Good staff, wonderful food, nice wine sampling.

This is a hidden treasure! Beautiful winery and events area right in Carroll. Would love to go back on a Thursday for their entertainment. Bought 2 bottles after sampling . Very good wine!

WOW so good. We were just trying to find a little place for a sandwich and found this treasure. Great attmosphere food was amazing at Barattas Steakhouse (same place)

Beautiful place, relaxing atmosphere, great service! Raspberry Chipotle chicken pizza was really yummy. There is a fairly large variety of wines, many that I liked.

We try to come here for a date night every time were visiting family in nearby Glidden, beautiful and unique inside! Weve tried various dishes, havent been disappointed yet. Great place if youre looking for something a bit nicer.

The best thing about this restaurant is the atmosphere. Our waitress was excellent about bringing the wine samples, but service for the meal itself was terrible. So bad even that someone in our party had to actually go get silverware for our desserts, after we had waited for at least 15 minutes with the plates in front of us!! Food was okay but not excellent. The dessert selections were minimal and limited. This place has the potential to be phenomenal. I hope it achieves that someday.

The Iowa Chop is the best dish they have to offer! Service was great. Server was knowledgeable and entertaining Owners took the time to check on us even when busy!

I agree with an earlier post - the pasta is blah for a name that seems Italian. We enjoyed the wine and outside seating. The wait staff is poor on the friendly end of things - they process orders like nuts on a bolt, not like people who want to create a winery experience. Youd think that an owner that made such efforts to produce a quality venue in style and appearance would work with his staff. Their demeanor is even worse on the phone.

Stopped in for a quick bite on our way through town. Everyone loved it, we will be back. No fried food made it even better!

Great food and atmosphere with outdoor eating and banquet areas. Not big dessert menu but great local wines!

This is a winery and not a restaurant. The menu and hours have been pared down so this rating is really a reflection on the SM as a restaurant. The wine is fine but not amazing.

The food is terrible and their son is a felon who beats up unconscious kids. I don’t know about you but if they can’t raise a decent, well adjusted human, how can they run a decent restaurant. To the owners: tell your son to turn himself in and quit hiding out. If you have any hesitation or think I am insane, go to Iowa courts online and search Viktor Guinan.

We really enjoyed the Malbec. Also cant miss with Eves End apple cinnamon wine.

Fantastic food & great service! Beautiful place!

A group of us ate here, and each ordered a different thing. None were good. The lettuce salads were wilted lettuce with dehydrated cucumbers. One had to return a bad tasting steak. Would not recommend , and will definitely not go back.. Very disappointed.

Been here twice before and never waited for over an hour for dinner. Long wait for food. Food is really good though.

This is one of the better places in Carroll to get a steak, they pretty much have a cook staff that understands what MR Ribeyes are.

Beautiful venue and definitely worth a visit!
