This was a big project to take on, but with the help of the guys at Encore everything turned out great! I would highly recommend their product.

After much research and watching the very detailed videos Jeff did on the Cool! coatings, the product was just as described. My product arrived the next day after ordering. Customer service was very helpful with any questions. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to resurface their nasty pool deck. A little scary process upfront, but once you follow the step by step instructions, it worked great and looks great! Thanks for a great product and personal service.

This lays out nicely and looks great! My husband and I did it ourselves without any trouble. We did rent a grinder to get the old glue from an old rug off and some old knockdown texture as it will not cover that smoothly and we didnt want to re-texture it. The videos are incredibly helpful and are ultimately what made the difference in our choosing this product. That and the lifetime warranty for residential use. They werent great about answering my emails (as in they didnt respond at all) but were very prompt with responding to my voice mail questions with a return call and clear explanations. I would definitely recommend this company and this product.

Contacted them about ordering some product after reviewing their web site. The response was quick and they spent the time to answer my questions and then I placed the order. Delivery was quick and correct. What more can you ask for, they did everything right! Product will be installed as soon as weather permits and photos will be provided to them as I promised. If the product is as good as the service I have made the right choice.

It has been close to 10 years ago we’ve used Cool Deck, probably one of the first customers and have been very pleased how long this has held up. We also love how the concrete is much cooler now. Our dogs can run around the pool all day long and we don’t have to worry about their paws getting blistered. We definitely would recommend Cool Deck, you won’t be disappointed.

This is the second pool that we have done with this coating. We loved the first one so much that we had to use it again. Our first pool still looked great after 4 years.I HIGHLY recommend this product to everyone I talk to. You don’t even have to have a pool. I will never have concrete without it!!

Excellent product, covers well performs as advertised. The videos are extremely helpful. I covered about 1200 square feet. Calculations about how much product to use was correct. I finished my second coat and my cool deck looks great. The best part is by doing the work myself, I saved about $2500 dollars. Absolutely worth the money, follow the directions and your hard work will look great.

My pool deck is about 20 years old and really needed some TLC. It was almost impossible to rinse dirt or debris off the surface. I have a lot of deck space and couldn’t afford having the re-coating done professionally. The before and after is nothing short of amazing. The videos are very helpful, I suggest watching them before application. My biggest problem was scheduling my helpers and dealing with the rain! Last but not least, I have to mention the customer service. I had ordered some product on Amazon and the distributor shipped the wrong item. I called Encore and Peggy answered, she was so helpful and supportive. I called her several times during the planning stage, I had underestimated my square footage. THANK YOU PEGGY. Cool Deck is an awesome product. Just a note for you DIY first time users. Dont be cheap and try to save $$$ by putting this product on thin. I was putting a second coat of cool on my pool deck . I had to repair some concrete cracks and the second coat became streaked looking for some reason. Not sure what caused the problem but I talked with Ryan in customer service and he and a Jeff called me the next day and made everything right with me. Great company to work what th and I love the cool costing. I recommend Encore to anyone.

Great looking product...two weeks, so far so good. Easy enough to DIY, just make sure you prep well and try to keep the temp cool. Keeping the products cool REALLY helps.

First time using this product. Easy to mix and use. I’m impressed with how well it filled in cracks in all the damaged wood. Seems like it really adhered well, has a bit of texture to the finish which is nice people don’t slip

I began using Encore Coatings on my deck back in 2009. The treated lumber on my deck had been maintained the best ways possible, But despite annual efforts - after so many years, the sun and weather eventually opened up the grain, caused splintering, and the deck’s aesthetics began showing its age - beyond the help of stains or paint alone.Since there was no rotten wood in the entire structure, it seemed a shame to consider replacement. And with the huge expense required to replace it, (with even treated wood - let alone composites) I searched hard for a good alternative. This searching is what began my relationship with Mr. Jeff Moreau, who owns Encore Coatings.My research and eventual selection of the coating that he developed prooved a huge benefit. That same deck still stands without any rot even today.This year (2021) I decided to recoat it again, changing color to a bit brighter hue, to provide some “pop” against our house exterior color.Surface prep is always the most critical phase of the job - and can be the most labor intensive as well. But the payoff was gorgeous - after the work was done.I used 4 kits to do my entire deck, including 2 coats to every vertical and horizontal surface. The heavy duty lattice, (both sides) the railings, stairs, and support posts - are all beautifully coated with Encore’s color-rich anti-slip coating. I used Ben Moore Aura exterior acrylic latex paint in semi gloss - as my pigment.During the work, many of our neighbors have even stopped over to compliment the new appearance, saying how incredible the deck looks. Especially exceeding 30 years old. I tell them - just like you already know if you are reading this - the expense of replacing a large deck (with materials pricing the way it is now) would be a major financial hardship to most anyone right now. But I had to do something - because I like my home to look fresh and sharp.This coating must be applied over a properly prepared surface. But if obeying that process, it will fill all cracks and lock down any splinters in the wood. It covers all nail heads, wood knots, and blemishes. It makes each board smooth and solid looking once again, and adds a fine grained non- slip surface, to boot!The wood is then sealed, hard, and weather resilient for many years to come. If damage occurs- or time has its way to eventually cause degradation with aging- you can recoat it by doing a “touchup”, (new application via mixing up a new batch) - reapplying it as you would do with a paint on a surface under similar circumstances.Personally, I hate to paint. So when I was faced with trusting a “high tech coating” to save my deck, it had to be one that would outlast any and all other paints or “super stains” advertising to do the same job.THIS IS THAT COATING.After over TEN years….ENCORE!

This review is strictly about the ordering process as we have not yet had a chance to apply the product. We ordered a total of eight kits (six plus the two free kits per the sale, which was a big savings!). We received notification the next day that the order had been processed and was shipping - very fast service! UPS had their issues with the delivery - it shipped in 12 boxes and we received 10 one day, one the next, and one the third day. But that’s not Encore’s fault. Very pleased with the ordering process and the speed with which they fulfilled the order. Excited to try the product and will review that when complete

After applying two kits to our pool concrete the product appears to be perfect. I estimate with no temp gun that the temperature drop is at least 20 degrees F. Ordered four more kits to complete our pool application. I believe this product will provide years of service. As the videos say, clean, clean, clean.

We have an eight year old deck that had never been sealed after the initial pool install. Look wise, my pool deck was a complete mess. I stumbled upon the Encore product at my local paint store and began researching the product. The first thing I noticed upon reviewing Encore’s web site was how technical they were in their research and in educating the viewer on pool deck care.Well, after reviewing their tutorial videos and researching competitors, I bought the Encore product and delivery was quick. My sales rep, Ryan, was spot on in his assistance and advice on applying the Encore product. The three step process was super easy and the results, spectacular. Ryan was only one call away ALWAYS. And he knows his product. Just follow Encore’s recommendations every step of the way and enjoy the results. My deck now looks better then when it was new. Way to go Encore. The product arrived ahead of when expected and definitely cools the decking significantly in the 100+degree heat we are in around here.

The encore coatings pool resurfacing products were fantastic. They totally refreshed the look of my pool. The Triple Crown cleaner did a great job of preparing our surface for recoating. The COOL pool deck coating create a fantastic new surface for our pool deck and even fill small cracks in the surface. And the SealBack sealer was the perfect finishing touch.I have three tips for using these products. One, watch all the videos on the website before you use the products. They are invaluable for learning technique, choosing paint colors and products, etc. Two, apply the pool coating thickly. Jeff, the owner, says in one of the videos, even though you are using rollers and brushes you are not painting. You are applying a whole new surface to your pool deck. Be liberal with the product. Finally, the second coat of the COOL product will go much farther than the first coat. I used 4 buckets for the first coat and less than 3 for the second coat. You will love these products!

It was our first experience with the company and its products. We had a few questions, so we called the business number for advice. Jeff was very knowledgeable and friendly. He was genuinely concerned with helping us until our project was finished to everyone’s satisfaction. Wish there were more people and companies like this one.

About four years ago, I used Encores Cool pool deck coating to redo my pool surface. It has been a fantastic product. It stays cool and the color has maintained over the years. I just used their Miracle Mist cleaner on my pool deck to remove the mold and mildew thats grown on it over the fall and Winter - WOW!! I am so impressed with MiracleMist! Worked miracles on my boat seats! We were told that I would likely have to replace our boat seats this year but we decided to try MiracleMist after seeing a few videos. Seats look like new! Works around the house, too. Everyone needs a bottle!

We used Miraclemist on our outdoor structures and the results were immediate and amazing! We purchased it to clean our patio furniture and then started using it on the wood deck, and our window screens. It was effortless! We then purchased a 1-gal size online and sprayed it onto the north side of the house where mold was growing. In seconds it was gone. Cant say enough about this product. Just used MiracleMist on my boat and its amazing. I literallymisted it on the molded seats and sat back. Within seconds, the dark mold started disapearing. Its actually somewhat comical to watch! I have been using Marine 31 for years and it not even in the same league as this product. Im recommending it to everyone - spoke to Encore and they make the product in 1-gal and 5-gal sizes, too. The gallon size is the way to go next time! Thanks for an awesome product!!!
