Karl and Zach are incredible at what they do. I consider myself lucky that I knew Karl prior to this engagement to create a highly important work of art for my fiancée and for our family to enjoy for generations. She had an old ring from her grandmother that she wanted her own ring to be modeled after, and I completely trusted Karl to come up with something she would love based on her ideas. A small part of me was worried, but when I saw the finished product I was absolutely speechless. This ring they created it was like the one my fiancée wanted it to look like, but if you can imagine youre a nerdy video gamer (like me) and that ring is a level 1 ring. Karl and Zach created the level 100 LEGENDARY version of that ring. My fiancée couldnt see the ring until the big question day of course, but she was in the car and I had trouble pulling my eyes off this ring because of how stunning it was. I truly could not believe how intensely beautiful it was and how perfectly they had taken the concept of the ring we provided as a model of the design and turned it into an original work of art. I am just home from an incrediblly happy experience with Rings True. I have a favorite ring whose band (with inlaid opals) was smashed during an accident at the gym. Not knowing about Rings True, I took it to three jewelers in Chapel Hill, all of whom told me that it would be impossible to repair the band, given the opal inlays. The last one recommended Rings True and said that they were my best bet. When I went in this morning, I was warmly welcomed by Roxanne. THen Zach examined my ring, outlined the potential losses and gains, and asked if I wanted to proceed. I said I did. Within minutes, he correctly sized my ring. I was astounded at his courtesy, accuracy, speed, and overall competence. Rings True is where I will start in the future with every purchase and repair. My fiancé and I just happened to stumble across this place when we were wedding band shopping, and we couldn’t be happier with her custom band. Zach was extremely helpful and talented in drafting a drawing of my finances vision. After that first encounter, we had a beautifully handcrafted custom wedding band in our hands four weeks later. The quality of craftsmanship and customer service cannot be beaten. Every time we stop by the store, we are greeted by name. I wish I knew of this place when I purchased the engagement ring. I even had her engagement ring taken to be resized as Zach showed us how it was actually a bit too big. I cannot give a high enough rating to them. We will be using them for all future jewelry purchases!

I used this jeweler in Raleigh to fix a ring pre-pandemic. I was so impressed with their customer service that I decided to bring them a bunch of old jewelry to see what we could make of it. I was surprised to see that they had moved to Carrboro, but I thought the drive would be worth it (spoiler: it was!). I dropped in with some rings that had been gifted to me through the years but that were either out of style or not my style. I also brought in my moms engagement ring to re-mount it in the original setting. All of this was custom work.First, I would like to say that their customer service is FANTASTIC! They listened to all my sentimental stories about the rings and paid attention to the simple styles that I do like. They quickly worked up drawings of ideas and emailed them to me along with cost quotes (super transparent). We communicated via email to settle on the final design, and they were super responsive to questions I had. All-in-all, I had them make 2 rings, a necklace, and earrings. The work is so clean and really high quality. Its pretty great to have someone be willing to do creative, custom-made jewelry and be so reasonably priced, too. I really felt like they took care of me here. I would not hesitate to take anything back to them - even a ring clean would be worth the trip.Thanks for everything!!

I was was referred to Karl and Rings True by my mother who had been going to Karl for custom jewelry for awhile. Outstanding service. I had 2 wedding bands made there. They made them really fast and matched the picture that I had brought perfectly. Then, my band was a little large and I took it in to have it downsized. They did the work in a record time of 2 days and I was able to pick up my ring, which didnt show any signs of having being worked on.

PLEASE patronize this store! I am new to the area and found Rings True while shopping in the area. I wanted my necklace shortened and Karl, the jeweler, fixed it right there on the spot. After that I had another necklace that I never wore (beaded necklace) made into two bracelets. They came out GREAT! I had a platinum ring upon which I wanted some engraving. Mr. Linger said he couldnt do it himself but knew just the guy who could and I couldnt be happier with the results. Now Im trying to think of something unique to have him make.

I have seen other jewelers in the area but Carl is hands down the best. Ive had some vintage (1890 wedding set for my great grandmother) settings ruined by someone in Apex. I was heart-broken. After two years of being upset every time I looked at it I read about Carl in the paper. I thought what the heck. He restored it to beyond what it was before the other guy got his hands on it. Now its something that will pass from generation to generation. I have taken quite a few things to him, if it needed fixing he fixed it if it was secure and in good condition he told me so. Honest gentleman. Ive referred friends to him and they have said the same thing.

I have been so happy with the work that Rings True has done for me recently. I first went to see them after I was engaged to get my ring resized and have gone back to get other jewelry resized and had a few heirloom pieces remade into more modern pieces. I am a wedding planner here in Raleigh and recently I was looking to get my fiancés ring engraved. Because the band is an untraditional metal, several other jewelers would not help me. Rings True jeweler accommodated me. Karl Linger really walked me through the process and acted as a liaison to his vendor partner who engraves out of Charlotte. In a week and a half the band returned with a hand engraving that matched the sample perfectly. Karl gave me a wonderful deal on the ring and was really helpful during the whole exchange.
