I called Rices Glass to help me with a unique project. I built a 9x3 stained glass window in a second story bedroom, overlooking my living room. I needed a piece of tempered glass installed in front of the stained glass to keep my child and/or visitors from accidentally falling through the stained glass window into the room below. From start to finish the process was flawless, friendly, and professional. Brad, in the sales office, was patient and warm on the phone as I tried to explain this unconventional project to him. He was clear about the companys process and what to expect in terms of service and timeline, which was perfectly accurate. When Chris and Ricky arrived, they were amazing. They were so lovely and went above and beyond to be thoughtful about safety and cleanliness (COVID masks and booties for their shoes without me asking). They were so professional and took all of the necessary precautions to take care of my house as they installed the biggest piece of glass I have ever seen. The install was impeccable and their craftsmanship and attention to detail was inspiring. I cant recommend working with Rices Glass enough and I look forward to our next collaboration.

I recently had a glass shower door replaced by Rices Glass, and the whole experience was great from start to finish.The sales person who came out and measured was very knowledgeable and helpful, and gave me four different options to choose from based on what I was looking for. They have examples of the shower doors at their store, so its very helpful to be able to actually see what they look like and how they work.The installers did the job neatly and efficiently, clearly knew what they were doing, and were helpful answering my questions.This is definitely a nice upgrade for my bathroom. I would certainly use Rices again.

We recently in 4 1/2 weeks completed an outdoor porch area from traditional windows to full plate tempered glass and installed lower windows with screens to pull to the center creating a no grid look in a pleasing appearance the finish was top line and we finished it off with a full view aluminum door of very good quality we can’t help but thank Alton Rice and his staff especially Todd for the remarkable job & extremely competitive cost.

Some strong winds caused my window to blow in. The metal frame hit the window ledge and bent, and the glass cracked. Tommy came out to assess the damage, and gave me estimates on repairing the window as well as replacing it with a new vinyl window. I decided to try to repair the window first. The team at Rices was very friendly on the phone, did a great job of keeping me updated while they were processing my order, and the team who came out to do the work on my window were very courteous and efficient. They made sure everything worked well and that I was happy with the work before they left. Bradley called to check and make sure that everything was still working correctly and to make sure I was still happy with it all. I would definitely choose to work with them again! We ordered and had them install 2 custom shower doors in our Master Bath. First they sent someone to measure and the installation took place two weeks later. The installers were polite, answered any questions, respectful of the property and knowledgeable. The whole experience from start to finish was excellent.

We had a clerestory window repair and a shower door replaced. The window repair was very cost effective, and both the window and shower enclosure look fantastic. This family owned business certainly lived up to our high expectations. They were respectful of our home, wore mask/booties and were so careful of their surroundings in bringing the heavy glass up our stairs. After interviewing many contractors for our master bath remodel, it was so refreshing to have people show up when they said they would, be respectful of our time and property and do such an amazing job. They took time to really focus on little details. I cannot tell you how much we appreciate the professionalism this company exhibited from start to finish. I had a very small project to install a window screen. Alton Rice handled my request with great care. He knows I am a student with very limited budget, so he patiently instructed me to measure the window size by myself. It turned out that his advice worked so well, that the new screen fits perfectly and seamlessly - like an original one. And the price is really reasonable for a student. Lynn and Billy came to the house from Rices Glass Co. today and replaced the glass in several double hung windows, two fixed glass windows, and the fixed side of a sliding glass patio door. They also replaced the wheels on the sliding door, which had quit sliding. The guys did an fantastic job on everything, got it done quickly, and cleaned up so there was no mess left behind. Rice’s Glass is one of those places that is still in business because they treat their customers well and they do good work. I can’t speak for other people’s experiences, but I’ve always received polite and prompt service with a business - like but warm and can do attitude, from the folks at the front desk, and the guys in the shop.

Rices really seems to go the extra mile to help their customers. They replaced a car window and regulator for me this week after my car was vandalized. Everyone was helpful in getting me back on the road quickly. I felt they were honest and fair and I will highly recommend their services to others.

The staff at Rices hand cut and smoothed the edges on a replacement glass shelf for an antique china closet in one week. Other shops either refused the job because of difficulty with shape and thickness of the glass. One kept the pattern shelf for 6 weeks with no progress. The staff at Rices was very polite and professional. I recommend them highly for good and timely service.

Ive used Rices Glass for custom shower enclosures at three homes.They really do a wonderful job and stand by their products. On my current shower enclosure, installed three years ago, the handle was loose due to a missing washer. I emailed and they told me to stop by for a new washer and a screw. Instead of giving me those small items, they gave me a brand new back-to-back shower door handle! One cannot ask for better customer care!At my previous home, they also replaced glass in windows and transoms for me.So, from years of good experiences, I cannot say enough good things about this local company.

Rices Glass has done all of my work for years from shower doors to repairs to broken windows, to installation of mirrors. . Always prompt and professional service. Most recently my shower door I had put in by them 3 years ago, had gotten off track. I phoned Alton he sent someone out the next day to fix the problem, he didnt charge me for the repair. Now that is customer service at its finest.

This was the only company who responded quickly and came out to my home the same day to give me an estimate on the glass for the broken window in my bedroom. An excellent experience all around. I received a return phone call first thing the next morning after I called, and Alton explained everything beautifully. He just told me to bring the window down and theyd fix it the same day. It only took about four hours to complete the repair, even though they were very busy and a man down. Had a very frustrating experience with a shower door. Process started 3 weeks ago and ended today. Several calls and emails and when someone came out for the final measurement, they told me they couldnt do something that was part of the initial request. Back to square one, hope to give the next glass company a better review.

I would highly recommend Rices Glass for any window or glass repair. Rices Glass Company has been a Godsend to our family several times. The most recent was yesterday with a rear auto window that was shattered by a stone from a strimmer. They gave me a very reasonable estimate over the phone which was a fraction of the insurance estimate and the dealers estimate. They made me an appointment for the next day and they had the job done perfectly the following day by noon. AND they stuck completely to the estimate. The car looks brand new. The window works perfectly and it is a standard safety glass window just like the dealer would have installed. I dont know why anyone goes anywhere else besides Rices Glass Company. Call them before your insurance company for window and windshield needs!

Have dealt with them for years never had an issue price was fair customer service was great very helpful then out of nowhere they start adding extra fees and when I asked about the fees they get an attitude and tell that’s the price you want it or not basically won’t be using them anymore

They did a good job on my cars windshield a few years back, so I cant knock them there. I did have a rough time getting them to return my calls on a window replacement project for my home. A sales guy came over to measure the windows. He was pretty friendly and when he left, he said hed get back to me with an estimate. After a couple of weeks of hearing nothing I decided to check in. I called three separate days the next week, but I couldnt get anyone at Rices who knew anything about my project. I left the sales guy three messages, none of which he returned. I tried again the third week and finally got a guy who knew about my project and gave me his word that he would call me the next day. He didnt call, but the original sales guy did send me an email with the estimate. In the meantime I had the Aluminum Company of Raleigh come over and they gave me a same day estimate and asked less money than Rices quote, plus Aluminum Company returned my calls and generally acted like they wanted my business. I wouldnt recommend Rices for any work other than car windows.
