My mom and I had the best time on the El Yunque Hiking adventure! Our guides Frankie, Chris, and Mitchell made the trip super fun. Frankie was super knowledgeable about the history of the forest, and Puerto Rico as a whole. All three took time to hold conversations with all of us on the trip and teach us about native plants and other cool things along the trail. We all felt very safe and every one felt supported to jump off the rocks and go down the slides. It was one of the best experiences of my life and Im so grateful my mom and I could share it for her birthday trip!

We wanted to do something somewhat off the beaten path. So, when we saw this tour, it seemed to be just what we were looking for. It definitely was off the beaten path. Read on for a full description.PRE COMMUNICATION:The tour operator does tell you to bring hiking shoes, but they also say walking sandals are sufficient in the description. This is absolutely not the case. You will want very good soled shoes for this tour, like hiking boots. I was lucky to be wearing sandals with good soles but some people in the group had on Crocks and were slipping all over the place. Wear hiking shoes or boots AND make sure you are good with these getting completely soaked, otherwise bring water sandals as well.PICKUP:They called us the day before to arrange a pickup location. It was near our AirBNB so only a 5 minute walk to meet the tour bus. Our pickup time was 7:15am and that turned out to be VERY helpful later on in the tour. We were the first people in the area, and Jaime said it would be busy when we were coming back down the river. He was right. There were a TON of people at the end of our tour.EXPLANATION OF THE TOUR:Like I said above, the pre communication was not really clear. Many people on the tour were completely surprised by the level of difficulty of the trek to get to the rainforest. Many people missed the necessity for a change of clothes as well. You get completely soaked head to toe.On the way there, the tour guide (Jaime) did a great job setting up expectations. He was funny and whitty, and set expectations for a great trip.THE TREK:Expect tons of mud, uneven walking surfaces, steep downhill climbs, very jungle like conditions, uphill rock climbs over super cool tree roots and uneven rocks. It is super fun but challenging.THE MAIN EVENTS:There are five main events, two slides, a 40’ jump, a rope swing, and a smaller jump at the end. Everything is optional, so at any point you don’t want to do something you just opt out.The slides were super fun. There was a smaller (about 10’) and larger (about 25’). Both were very easy although the larger jars you around a bit.I opted out of the 40’ jump but my two sons (13 and 16) both did it and said it was fun.The rope swing was in the main pool at the end. It was short but fun.The last jump was anywhere from about 8’ to 20’. I did the 20’ jump and it was just right.PHOTOS:You can bring your camera in a plastic sleeve or the tour operator takes a ton of photo/videos and sends them afterward. We opted to not bring our phones and the supplied images/videos were great.FOOD ON THE WAY HOME:We stopped at a small roadside restaurant. The food there was very good and apparently the smoothies were excellent (we didn’t take advantage). We had the turnovers and they were fantastic.DROP OFF:Very easy and convenient. They dropped us right off where we started.OVERALL REVIEW:A+++. We really had a great time and it lived up to the name of “Off the beaten path” tremendously. As I said above though, wear good shoes!

These guys are the best of the best! I booked this tour through viator and it was beyond amazing! HECTOR, Felix, and Mitchell were the our guides and they were super knowledgeable about the rainforest and all it has to offer. It was my sisters 25th birthday and they stopped at a local bakery and got her a sweet treat and sang happy birthday to her, exceeded our expectations totally. You want an amazing day in the rainforest call these guys!!

During my stay in Puerto Rico, I had a wonderful experience with this company doing the all day El Yunque/Night Bioluminescent Kayak Tour! It was amazing! The tour guides were so kind, helpful, and ensured safety at all times. I even loved the 2 places we stopped for food. I highly suggest this tour.

Booked an El Yunque Adventure Hike with these folks. Great communication leading up to the hike and the guides were wonderful during the hike. What’s more, James of Bespoke provided all of the families a link to tons of photos and videos he took of the day of all of the families and their experiences - great memories!

I highly recommend this company they have great communication from booking until the end of the tour. My cousin and I did the El Yunque Rainforest Guided Hiking with Waterfall Tour and it was amazing! Please know this is a hike that needs proper shoes. You will be walking through water and over rocks. We had 3 tour guides Jaime (James), Big Joe, and Mitchel. They were amazing! So nice and super helpful. They made sure everyone was safe and having a good time. Mitchel is a rainforest acrobat who will hoist you up when needed, Big Joe will get you through all the scary jumps with encouragement, and Jaime is very professional, so sweet, and a great photographer. I would do it again and request the same team!!

I called to request a cancellation more than 24 hours for our tour as we were not feeling well, and later when I spoke with Viator, they lied saying that we only tole them at 4 pm the day before the tour. When i asked them for a refund, they told me to talk to Viator and refused to refund me, Super unprofessional will not go with them again.

We used Expedia to book their Old San Juan Deluxe Walking Tour late April, 2021 and the day before the tour, I received a phone call from them saying it was canceled. When I asked about my refund, they said I needed to go through Expedia. I call Expedia and they state they have not been able to reach anyone at this business to complete the refund. It has been almost a month and THESE PEOPLE TOOK $150 and have yet to answer their phones/return my calls for my refund. Save your money and go elsewhere because we have yet to get ours back!

I booked this tour through Travelocity based on the great reviews I read. My cousins and I booked a tour to the rainforest and had a GREAT time! The rainforest was beautiful and this company made us feel very safe. They were always around to offer assistance and answer any questions. They made sure to explain everything that would take place during the tour. I will definitely book with this company in the future and refer any friends or family to book.

Start time was suppose to be 9:45 AM and ending at 9:00 PM. But BeSpoke Lifestyle Management changed the pickup time the night before to 8:15 AM; and we were home at 10:00 PM. The first part of our “Combo El Yunque/ Bio-luminescent tour ended at 2:00 PM. The Second part of the tour started at 5:00 PM. We were just dropped off at a bar on the side of a highway to wait for 3 hours before being picked up for the second portion. The first tour (El Yunque) guide was extremely rude. When we asked why the tour arranged the timing such that we had to wait three hours in between tours, his response was “if you both had swam and slid down waterfalls, then the first part of the tour would have taken longer and you would not have to wait as long”. This is ridiculous. There were six of us in the group and only two did all the waterfall components. We did not rush them in any way so this tour would not have taken longer and we all still would have had to wait three hours on our own. The tour is about sliding off waterfalls, jumping off 2-4 storey high cliffs, and rock climbing at a intermediate level with steep grades of up to 80 degrees. There was no indication of the level of “hike” involved. There are zero ropes to help you climb the boulders and rocks, which become exceptionally slippery once wet, by wet climbers and some light rain. Would strongly suggest wearing Keen type shoes to have grip for rock climbing and traversing through rivers. It is slippery, dangerous and the worst is the attitude of the guide who often left all of us, and was far ahead on trails and rocks. He also gave zero indication of how long half of our group would have to wait, while he took two of our group members off further into steeper waterfalls. When we arrived at El Yunque, we asked if we should carry our knapsack on the “hike” since we had towels, bottled water and change of clothes in our knapsack. His attitude was very short and rude as he answered “I don’t tell people to take anything on the hike or leave anything in the car”. What kind of answer is that?! Listen, after taking this tour I can provide the right answer: “you will cross river beds up to waist deep where you must be comfortable leaving your knapsack/belongings on a rock side without supervision. And it could be about an hour or so unsupervised. Knowing this, take what you will at your own risk”This is not a hike. This is all about rock climbing and jumping off cliffs/sliding off waterfalls. One of the rock waterfall “slides” is about 18 feet long and about 2-3 feet wide. It is quite narrow and if you don’t tuck in your feet and elbows properly, you can hurt yourself. Also this is rock eroded over time so it is not necessarily completely smooth 100%; you will feel bumps going down. If you have ever gone down a “normal” water slide, then you know that your body can move in many ways without control; now imagine that experience while sliding down 18 feet in natural rock and then falling 8 feet into a pool of water - lots of variables for things to go horribly wrong! Half of us (three of us including me) had injuries ranging from bruises to bleeding and scrapes. And the guide did not care to attend to any of us. He also strongly pressured one of our group members to go off a waterfall when she already told him that she almost drowned as a child. She also obviously had no expectation that the majority of the “hiking tour to explore El Yunque national park” was about water related adventures. In fact both herself and myself booked this tour based on TripAdvisor reviews which strangely are all exceptionally well rated and do not give any indication on the level of difficulty involved. We both agreed we would write reviews to inform future guests who are thinking about joining this type of tourI rarely write negative reviews but the reviews on tripadvisor are very misleading into thinking this is a walk or leisure hike that the average person can comfortably do. Will add a separate review for the Bioluminescence Tour with BeSpoke Lifestyle Management since the word count is limited

We did two tours. The trip to the rain forest and the tower. Lismar our tour guide was fantastic. She is friendly, knowledgeable, thoughtful, safe, and a great driver getting the bus through Old San Juan. She knows much about the plants , animals, and geology. She made the rain forest trip an enjoyable time. The second trip was the window cave and the 7 arches.Again the trip was fantastic due to the tour guide, Hector.Hector was friendly, knowledgeable, candid, professional and went out of his way to make sure we all had an enjoyable experience. The tour guides made the difference. We cannot comment on other guides but ours were the best they could be. So I’m assuming people leave the reviews depending on the guide, ours was Fernando. They were really patient and informative. We really enjoyed the full day tour trough the rain forest. I didn’t look much for prices around, but I think wasn’t that much for a tiring area, I mean come on... people have to leave on something

Avoid this company if you dont want to overpay. We booked a snorkeling trip costing $175 per person. The snorkeling itself was great, but we realized they outsource using Pure Adventure for the snorkeling. Pure Adventure only charges $70 per person so we basically paid $105 per person for a squeaky, bumpy bus ride. On top of that the bus door malfunctioned on the ride back to our hotel and I had to help the driver shut the door properly so the alarm wouldnt keep going off. If you want to go snorkeling, book with Pure Adventure directly and save yourself some money.

I was looking for a short private excursion for my husband, 2 kids and I, to do after our cruise ship returned to port in San Juan. I knew that I wanted to see El Yunque Rainforest but also needed transportation back to the airport. After looking at excursions through our cruise line and other shore excursions companies I found Bespoke Lifestyle Management. After reading the reviews and talking to Chrsitine I knew I had found a 💎Gem in the sand. I didnt plan very far ahead but luckily Bespoke was available to fit us in. The entire Tour was AMAZING!! From start to finish. Pickup at the pier was promptly and smooth. The drive to the forest was beautiful in a Luxury Black Mercedes Benz van. We got to see way more than we all imagined. Our Tour Guide was Jeysika and she is very personable and knowledgeble about the El Yunque Forest and in Puerto Rico in general. The whole time Jeysika took pictures with his Camara for us to have. She posting them in the Bespoke Facebook page at the end of the Tour. This was great because we never have photos of us all together in vacations. After the tour they dropped us off at the airport. This was our first time touring Puerto Rico and will look no further for future tours, luxury transportation or concierge services. This Bespoke Team cannt be beat!! When they mean custom and private they mean custom and private. Book early (ask for Jeysika) and I promise you will have the best time ever.

Communication is lousy. They answer emails very late, sometimes you have to ask things 3 times and sometimes they dont even answer all the questions you ask them! I wanted a specific date for a birthday, but in the end, because of the slow communication, that date was not available. The tour was fine, but it was with a supplier, so it is not 100% controlled by Bespoke. I appreciate you having come to my house for me, (and I live 2 blocks from a well-known hotel), but it doesnt repair bad communication to coordinate a tour.
