Visited this place once but was very impressed by their staffs professionalism, large variety of exercise equipment, weights, and the cleanliness. An excellent place to workout at a very low cost. Highly recommended.

Absolutely love this gym and the atmosphere. They have a lot of equipment but it can get pretty busy in the mornings and afternoons after 5.

Being a traveler, best gym in Carson. Easy, cheap day pass rates , good people, clean machines, and lots of weights. Not much else you can ask for! Melissa the manager always takes care of her customers! Shes the best.

March 17, 2020 update: The staff of this facility has responed in exceptionally strong fashion to the changed needs for cleanliness on a constant basis, floors, machines, and the group exercise room. I have watched the managment and staff transform the facility from my perch on a elliptical machine facing the main floor from the south end of the gym. Members have stepped up and are actively engaged in wiping down the equipment as they use it. Great local gym. Friendly staff, aerobic machines, lots of free weights and machines, personal trainers and group classes. Ive been a member for ten years. Not sure what would get a five star rating, but I do recommended Fitness for Ten! Open 24 hours most days. Steam rooms, and tanning beds.

Please fix your bathrooms. Staff is very friendly, however how can we get into the gym after hours if we forget our badge or badge isnt functional? Is there a call number.

The bad: The cable cross over machine is in dire need of replacement. At times it will break and go unaddressed for weeks. For the longest time there was a bubble in the mat right in front of the free weights, and I was witness to multiple people stumbling over it. Very dangerous. Someone who probably tripped over the bubble took a knife and cut it down the center, either in a rage, or in an attempt to try and fix it. Of course it didnt work. Attention to detail is lacking from staff, and I have yet to see any of them cleaning equipment. I made the mistake of going into the mens bathroom once. Cleanliness and safety, two of the most important things, are lacking.The good: Never had any issues with other members, or witnessed anyone being disrespectful. Free weights are all in good shape, and there is never any waiting after 6:00pm.I think this is a fair and unbiased review. Replacing the cable cross over machine, and some good management of the place, would make a world of difference.

Dont get this confused with Equinox, but for the price? Fully worth it. Staff is friendly, cleaning stations everywhere, and everyone is following the covid rules. Im a middle aged fat woman and no one makes me feel uncomfortable being there. Boyfriend is a gym rat and he loves the weight setup. So a gym for everyone.

Honestly you get what you pay for, $10 a month gives you some machines that are forever broken, not kinda broken that will get fixed soon or in a timely manner but just broken, forget it exists. And people who like to stand by machines for long intervals on end despite other wanting to use them. I wanted to use the leg press (or whatever technical name it has) and these two women literally stood there for 30 minutes talking! Like fn use the damn machine or don’t! Anyway meh review for a meh place

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. The equipment is clean and up to date.The personal trainers are very competent and helpful.

Social safety measures are in place and everything you need to develop including tanning.

The environment is greate just poor management that are not willing to work with members of the gym

Being open 24/7 is convenient for those who get off work at 2 am a d s great way to release energy to fall asleep quicker for a busy long day.

So I have to say we have tried twice to cancel the membership and the first time they said you can’t do it over the phone, I understand that completely now we go in and they say there is a $50.00 fee to cancel and they are going to charge us another month even though they just charged us for the month on the 14 of February!! They are awful and they were no help at all when we asked to speak to the manager! I would not recommend at all!

I wish they would keep this place up a little. Given, it is a cheap place, so what should I expect. The price is great and the 24-hour access is amazing. I plan to renew my membership.

I took a tour today. They had much more equipment than I thought and all of it modern and in good condition. I will be joining soon to get this old body back in shape again. Mens bathroom is a little rough but hell, its a gym, what do you expect! :-}

If I could give 0 stars I would, I spoke with Robert the manager and he hung up on me after charging my card 3 individual times for $59.98 the gentleman would not do anything about it when Ive only payed 60$ a month not 180$ I am very displeased with the service and DO NOT recommend this place to anyone at all. He proceeded to tell me that I am wrong and I will be billed to collections when I never gave my social. Not happy at all with this company.Had to close my whole debit card account so that I didn’t get charged 200$ a month

I like this gym. They have a good facility, and its hardly ever too crowded. The equipment sometimes goes through phases of being broken, but in general its all there and available. Theres also a bunch of underutilized equipment. I like to go use that stuff since its always open and helps me to be more fit and less focused on one thing (like muscles, cardio, etc.).Often, theyre playing classic rock which is a drag, but you can always bring your own headphones.The saunas are locked shut. Im guessing that they dont want to maintain them so they just closed them down.The showers are usually decent. Of course, you still need to bring your shower shoes. Soap is always well stocked (a plus).Lockers are available, just bring your own lock.Tanning beds are available, but Ive never used them myself.

I like coming to work out here. Only down side is the judgemental people that also go there. I get a lot of negative stares while im there.

Friendly staff! It is so easy to make friends at this establishment. People are always courteous and willing to share their time with anybody that needs pointers or spotting. For the price and environment, you cant go wrong with them!!

Good selection of equipment... if you can get on any of it. It is VERY difficult to find a time to work out when its NOT super packed. There are many elderly people who just sit on a machine and not even use it. That probably explains all the urine on the floor in front of the urinals in the bathroom as well. I know its not really the gyms fault that this area is becoming overpopulated and everyone happens to go to the cheapest and probably biggest gym in the area. I just cant stand people sitting on equipment and not even using it. It would be nice if a gym were opened just for the elderly... I have nothing against them personally, but they are slow and in the way frequently. Also, in the past 2 weeks I have seen a fully naked old man in the locker room twice. One guy came out of the shower with a towel slung over his shoulder instead of around his waist. Its really disgusting and uncalled for to be fully naked in the locker room. Nobody but the incredibly elderly/flabby are doing this. Put some clothes on.

I have a membership for two year up until the COVID closures. This company then decides to charge me a renewal fee during the closure and two months reoccurring payments. Vampires can’t provide the service and still bill. Garbage

Great equipment and a wide variety to choose from, never got a tour or help from any of the employees though. Needs to be a little more personal on the staffs side. Other than that great place to workout!

New equipment and great environmemt for those who wish to get fit on a budget

Great place to excercise, the facility is huge and they have great personal trainers. Im always able to have a great workout here, my only problem is remembering to go. Theyre open most of the time though, so you always find a time that works.

Fitness for 10 (FF10) is conveniently located in Carson City on Fairview between Roop & Saliman with a good selection of a variety of equipment from free weights, weight machines to treadmill, stair climber, the ropes (LOVE this) to my hands down fave the elliptical that works with my workouts for when I need to #movemybody ...get in here to see the TRX and other equipment they have to offer.Friendly staff is happy to help with all of your fitness needs from getting you signed up for a membership to group fitness classes like spinning, Zumba, and Boot Camp plus get your tan on in one of their tanning beds, sign up with one of Peak Performance personal trainers to get you on track for that extra push, andddd now they have added the Kids Club too.Improvements are constantly being made here, whether it be fresh coat of paint or the aforementioned Kids Club, bringing in NEW equipment by moving stuff around thats that latest and greatest. Would be nice if they would focus a wee bit more on the cleanliness of the bathrooms and tanning bed area - please & thank you. Overall FF10 is a great bang for your buck with helpful staff and a good locale that at the end of the day nothing feels as good as fit feels!! So get in here and #moveYOURbody

Clean facility

Some great new equipment. Bathrooms need some cleaning though. Toilets and urinals are usually filthy and all over the floors. The rest of the gym is pretty well kept clean though. Staff are friendly.

They have a fantastic zumba instructor. And flexible times for classes.

The complaints about this place are ridiculous. I love this gym. TONS of equipment. If you want 24/7 access, go VIP! Well worth the $19.99 a month. Other gyms have less equipment and charge way more.

Great place

A run-of-the-mill gym with nothing special. Has locker rooms and segregated hot tubs. The steam room is okay but sometimes get too hot when others turn up the heat. I had my day clothes taken from a locker here by a thief. I need to have your own lock. The dressing area is very crowded and cramped

They are terrible on their maintenance, machines are either broke down or the place is always dirty.Also, and lets face it, its not $10 a month its $13.25 a month, they sneak in a $39.99 charge every year and call it a BS maintenance fee. Just tell me its $13.25 a month... And admit that you dont actually do maintenance.

Be careful joining this workout center. They hit you with unexpected fees to milk you for all your worth. Like the 30 day cancel fee. My pay day is tomorrow, but I still have to pay my monthly fee tomorrow for a month. Theres just no reason for that. Now staff hours for taking care of any business or making purchases, is down to 10am to 4pm.

Great atmosphere only wish the training sessions were a little more affordable but I know that Fitness For 10 isnt responsible for that

I think I might be allergic to working out it causes me to breathe hard and sweat. But I think if Im going to have an allergic reaction, for only $10 a month, and a very clean facility, with the latest equipment, this would be the place

4 stars due to the great monthly rates. Gym recently got some newer machines that is an improvement. A great cross of people there, lots of seniors

Today was my first day at fitness for 10. It was a great experience, I am new to town, the front desk helped me out and made me feel welcome. Even a few of the members said welcome. Its a great place with a ton of space, free weights, cardio machines, as well as other lifting equipment. Looking forward to going back every day!

Went to cancel my membership and they told me over the phone that if I cancel it within a 30 day notice I wouldnt be charged $50. So I canceled it 6/1/20 and yet there still charged me $50 on top of already charging me $60 on 6/1/20. Wont be going back.

Am disappointed that they have closed down the steam room. Enjoyed using it after a hard workout. Definitely a disappointment. Hopefully they will reconsider their decision.

The amount of people that do not clean the equipment after use is disturbing. But showers are hit or miss and generally alright but you people need to clean up after yourselves this aint your mommas house.

I get sweaty and unclean after a workout - duh. The bathrooms and showers M-U-S-T be remodeled. YUK. No decent place to shower and clean up after a workout. Traded going to this place for Eagle Fitness - a much farther drive from my place, but worth it. Both places have friendly staff.

I just joined this gym. I want my money back!!! Its horrible!! I dont care if its $10 a month. I asked if the machines are set up for a fluid movement for circuit training. They said no.I asked if they have a sauna, steam room, or jacuzzi. They said no. I asked them how I can listen to TV while utilizing the cardio machines. They said there is no way to listen to it. I can only use the closed caption if I wanted to know whats going on. I asked what the wifi password is. I was told they dont have wifi. I have major joint issues so I need water aerobics. But, they have no pool. They have no yoga classes. I dont use weights free or machines.This is a horrible gym. Im stuck paying a monthly fee for a gym I can NOT use. I want my money back!!

This is the worst gym ever! They changed the staff hours so the only time you can tan is before 7 or buy anything, and they didnt tell anyone they were changing staff hours or facility hours. 20+ a month I pay and No notes, emails,signs. So for those of us who work are screwed basically or else we have to pay a termination fee. They didnt warn us, leave notes, I had to help a lady in who was locked out because staff just took off. Now its more than overcrowded and smells because everyone is trying to get there before staff leaves. That is not what was brought when I signed up for my membership. I am taking my membership to 24 hour fitness! Least you get free wifi and staff there!

I dont know why these gyms have been getting bad reviews, overall its a great gym for the price. The only gripe I had is that the locker rooms arent that big, but the rest of the gym has all or more of the features of similar gyms in the area for a cheaper price.Its definitely got a gym vibe to it, so if youre expecting more of a club experience Id suggest you look elsewhere. But if you just want the standard gym experience (weights, cardio, nautilus) on a budget this is the gym for you. Theyve even got a piece of equipment Ive never seen before called a Treadwall, which is basically a rock wall that is mounted on a vertical treadmill so you can keep climbing up for as long as you want and never be more than 3 feet off the ground. Its a great workout and probably the funnest piece of equipment ive ever used.
