Firstly I apologize for the very long delay in posting anything, 2020 was not a good year and its taken until now to get to a good place.Now then, I wanted to say that our experience was terrific. The staff was very friendly and everyone really loved being there for the animals. Ive read some people didnt have a great experience after having the animal they adopted pass away but please dont let that stop you from supporting this station. They need help and they do everything they can to care for them. I know its hard to overlook the pain you feel but its not the pets fault nor the persons, and at the end please take away that you gave an animal a moment of true happiness, even if it was just but a moment. These animals dont have a voice and rely on us to care for them and this station does its best and when we rescued Vinnie(aka VIGO, sorry ladies he ignored Vigo) it filled a huge hole in our lives after we lost our baby blue heeler.So please just be mindful of the animals when you review these stations. If they were truly mistreating or not caring for them that would be one thing but not here.Thank you every at Pinal County Animal, Vinnie loves his new yard and his big sister.
I went to the shelter this time for their shot clinic. Their process is to line up in your cars and remote n it like a drive thru. They ran it effectively but it took an hour and a half to make it to the front of the line and I got there right when they opened at 7am. The people were great. I do not have any ideas to improve the process time.
Very nice people, clean facility. Allowed me to foster to adopt so i can see how she does for a week or so. Seemed interested in finding a good fit for me.

They were quite helpful when I lost my kitty Vicky in Arizona I wish they were more help to me in finding her but theyre establishment was quite professional I highly recommend going out and adopting a kitty from that location
We had a little trouble finding this place. Has a rough dirt road to get down, but is safe.Very SWEET and KIND STAFF; Managing this NO KILL Shelter in Pinal County. Went to get a dog, they where very friendly and helpful. We looked at about 4 dogs and finally picked DeWhite a 2 year old . Highly recommend if youre looking for a pet go adopt.

Very judgemental people. We found a sickly cat, turned it in and they looked at us like criminals. Arent they there to receive found animals. We did what was right and still ended being treated like the bad guys. We found this cat and hoped you guys would be its savior. You cant make people feel bad for doing whats right, unless its an inconvenience to you.
They keep it clean and take good care of the dogs .we did adopt a dog there few years ago,but nobody knew she had cancer til she passed away.she was so thankful and we was too to get the time we shared together to the end.
We go here for rabies shots and we make donations. Truly dedicated staff and volunteers. Shelter pets are the best pets!
I attended the Pinal County Animal Control vaccination clinic on Friday, June 11th and was very pleased with how organized they were... Im glad they did it as a drive thru line which helped all the pet owners and their furbabies stay cool in the vehicles during the heat! ❣🐾... The staff even offered cold water bottles for the furbabies and their owners... Great job❣🐾😊
They took such good care of my baby in the heat saved her life 😍 dont know if she would still be here if it was not for there quick response they are so nice she didnt want to go home they gave here a bed and she and I thankyou.

Needs to work more with their dogs and stay to one type of dog food to keep the dogs from having diarrhea. But other then that, the dogs are treated well there as well as the cats.
Took a rescued kitten there. They were wonderful!
My furry best friend was a Lab mix and shy of being 17 yrs. old. when her body decided to start shutting down. I called Pinal County Animal Control to make an appointment to put her down gently. They allow you to stay with your loved friend until they are sedated and out. Some other agencies just tell you to hand your pet over ... Pinal is compassionate. My wife and I went there 4 days ago and adopted a wonderful dog. They were very nice and very helpful thru the whole process. Great people,. Great place to adopt and animal.
The staff was very knowledgeable about the dogs in the pound. We were left alone to look at the dogs at our leisure and to visit with the dog fr more than a few brief seconds. The lady that showed us Titan let all 6 of my kids meet him first one at a time then as a full group of 8. They also let us take him home for a few days to make sure he would fit in with the family. And they also fixed him and when he got a subdermal hematoma they gave me a band new unused crate to put him in till he heals..staff was nice to.
We visited the shelter on a Clear the shelter day and found the most adorable 10 month old kitten. She quickly wormed her way into our hearts, and into the heart of our 2 1/2 year old cat. They play all day!
In person staff is excellent. The phone center is not worth the trouble just go to the center

Staff is wonderful! I adopted a German Shepherd Dog that had been there for 4 months! 4 months?? Why? He’s the best! His name is Fats, and he has been a blessing to us. The staff were very communicative with me during his fostering and during his adoption process. Please adopt from them!! They waived Fats’ fee! Otherwise, I saw some fees were only $50. These dogs need homes. They will love you even more if you rescue them. It breaks my heart I’m not a millionaire and can’t take all the 60 they had a month ago when I was there. Thank you to all the staff for giving me the best dog anyone could ever have!! Even if some people are scared of him 😂
They were very conscientious and courteous during this time of the pandemic. So many adorable dogs. I want to adopt them all, but my husband wont let me. Well be back soon for another though! I love this place and I love dogs!!
If you have the time show up early ( 7:30 am ) and volunteer to walk the dogs. They center has over 60 dogs and they try to walk each of them every day. The dogs really appreciate the time outside and the personal attention.

I truly commend this place for their hardworking dedicated staff. They not only stand out in the heat giving discount vaccines for animals ( $40 all shots) during a pandemic, while us customers got to wait in line in our cars. They even handed out free bottles of water with little dishes for pets to stay hydrated. Did I mention I once had to bring my beloved cat here to be put to sleep that was very old, and no longer had quality of life due to health problems. They were also the cheaper than all the vets. 2 weeks later, I received a sympathy card in the mail from them with all the staff signatures, and my cats paw prints. They even microchipped my dog this month for free. I just cant say enough good things about this place, its staff, and how lucky we are to have them in our community!!!!!! I highly recommend them.
Long way out for us, but we went by the info that indicated on the rabies form that we needed to go to their location. They were ready and there were car lines, but they were making sure everyone has water and they had paper bowls that needed one, and filled out paperwork while you were waiting
I was wanting to adopt a Husky. Unfortunately she was adopted before I arrived! Check again before you go. I was impressed that they contacted me when she was returned! I had found another wonderful husky. But I was able to learn she was adopted. I was impressed how helpful and caring the staff was! Thus 5 stars.

We went there for a microchip and license for our dog. They were friendly, courteous, kind, & respectful. There was a little bit of a wait but it was nice to go through a drive-thru without an appointment. They offered us and our doggie some water while we waited which was very nice. The prices are affordable & the people are great, you should definitely go here.
Absolutely appreciate all they do! Went to the vaccination clinic and couldnt believe how generous they were as I witnessed 3 people that couldnt afford some of the shots and they gave them anyway! Thank you Pinal Animal Control!

My Rottie was picked up around 3pm on a Friday, I was notified via Smart Tag (chipped). Went in Saturday am and was treated with courtesy and respect. The staff loves dogs like I do.
Very friendly place...very helpful staff. There’s lots of pets looking for new homes. Little dogs and big dogs.. be prepared for lots of loud , loud barking. This shelter was very clean for its fairly large size. They have a cute little area to meet your prospective new pet. This place has lots of parking too. I really enjoyed my visit !

I called this place the kitty connection this is where we got our first kitten who is almost now a year old and we just now adopted a 6 year old and theyre coming around to each other trying to make the world go round and loving even animals does the same thing! Keep your cats spayed and neutered and loved💯
Friendly, loving staff toward the animals, great customer service.Someone dropped off an unwanted girl, turned out no one claimed her after a 3 day hold. We decided that since she found us, we would love and give her a loving home! She has been a wonderful pet!!Please adopt, care for, love a pet. There are so many who need a home. You get so much love and loyalty in return!!

I adopted a Siamese cat this cat Im hear third adopted parent she is a gentle lovable cat and a big part of my life today and Im glad I adopted from the shelter all of the workers at the shelter were very kind and pleasant and very helpful.my cat name is D.C. and she shows her love towards me everyday and she is one of my best friends

Good layout. Like that the animals have grassy area rather than cement to romp. Difficult to figure dogs personality because they are barking at you protecting their space. So, a lot of barking. I didnt take the opportunity to visit and get more person information, but was impressed with the process.

Grey, an abandoned cat. had leukemia. gave him love and family for 8 months. But now his quality of life is not good. prices went up. But it was nicer than a Bullet to the head and visiting him in the yard. They are good people, doing an awful but nessasary job. When someone says, its just a cat, or its just a dog, I reply, and your JUST a human.
Not one of the best places to get a dog but not the worst they dont charge a lot of money. And have very few puppies if any at all.
Wish I could have found the type of dog I wanted. Not enough small dogs and I really feel for all those other dogs; so many that need homes. Looking for a medium size to larger. Look no further than the Pinal County Animal Shelter.
Renewed Trixys license and came home with a little one year old doggie. Loving workers and clean facilities.

The staff is friendly courteous and try to help. But there seems to be some dysfunction in the enforcement part of it. Had a court date for a dog attack against another person and their animals went to court girl in well over an hour to get there and they had changed the court date but didnt tell me.Was going to replace the dog what is deceased on Saturday so I called to see if they had a special going or if they were even open. I got a recording saying if it was an emergency call 911 not all services are available blah blah blah. I called four times that day got the same recording come to find out they had a special there were no fees and I could have got a dog. I learned this after calling on Monday when they reinstated the fees. I could have given a dog a very good home on Saturday. And Im not about to pay fees to something that dysfunctions like this.
We adopted the beloved Cowboy; now known as Dodger on free adoption day! Yes its totally free. Hes great; the description given was spot on. Hes a big giant floppy goofball!
We showed up 5 minutes before they closed they still let us look at the dogs, we had went to look at a special dog we had seen on internet they stayed late to do all the paperwork everyone loves the animals they take care of. The girl that was fostering her was very caring. We have a great dog we are getting know thanks to everyone. Dan
