It was 2:00 in the afternoon and I hit a curb and half tore off my under carriage shield. I was an hour away from home and couldnt drive dragging it that far. I called some places and they couldnt get me in. I noticed the Christian brother nearby and called them. Although they were full, they fit me in when i told them my dilemma. They didnt have the clips i needed in stock but they zip tied my shield up and made my car drivable. They had me road ready in less then 10 min and did not charge me. Weve used them in the past and my parents use them and theyve always done a great job. I appreciate all their help! Thank you, kind sir!

Very rude from the beginning! First question was if I was looking for “cheap” prices, ALL CUSTOMERS search for the BEST PRICE!! Over talked me the entire conversation. I purchased the part from Auto Zone (I have my receipt) and he said they don’t use customer purchased parts. No problem, your business choice. Just want to thank BOBBY for your WONDERFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE! Your calls are recorded, someone needs coaching and counseling on their customer service skills

Got my tires aligned. You must book an appointment to get your car worked on here. Took less than 45 minutes, they had free wifi in the waiting area and a comfy couch. The people were so nice and the price was reasonable. Good, honest people. If you get your tires from the Discount Tires directly next door sometimes Christian Brothers can give you a discount. (I didnt receive the discount because I waited too long to go after getting my tires)10/10, will go again

One of the cleanest shops I have ever been to! The Owner is extremely nice. Even the other mechanics were nice. Cant tell how many automotive shops I have been to that They had attitudes and were rude. They did my oil change very quickly and had me on my way in about 30 mins. Waiting room was nice and the bathrooms were spic & span! Cold water for you to enjoy! This is my new favorite shop! Kind of pricy but worth it!

The first time I took it here they were friendly, reasonable and professional. So when I had another issue come up on the same vehicle, I took it to them again. I left it from Thursday through the following Thursday because I was traveling. I asked them to check a ticking/knocking noise and my brakes. Friday afternoon I received a text with an estimate for 4 new brakes and a $360+ fee to remove a value cover to investigate the noise. I approved it. I never heard from them again, so I called Wednesday to see what the status was. The status was they forgot to do the primary task the car was taken in for - investigate the noise. Several hours later I got a text telling me it needed a new engine and the options were either $5000 or $8000 as it could not be repaired. So they did brakes on all 4 wheels but neglected to discover the engine needed replacement??? Worst part - dealer has repaired the engine, only needed some rockers replaced. The dealer was also shocked at the outrageous valve cover removal fee. No need for it whatsoever. They either lied, or didnt care, or both. Will NEVER recommend them again.

My break lights were out, so i eventually got pulled over by the police. I went to this place instead of trying to figure it out on my own, and let me tell you, i went in and they replaced my break lights within 15 minutes max. Very much reccomend, they will take care of your car needs. And great customer service.

I went in 6 months ago because my gas cap light and check engine light was on. They replaced my gas cap and said the light would go off in a few days. 6 months later, it’s still on. After researching this issue myself I found the problem and bought the part myself. The mechanic answering the phone said it probably wasn’t the problem and I needed to pay $99 for a diagnostic test. Another part was said to be the problem and I was charged for parts and labor on this supposedly bad sensor. Guess what, it’s been a week, $300+ later and still both lights are on. They didn’t even replace the part I bought for the issue. Very disappointed!

I took my truck in as it was overheating and they said I needed a new radiator and thermostat 1600$plus70$diagnosis fee they didnt put a new radiator in just a thermostat and a hose i got taken will never recommend this place

Just want to give a big shout out to Christian Brothers Auto store and also Billy for helping me out. My car came in with a loud scrapping sound. I dropped off my car and they called me within a hour to tell me that the back plating was just touching. Instead of charging me anything, they just fixed it and charged me nothing! When I dropped off my car, they also offered to drop me off since I was so close. Just want to thank them and say this is the A+ honest work I would recommend and come back to! Thank you guys again.

All store locations do a great job. Ive done plenty of business with the one in Waxahachie but this one in cedar hill I feel like I may have been sincerely over charged. My parts were 340$ but labor was 1700$. It just doesnt make a lick of sense to me especially when my vehicle is old school and completely simplistic.

James quickly checked out my car, was happy to explain the reasons my check engine light came on and was also happy to let me know the work needed would be covered under my warranty with the dealership I bought my car from. Went in thinking I had to get a whole wire replaced. Told them that I expected them to replace the wire and that I knew how much it’d cost. They call me and let me know that I don’t need to do all that. They did a simple corrosion clean on my battery connector and my car runs like it always has. What I thought was gonna be hundreds of dollars turned into a $36 fix. They could have dwindled me and I would’ve been none the wiser and probably still have thanked them, but they didn’t. I wish I could do more than just leave a good review.

Christian Brothers definitely lives up to their name. I was down on my luck right before Christmas my car was not taking gas in my gas gauge was not reading I was referred to take my car to Christian Brothers on up arrival I was in bits and pieces emotionally those guys at Christian Brothers treated and greeted me with so much love they promised me that everything would be okay and they would take care of me . And that they did. They called me later because there was more work than I thought more than I could ever even afford .those guys handled me and my car with so much love and care. I will never take my vehicles anywhere else but Christian Brothers they are full of love, very professional and family oriented thats what running a business is all about Christian Brothers made my day. They reassured me my seven children would have a Christmas because they had a huge heart. They also completed all thework on my vehicle that was needed with no real out-of-pocket experience for me. Its hard not to be skeptical about automotive places, but Christian Brothers Automotive is a wonderful company as they really do hold true to their values and stand behind their service with honesty and integrity. I highly recommend the Cedar Hill, TX location. I recently had an issue with an alignment and the CBA in Cedar Hill went above and beyond to correct the issue and make it right by re doing the alignment and replacing the tires. I consider this to be outstanding service! It has made me a Christian Brothers Automotive customer for life! I cant thank them enough for their help and service to their customers.

My starter just recently went out and im not originally from Dallas so didnt know where to take it to get fixed. Long story short i googled mechanics and these guys came up first for me. Had my car towed and the starter was fixed and replaced within 1 day. Steve helped me out with understanding what was wrong and explained everything they did to the car. Then just today He called me to check up on my car to see how it was running. Excellent customer service, I would highly recommend these guys to anyone looking for quality work that wont break the bank.

Took vehicle in for over heating and was quoted a price of 371.00. Went to pick up the next day and it was 455.00. Inquired of the difference and was advised that diagnostic fee was in addition to regardless of whether they did repair or not. Told him I was not aware of this and was never told so he was misleading me. He then accused me of calling him a liar which I did not and there is a difference between lying and misleading and failure to communicate. There was a witness as well whom would back my claim. There was never an explanation of what the other charge was for. He seemed anxious to inform me that he wouldnt release the vehicle if I did not pay the inflated amount. I take it very personal to be accused of calling him a liar when I did not-- those were his words. I question this persons stability and lack of understanding to try to resolve a dispute that they clearly created. I would not have any work done there unless allcharges are in writing. Recently had an issue with City Garage but they were man enough to admit their mistake and refund the charges. You cannot treat customers this way and expect to be around long.

WARNING, Their estimates tend to include thorough inspection, engine cleaning, replacing hoses, maybe some adjustments. All come with hefty costs. You probably wont see a difference so trust your instinct and AVOID it.

Fortunately, I havent had to go there too often, but every time I have to go, I have gotten EXCEPTIONAL service at the Cedar Hill, TX location. Everyone is so friendly and are fair and honest. They never do ANYTHING without calling me first, giving me a full explanation of what is wrong, and giving me the option to have it repaired. They are a little pricy, but they are very good at what they do. I dont mind paying the price for good, honest, reliable, ethical service!A HUGE plus that most of the guys in there are Christians and are playing Christian music when you walk in the door!Thanks Christian brothers!

I would give them 0 stars if I could. NEVER go there. Christian Brothers are not Christians don’t be deceived by the name. My mom spent over 2k within 2 months and her car want even start and she went back 2 additional times and each time they tell her it’s something else and expect her to pay hundreds of more dollars. On July 2018 my mother went in to get her car (2006 PT Cruiser) repaired she was told she would get a diagnostics and that fee would go toward repairs she paid a total of $1234.23 for cooling system performance test $54.50. Radiator-Replace $489.55, Thermostat and Gasket-replace $185.83, Front Brake Service $341.93, Engine Oil Pressure Switch $80.28, total parts $496.09, Labor $656, shop supplies $39, sales tax $44.14 and the car was still not running right. So she went back three weeks later and paid $761.86 Replace A/C Hose Assembly $231.18, Evacauate And Recharge A/C System $156.16, Install Thread Insert in oil Pan $147.95, Replace All Drive Belts $172.70, Total Parts $281.89, Total Labor $425.10, Shop Supplies $28.28 other fees $1.00 sales tax $25.59 after 5-6 days the AC stopped working, so she called and sent the car back. Where she was told they didn’t work on the AC and it would be another charge they estimate $ 968.61 to replace a/c evaporator core parts $167.38 labor $763 shop supplies $22.56 tax $15.67, so she left without getting it fixed. September 18, 2018 while on her way to work she drove off a block away the car completely cut off, so she called me to help her push it home. The next day I called them and spoke with James he asked me what was wrong with the car and I replied if I was the mechanic I wouldn’t call you. And my mother had spent just about 2k less than a 2 month period and the car sounded raggedy and the AC didn’t work and I wanted to know what exactly did she pay for. James replied what did I expect for a high mileage vehicle then said he would get the tow to come pick it up. So she had it towed there then Steven called and said $99.95 for Diagnostics, when I called to talk to him about the fee he stated she never had one, how can that be with the two services she received, I guess they just came up with something to charge her for since he claims she never received it before and $95 for a wrecker James never said she would be charged to come get the car in which was 1.3 miles away, she has AAA she could have gotten it told from them a service she already pays for, so that was extra money she didn’t have to spend if she knew they was going to charge for picking the car up. Steven gave her an estimate of $469.87 for a Fuel Pump in which she declined, Steven said your daughter was upset, my mom said yes because if you knew my car wasn’t good enough to fix why didn’t you say that up front instead of me wasting money. Steven replies, we can’t advise you. Steve also stated to my mom I thought you were getting rid of this car, hmmm, it doesn’t matter what she was going to do with the car, she paid for a service not a half job. Now how does any of this make sense, she will NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER go back!!!!!

Christian Brothers replaced a battery in my car in November of last year. The car has failed to start several times over the last few weeks and we suspected that it might be the battery. We took the car to the Midlothian store and were told that they wouldnt even look at the battery because it wasnt bought there. The Cedar Hill location said the battery was fine and did nothing. They couldnt explain why the car wouldnt start either. We then took the car to Auto Zone and Kwik Kar and both of them stated that the cranking amps on the battery were insufficient to start the car every time and that the battery needed to be replaced. I took the car back to the Christian Brothers location in Cedar Hill today. He couldnt look at the battery today and wanted to keep the vehicle for several days in order to check it out. I offered to replace the battery myself with one from another company and return the defective one for a refund and he refused that offer. He stated that the other companies who checked out the battery using standard equipment were either incompetent or out trying to get me to buy their product. The fact that Christian Brothers could be doing the same thing was not lost on me. They have not been customer friendly or helpful when asked to correct this problem.Thank you for your response. Before I brought my vehicle to you for the last time, I had the battery checked by two other automotive companies. They used standard diagnostic equipment and techniques and found the battery to be faulty. I then took it to Christian Brothers to get the battery replaced. I was told that I would have to leave my vehicle for 3 days in order for you to perform a 30 minutes (max) diagnostic. I then went home, removed the battery and took it to Walmart. They also performed a diagnostic test of the battery and came to the same conclusion. The paperwork that they gave me states Battery fails to meet industry accepted standards and should be replaced. I purchased a new battery from Walmart, for less than 1/2 of what Christian Brothers charged, and installed it. The vehicle is working perfectly now and I have had not further problems. I have paperwork from Kwik Kar and Walmart showing that the battery is defective that I will be uploading to my credit card company website to aid them in their investigation.

I will NEVER return. The name Christian Brothers lured me to this company. I took my car there to get an estimate to repair the A/C. I was charged $50, which was expected. They quoted me over $1600 for the repair, also expected from a chain garage. On the way to the repair shop my heat light came on so I decided to have them check that out as well. They told me it would be another $50 to check it out, ok fine. About 30 minutes after authorizing the diagnostic, I get a call from the front desk person asking to come back in so they could break the BAD news to me. Once back in the building, the gentleman proceeds to tell me that my engine needed to be replaced and my total for the diagnostic was $116. For the record, my car does not smoke, sputter, hesitate to accelerate, or any other symptoms that would indicate the engine needed to be replaced. So, I got a second opinion (and paid another diagnostic fee). It turns out that all I needed was to full up my coolant. SMH never again.

Needed a repair done. Took it to them for a free estimate of the work. I was called with a quote about 3 times higher than what I knew the job should cost in a repair facility. If I had the time to do the job myself, I would and I could save more money. But the absolute absurdity of this estimate for the work that was needed is a very good reason why these types of businesses have a bad name. If you want customers $$$ you need to make fair estimates. Bullying a customer into doing it your way or no way is not anywhere in my business textbooks. Marketing 101 will tell you how NOT to represent the company/brand and this was a fine example.

Went in on Wednesday 7/12/17 to schedule an appointment for an alignment. Came back on Thursday 7/13/17 at 10am for my scheduled alignment appointment. They took the car said itd be an hour to an hour and a half, so I waited in the lobby. About an hour later they told me not only did I need an alignment, but a bearing and my struts needed replacing. I got quoted a little over $1,400 for the parts and labor to do the bearings and struts. I asked how long it would take because I needed to be at work the next day by 5pm and couldnt afford not to have a car. I was told it will be ready before 5 on Friday 7/14/17. I said sure, thatd be fine, got shuttled home. On Friday 7/14/17 I woke up around 11 expecting a call hopedfully telling me my car was ready. I had a voicemail from the shop and called them back. I refused a repair that would prevent coolant from leaking, as the repairs I had already signed for would drain my entire savings and paycheck. After some salesmens guilt about it I was told my car would be ready soon. At 5pm I went in to work thanks to a generous offer for a ride from family, and I had left my phone on until 5:30 against the advice of my coworkers, as I was hoping I would get the call that my car was finally ready. By 5:30, needing to save battery life on my phone so that I could call my ride later in the night, I turned my phone off. On my break at 7:30, I noticed a voicemail left at 5:55 pm, five minutes before the garage closed, finally telling me that my car was ready and that they closed soon so I should give them a call if I was on my way. Now mind you, this has been my first repair done through any of these shops, so I assumed that I would be able to pick up my car on Saturday, as many car repair places are open on Saturdays and closed on Sundays. Not so with this chain! So now I am not only deprived of my entire savings and paycheck (which doubled as my college fund for the upcoming semester) but I am also deprived of my car and the ease of getting to work without help for a grand total of four days, when I was essentially promised that the repairs would be finished before 5pm on Friday 7/14/17. The entire ordeal has been almost farcical and has put so much undue stress and strain on me that I am quite honestly livid as of right now. I have yet to try and call to see if there is any potentiality of being able to get my car at a reasonable hour today (7/15/17) as right now that is the least that could be done to quell this situation.

I took my work truck here for starting issues. It took about 3 hours for them to finish the job, which should have only been a 1 hour job. That part i can excuse. However, I recently had to have the very same repair done with a more extensive and properly done repair work. The 2nd shop repaired/replaced all of the components associated with the malfunction, instead of replacing just 1 component like Christian Brothers did. And to top it all off... it cost me almost half as much.

These guys a crooks and liars! I thought I had a good experience with them in the past so when my truck was vandalised I had my insurance company send my truck to them. After having my truck for a week the quote they have me was $300 plus deductible over what my insurance was going to pay. Their explanation was a parts maintance... for greese, bolts... I asked my insurance company about this and they informed me this that they tried to negotiate the price of the parts and labor, but CB decided to charge me and not be honest about it. So I had it moved to another shop, didnt have any problems after that. Christian in name only! Dont go there, or at least get a second quote.
