I have been going the the Grease Monkey location in Carol Stream for my oil changes for several years. I have never had a bad experience there. They are honest and dont pressure you into purchasing items or services you dont want. They even give a really substantial discount for people who work in the medical field. I called Grease Monkey to see if they had the filters for an Audi. The Manager Majeed was very helpful in making sure he could get the right filter, which he was able to do. The rest of the team did a great job (Nick,Trent, Chuck and Kelly ). Professional and efficient. The best part was a nice discount for health care workers which he applied. So much better then going to the dealership!

Super fast service. In and out within guaranteed 30 minutes. Checked my air filters, didn’t pressure me to buy. Tested my battery which tested good. I was surprised they didn’t try to sell me anything and everything like the usual quick lube. They also checked my tires and washed my windows! Cool bonus! Just wound up just getting an oil change and they also checked my engine light for me. Super friendly crew. Very picky who does what to my truck. These guys wont forget to put an oil filter on. Or say you need stuff. When you dont .Very helpful guys and girls. And for the Karens that are complaining about waiting a half hr... go do it yourself. Your not in that much of a rush you cant with 35 mins for an oil change.

I had been these place since lube parts, Back in those days.Former Owner and his son team are so honest and professional. They took care my cars for several years with no complaints. Grase Monney about 6 or 7 years ago, the service has been declined since then.I came back once in while oil change, to check the service, no improvement until last 6 months ago. Their service back to as when I started, Their staff Nick and Messea is the best. I feel like I am back to Lube Part years, where owner John and his son treat customers like their family. Yes !! We will be back as your normal customers.

I came here over the weekend for an oil change. Timing was fine and they were nice. The took out some of my filters and advised me I needed new ones and they would be 27-30 a piece (I do not remember the exact amount) I told him no thank you and that I would be able to get my mechanic to do that much cheaper. He followed with the price is good and about what you are going to pay in a store for a filter. He told me i needed a cabin filter and air filter, he had both of mine to show me. Asked if I was using a coupon today and said no and he offered me one for 10 IF I got the filters from them. I still declined. You can get cabin and air filters between 10-15 online. I understand this is part of the checking that they do along with the lights and tires and top of fluids ect. BUT he then asked me if he should just throw away my cabin filter. I said no please put it back. He said it is doing nothing right now (which may be true I am no car expert) I repeated again I wanted it put back. He pretty much told me no so it was basically get one from us or you wont have one in your car. I did not get one. If you took something out of my car and asked me to replace it and I say no you should be putting it back in my car like I asked. I have only been to this location twice as it is on my way home from work. I will not be coming back here. If i wanted things taken out of my car and not replaced I would probably just do that myself. Not super happy

This place is much better than others Ive been too. As a female the employees at most oil changes will try and upsell you. It didnt happen here which was so refreshing and the process only took about fifteen minutes. I will definitely be going back because the service was quick and easy.

If I could give them a - 0I most definitely would I went in for an oil change and was charged $61.30 they did not check anything on my car and state that they did I stood there and I get oil changes on my car it Merlin and pays $35 village garage in Glen Ellyn charges me the same I have a stack of receipts for the same service and they top off my washer fluid and no extra charge air up my tires people watch out these people at Grease monkey are thieves

Jonathan at Grease Monkey did a great job on my vans brakes. He was very accommodating in squeezing in my appointment first thing in the morning before I had to go into work. He personally picked up my parts at the store, dropped me off at Carols Garden so I could get breakfast while I waited and finished under the time frame he gave me. Hes very proud and passionate about his garage. I would highly recommend it for fast, reliable work.

I have been here three for four times. And have brought in both of my vehicles. Gotten great service everytime. Good explanation of oils and services offered as well. Place is always busy, that should show that they have a lot of repeat customers.

I have updated my review and have worked with grease monkey region manager. He has been helpful to look into the matter. The company put synthetic at one point and notes made them continuously do it. It was a misunderstanding and they have resolved the situation Just make sure you check you bill. My parents did not. The manager was quick to resolve the matter and was helpful.

Great people and there honest. They helped me out with my plate lights and didnt charge me a crazy price like 90% of other places would. I highly recommend this place.

I was initially disappointed in the service I had received after realizing 2 months later my drain plug gasket was never replaced resulting in an oil leak on my underbody shield and driveway. After posting my concerns on google, Jason, reached out to me to resolve the issue in a professional manner. My services were compensated and the issue was resolved. I am willing to give them another shot in the future, I will just have a closer eye to the service performed

I take my ancient (1996) Camry here as well as my newer GMC Acadia and never had any issues. Shop is tidy, staff is courteous, prices are fair. There is always a coupon on their web site.You get the normal oil-change up-sell on additional features, but absolutely not high-pressure or guilt-inducing. Waiting area isnt anything special, but you wont be there long. I appreciate that if there is a line, they come out to greet you and give you a guess as to how long it will be, as occasionally one bay is being used for a longer repair.

Honest, dependable staff. I trust them with most of my automotive needs. Mike runs a good shop; we miss seeing him since his promotion.

Been going since they opened and this was my worst experience. Took 38 minutes for an oil change. Complained about how long it took and tried to use a competitors coupon and was told they didn’t accept them. I said that they had all of my previous visits which was a lot. I then stated that I would no longer come back. The person taking care of me then asked me to not complain and when I brought up how long it took, he stated that he would be the adult and not respond. They did take money off for how long it took but no apology. For the amount they charge with all of the extras, oil and filter and not taking coupons, they are not a value and with the slow service, they were not crowded, I will go elsewhere. They don’t even deserve the one star.

They did not replace the bolts under my car after they changed my oil, the cover dropped down while I was driving on the highway!! Unprofessional!

I was pleasantly surprised by the professionalism of the employees at Grease Monkey. I stopped by to get a routine oil change and learned that my brake pads were getting close to needing to be replaced. The difference with this place and why Ill continue going back was that Johnathon, one of their mechanics, didnt pressure me into fixing unnecessary things, like most other places are trained to do. He simply informed me of what he would do and let me make a decision myself. Would definitely reccomend this place.

If I could give zero stars I would. I stopped on a weeknight at a few minutes after 5. There was one car in front of me. A tech came out told me it was a 45 minute wait and due to the time I might not get in. As I was leaving 2 cars pulled in and they pulled forward. So I called apparently got manager got a half baked apology no offer to come back or be comped for my inconvenience. Would be afraid now my service would be bad because they dont want to be bothered. Clue management keep that customer service and you loose more than me.. I certainly wont Ever go nack.

Waited 45 minutes and still had another car ahead of me, I had to leave, guys standing around inside talking while people waited. Three other cars behind me also left while waiting. No urgency to take care of customers.
