I’m not from the area, but my son was refereeing in the area and I decided to get my nails done while he was working. I went to one salon but the wait was too long. I looked for another salon and My Nail came up on google. They only had 2.5 stars but I decided to give them a try. Rose did my gel manicure and she did an amazingggg job. I love when a nail tech takes their time and does not rush through my service. She took her time and did the PERFECT gel manicure on my nails. The attention to detail was everything. My nails look amazing. The service was reasonably priced at $35 and I tipped Rose $10. We’ll work it. If I didn’t live 45 minutes away this would definitely be my go-to nail salon.

Full set looked fine but within 48 hours one nail had popped off while I was washing dishes. I returned to the shop where they replaced the nail at no cost. The other reviews about them not being open to criticism is very true. He got a bit rude when I said the fake nail he chose was too big for my nail: he I was wrong and he’s the professional. As u can see from the final product, it is too big (and crooked).

The owner is always friendly and accommodating. I got a fill in with color changing Gel polish. The Prices are not consistent, I got a gel fill in for $25 and i went back 3 weeks later and they increased the price to $35

This place is a hit or miss, I’ve read the reviews saying the acrylics don’t last long but mine lasted over 2 weeks, and their pedicure service is not that bad. It’s not the most dated place and they could improve on the cleanliness. For the price and service I recommend it.

I enjoyed the service I received. They took me and my friend in as a walk in customer. The details were amazing compared to another shop I went to two prior.I would suggest this location for a manicure and pedicure.

I like that My Nails has a parking lot. When I went in today there were no other customers (I attribute it to be a late, rainy Sunday afternoon). My nails were done by Ann. She did a good job (although my cuticles were cut a little too close). I really liked my nails.

My polish on my toes lasted well but my feet werent scrubbed enough to last as long as I am used to. Massage chair for pedicures not as comfy as I am used to. It was nice to get out and be pampered though.

It’s either a hit or a miss, they charge completely too much for the quality they provide. They are friendly only if you don’t complain otherwise they will get smart with you. I don’t recommend if you like quality nails.

I am only giving them a 3 because the staff is nice. BUT, I went in on a Wednesday, and spent $70 (with a $20 tip) full gel set with 4 nail designs. Friday, my nails were peeling. I go in Saturday, and tell the guy I just wanted the polished changed because it was the mood polish, and I had it peel before. The tech started to soak my nails off. The photos I shared are after they fixed them. My nails are all uneven, Ann rushed my designs, my 4 year old could have did a better job with the snowflakes. They made the skin on my fingers peel, the nails are just awful. And to top it off they made me pay $25. So in 4 days I spent a total of $95, and my nails look awful. I am just blown away. I will not be returning here. Worst money I have ever spent!!!!

My first visit to My Nails was great on Saturday, November 16, 2019! Kenny was personable and professional! Great price for a gel full set! I will be back.

Will never be returning to this place it’s sad how down hill it has gone the lady Anne will be the biggest down fall to this business she Over charges and make up prices depending on what she thinks she can get away with the quality of the nails are not even what they used to be my nails literally lifted up after 2 days they re use the parafin wax they use for pedicures so I would recommend never getting that! Nobody in there is friendly but Kenny but he rushes you just as much so moral of the story I wouldn’t wast your money or time on this place

They are over priced and i was not happy with my outcome of .my services. My pedicure was good but my pinky toe was filled to close to my cuticle causing it to break my skin. I had a overlay manicure with gel polish all of the polish around my cuticles were not smoothed down and also 3 of my fingers were nicked on my cuticle area causing my skin to break open. I will not be returning back.

I got acrylic nails that lasted 4 weeks! I even play outside and do sports. The only reason they lasted only that long was because I had to take them off. None fell off! The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because there weren’t that many colors to choice from of my liking. But I do recommend. They have very nice prices!

Came to this salon on a whim. The salon I wanted to go to had a 20min wait so I came here. First, I asked for somewhat long nails and even showed the technician the desired length. She cut them way shorter. I’ll deal with it. When I went to pay, she didn’t give me a total but just ran my card for $50. When I inquired about the cost of my full set and eyebrow wax I was told I was being charged $5 extra for “long” nails. You must be kidding me! My nails are hardly long (about 2mm beyond the skin) and definitely don’t constitute an extra $5. Needless to say, I will never make this mistake again.

I went in with my daughters. They had gel nails, I received a pedicure and gel nails. My guy was so fast, my service took like 5 minutes longer than the girls just getting nails. The pedicure was so fast he wiped lotion on and wiped it off with a towel. No massage.

This salon is very professional. They are open 365 days. The workers are very friendly and welcoming. This will definitely be my nail salon of choice from now on. Love this place

Ann is the worst technician I have ever had. This is the second time I have went to her and had a terrible experience. I now have an ingrown toenail because of something she did with my big toe. She also filed the skin on two of my fingers when she did my nails to the point that they were bleeding. You can see my actual fingernails on the side of my fingers where she did not cover the nail correctly with acrylic. Her attitude was horrible. The last time I was there she talked on her phone the entire time. Not a good place to get your nails or toes done. Carol

The owners try very hard to please the customer. They are very hard working and use sanitized equipment. Great price for the service. Only caution is they tend to over cut the cuticle if you fail to advise them.

I used to come here weekly to have my nails done and it was my go to spot. I recently have been back in the area and stopped by to have some work done. My last experience was not what I remember at all. I was pushed to the side and other customers that were recieving more service were taken ahead of me. They gave me a hard time when I asked them to file my nails evenly. I chalked this up to a busy day. Well I just stopped by again to give them another chance. Absolutely horrible. They were extremely kind this time, but I asked for a french manicure with gel polish. Each of my nails were different shapes and lengths, more so then when I came in. After 15 minutes of the gentleman for some reason not understanding what was wrong with the work he had done I asked for a simple clear coat and to switch to a plain manicure. When something was wrong before they started getting so much business they actually cared. Their customer rapport and attention to detail have gone out the window. I am very upset about this. Just know they dont care about people who helped them get to where they are now.

Their acrylics DO NOT last long. I went in to get acrylics on a Friday and by the following Monday the nail polish was already chipping, and also by the following Wednesday a nail broke off. The staff put their bare feet on the couch. They rush their work and seem impatient.$35 for acrylics that don’t even last a week, WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME!

My husband and I have been going here for Years and only dealing with Lam who is no longer with My Nails. Last week, I was getting my lashes done from Kenny’s wife in the back room. While my eyes were closed I hear the door open, a minute later a lady starts talking to me. I couldn’t believe that they sat another client in the same room as me without my permission. I took the tape off my eyes and walk out. I try to give them a second chance today March 9th. It took Kenny’s wife 2 hrs and she didn’t even complete my pedi and gel. My French gel looks like a 2 year old did it. Kenny’s tried to argue with me, keep in mind I’ve been a loyal customer every week for years! I always have to tell them to use a new nail file and a new buffer and add alcohol to the tub since they clean it with their dirty sponge. I notice the shop was empty both times since Lam is gone. I will not be back!!! wish then well.

Jonh is really sweet and pretty amazing. He does a wonderful job. He trys his best to make you feel comfortable. His leg massages are the best too.

I have been to my nails on multiple occasions this time was different. When my daughter and I walked in one of the employees was stretched out on the couch. We were attended to promptly but the pedicure was very rushed and with minimal effort. After completing my pedicure in record time the employee took hand soap washed out the foot basin and dried it with the towel he had previously used for my pedicure. In addition the employee that did my daughters pedicure rinsed the foot basin and didnt use any type of soap/disinfectant. I will not be going back. I do not want any type of infections.

I am deeply sadden to write this review today. I dont take lightly writing a negative review as I too am a business owner. I have been going to this salon for over 10 years and the whole time Kenny has owned it 6 years faithfully. A few weeks ago I came in to the shop and Kenny sent me to a women I had never been seen before to have my gel polish removed. I normally see John who is wonderful but he was working with another client. The women kept asking me if I had acrylic on my nails. I repeatedly said NO. She gets out the electric file which was of no alarm to me because some of the technicians use it in lieu of soaking and wrapping them to take off the gel polish. Then she asks if I want my nails cut down I said no then I realized that they would be longer on one hand then the other I say yes I should to make them more even. So she begins to talk in Korean a mile a minute about me to the other technicians they are coming over and looking at my nails one by one and she continues to talk to them. Not knowing what she is saying but with no question I know its about me I replied Im sorry I didnt realize how different my one hand is from the other I just want them evened out. She finally stopped talking about me. I get my nails done and leave to go out of town. While out of town my nails begin to ache and tear way low close to the bottom of my nail bed OUCH!! I have never had an issue like this due to the fact I have very very thick nails hence the reason she probably kept saying you have acrylic on nail? Now I am in pain and extremely frustrated after the fourth nail rips low and is painful. I called Kenny and told him what had happened and that I was in Florida. The first thing he says to me..ready for this? Why you not tell me....HUMMMM arent I telling you now Kenny? I am out of town my nails are tearing and I am in pain. I know it was because of your technician and I have never complained about this in the past I am a good client. He tells me to call first and come to see him. I got you ,I got you Lauren his famous saying. When I return I called and he told me to come in which was today at 1:30. He says for me to go to the girl and have my nails wrapped to start soaking off the gel polish. When he calls me over he says I will do for you THIS TIME I said what? He said you complain. I said yes to you the owner of the establishment...who else am I supposed to complain to Kenny? You told me to call and come in once I returned from Florida. Your technician did this to me Kenny my nails have never ever torn like this before I have been coming here of over 10 years and the whole 6 youve owned it!!!. Then he does my nails and says while hitting himself on the side of his head YOU need to think! Lauren you need to think do not let technician do this to you. I said Kenny I had no idea she was filing them this thin. Once I realized what must have been the issue I called you the owner YOU! I came back in just as you told me to. Now you insult me and tell me while hitting your head I need to think? Its my fault? You are supposed to hire trained technicians to know the difference of acrylic or someones real nails and you need to have them speak and understand us as the paying client I said NO I do not have acrylic and NO I dont want acrylic. It is because of this type of treatment that I will NEVER go back not ever. Shame on you Kenny SHAME on you! Big mistake Ive been a loyal customer but no more. If you keep treating your paying clients like this you wont have a business to run. Theres a new salon opening up called nail Trix off Washington Blvd. I am waiting for them to open up. I am ready to be a loyal client to a loyal service.

I have been a patron of this establishment for 5 years now. When I first came, the atmosphere was very welcoming and the owner, Kenny, was very accommodating to customers. The work was consistent and good. I have more than enough experience to tell you the real about this place. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt all this time and kept going back because I remembered when it was such a better salon.Over time, this place has gone completely down hill. You can walk in at anytime and see techs lounging on couches and talking on phones. They are completely lazy. The owner, himself, sits in the front watching YouTube videos. His wife is great though (even though she speaks very little English).The salon is dirty and the techs are unhygienic, as I witnessed the woman doing my pedicure take the same exact file that she used on my foot to use on another woman’s foot without sanitizing.The last few times I went, my nail either cracked, polish came off, or my nail completely broke within a few days of leaving the salon. I get my nails done every 2-3 weeks and I normally never have that problem. Also, they don’t care if they leave you with lumpy acrylic or crooked nails. They claim that it’s your fault if that happens. “It’s because you were moving.”... Yeah, whatever.NONE of the techs speak English that well or at least pretend not to know what you are talking about. Do not expect to hear anyone try to speak English, as they only speak to each other.The nail polish bottles are so OLD that they have changed colors. How I know this is that I asked for a certain gel color that was displayed and the tech went back to get it. When she brought it out, I explained to her that it looked nothing like the color on display. The tech next to her explains that it changed colors because it was old. This in itself is not an issue, as things get old. However, if I had not said anything, she wouldn’t of have continued to use it even though she knew the color was different. Shady.To top it all off, the prices are arbitrary. I was getting a pedicure, I was given the sheet with the different types of pedicures. I said I wanted the basic pedicure which was $20. The tech then says “it’s $5 to get polish taken off.” I’m like whatttt? When did you start charging $5 to take off existing nail polish? And of course the next time I went, there was no charge for polish removal.And I have plenty more stories to tell. Needless to say, I don’t go here anymore. So, please don’t go here. This was the dirtiest salon that I have ever been to! I had to hold my purse in my lap because the tables were so dirty. The air is not well ventilated and customers should receive a mask instead of inhaling the toxic air of nail salons. Man rushed through my pedicure after I chose one of the more expensive ones and cut my nails crooked. Icing on the cake was my wax job :( My eyebrow is now.... well-- no words to describe and hope that they grow back soon. Again, I will not go back- dirtiest salon in Catonsville.

Very rushed manicure, the man doing it clearly wanted to get to two other people who came in wanting manicures and pedicures. Cut me twice while working on my cuticles. The end product is an uneven, bubbled, ugly gel manicure. Prices have raised at this store to $30 for a gel manicure.

I have used this salon frequently but wont be coming back.Not sure if it was a new employee but she used extremely hot water when washing off my legs,cut my nails way too short and I asked for a design on my big toes twice & she totally ignored me Maybe a language issue?

I had an awful experience the first time I went here but decided to try it again. The second time was just as bad. The owner was very unprofessional and said terrible things about other nail salons in the neighborhood. Its one thing to talk up your own business but its very rude to put down other businesses. It made me feel uncomfortable because I have had great service at other salons that he was putting down.When he wasnt putting down other local businesses, he was talking about himself and what a great business man he is.Based on my experience, I would believe everything the reviewer who claims to be a former employee said. It matches up with my experience including the fact that both times I went, his daughter was in the shop at odd hours.I can only hope this place will shut down soon. Not what we need in a nice neighborhood like Catonsville.

The salon was dirty and the man who did my nails was pushy. He kept trying to talk me into things I didnt want. He told me terrible things about the nail salon across the street which turned out to be lies. The nail salon across the street (ahh nails) is much better...do yourself a favor and go there.

Service was standard. I have concerns about tht sterilization of tools. The person helping me did not even address me during my mani or pedi, but she didnt have a problem laughing and joking with her friends. Also, a huge chunk of my cuticle was taken out with the nippers. I informed her that I was squeezing in a mani pedi in between class at umbc for my wedding on Saturday. Nails still were sloppy from the gel application. She tried to fix it but never asked if I was satisfied. Wont go back. Ss
