Im not sure how this place got the term luxury attached to its name. It has some nice amenities, pools, laundry, immaculate par 3 golf course. But be ready to be packed in like sardines, no picnic tables provided at sites, 3 pages of single spaced rules and a constant smell of sewer.

We stopped here for two nights. Entrance is very beautiful with palm trees and golf course. Unfortunately they placed us in a parking lot with full hookups. Even though numerous RV sites were open throughout the park. My guess is since we were staying just two nights, we were an afterthought. Though, they charged us $70 a night.

Such a disappointing stay!!!We chose it specifically because its 55+. I love kids, and there are times when you want to vacation without any around. There are at least 7 kids at the pool right now doing what kids do, having fun and being boisterous. All of the online pictures show gorgeous areas. We booked at pull through site, and it turned out to be an asphalt parking lot with hook ups. Very unappealing! We arrived at 2:15pm on Saturday and the office was closed. Everywhere we saw the hours written said a later time. A ranger escorted us to our parking lot site. He didnt have a welcome packet with community information for us, and the password for the wifi didnt work. He did manage to find a welcome packet and brought it by an hour later. There was nothing in it about wifi or who to call to troubleshoot. The information he gave my partner regarding pickleball was off by two hours! This morning, my partner got in touch with someone at the office. They confirmed the wifi password. We tried it on multiple devices and kept getting a password error. The lady in the office said there wasnt anyone to contact until Monday, which is when we check out. When my partner expressed how disappointing this experience has been, she responded that she would be disappointed as well. And that was it! She made no attempt to turn the situation around and make the stay better in any way.So, weve paid high end 55+ resort rates to listen to kids and park in a parking lot. NOT worth the money!!!EDIT - the resort has left a reply to this review with their number if we want to chat further. A bit disingenuous. My partner called the office while we were there and left a message regarding our dissatisfaction and asked to be called back to discuss the issues. The call was never returned.

I wish Id understood this before we arrived: wifi is not available at your site, only inside the resort buildings (which is especially unfortunate during COVID when sitting inside a building is unwise). For longer term stays, you can sign up for internet service from DISH, who come and install a modem. Obviously, not something we can do for a short stay. The resort itself is HUGE and awash with activities. You can tell the long-term community is great. But I think there are better options for RVers passing through. Well move on after our 2-night stay.

We stayed at this resort for 2+ months, from mid-Nov thru Mid-January, in our 35 motorhome. The park is impressive with 2000+ sites which seem to be about 50/50 RV sites and homes. This review is primarily from the RV perspective.Pros:- Fabulous infrastructure including: 4 beautiful pools with hot tubs, onsite bistro next to the main pool, 36 new pickleball courts, impeccable lawn bowling green, shuffleboard area, horseshoe area, large baseball field, tons of facilities to support tons of clubs (woodwork shop, stained glass shop, sewing room, etc.)- The woodwork shop is worthy of its own bullet in this review. Its better equipped than most high school wood shops!- Super-large and level RV sites (these are actually future home sites) with 100% gravel coverage and a concrete pad.- Beautiful greenbelt walkway for walking dogs (see below for more).- Easy access to Phoenix (45 minutes) and Tucson (70 minutes).- At about a mile from I-10, you dont notice any traffic noise.Cons:- No wifi included with our stay. We could have purchased wifi service from Dish, but that would have also required us buying a modem, which we didnt feel was worth it for only a 2-mo. stay.- Verizon cell signal averaged about 2 bars most of the time. This was important, as we needed to run hotspots.- Over our 2-month stay, we believe we saw a decline in quality. For example, the Bistro dropped items off their menu. The greenbelt was beautiful when we arrived (Nov), but was filled with patches of dead grass by the time we left (Jan). I assume this is tied to COVID impact on the business.- When I took trash to the dumpsters near the baseball field, all four dumpsters were overflowing. This was on a Saturday morning, so it probably got worse before the service emptied them the next week.- Rangers lead you to your site, but dont provide any help backing in.- Not a lot of tourist attractions in the area.Overall we were happy here, and will probably return in the future.

What a wonderful resort.Amenities and activities valor.4 pools, world class volleyball courts (36?) that can be lit up for evening play. World class softball field with lights used by many other RV resort teams.About 1/2 of the sites have park homes on them with more being built. The RV sites are very long, wide and spacious with convenient full hookups.Beautiful tennis courts, lawn bowling field, shuffleboard and numerous very nice facilities such as stained glass creations, jewelry making, quilting and numerous other activities. They have a great functioning mailroom and individual p.o. boxes. Two restaurants that hopefully will open soon with Civic rules. My only negative comment is that due to Covid restrictions, most of the large amount of Canadian winter residents are not here. Several of the activities are apparently run by the Canadians and in some cases we are told that they have important keys to storage boxes where activity supplies or equipment are kept, or they have important historical files for that activity. It appears that there has been too much reliance on the Canadian winter residents to run the activities, so now, other winter residents are scrambling to pick up the ball in order to get several activities going. In the future, I highly recommend that every activity has non-Canadians on their committees and spare keys to prevent this from happening in the future. Also, it might be a good idea to have the resort activities office keep activities files or at least a copy and extra activity keys, to prevent the only activity files and keys be in the possession of a winter resident who may or may not, for various reasons, visit in a given winter.Phil

This is an amazing facility. It is beautifully landscaped and impeccably maintained. It has activities on top of activities. Pickle ball, tennis, golf, stained glass, pottery, silversmithing, softball just to name a few. Roomy sites and beautiful park models and cottage homes. We arrived in a coach and within weeks bought a permanent home. If you want a very active and very happy retired, this is the place for you. It’s full of wonderful people and you will never be bored! Bring cash because it’s not the cheapest place in the valley, but definitely the best value!

Palm Creek has lots of recreational facilities and opportunities to meet people. There is an active and competitive pickle ball group, along with golf, and crafts such as pottery and woodworking. There are lots for RVs as well as small houses for rent. The resort is not very active during the summer, and most of the activities are closed. The community is great at Palm Creek. The resort is about 40 minutes from Tucson and 30 minutes from Phoenix depending on traffic.

Most of the activities start at the same time, 8am we are retired so why get up and going so early? They give away tickets for Monday meeting, told tickets are booked for 2 week so dont take a donut or cup of coffee! Really! Why not buy more and let more people come? Next, assigned seating for dance, poor arrangements of tables and no ice water for drinking.Loads of activities and great people, just need to operate the park better, such as a weekly list of activities going on.

This was the very first time that I had ever visited Palm Creek Golf & RV Resort and I must say that I am very pleasantly surprised. I was so amazed at how beautiful and well maintained it was as I was driving in. Its appearance is so professional. The Guest Relations area is very high-end looking. I felt welcomed from the second that I walked into the door. Every single employee made eye contact and smiled. I am very interested in taking advantage of their beautiful billiards room. Many tables and great decor.

Not safe for Black people... It is unfortunate how someone can so quickly go out of their way to make another feel unwelcome. I had a little time to kill in the area and wanted to explore residential Casa Grande. I saw a gazebo and some home tops and followed the lights to a main entrance with two, two-laned, palm tree-lined streets. The palm trunks were wrapped in lavender-colored light strips. A sign at the community entrance read, “models open.” I desired to drive by the models and, in general, take in the sights/offerings. However, the woman at the gate was confrontational given my presence. She flagged me to stop (even though there was a stop sign, and I was stopped), and from there, constantly rebuffed my interest in seeing the property. Her choice of words were not kind, not welcoming, and it was clear that she did not want me there. She wanted me to turn around immediately. I ended up driving down the thoroughfare and turning around at the next stop. I am 10 years shy of 55 but would not recommend this property to my family or friends (perhaps to the delight of the owners). Another review on here says that the property is “safe,” and judging by the attendant’s behavior, one can easily assume what that means.

You pay the max amount to stay here because of all the amenities but what you get along with the other several thousands that are staying here is maxed out usage of all of them. And the corp thinks its a good idea to build another 300 sites to be completed by this summer. Thats another 600 people to use up spaces in everything here. Even Coffee and Donuts are limited to those that get there first for a limited number of tickets. So we wont be back. Its no fun to try and use the facilities when its elbow to elbow.

We are full time RVers and have travelled most of the states. We always look out for GREAT parks we may want to stay at for an extended time in the future. This resort is bar none the best we have stayed in, especially for the money. We have stayed in resorts with beautiful grassy sites and just as nice amenities as this one, however they do not have as many activities, shows, and dances and cost an arm and a leg more. We highly recommend this park to anyone that wants an active lifestyle. The resort has more park models and villa sites than RV sites but plenty of room for about 1000 RVs. Make sure you reserve well ahead of time if staying Jan thru Feb.

Lots to do, well maintained and organized. No onsite store, no bar. All evening events start early and finish early, you wont have any problem being in bed by nine. Everything you want to get involved with has a fee, thats if you can even get in, everything fills up quick. If you know what you want to get involved in, call the activities centre well in advance to purchase tickets or sign up. Its a beautiful resort, and if youre an active individual youll love it here. The sites a very spacious and all gravel with a cement pads, even a rookie wont have any trouble backing their rig in wither its a 5th wheel or motorcoach. Youll follow a park ranger to your site so you wont get lost, and theyre very helpful getting you backed in. Excellent medical facility across the street. Lots of restaurants, grocery stores all within a short drive. Tucson and Phoenix are both within an hour drive.
