My older Subaru and I moved to the area in October and lets just say my little old lady has started to show her age. My partner and I are pretty handy so we generally handle our car repairs and havent needed a mechanic until now.That being said, my car started having a mysterious coolant issue that my partner and I were unable to troubleshoot any further. He couldnt recommend any mechanics in the area, having always done his own work, so I got started researching via online reviews. I called about 10 shops, some of whom referred me to a Subaru dealership, others wouldnt even listen to the symptoms we had detected and diagnostics we had tried wanting to charge about $130/hour just to start looking at the car, still others were gruff and impersonal and half listened.When I called Noltes Auto Repair Mark was very personable, patiently listened to my story, outlined next steps so that I could know as much about the process as possible, and gave ballpark estimates for every step of the process. He listened, didnt scoff at our amateur mechanic activity, was patient, and made me feel pretty darned comfortable.I dropped my car off for diagnostic work in the morning and received a call back around lunchtime. One of two diagnostic tests was performed, a problem discovered, the issue repaired, and Mark indicated that right now we will have to see if that takes care of the issue. He said we wouldnt move onto the next diagnostic test unless there was a reason. Imagine that, a mechanic NOT trying to tack on extra tests, repairs, etc.!Hopefully what theyve done has fixed the issue so I cant report back about quality of work so far. Even if it doesnt, the issue is known to be complicated so I cant fault them.Overall, extremely pleased with this mechanic and I will definitely return.

I came to Nolte’s based off the amazing reviews and they are all 100% correct in every way. The customer service was superb. Mark kept me in the loop all throughout the day. I never had to call them myself to get an update, a minor detail that goes a LONG way. Over the past several months I have brought three of my cars and my mothers car in for service at Noltes. Each and every time we have received excellent service at pretty reasonable prices. I feel that Mark is honest in his assessment of the work required and he is a pleasure to deal with.

Ive been taking my cars to Noltes for 10 years. I only buy used cars, so a competent, honest, and fairly priced mechanic is a necessity for me. I have my routine maintenance done at Noltes,and on the receipt, they keep you informed of upcoming preventative maintenance, and of any parts that may need attention in the future. They dont quote you a low price, to get you to commit to a repair, so they can hit you with an expensive surprise later. But if you are a regular customer, you wont be surprised by major breakdowns, because they will have alerted you far in advance, that a part is starting to fail. I find this very helpful, because it allows you to plan for the cost, and make arrangements for alternate transportation while the repair is being done.Its a family business, and everyone on the staff is very friendly and courteous. They go out of their way to accommodate their customers. I am very happy with the service they provide. They have never let me down or disappointed me. I have recommended Noltes to friends and family, and each one thanked me for the recommendation.

Been taking my cars to Don for the past 25 years. We have two vehicles over 14 years old each and both are running great. Nice not to have a car payment. The key here is that I trust Don and he has not only been informative, but also completely honest with me, even to the point of telling me on several occasions not to do a repair yet because it was not necessary. I took three company cars to Noltes. All of the vehicles get rough use by the employees driving them. The repairs needed were beyond normal maintenance and all of the work done was exceptional. When I got the vehicles back they all ran and handled like new. This is the only location to trust your vehicles too. This is especially true for business and fleet owners. In addition the cost of the repairs was very reasonable in comparison to estimates received from other shops.

After we picked up our car we noticed that the steering wheel wasnt leveled, things were taken out from cubby and left. Nothing works well. When Dan was there we were always satisfied

I typically have a machanic that does my work at my house. Very reasonable. But my personal machanic was booked for 3 weeks straght so i decided to bring my car to mark. Wow . he is the best . he told me what i did and didnt need to do to my car. Didnt presure anything at all. I had a bad wheel bearing and he fixed it in a few hours . rides super smooth now. Ive been around the block a couple times with bad machanic shops. This is def not one of them. Best shop around no joke. Mark is very smart.

Had my 204 BMW M3 leaking coolant. I was able to make an appointment the next day at a convenient time. Took my car in expecting the worst, turned out to be a loose hose clamp. I have been going to Don Nolte since 1989. He is fair, honest, and a real pleasure with whom to work. In the one case, over 24 years, where there was a problem, Don took taken care of it. Without a struggle, without a fight. He keeps a clean shop, runs a tight ship and always has a smile on his face. Ive owned Ford, Toyota, Infinity, Dodge, Mercury, makes and Dons never had a problem working on any of them.For many years, I would call, drop the keys in the slot, and leave the car and pick it up the next night or later in the week, picking it long after he closed. Ive never had a problem in the all the years of doing that.I drive long distances with the family, and I tell Don so that he knows how I use my vehicles and the type of driving I do. He takes that into consideration as we maintenance or tire options.Finally, Don has kept me from making a bad vehicle purchase or two.
