This is a fantastic, and welcoming Bjj gym. Josh is an amazing, kind, and patient instructor who is just as fantastic with advanced adults as he is with beginning children. I simply can’t say enough good things about my experiences here.

Highly recommend. Josh creates a welcoming, disciplined environment for his students and still makes it fun for the kids! He himself is an energetic, patient, and dedicated instructor and is diligent about passing on high standards to his students!

Master Josh is very discipline and good with working with children and adults of all ages. Takes his time when training and executing. Great place to learn Brazilian Jiu-jitsu the proper way. Recommend it for everyone of all ages.

Both my daughters and I have been taking classes here for a few months and I cant speak highly enough of it. Josh is an incredible teacher, as are the assistant teachers Anthony and The General. The atmosphere is exactly what it should be - theres nobody here who wants to show you how tough they are (despite some of them being very, very skilled), everyone is very friendly, and they have been very helpful to me as a beginner. My kids also love the classes, and are doing better at home and school than they were before starting class.As if that werent enough, there is also a world class striking class taught by THE Kathy Long. Amazing stuff.

Josh is a superb instructor. He is very detailed when teaching techniques and goes over them slowly to make sure you got it down. Very humbling and welcoming guy. The environment in the academy is so relax that you almost dont want to leave once class is done. If youre ever in the desert and want a place to train, this is it!

Came out on holiday to Palm Desert and wanted to train while on my trip. I was lucky to come across Hurricane BJJ. The Professor was very welcoming and open to drop ins. The students were all pretty relaxed and helpful when it came to rolling. Had a great experience at Hurricane BJJ and would recommend it to anyone coming to the area.

I was in the area for a short vacation and dropped in for a class.It was a great vibe and solid BJJ all around. Id come back in a heartbeat. Josh and Anthony were super-welcoming and helpful, even though I was a stranger in off the street. Everyone was friendly and rolled at a nice even pace. Awesome.

While on vacation in Palm Springs from NJ, I dropped in for a gi morning class. Everyone was very friendly and inviting and the techniques were explained perfectly. I can’t wait to use them at home. If I lived here, I’d definitely train at Hurricane BJJ.

I flew in from Seattle to get some sun and I did a drop in at this academy this evening. One of the best jiujitsu experiences I’ve had traveling out of state. The moment I walked in I knew this was the place I wanted to train at while in town. The facility was in great condition. After speaking with Joshua, the instructor, afterward and finding out he did all the work with his own hands i had even more respect for the place.I arrived a bit early before the adult class and watched him coach the kids. It was a large kids class and he taught with great attention and playfulness for the youth, a true example of how it should be done.The adult class started and he walked us through a very good warm up and we went right into the technique. From the way he taught, I knew he had lots of experience and paid close attention to detail. It was smooth and practical for all levels of jiujitsu.I even had the pleasure to chat with Joshua for a while after class. I cannot recommended this academy more for anyone in the area or dropping by.

I was traveling for work and Hurricane was right around the corner so I had to bring my gi. When I messaged Professor Dubinsky on Facebook about a drop in, he responded very quickly and encouraged me to come. Very welcoming. I met him when I arrived and we talked for about 20 minutes. You can tell he loves what he does and has a great relationship with his students. One of his brown belts, Coach Santiago, taught the class. Very technical warmup and technique that was a great core workout. The other students I trained with, Charles, Robert, and Brian were all great guys and great rolls. I am very pleased with my first drop in experience anywhere. If you’re in Palm Springs and aren’t either dropping in or training full time at Hurricane, you should reassess your life decisions.

I had the privilege of training at hurricane bjj for over a week visiting from out of town. Very welcoming and friendly atmosphere with minimal egos and good vibes. Professor Josh treated me like one of his own students and took time to break down technique with precise details. If I was to live in Palm Springs, no doubt I would train here and would highly recommend hurricane bjj to all levels from beginners to advanced.Go visit and train, ossss

My family and I are in town for the weekend. I shot Professor Josh message on FB messager letting him know I was visiting and looking for a place to train. He responded and invited me to train. What a great way to start a Friday. If you are ever visiting from out of town drop in and train with these guys and if you live local this is a great place to train. Great technique, very nice studio and everyone was very inviting. Thank you again hurricane bjj for starting off my weekend on the right foot. My Kids love this place good positive atmosphere. Great instructor and patient with his students. As long as I can I will continue to bring my kids to Hurricane BJJ.

Josh is hands down the best instructor that my sons have had. Josh has even built confidence in my oldest son to take a stand against bullies. Definitely a person you will want your child to have as a mentor!

Ive been taking my son to Hurricane jiu jitsu and he loves it. It is a great learning atmosphere and Josh is so patient. The instructors give lots of individualized attention and they make sure everyone is involved and having fun.

While visiting Palm Springs with the wife I went to Hurricanebjj. After doing some research looking at different academies in the area I liked the energy in the photos and the descriptions on the website. I was not disappointed... Professor Josh Dubinsky was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic.I have been training martial arts for over 30 years (Bjj for over 10 yrs) and if I lived in the area, this is where I would choose to continue to develop my Jiu Jitsu skills. Great training with great people- what more could you ask for?
