Took grandkids to basketball camp and enjoyed the oval track to get my steps in

The center is huge and filled withe various activities to do from swimming, basketball and even the option to rent one of their rooms for a party. Nice place to visit from time to time.

Very nice facilities. Used to pass by by never got an opportunity to come inside till now.Very nice health club, heard it’s very inexpensive also. Very clean and new facilities. Very well maintained. All the staff were nice and helpful. They also offer many rooms for party rentals.

The guards are great, the place is usually clean, and has a great customer service and I had an amazing experience. The guards greet me everytime and that does make my day.

Same as the Simkus Park District, we go here often. The facility is always clean and the staff is kind and professional. I have a gym membership and the facility in the gym is always clean and staff are kind as well. I encourage residents to join the gym or a class. Prices arent high and theres a large selection of classes. We even had our wrestling banquet at this location. It was spacious and clean.

Great gym, clean equipment and friendly staff. The selection of equipment is vast and versatile. The track is well kept and spacious for the environment, as well as the pool.

This is recommended, we spent a pleasant moment with family and friends, good attention, of course we will return .

I’m an early bird so I like using the pool as a work out. I would like to give a shout out to how clean the facility always is and how professional the lifeguard morning staff is. It’s always the same two young ladies and the third lifeguard changes depending on the day. The young lady with blue glasses is very polite and knowledgeable of the facility. The young Hispanic lady has a nice smile and helps me out when I need help with equipment. Thank you for the great community! :)

I don’t go here a lot but I use the pool from time to time and here’s my take on it. The facility is very nice and clean. The gym staff is constantly walking around whipping equipment. For the pool not having locker rooms is a disadvantage because when I’m there the family ones are always busy. The therapy pool water could be warmer.I like how the lifeguards put hand sanitizer when going in and out of the pool as well as they regularly walk around and clean the equipment and deck. Alex the manager was very nice to me when I asked her about pool schedules and reservations. Her lifeguards are always friendly and look like they have a hell of a blast working there even if it is 5am. Thank you for always being so kind and keeping the facility open! Heros really do work there!

Fitness area and walking track are just ok nothing special but maybe a click above your normal local park district workout place. However I have a major issue with the pool, mainly the lap pool. You pay a decent amount for this place, especially if you are not a resident of Carol Stream (Hanover Park does not have a pool). They advertise the lap swim hours are open all the time except for cleaning daily 1:00-4:00pm, and OCCASIONALLY when they have home swim meets. Which apparently is quite often. Since Jan 5th I have been turned away 3 times after I arrived to lap swim. As most of you know getting to the gym is half the battle of working out, imagine having the will to get yourself there, only to be told the pool is closed. Yesterday was the 3rd time, and after I left I went to Lifetime to look at their place, and while yes its more expensive, their pool is actually open when they say it is. Another thing it made me realize is that the pool at fountain view is really not that clean. The water at Lifetime was absolutely crystal clear, I did not realize how cloudy this place was until I saw what its supposed to look like. Also since I have been coming there has been some blue plastic bits in the deep end of lane 2. Never really thought much about it, but it makes you wonder what they do with the 3 hours they are closed for cleaning each day. If you are looking to swim daily like I was, I would say BUYER BEWARE before you drop your hard earned cash for a membership to this place. As far as I am concerned what they claim is completely false advertisement for the amount of time the pool is open for lap swimming.

The janitor Joe was very rude to me and cussed multiple times. The life guards do not help you at all. This one life guard was being very suspicious.

Phenomenal place for carol stream families. The pool is always clean and they have plenty of class options. The gym and track upstairs can get a bit cramped at times.

The facility overall is good, but some aspects have definitely got worse. My kids loved doing swim lessons and had great instructors last year. Over the summer they re-did the program to “Swim Academy”. It’s way more confusing than the previous program. Most of the old instructors left and now there’s a lot of inexperienced instructors, two of them while teaching my kid were flirting with each other the whole time, I told a lifeguard this and they redirected me to the Aquatics Manager. When I tried to get a hold of her, she would never pick up the phone (I haven’t left messages so I understand if it’s my fault...but come on, everytime I tried to call!) and go to voicemail and next week for lessons, the same thing happened with flirting and trying to contact the manager. The other instructor for my kid would constantly be late to a point where I needed to demand a new instructor, but I had 2 lessons left so I powered through and left afterwards. I used to love the lessons and how professional the staff was. The new instructors need to be retrained, there were a few older faces that I recognized who are currently lifeguards and I do want to keep coming back...but I can’t deal with the new instructors and confusing program anymore.

This is a great gym overall.It has a good amount of equipment and a motivating atmosphere. Recommended!

Fountain View Recreation centre offers so many fitness activities for all ages like yoga, swimming, zumba etc.There are almost all games tournaments. These tournaments are for all ages.Indoor swimming pool is the greatest advantage. In winter, you can continue your swimming classes. Kids can participate in swim meets.Walking track is awesome, specially in winter. Moreover, it is free during 1-4pm.

Great exercise classes.They have great classes then change them and get rid of them:( love the Saturday morning p90x at 9:25 now heard there moving it to 8:25 :( also got rid of Tuesday and Thursday evening p90x and insanity also very good classes

Great facilities with clean rooms throughout and several amenities. Staff is helpful and friendly! Swimming pool, huge gymnasium, track, weight room, lockers wheelchair accessible, meeting rooms.

Most horrible staff and worst workout facility ever. My entire family left this place about a year ago after I was THREATENED by the staff. This facility REFUSES to enforce safety rules. I was injured by someone who was doing something dangerous, and the staff told me to my face that it wasnt their problem. It was a heavy set blonde woman, I think her name was Pat, and another heavyset brown haired woman who I forgot the name of. After that day, the staff, particularly this woman Pat, treated me with such abuse and disrespect that I was uncomfortable even going to the gym. Additionally, if you are a runner, dont even go NEAR this place. You will never be able to go for a run without slow walkers all over the track, especially in the lanes designated for runners. Yet another safety hazard the staff refuses to address when it is brought to their attention. If I could give this place a 0/0 rating, I would. This place is nothing short of a nightmare.

Very pricey for the fitness center. Comparable to lifetime fitness. Also you just cant choose weight room only. You are forced to pay for the walking and the pool too. dont get me wrong its a nice facility. Its way overpriced. Especially for a Park district fitness center.

Nice facility but way too expensive! I live in Bartlett and I like to play basketball with my 7 yo son. The park district in Bartlett only has 1 time slot available where i can play with him so we go to Carol Stream from time to time to shoot hoops for 1 hour. Its 15$ for the both of us to play basketball for 1 hour. I mean cmon, thats crazy.

Its a great swimming pool to work at teaching children and adults how to swim.

The building is always clean, enough treadmills. The pool is nice and the price for membership is not bad compared to other gyms.

I love the fitness center here, modern machines, plenty of free weights, and even set-ups for power lifters and a heavy bag for boxing. I became a member through my part time employment here, and maybe Im biased in saying so, but this place has exceeded my expectations thus far!

Nice facility

Went here for a birthday party. My kids clothes were ruined after the projects they had them do. There was a basketball tournament the same day so the place smelled like Lebron James jockstrap. We also went to the swim classes there and the service was horrible and the teachers seem like they are only doing it because their high school makes them do a community activity.

Great facilities without big crowds. I stopped going to LifeTime because they were too expensive but was pleasantly surprised to find that Fountain View also offers free group fitness classes (though Ive yet to take them up on it) and has an indoor track. They dont have as much weight-lifting equipment (in terms of free-weights and barbells) as some other gyms, but they do have lots of machines and the treadmills and bikes all have a fantastic view out their large windows. Staff is friendly and showers are clean.

I do not recommend...For members: the sauna does not work, there are no clean towels.For residents but non-members:dirty floor in the shower and changing room, dirty washbasins, dirty toilets and closets. in the shower torn curtains and no soap. I do not recommend...

They have really good instructors here for their classes. Love their zumba and yogilates class. The gym is always clean and they have fun incentive programs to help motivate you. I switched from lifetime and Im happy here.

Very nice facilities, and well maintained. There is a swimming pool, basketball court, volleyball court, and elevated walking track. The staff were courteous and professional.

Very nice amenities, but its not already not taken care of properly (missing/broken things, dirty) so Im worried it wont be nice for long. Parking is also a bit of an issue as rude parents park their giant minivans in the electric car spots and/or idle directly in front of the no idle zone and nothing is ever done about it.

We attend a church that meets here on Sundays at 11 - Village Church East. If you are looking for a friendly, intimate worship experience I highly recommend it!

Not the cheapest fit was center in the area, but the membership provides access to the gym and the pool. Staff are friendly, facilities are clean, and the amount of access to equipment and classes is very good. Only downsides are the closing hours.

Clean and beautiful architecture. Amazing and easily accesible facilities.

The front desk desk keeps giving us incorrect information which makes us come there for no reason and wastes our time. Wish the place was as good as the reviews said it was.

Its nice and clean but the weight lifting area is pretty small and they only have one power rack (which almost no one uses) but it has what I need. The rest of the center makes up for the mediocre weightlifting area though, sauna room is pretty big
