We just moved to the area from Florida 3 weeks ago and had some issues arise with my dog, Gigi. We had to find a vet office quickly and found this place. I am so happy we did. They are great! From the vet techs to the doctors. Especially Dr. C. white and Dr. A Tripp. Everyone is so caring and it’s genuine. I always feel like my baby is in good hands when I leave her in their care. Thank you to everyone at Bartow animal hospital!!!!!

I am sorry if my crying was a bit loud, just because she was my emotional support for ptsd. Thank you guys for making the bad day a little better.and helping this veteran here show his raw emotions.

I took both of my golden doodles into the groomer to get groomed. Dropped them off at 8:30 in the morning and picked them up at 5:45.. when I picked them up one of my babies ears were dripping with blood and wouldn’t let me touch his ears. When I got home I tried to clean them up and there were chucks taken out of both ears in the exact same spots (one much bigger than the other.) When my boyfriend and I were finally able to get a picture of his ears we sent them an email with the pictures and they said it couldn’t be from trimmers or shears but it looked like he got stuck on a fence or bit by a dog.. however, his ears were like that the moment I picked them up (in the exact same spot on both ears). They Weren’t very worried about it and almost sounded like they were trying to turn it around and say it happened else where. I don’t recommend having your babies groomed here.

I essentially drive an hour to come here just to see Dr.Potts for my ferrets. He’s very kind and knowledgeable, and so much more affordable than other exotic vets I’ve seen that have given me little to no answers but a huge bill. They always answer their phones and everyone has been helpful and nice to be around. I don’t review much but wanted to give a nice shoutout

The office staff is rude and will not accept any sort of responsibility for mistakes made. They will blame everyone else, including you. I was told an office manager and a kennel manager would contact me to discuss an issue that has happened the last two times my dogs have been boarded and no one has called me back. Bad business. The vets should be concerned about the staff running their office. We wont be back.

We came in with our 16yo family dog who had come to the end of her life. Our family was told we could all come in the room with her and it was a very difficult time for us as she had been in our life since she was 2 months. Dr. Potts was VERY inconsiderate with the situation. He was rude and told us there were too many people for him to be there. I understand this is a strange time but he can show some compassion. There was a better way of handling the situation. We were told all of us were ok to go in and we never saw anywhere or were told that masks were required. If he was uncomfortable, he could have gotten someone else, asked us to wear a mask, or put on a mask himself. It made us uncomfortable the whole time with him and ruined our experience. We didn’t want to leave our pet behind because we didn’t know how she would be treated after meeting with him. Pets are family and as a vet he should get that. Please also note that our pet tech was very kind and understanding, so thank you for having great techs.

This place is VERY BUSY! That being said, everyone I have ever delt with here has been very kind and professional. They care about your 4 legged family members as if they were their own. I have a 65lb. Blue Pitt and she can be a handful. She always receives top notch care here. I recommend their boarding as well. Our last long weekend vacation she had a 3 day sleepover and the price was very affordable and they gave her a free, better bath than the groomers down the road do for $40.

Historically I have always had a good experience here. This past visit, not so much. When I called to make an appointment for my animals, I said that I needed to bring them both in for their yearly exams. The person on the phone said okay, and we scheduled the date and time. I dropped them both off and within minutes they were ready...upon picking them up, I asked if my (4 pound) cat’s nails had been trimmed and I was told that he had been “uncooperative” when having his shots done. I’m disappointed that a vets office couldn’t figure out how to just get it done. Also, my dog’s yearly exam isn’t due until 5/16 and his yearly visit wasn’t done. I would’ve appreciated if the person scheduling had told me that on the phone. It’s hard for my husband and I to arrange a time to get the animals to the vets so I’m more than unhappy that we will now have to make another appointment. Also, I had originally used the online appointment option and was never contacted. I also typed a letter explaining my unhappiness with this appointment and I never got a response after faxing it with attention to the office manager. As clients for many years, I am very disappointed.

My mother was in town to care for her elderly parents and brought her dog with her. Her dog ended up having an emergency and this place was AWESOME! They were so sweet, caring, and professional. My mom made the mistake at stopping at the first vet location she saw and they told her they were busy but if she gave them a $600-$1000 deposit theyd squeeze her in. Thankfully she knew better then to trust anyone like that and quickly found Bartow! They treated her right away and gave her what would have been life saving treatment where as the other would have basically have let her dog die in her arms. I speak from experience being that I am in the animal industry (located in FL) for 21 yrs, these people get it! They showed compassion and decisive quick medical treatment for her baby. While sadly her dog was not savable there is a huge difference in the way treated her and her baby vs that other place. Yes, I will be writing a review on them as well just respectfully not naming them here because the focus should be on the stellar care Bartow gave. Thank you all involved from reception, techs, and vets.

The prices can’t be beat and neither can the animal care. The overall feel of Bartow Animal Hospital reminds me of the rural town, down home vet from where I’m from in South Georgia. The only difference seems to be that Dr. Potts is amazing with ferrets. I will also be taking my cats and dog here if they need care.

Im sorry to say but do not expect this vet to ever give you a call back. We get our meds through them and they always say well call you when its ready we never receive any calls. Our youngest dog just went through surgery and the vet tech said Make sure to be right next to you phone because the vet will call after surgery She was on the table at 5:30 pm and we had no clue if she was even alive or at least okay until 9:00 am the next morning. Never called after surgery. They also gave us zero aftercare instructions after her surgery and her staple had been ripped out, our dog was put on a minimal pain medication. We had a great experience with the emergency vet in Rome who stitched her up nice and tight, gave is a sedative/pain medication so my dog can calm down enough to heal. Before any of this, a couple years back when my dog got parvo i discussed with the vet IN PERSON that i only had money to treat my dog for 3 nights. I showed up as soon as they opened after the 3rd night and they treated her for the fourth day and i refused to pay as this was already discussed. Their reasoning was they treat all the animals before they even open. Very very poor on their end on several different occasions. We are no longer going to associate with this vet.

The doctors are great, we’ve used them for many years but I won’t be back due to the office situation and groomer. I was trying to give it time because of Covid but they leave you in the parking lot for sometimes an hour before they even get your dog and again when you pick up. You have to leave them all day for shots or groom, put you on hold for long periods of time every single time you have to call, messed up my two dogs appointments and didn’t even apologize . Very rude, didn’t even try to fix it. Groomer doesn’t do what you ask anyway, or either the office doesn’t tell her what you say, they DO NOT call when grooming is done and they end up sitting there all day and shake the whole way home. Waited almost an hour and ended up leaving with my dogs and nothing done today. Im sorry but I don’t have time for this nonsense.

*** August 2020 *** I have used Bartow animal hospital (Dr. Tripp/Dr. Montgomery) for over 20 years. These vets are so great, they love animals and care about them. ***BUT the office girl I spoke with today had me in tears. Angry tears! I previously called their office several times over the past 2 weeks about my rescue dog having a bad rash and itching. I tried to get an appointment for her ASAP and they were booked up. I waited...and waited...and finally this morning I had an appointment to drop her off on my way to work and arranged for someone else to pick her up. When I arrived, I called to let them know I was there. (I will condense our conversation for this review...) I was told they couldnt allow my dog to enter their hospital because I had her shots at Tractor Supply and didnt have the vets signature on the paperwork. I did have the metal rabbies tag attached to the Tractor Supply paper receipt which wasnt good enough. She said, You know only vets are allowed to administer rabbies shots, right? Really? He was a vet, not a sales clerk! And, NO ONE MENTIONED THIS TO ME on the several previous times I called their office telling them how bad the rash was and asking for an appointment!! I asked her, no I practically begged her, to please allow the vet to see her, and asked if he (the vet) could come out to my car since my dog (and me) werent allowed in (Covid19 restrictions). She said no because I didnt have that kind of an appointment. I asked to speak to a vet, she said they were all busy. She was rude and uncompassionate, like I was bothering her and taking up her time. I WILL NEVER TAKE ANOTHER DOG to this hospital. Ive already found another vet who will see my dog this week INSIDE THEIR OFFICE. Its definitely not like it used to be here, a can only conclude the owners DO NOT CARE anymore. Its a money thing for them. 💰😢

I had an appointment for November 17th at 10 am to have my dogs annual checkup and a shot for my cat. I called at 9:57 am and was put on hold for about 10 minutes, which is typical for this place as they can get busy. This is not the issue that I found with this particular visit. I finally was checked in and proceeded to wait until 10:34 am. During this period of time there were other patients that checked in after me and their animals were brought in before mine. I say this because we are not allowed in the building currently. They have their patients check in at particular parking spots and wait for a veterinary assistant to bring in the animals, all because of the pandemic of course. No problem there either, I completely understand. However, after waiting 20 to 25 minutes after checking in I decided to text. I received a text back at 10:41 am apologizing for the delay and that my animals would be seen shortly. I text them back and let them know that I had left since my appointment was at 10 and I had been waiting for over forty minutes. I received a call a few minutes later apologizing and asking if we could come back or reschedule. I do appreciate the follow-up, but I was informed that my check in was missed. Im not sure how the system works that the company uses for check in, but it looks like there are some flaws. It could possibly be excusable the first time if something similar had not happened before. My wife had some issues in the past because a hold time prevented her from being seen. I understand that businesses can become particularly busy on certain days and at certain times, but if it affects the happiness of the customers then it needs to be reevaluated. Systems need to change, or the amount of recurring patients should be limited. These are only examples of some ways to help keep the customer happy during the busiest times. I have been with this veterinarian for years. I am sad to say that my wife and I will be searching for a new office. The veterinarians here are great, but the systems leave something to be desired.

Last year I had to part ways with my best friend. Not only they took him to the back to where we couldn’t see what they were doing. My ex and I patiently waited since COVID was just starting at the time and even tho we had masks they made us wait outside. Just to be brought inside maybe 25mins later and told that he had barely no time left that he’s in a lot of pain. He was alive when I brought him in; he had life now all of a sudden what ever they did to my boy took his last will to live right out of him! Doctor said he was having seizures.. maybe if you didn’t separate the only people that unconditionally loved him and surrounded him by doctors HE doesn’t know then maybe he wouldn’t have gave up! This place doesn’t deserve the title of a hospital cause they had absolutely no idea how to handle nor treat him. They’d rather put him down then waste they’re time and resources or they thought we had little to no money! Now a year later I spoke to his real vet and they told me because of the condition he was in they should had me or my exe present with my dog at ALL times so he knew he wasn’t alone and left. Dogs have feelings and can infact induce seizures plus the meds they had him on. The ONLY reason I brought him to this facility was because COVID had my vet shut down at the time. What they saw was a hurt dog that they decided to take in there hands to not only make worse but to convince us to put him down “the best thing for him”. When in reality all they saw a problem they couldn’t and didn’t want to handle. I hate this place and everyone that worked there that day and if you really care for your pet take them to another location cause all these people want is to degrade you, take your money but not actually care or treat pets. I’ve already got into an argument with one receptionist last year for trying to charge me twice on my other dog which was the reason why I switched vets to begin with. If I didn’t hold onto the receipt for the first purchase which happened 15mins before I went to pay for her medicine they wouldn’t have gave me my dog until I paid again. I showed that dumb blonde my receipt told her I just paid this 15mins AGO and she was like Oops honest mistake.. um NO it wasn’t! Just trying to pocket money and one day I hope this all catches up to there scheming selfs.

Ive been bringing my cat here for a while, and Ive never had issues for routine work. Brought her in yesterday for her annual appointment and brought up my concern about her frequent urination the past week or so. I made it clear this was very unusual for her. Thirty minutes later she was back with me and I was told they werent concerned unless she started drinking excessive amounts of water, and they tried to get a urine sample but they couldnt so they just stopped trying. Trusting them I brought her home but I was unsettled as she continued to frequently use the bathroom. Called first thing this morning and explained that something just wasnt right and I really wish they would try again to get a urine sample or do blood work, anything they could do to figure out what was going on. They were booked and couldnt see her until tomorrow. I called around and found someone who would see her today. They, unlike this facility, were also concerned about her symptoms. They did everything I expected would have been done at her appointment the day prior. They did labs, made sure they got urine, and did an xray. Turns out she has a very large bladder stone that if not resolved by medication will require surgery. So thankful that I found another office that did not just write my baby off and went the extra mile to make sure there was nothing wrong. This all could and should have been addressed at her appointment when I brought it up. I will not be returning to this facility.

Even though they were ready to close, the Vet Tech, immediately came and got Otis. It was only minutes later Dr White was calling me calming my fears. Otis did Not seem to have a broken jaw or missing teeth. He was actually woofing down any treat they gave him. Dr White assured me No North Georgia horse would likely ever disfigure a big head like Otis. RX of pain pills, Otis safely at home, very sore. 5 stars for BARTOW Animal Clinic. I took my dog here a couple of times. The last time I took him for his shots and wanted them to check his skin for a continuous rash. I told them on the phone everything that I wanted. I picked him up and his ear was irritated. He didnt have any issues with his ear before I took him. I called them several times to let them know that something was wrong with his ear. They told me to bring him back to get it checked. Mind you they stated that they did a check on his ears as routine for his initial checkup. After spending $200 already, they wanted me to pay another $49 to bring him right back. I wasnt satisfied with that because of the money I literally just spent. It was the next day and everyday within the same week that I was calling them. I would like to think that they should have seen him without me having to pay more money since the ear issue came from their establishment. They did not care at all. Hes gotten all of his shots and some extra that I paid for and they didnt even have the decency to see what happened to his ear while he was in their care. I actually liked them before this incident but this was unacceptable to me. I spent way too much money with these people for my dog for them to handle the situation like that. I can see if it was weeks or months later. It was literally the next day within the same week.

Then she gave me a recommendation of a different formula than what I was using.Once my kitten had been checked out I got a phone call from “No Caller ID” and Sydney (the same tech that came to get her) told me everything I needed to know and answered all my questions. Then I got a call about payment and paid over the phone. They gave me all her medicines with instructions and included a kitten bottle with the nipple already cut!Great experience and I will be taking her back at 6 weeks to get her vaccinations!Thank you Sydney and Alicia!!

This office used to be a good vet however now they are just in it for the money and do not care about the animals they claim to treat. When we brought our kitten who was going into shock it took them 45 minutes (after describing the symptoms of shock for them) to come to the parking lot to pick him up. We spent 45 minutes waiting in the car while they couldn’t be bothered to pick up a kitten going into shock because it would be a slight unconvinced. By the time they finally came to pick him up he had already passed away from shock. I realize that even if he was promptly seen he might still have passed but the 45 minute wait 10ft outside the building definitely lowered his chances of surviving. We have been using this vet for close to 20 years but no longer. This is the final straw on a list of issues including paying $650 for them to tell us our dog has an upset stomach and to prescribe some antibiotics. If you value the health of your pets don’t use this office especially in the case of emergency.

Been taking my Dog to this office for a few months for grooming which hasnt been an issue until this last visit. Brought in my dog for a grooming before the wife and I went on vacation, noticed a few abrasions on his ears before we left but figured that they would simply go away on their own and didnt look bad enough to cause an issue over. However one week later were back from vacation and the dog has been bothering his ears and now has serious scabs and pus, clearly and ear infection which I assume to be from the cuts after grooming. I call and set an appt with Dr. POTTS to look at my pup and explain to the front desk that Im willing to pay for the medication but figured I shouldnt have to pay the $50 exam fee due to the cause being from that very office. Unfortunately I work extensively so I had to send my wife in for the appt while I was at work and my wife was in tears due to Dr. POTTS being a complete jerk and acting demeaning to her because she asked about the fee. I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN. I strongly caution that you consider several other nearby options before coming here, ESPECIALLY if your visit is with Dr. POTTS as he is unkind and clearly unafraid of intimidating woman. My only hope here is that they cared enough to prescribe me the right medication for my poor puppy and that he gets better in a few days, otherwise I wasted $90 and will have to spend more to take him to another (more reputable) vet down the road.

I was told to arrive at 10:30am for my dog to get an ultrasound on her heart. I arrived at 10:30 and called the number on the parking spot sign. it went straight to a call queue and after 5 minutes of waiting on hold I noticed that texting was also an option so I texted that I was in the parking spot and my dogs name. two minutes later I get a response text stating that they will be right out. 30 minutes later some one shows up to the car to get my dog. I had to drive 45 minutes to this particular office because my usual vet needed the expertise of the vet on staff for the ultrasound. I told the person who came to get my dog that I will do some errands and check back with you all because of the drive I do not want to head home and drive there again and back home that is way too much driving time. She said it usually doesnt take that long unless they have to sedate my dog. I sent a text message at 2pm if they could provide an update because after 3 hours I ran out of errands to do and I would not like to drive all the way home if my dog would be ready soon. They responded an hour later that my dog is ready. I was just down the road so I was there in 5 minutes and I texted that I was in the parking lot. They immediately ask for payment, my wife paid on the phone one minute later (an over priced charge for a simple ultrasound). 35 minutes later they come out with my dog; and while Im waiting people who arrived after me had already gotten their pets and left. They were johnny on the spot to get their money and that was it. I will never go back there, if I have to see a specialist for something I will use another vet. This particular vet is in a network of vets that I usually see in Acworth, I used to think they were slow until I had the unfortunate experience of having to go to this office and they are by far the worst and slowest Vet Ive ever been to.To Update 8 months later after spending several hundred dollars for an ultrasound for my dogs heart which they said they found nothing wrong. Well my dog had a heart attack while we were taking a walk and passed away in the car. I suggest to pet owners to stay away from the entire collection of vet practices including lake city animal hospital. Once we recover from the sudden loss of losing our beloved dog and we find another dog I will have to find a decent vet office

I called to make a grooming appointment. The phone rang several times and finally went straight to holding, no one even said hello or please hold. While holding someone would pick up the receiver and put it right back to holding, saying nothing!! After 10 minutes and 18 seconds. I hung up.This kind of thing has happened to me several times with this place. If you complain they usually say you called during a busy time. Never an apology.I’m done!!

This has been my valued vet practice for 20 years. Dr. Potts is immeasurably revered in our family. Top notch vet, incredibly talented and up to date always. Cannot speak highly enough. He is warm, deeply cares about your pet, listens to his patients. Dr. Tripp is wonderful as well. Cannot go wrong with these 2 professionals.

Took my dog to get groomed, you have to call to check in when you get there due to Covid-19. I had to call several times, no one would answer. I finally get someone on the phone to be put on hold for another 10 mins. Finally checked in, went over what she was coming in for, grooming we wanted our husky to get a long shave. They didn’t mention a specific time to pick her up. I have always received a phone call when she is finished. I was patient, thought maybe since she was getting bathed and shaved maybe it was taking a little longer. I get there 5 mins till close, no one answers. All the employees are leaving, one of the employees stoped and asked me what dog I was picking up, I tell him and then he said no one is there to check me out, that she will have to stay the night! Technically, they were supposed to be open for another 5 mins. I tried calling on the way. I’m just blown away that they didn’t even attempt to call me, they would rather her stay the night. I picked her up, I was in tears! My husky doesn’t look like a husky anymore! This is not a long shave, I’ve had other issues in the past months. Lack of communication, if you try to talk to the employees they are very short with their responses. When they give your pet medicine they don’t ask you if you have any questions or if you even know how to administer the medication. I had to google it! Very poor customer service. Not happy at all. This will be the last time my dog comes here. If you decided to go here, I hope you have a much better experience then we have had.

I’ve been taking my dogs to this vet’s office for 10 years. They provide professional and caring service. When my dog recently passed away, they sent me a sympathy card. Shortly after losing my dog, I adopted a puppy from an animal shelter. This office provided a free rescue exam for my new dog. My dogs are like family, so I really appreciate the care and thoughtfulness of this establishment.

Our family pets have been going to this clinic for quite some time and when our beagle fell ill we felt it only made sense to bring her here. She had been vomiting for several days and was unable to eat, hold a meal down. We took her in and we were told that she had nerves that ran into her jaw that were severely irritated and the lump behind her ear was due to her battle with chronic ear infections. They sent us home with medications to treat that. The next day we saw no improvement and brought her back to the clinic. This time they suspected she might have cancer of the spleen and we left her in their care over night. They called us that afternoon and said they would be able to operate on her the following day. Our beagle is 11 + plus years old and we decided to get a second opinion and hold off on the surgery. Come to find out on a second opinion, she was suffering from cancer and had a weak heart. She was not operable and deemed terminally ill. If we had followed Dr. Whites instructions our dog would have died a painful death in surgery. We were also told they are supposed to take a full X-ray before they can preform any surgery. My question is why did prepare to operate knowing she was terminally ill and her body was FILLED with cancer? Why did they have no sound answers and was she even properly taken care of the night we left them in their care. She went further down hill when had retrieved her for a second opinion. We have tried to contact them and have come in person and nobody has sound answers. Our dog had to be put down and we are left with the pain and questions. We do NOT recommend this vet clinic to ANYONE. Please check the reviews,we did not.

After using Acworth Animal hospital for many years with always exceptional service we were looking for a boarding solution and Bartow was recommended being a sister company just to realize after a few weeks of leaving him there that this is a horrible business. My dog had lost an impressive amount of weight, dehydrated, and some how his food was over half way gone. We asked if there was a way for only females because he is fearful of other men and wanted to ensure everyone was satisfied. They admitted to many men dealing with him, they blacklisted him from being boarded due to aggression, and when we picked him up he did not have his bed that we provided him just a thin blanket/towel. Never in my life would I ever expect such neglect from a veterinarian. Overall, find a boarder that has the cameras so you can check on them. That was over $500 in boarding fees. Not happy.

Always have had an excellent experience with the vets and the staff: and this is what matters most to me. My dog is beyond delighted to return and very happy when she is there for boarding, and she has received great care when in surgery. The front office can be hectic and a little boggled at times, but overall they have things covered and are delivering solid service. The building is a bit unimpressive, but hey - Im not living there, right? Ive never had any issues or complaints. In comparison to my previous years at a major city vet in Atlanta, they do a very fine and equitable job. In addition, their rates are reasonable - though a touch high for boarding, but still fair - and there is always clarity in what the costs are.

We had an emergency with our 6 mo old lab puppy, and had to take him to Bartow Animal Hospital instead of his regular vet. I have never seen an office take such extraordinary care of animals! It was quite an ordeal and they have done everything with excellence. The office/doctors have continually informed us of what was going on. Dr. J. Tripp and Dr. White have been especially outstanding, but all of the staff is phenomenal. Our puppy will continue as a patient here!

I would not recommend this vet. I was told that my 18 yr old cat needed to be monitored for the night. But low and behold they have no one there to do any monitoring. Yes folks no one there to monitor the sick animals. At least at home I could have watched her and taken her to an emergency Vet if needed. I had a friend take my cat in and would have never given permission to have her kept overnight. When I called to get her out I was told that I was not the owner cause i was not the person who checked her in. Was told that nothing could be done till the morning. Do yourself a huge favor and go somewhere they actually care about animals cause Bartow Animal Hospital clearly does not.

This used to be the best vet in the City. Over the last couple of years, we have witnessed a considerable deterioration in the quality of care and a significant increase in cost. Took our sick puppy there last week. Nearly $200 later, nothing done, wife in tears and a thirty minute lecture on the puppys weight. It might be noted that her diet, exercise and food were recommendations from the vets there. We have two dogs and both are on the same diet. Our older dog is healthy and has lost weight. The younger dog continues to go down hill. I suspect something much more serious and will seek a second opinion. Just hope it isnt too late. I guess the empty waiting room every time I am there should have been my first clue.

I dont reccomend this place. 1st off, theyll charge you an arm and a leg. My dog only needed a rabies shot & they wanted an extra 49$ if I went back there with her as she got the shot. Thats just insane! Makes me feel like I cant trust them.2nd, the vet tech or whoever came out to get my Chihuahua to take her back for her Rabies shot tried putting a slip leash on her when she already had her harness and leash on. You should not use a slip leash on a chi. Their necks are fragile. My dog was scared and wouldnt walk with her. I picked her up and told her she could carry my dog. I would think this lady should know better working in a vets office. It didnt make any sense to put a slip leash on her with a leash already on her. I wont be coming back. I now feel like I cant trust them.

I reviewed their website and found discrepancies. It states more than once that caring, responsive and compassion is given to patients and families. Really? Monday I placed an emergency call (following 2 appts) in to Dr Potts. He was at lunch. I left a msg and was told he would call back. Long story short? I buried my cat Thursday. Never got a call.Edit: tried to leave a review at their website, but only 5 star reviews are posted.*** 1st appt I took Gabby in. Shes not eating or drinking, acting lethargic. 10 yrs old, but always been indoors. Many years left. He did a blood panel and we went over each, ALL WITHIN NORMAL LEVELS. Gave her meds for an upset stomach and antidepressant. $170+. Says if that doesnt work, the next step is xrays and barium to check for blockages.****3-4 days later I took her back because meds did nothing and shes worse. I panic when I realize how long its been since drinking. They agree to hydrate, and do the xray and barium, they kept her. I called the next day. No change, giving meds to make her hungry and going to do those tests. Kept her. Heard nothing and called the next day. No change, we are going to run those tests. I remind you said that yesterday, I was calling for results! Another day...no tests. Now Im showing anger, want to speak to Dr. Potts. He will call me back. ***5 minutes later my phone rings. Same tech, and a miracle happened!!! I walked in to check something and shes eating!! And drinking!! I ask for clarification. A few kibbles? Or woke up w hearty appetite? Im assured an impressive amount and can go home today. ***$179 that covered boarding, follow up physical, rabies shot and a steroid shot. If they hadnt wasted days on boarding, steroids et al...I could have paid cash (now $350 in for less than 2 weeks) for barium and xrays. I think they assumed otherwise.****I take her home and its clear before evening she was not better. Still lethargic, no food or water. I had been given pills to try to make her hungry. What they did was make her nauseaus and swollen. Im thinking definite blockage. Monday morning called Dr Potts. No response. Called back and asked if I could at least get her pain meds until he will speak to me? She consulted him and he was kind enough to allow her less pain.**** by day 2 and going into 3, I knew we were too late for any tests now. Her pain meds were not enough and it was time to end her misery. I was angry enough that I didnt want the ones responsible (imo, although I should have gone elsewhere) to do it...but she passed 30 minutes before they opened.****So thank you Dr Potts for essentually killing my cat. By the end of our 1st appt, I felt a shift and knew Id rubbed you the wrong way. From that moment on, not only could I not contact you, but you allowed your patient of 10 yrs (I inhereted her, but she had always gone there) THAT HAD PERFECT LABS A WEEK PRIOR, to pass in horrific pain. The pain did make her kind of less lethargic. It made her sit in one position, facing the wall for hours at a time. I didnt know how to handle beyond trying to get you. So I suppose I learned what I needed to. Hopefully I can help others understand...GO SOMEWHERE ELSE IMMEDIATELY AT YOUR FIRST TWINGE OF DOUBT!!

I have spent almost 300 dollars on vet bills from taking my kitten to this office. I took my kitten in for a check up and and they allowed him to come nose to nose with a kitten who had an upper respiratory infection. They never said anything about the other kitten being sick until I brought my kitten back in because he started getting sick. When I brought him back in they told me the kitten he came in contact with has an upper respiratory infection and thats probably how he got sick. So they put him on medication for 7 days ( and from info I got from another vet normal dose is 14 days of antibiotics) so my kitten has now been sick 2 and a half weeks so I took him back to them and the dr we saw said he did want to give him medication because ( he didnt want him to get use to the medicine) so I decided to get a second opinion from another vet office and was advised he has a fever and he is dehydrated and now 218 dollars later he is starting to get better. This vet office is the worst Ive been to.

I took my ferrets in for the second time for a cough they were having which according to Dr. Potts is caused by stress. I was given some medication to take home for my ferrets cough, and when i went home to give the medication to my ferret i see something floating in the medication and with closer inspection it’s a insect or flea in it. I call them to let them know of the incident and the only thing i can do is bring it back in but i live over an hour away and do not have the time to take it back whenever i please. I am disappointed with the carelessness of whomever issued me the medication for my ferret and will be taking them elsewhere from now on, it is totally frustrating how they can be so careless to not double check the medication they are giving to one of your loved pets and give you such a careless attitude over the phone as if giving you contaminated medications for a sick pet isnt a cause of concern.
