I wish I didn’t feel the need to leave a negative review because all business deserve a chance to work out an issue free of public criticism, however after several attempts to resolve with them I’m left with no choice. We were charged $45 for a late cancellation that was actually at our therapists request. I have the email from the evening prior where she asked if we could move it from Monday to Tuesday. Simple error that should have been easily fixable. I called the office and got referred to their billing. I spoke to a woman there and explained the situation. She said the owner was strict with fees so she would personally contact him to explain and get back to me. She never did. I emailed her twice before she finally responded and told me he was unwilling to adjust the fee. I then attempted to call the office 3x leaving respectful messages that I needed a call back to resolve the charge and had email proof that we didn’t cancel and NEVER got a call back. We gave up and just took the hit on the charge. This is a therapist who should be exceptional at communication and literally his solution is to ignore a client over a simple error and small charge. 100% do not recommend.

Both of my boys went here for therapy. We had a great therapist named Randy whom both of my boys felt very comfortable with. We recently came back to this office to start therapy with Randy. The last time I saw Randy he stated the he had no appointments that day and would need to schedule a new appointment. I was very confused because we had been corresponding by text and had agreed on that appointment date and time. I still have the email from him confirming that information. I called and left several messages for Randy to call me so we could set up a new appointment. HE NEVER CALLED BACK.....AND TO THIS DAY STILL HASNT. I was lucky to find a new therapist for my child. Apparently,Randy felt as if we werent worth spending his time on. We also had billing issues but that is a whole other story. Dealing with Dr. Baume was a joke. He never spoke, smiled or even acknowledged us. I guess we werent good enough for him to even waste his time on myself or my family. To this day I still have not received a.call from Randy,my boys therapist. People wonder why their is such an issue with mental health. The answer is simple. People just dont care anymore.I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GROUP OF THERAPISTS. They really just have an IDGF attitude.

Sad to be leaving a negative review as Samantha Wright is amazing to work with but this office is unprofessional and frustrating to work with. I asked when I first called if they could give me information about billing to my insurance. I never received any bills until I had attended 6 visits. I just got billed 6 months after the fact for my initial consultation. Nobody wants to receive a $245 bill in the mail that has been compiling for 6 months. The lady at the front desk spends more time watching television on her phone than helping anyone out. She accused me of having not paid a bill that I had just paid days before and attempted to double charge me for it. I wont return to this practice.

I see Jennifer Herschberger and I love her. She is compassionate, kind and very easy to talk to. I would highly recommend (and have) her to anyone looking for someone understanding, engaging and helpful!

We asked them every time When we used their service: how much we’re going to pay? They said every time that they will bill our insurance and our insurance covers the service. They did not bill us till we had 8 visits. We where under the impression that it’s covered. It turned that there service billing is under deductible and we got charged $145 an hour. without insurance on their website they charge 102 dollars per hour. At the end we will end paying around $1200. I believe that they intentionally delayed the billing. Be careful make sure that you pay one visit per one, and you are ready to $145.

I highly recommend Baume Psychological Services, P.C. This office is very nice and comfortable. Since day one, I have received the most professional service and care. I appreciate the flexibility in scheduling and the fact that my counselor takes the time to schedule our sessions, personally. While its important for counselors/therapists and clients to be the right fit, its not always an easy task to accomplish the fit part. My experience has been the perfect fit with my counselor. The reception/front desk is very friendly and pays attention to details when working with me, as well. Im so glad that I found an office that could help me, when I needed it most.

Throughout numerous sessions, Dr. Baume has been nothing but helpful, patient, and extremely generous with his time. He has equipped me with numerous tools and I honestly sometimes feel like hes provided me with a book of cheat codes for my child. While the hard work still has to take place on our own time, Dr. Baume is fantastic at giving us goals to work toward and showing us examples of how to achieve those goals. Cannot recommend enough.

I would not recommend this office to anyone. My 5 year old son was seen by one of the social workers that had very little experience and did not know how to talk to small children. It seems that we were added to her schedule because she wasn’t busy at all. We were scheduled immediately and seen I believe the next day. After a few sessions, I quickly realized this therapist was not right for us. When I called to voice my concerns and switch to a therapist better suited for my son, Dr. Baume said he could not help us. Really? You’re turning away people that need your help? I really hope this isn’t happening to other people. We ended up going to another office that was very responsive and very willing to help us. Now my son has the help he needs.

Id give a this office a negative rating, if I could. I cancelled an appointment in January 2015 and was charged a late cancel fee. However I spoke to someone in the office and explained the therapist wasnt working for my son and we wouldnt be back. They said they would adjust the fee. Then much to my surprise, 2.5 years later I was sent to collections for a $35 fee. Collections! I called and was told by the office there was nothing they could do. In a service industry, you should provide good service. This office doesnt do that.

I took my 9 year old son for an intake and because there is currently active court due to his father wanting to lower child support they did not want to see him and said they would refer us to practices who can handle higher conflict. I was shocked. He was very comfortable there and excited to see her for therapy. Last night I had to tell him he cant go and he was near tears. Hes had a tough few years and it was another blow. What is therapy for if not to be an outlet while dealing with conflict? Shame on them.

I would never recommend this office. Baum Psychological has great therapists; however, the front office is a nightmare. I had multiple issues with billing. Whenever I would call the front office to discuss my issues, it was extremely difficult to get a hold of anyone. I left voicemails multiple times, and wouldn’t receive a call back until over a week later. Overall; externally frustrated.

The counselor for my 7 year old didnt know some basic terms likes transitions which is a common struggle for children with ADD. That was a big flag but decided try a second week. When he got upset at the office and was crying loudly, I pulled him out of the session and said I was taking him home. We headed for the back door. The owner told me if my son was going to be upset, he couldnt go there. Well, if he didnt get upset about things, he wouldnt NEED to go there. So if your kid actually needs behavioral help, they cant help you? Pointless waste of time.

No, I wouldn’t recommend this service to anyone. The counselor I had just listened and had no input. I’m on the spectrum so I’ve been to a few counseling services, so this wasn’t a first time therapy session for me.I told my counselor that my dad was autistic and she said something like, “ how could he be, they didn’t have that back then.” He was diagnosed at a Mayo Clinic in 1944. I’m not going to debate a fact with someone who isn’t knowegable, has no idea what they are talking about. There’s more negative stuff I can add but I’ll just say, skip it.

I have a long list of issues pertaining to Derek Baume himself as well as one of his ‘Independent Licensed Contractors’ as he likes to call them, also known as a therapist. I requested copies of my files from the one session I was unfortunate enough to attend with Jennifer Hershberger. I was appalled at what I read. My intake forms were filled with disgusting lies, falsified information, Jennifer’s tacky and distasteful opinions on myself, as well as information regarding topics which were never even discussed or mentioned. When I contacted the owner of the company to express my level of hurt, confusion, and request for answers, Derek was every bit of rude and dismissive. Derek was the least bit concerned with resolution to any of my issues and told me to file a complaint with the Attorney Generals Office. Which I might add was immediately done per request by Derek himself. Insurance fraud is also an issue at hand that is being dealt with accordingly. My God people, from the bottom of my heart, If you respect yourself and take mental health seriously, I urge you to seek care, guidance, and compassion from qualified individuals elsewhere who can offer you personalized treatment plans with success!

Horrible. I had to cancel my appointment last minute and was basically told theres no way I can schedule another appointment. The reason was because the wait list was too long. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.
