I chose this locale because of the equipment most important to my running needs. I live a half-mile away from them and their hours allow for workouts in prime time or at night. They have a friendly staff and can answer any questions that may come up.

The club is clean and theres a lot of equipment to use. I dont typically go during the busier hours, so its been great to be there and not have to wait for machines or weights. I also enjoy the classes Ive taken so far. They even called me to let me know a class I had signed up for had been cancelled.

They have every machine and free weight imaginable plus an Olympic size pool and many great classes. Everything is always clean and in good condition.

Great gym. Clean and has really good equipment. Having to make reservations makes me feel more comfortable because there is less people. Wish the gym was 24/7

7,26,21The Cathedral City InShape facility is a wonderful experience as a large open space gym; light comes in, there is casual space to rest, to prepare, there is an ambience unlike other gym facilities I have attended.Then the people who work there extend that ambience as you move about and work out, you feel welcome, at ease, easily assisted if need be.The Trainers that used to be present were one of the great features of InShape here.  I hope they come back.The pretty Manager is a bright, always working spirit too!When I have been able to workout,  I have stayed Healthy in mind and body and spirit.When all the gyms were closed, I truly deteriorated. Confining exercise to my home space was not working, most especially during the months of being confined to indoors because of the impossible heat here in the Coachella Valley.Whenever InShape or another gym would open up for a few weeks, it was like finding . . . Water in the desert!

This gym is perfect for my needs. Clean, friendly, nice equipment, pool and more. I am very excited they reopened again and hopefully it will be for a long time during these unprecedented times. Thanks for being opened.

Indoor pool is perfect and away from hot sun. Private shower stalls are sanitary, quiet atmosphere. Only issue regards the lack of communication; phones are not answered at times

Reopening has been simplified for the members. The scheduling is so easy with the app, the facility is extremely clean, the associates are very helpful and pleasant. I truly appreciate all that In Shape has done to make sure we can return in a healthy, safe environment. thank you

Wonderful except theyre closing tomorrow @ 12 for the 3 weeks. its a shame as they did an excellent job limiting people, checking everyones temp upon arrival & making sure patrons cleaned equipment after every use. Well await the opening yet again.

The staff has been great in their handling of the precautions necessary to ensure the safety of the members and staff. I’ve seen staff members wiping down equipment frequently. As members, if we all do our part and wipe down after our use of equipment, in addition to what the staff is already doing, we can minimize the risk of contracting any virus or illness. I do also like the reservation process. It was very easy to schedule.

Finally the gym is open......but how safe is it??? Was in today and there were several members in the free weight area with their masks BELOW Their nose......Masks are ineffective if not used properly...wow...how long till they close again? Incredibly disappointed

We love coming here! I love the opportunity to join in on any classes and learn the proper way of doing things. The classes are a great way if you’re new to the gym world and not too sure where to start. Majority of the staff are very friendly and helpful. My children also really enjoy the new family nights the gym offers too and wish they can be more often.

Nice gym attempting to stay open during the virus. The staff is always cleaning and they limit the members on the floor. Good all around facility with free weights, cardio, pool, and trainers.

Pre-Covid19, In-Shape worked out great for me. I trained early in the morning before work. Now i cant due to the late opening and no showers. However, I still recommend the club to others if their schedule fit.

I checked out In Shape after competitor gym I had used for years banned news channels which I enjoyed while using elliptical and treadmill machines. This mass punishment approach by a manager that didn’t know how to handle bad behavior of two members led me to seek other options. In Shape turned out to be a much better gym, better equipment, more classes, and no banning of Fox, MSNBC, CNN and local news channels. I’m happy I voted with my feet, finding an outstanding, modern facility.

Clean and well equipped

I am so disappointed with this company as I cant get some simple questions answered. Their customer service is terrible.

The gym is great, people are friendly, my kickstart with Albert was amazing. He was extremely personable, encouraging, and reinforced when I did an excessive correctly in a way that made me feel proud and excited. Overall I’ve been there for less than a month but I can really see myself finally achieving my fitness goals!

I love the Cathedral City instructors and the TRX. I love being able to watch a game while slow-walking on the treadmill, or switch over to a cooking show for a minute. I love that theres a new juice bar next door! I love how the staff get me in the door super quick for check-in.

I love the classes, especially Frank’s “easy does it”. I love the spin classes (great music). Sometimes I just run, row, swim laps and/or do the circuit. There’s such a variety vs doing the same hum drum every visit.

My boyfriend and I have gone for the past 2 years while we vacation in Palm Springs, staff has always been great in accommodating us. This year Octavio went above and beyond when helping us with memberships and overall service. 10/10 would recommend and will be visiting again!

Personally I love this health club. It has all amenities, that you can ask for. Massage chairs and one laying down. Steam room, many classes that they offer. Many options for everyone.

Their childcare is the best. My daughter has so much fun and feels welcome to play and have fun rather than feeling babysat. I would recommend an electronic check-in and check-out for security and peace of mind (similar to 24 Hour Fitness). It is the least intimidating gym. Very clean. Best equipment. The layout allows for a sense of privacy. It is extremely clean. It is a little more expensive than other gyms, but there are so many advantages and you really do get what you pay for. Comfort is everything.

Great Gym. New, Clean, and a lot of Fitness Classes. Night Classes fill up quickly, so get there early. Look for their specials online or ask a person whos selling a membership for a special, as they always seem to have specials running. I got my membership for 20 then 20 a month. Super Duper deal

Clean, they have a pool, sauna and steam room. More than enough workout equipment 💪 they also have the beast area for those that want to work out on heavy weights, they have more than enough treadmills, ellipticals, stair steppers, and a whole bunch of other things Im still trying to learn. Everyone there is friendly and always willing to help. Plenty of open area locker room so you dont have to bump into the guy next to you when youre changing. Its just a real nice place

David the Water Aerobics instructor has changed and extended MY LIFE! All clubs need to be clean and have updated equipment or no one would join. But its the people that make In-shape GREAT! I was on 24 hr. oxygen carrying it into the pool area to swimming laps using a noodle. I would finish when Davids class started. He encouraged me to try his class. That it would help to expand my lungs. That the gravity in the water would help me breathe. Well Im pretty stubborn and when u cant breathe everything hurts. For 6+ weeks he never gave up on me! Finally I tried it. I loved it. After taking taking 2 classes a week for 6 months I no longer needed to carry oxygen anymore. David is a true true lifetime fitness professional and really cares about people! People like him are what makes this club great!

As always, the staff are very helpful and friendly. The facility is very clean and the gym has a myriad of weights and other equipment.

This is one of the only full service gyms in the valley. In-shape offers a cardio theater with more ways to build up a sweat than you can shake a stick at. There are plenty of free weights. Theres a 30 min circuit area as well as other machines. I chose this place in particular because of their indoor lap pool along with steam, sauna, and jacuzzi. I appreciate In-shape for its cleanliness. As a VIP member I have access to dry hydro massage beds, a couple incredible massage chairs, tanning, and towel service. I came in on a promotion where I put down $20 and pay $40/month. Definitely well worth it.

Its clean, bright, and the staff are friendly. I also enjoy the incentive gifts that are offered for using the gym. Plenty of parking is also high up on my list of good things about the gym.

This Gym has serious problem with being clean. There is dust and sweat signs on every machine??. There is all sweat marks on all sofas and chairs in sitting areas?. Their trainers work out right when members arrive and trying to reach their work out goals?. Then they raise your membership fees??. Something seriously wrong with this Gym?. This gym needs to shut down because we members come their to improve our health not get sick??.

One of the better gyms in Coachella valley in Cathedral City. Has big lap pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Big weight room and also lots of alternative weight systems like Jacobs Ladder. Can be crowded also has aerobic spin etc type classes and kids area.

Good place to work out. They have a pool, aqua challenge classes are great, they also have a cycling room, and a ladies only workout room. There are showers, lockers which you can rent monthly, a sauna, and steam room. Pool area is slippery even with shoes, and the gym machines are not always clean.

Great Gym. Clean, very geared towards an eclectic group. Young, old, gym rats all are welcome. Clean facilities. The showers could be warmer but overall a solid gym!

Wow Im so shocked. Not only with this gym but the entire corporation. Its really confusing because everything was perfect for the first two months. UNTIL, one day when I was not only bullied but harassed by not only the head trainer but the district manager. Their complaint was supposedly I was training someone. When in reality i was just working out with a friend. Lets be honest who doesnt like to work out with a friend. Having someone who can ease the stress of having to workout alone and to help encourage you is of most importance in my eyes. Yet, I guess in the eyes of this gym its seen as a form of competition. I guess the trainers are insecure and really struggling to get memberships. If you have to revoke one of your first members who not only joined the gym the day of, but who also referred several members to the business, its very disappointing. I had high hopes for this gym.Long story short all I can say is I am very displeased. Not only have I referred several members to this gym but to be bullied and given the runaround is so disrespectful. After weeks of trying to get in contact with corporate to get things resolved professionally I have finally given up.Dont take my word for it ask the employees. I have been told that there has been several complaints against the head trainer. However, I guess they are going to side with a bully rather than a loyal customer. Anyone thinking of joining this gym I recommend you find a more professional business to deal with.P.S. I have made a post in the past and for it to be taken down is insulting. Yelp please keep this posting up so everyone can know the truth. Thanks.

When I enrolled the guy who assisted me, lied to me. He said I had an extra month because of the promotion but when it came the end of he contract, it did not come up. Fortunately, the manager was nice enough to honor it. But still it was a hassle. Their contract is not clear. Ask and get the contract so you dont have any surprises. Otherwise, the gym is very good. It has all the amenities that I wanted.

This place is a treasure in the community. The facilities are great. My wife loves the pool. Exercise classes conducted by Frank are not to be missed. other class leaders do a great job as well.

Being from California this facility had a good number of machines that I use to do my workout.

Some people cant appreciate a good thing. Theres nothing wrong with in shape nor is there anything wrong with the company. For the last 3 years I have been happy with in shape. Friendly staff and friendly members. Dont believe everything that you hear. Check out in shape for yourself before listening to people that had a bad experience because they didnt get what they wanted. When you go into the in shape in Cathedral City ask for mark or Tyler theyre always willing to help.

Great has everything. Would have liked a small outside area to lounge in, but price is great also 19.95 month.

Liz was not very kind to me over the phone today. I had to repeat myself twice but somehow she heard and understood what I was saying because she had given me a direct answer. There was no apology nor a thank you for my membership because I am choosing to come back to this gym.

A wonderful run gym with great people, events and even rewards members with gifts if you just attend.

It’s an overall good gym. Pool, weights, lots of cardio machine and reasonably clean lockers. Lots of classes too. Very good value for the money. If I had one complaint, it is the locker room. Feels a bit like high school as opposed to a private gym.

It is a great gym however their pool is not as hot as they say it is.

The facility gets five stars. The staff interactions are adequate but nobody goes out of their way to offer stellar customer service. Staff, smile and acknowledge members you see every day!The other members, during busy times, are greedy AF with the weight machines. They plop their asses on the chest fly or chest press machines and stay there. One dude was there for 25 minutes after I started timing him.Ask to work in? I gave up a long time ago. This must just be the SoCal gym experience. Those same jerks are fascists about cleaning the machines after every use. Sorry, not a janitor here at all! My sweat cant give you cooties through your clothing! Handwashing is more effective than reusing the same old dirty wipes that everybody uses.

Me and someone signed up together on the same bank account, two months later the other guy doesn’t want part of it anymore so we go in to cancel his individual account. Come more than half a year later without him checking in and they have been charging me his fees, turns out the account was never canceled and they have been telling me every month that the extra charges are ‘late fees’, ‘maintainence fees’, etc... I have been trying to cancel my own account for the last two months because I, absolutely every employee that reviewed my account couldn’t see the math wasn’t adding up. My friend hasn’t checked in in over half a year, no employee noticed the discrepancy, and there are obviously no programs in place to let members nor employees know that they are not showing up for the account being paid for.An account payed for over six months without a check in, but In-Shape will gladly take the money without a second thought, and then tell you your paying late fees when you are really getting double charged. They have one of the worst financial advising systems I have ever encountered, and have successfully collected hundreds of dollars from me for someone else that hasn’t come to the club in months without so much as a notice to that individual of their attendance. It really shows the grubby priorities of in-shape. Maybe before all this happened I would have recommended it to someone but now I most certainly will never recommend in-shape to anyone, especially now that I know they will gladly take your money, despite the fact that there are multiple discrepancies that would suggest they shouldn’t be. Worst. Experience. Ever.

Fantastic Fitness Center It has it all. State of the art equipment and well trained staff and personal trainers. So many classes and everyone is helpful and friendly. After a hard work out whether cardio , weights, or classes I really enjoy the spa pool steam and sauna. Thankful that Inshape decided to open its fitness center here in cathedral city

Large club and a pretty friendly staff. The place is older and is showing wear and tear.One bosu ball in the whole gym, grips on the universal that are loose and wearing away. Cardio machines that are technologically broken. Only one out of five stair masters show heart rate.Only 3 upright bikes in the whole club. Ok gym but certainly not over the top great. It will do.

I was there for 40 minutes trying to speak to someone about membership and prices and no one was available.. i ask for schedule classes and the guy cant even print one..other gyms they want you to sign a membership they give u a tour or free pass to try outthis gym act like you dont exist and they are more then happy to see you walking out👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽 Nice gym worst stuff

Great facility. Classes, weights, cardio, pool. Lots to utilize plus trainers on hand, for a reasonable fee, to help you. My mom had a stroke and started coming here and having a trainer 2x a week which has helped tremendously with her rehabilitation. It was all cheaper then doing Kaiser PT too.I myself have been unable to exercise due to injury for 1 1/2 years. Got reassessed and now have a game plan to start again. At home, the YMCA got too expensive, $50/mo for an individual..InShape is much more affordable. Yay!10/4/18..no TP, no paper towels in womens locker. Mike not working in group class. Que pasa?
