I am not one to write reviews but the service that I received here today was appalling. On 6/11/21 I went into Pearl Nails to receive acrylic nail removal and a new set. Standard procedure to remove acrylics is to file them down and then soak them off in acetone. Instead, the nail tech that I had ripped them off with pliers, using another nail tip to assist in prying them loose. The first nail she removed was my pinky and she removed it so roughly that it ripped a hole through my real nail down to the skin that made me bleed. I then requested that they be soaked off, to which her reply was that they were coming off just fine by ripping them off. This was extremely painful and she would not stop using the pliers after multiple requests. My real nails are now destroyed and she told me to put strengthener on them. I have been getting acrylics for years and have never experienced removal or damage to my real nails in the way that I received today. I am now worried that my pinky that is bleeding is going to be infected, as it has not stopped oozing or burning since she ripped off both my acrylic and real nail. I thought this was going to be my new nail spot as I liked the full set I received a few weeks prior, but no one should go here after seeing the negligence performed today. A client should not leave the nail salon crying, bleeding and in pain with their skin exposed where the center of the nail used to be.

I try to be respectful , Respect people’s hustles etc . But this was too bogus that It would be almost rude If I didnt caution people .This place has put me off going to nail salons period ( It shouldn’t though- There are salons with staff That are so Well mannered & pleasant ) - This woman chose to start an actual scene unprovoked ( She interpreted a simple interaction very oddly ) , No one was out to get her, I haven’t witnessed such hostility in a nail salon before . She tries to deter you / Put you offIf you voice to her You are not satisfied With her service ( Should be a standard, civil interaction , Especially When pricing Is that high ) She yells at you In a hostile , defensive manner , Says if you give her an additional $20 she can do it , And then strangely threatens to call police on you ( Yep I know ) If you dont want to pay an additional $20 to get it resolved ( Strange to threaten police considering she was the person who escalated said interaction … Not myself ) I paid $57 Usd to get Rushed through gel manicureDidnt have capacity for such bogus interaction so I didnt get to change color which I wasn’t pleased with , Wasn’t going to pay $77 … It was already $57 …I wasn’t going to get hustled .And what should take 1 hour, is Rushed through , So it takes 15 minutes insteadShe also thinned my nails out far too much, Cut the extensions before I had the chance to say I wanted square not ovalAnd burnt my nails with the UV it was too strongHer 1st reaction to light criticism ( I want to change colors , They didn’t turn out great ) Was to raise her voice , Yell at her client , And not stop after I had said Pls stop that conduct ?I told the woman at front desk when I was dissatisfied . She told the woman who did this manicure what I was feeling before I got any chance to speak to her . Woman who did Mani, Reacted terribly also mentioning that 1st woman said that I was threatening to not pay ( It was another language so I didn’t hear what was said ) - Whack . They insinuated I wasn’t going to pay ? So I responded saying I didnt ever say I wasn’t going to pay.. I was just voicing that I wasn’t satisfied ! What a crime !Was practically the only person At the salon aside from 2 women, One of which felt the urge to involve herself And had a Delusional , Ignorant attitude … It was unsolicited and rude.She said ‘ This is what she does for a living’ Sooo she has an Appalling attitude for a living?How do you say that when I literally chose this woman ( Mimi, manager) to do this service which I didn’t have to . I paid Mimi alot ; I only got Xtra Short tipped gel nails with 1 or 2 coats of polish … Not crazy for such a high price at a standard salon$60 which was overpriced for what I received. I paid this woman ‘Mimi’ $ 60 Usd ( $60 is a lot )Hoping I could receive at least some sort of quality . I paid a lot for this service. If you pay $$ at a place that shouldn’t charge so much, You can voice that you aren’t totally pleasedTheyd rather start an unpleasant exchange with you instead of helping you out. I wasn’t inconveniencing her, They were overstaffed , Salon had next to no clients .Plus I paid premium pricing so I could receive At the very least, Service that wasn’t dishonest, ingenuine, & Intimidating

Came here one time about a week ago. I asked for a pink and white ombré. She suggested powder and I agreed. She over charged me as compared to her online menu pricing. Not even a week later the nails are lifting, cracking and chipping from simply typing. I’ve lost 4 nails areadly and the rest following.

Overpriced pedicures..poor service, the polish was dripping and so thick.. Tried to explain to lady but she didnt understand..Communication issues the pedicure lady did not know 1 word of English, they may hire people who are not licensed? Went back for a repolish and was told NO we dont do that. I just spent $ 40 plus tip and they Refuse to repolish up there poor quality work..I Do Not Recommend this Salon!

Made an appointment for two manicures and pedicures. Waited 30 minutes, which I know can happen but seems a bit much when you have an appointment. Nails- didnt clean underneath and not filed or cut evenly. Toes- paint doesnt go to edges, and theres a film or residue that makes the nails partly shiney and matte on the same toe. Overall I could have done it myself. It felt very rushed and they seemed overwhelmed the whole time. It was also very loud inside and not a relaxing experience worth $140...Wont be going back.

I asked for square with rounded sides natural nail and had a photo to show and got this and I kept telling her the color didn’t match but she was only giving me two pink options and when she was fixing the shape it was making it uneven and worse and wasn’t even the shape I wanted I just wanted to leave then went to get it fixed somewhere else I would give zero stars if that was possible

I came here asking specifically for a 30 dollar pedicure which she had showen me on the menu they have and at the end she said she charged me 60 dollars theyre a language barrier definetly they didnt understand and she was screaming very ghetto to pay her 60 dollars just for a pedicure I had asked to get the 30 dollar regular pedicure wouldnt recommend at all .

Lovely ladies that work here! I feel so bad, because I cant recall her name, but shes a thin young woman with blondish long hair. She had such gentle hands and (this was my first time ever in my life doing my nails) it was very nice. Love the way they turned out. Im still learning how to type with them, but Ive received a lot of compliments. And I got my lashes extended. The overall cost was close to 150-- I gave them a big tip as a thank you. Im still getting used to the eye lashes as well, but I feel fabulous. The ladies are sweet and accommodating. The atmosphere is fantastic, and I met a lot of other customers who drive over an hour just to come here.Love this place. Will start making it a routine to get my nails done here. Thank you, ladies!

Mimi is the s#*t. I refuse to go anywhere else to get my nail or toes done. They are simply the best. Color selection is amazing for regular, gel and dip - but their dip is next level. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. reasonably priced, too and FAST.

First time coming here. My gel nails chipped after a few days of getting them done. Place is clean and relaxing and the people are nice but the quality of the gel is bad or either that, the lady didn’t do a good job

The quality of service has declined to the point where it looks like a child did my nails. The employee couldnt fix it but the manager can? Ridiculous. Ypu have signs all over your shop NO DOUBLE DIPPING, and yet that is exactly what happened. Tired of not being given the service I pay for and being charged full price for your mess ups

So I had a pedicure and manicure done here. Pedicure is very good, except she did keep trying to upsell the entire time. But this SNS powdet manicure is awful. Those are my nails about 6 hours later, absolutely no cleaningor work done on the cuticleor nail bed. She complained the whole time how I didnt want to do acrylics and how my nails were so short (in both English and her native language). The SNS is rough towards the beds of mg nails and the edges were still rough I needed to refile them. Pretty upset as Ive been going there for a while and their services have gone downhill.

Mimi does Great Job. If you want to have natural and less dryness on your skin and around nails try the dip and last long, try it. If you want to go with her you sometimes need make an appointment.When I go in get my nails done before i leave make another appointment within 2 1/2-3weeks depends your nails. Here is one of my nails.FYI: I always get natural (rarely get color or french or american) and short.Mary - ? : does great job on pedicure. They take your time on your feet. I always get sleep on my feet.

I go in to get a fill and yes my nails are long but $78 for a fill and one broken nail..$40 for fill $20 for the length and $8 for a nail ...NEVER HAVE I PAYED THIS AMOUNT! Enjoy the money I won’t be back also my friend had short nails and she payed $40 = $32 for fill and $8 for 4 broken nails? Be fair and don’t Try to rip people off !

The nail techs here listen to you and what you want. I am particular because I work with my hands and have had a few bad experiences elsewhere. Its nice to know I can trust them!

I have been going here for over 2 years and Mimi is excellent. She always does my nails and they last 3 weeks. I don’t know why anyone would post anything negative about her because she is amazing, sweet and very polite. Plus she knows what she is doing really well. Love her!!!!!!

Pretty much all of the nail technicians here are good. They offer dip nails which is a healthy alternative to acrylic. They have many colors to choose from however I have had a few times where they didn’t have the color. Just because they are so busy all the time. Great spa pedicures too.

The pictures honestly dont do it Justice they were nice and greeted me as soon as I walked in, they got the nail shape perfect on the 1st try without me having to describe it, they didnt do my nails too thick or too thin so that they break too easily. This place is amazing but my nail technician Demi really worked magic.

The shop was very busy and the girls were very professional and courteous. The leg massage and sea salts and mango lotion was wonderful. The only complaint was that I need a lot of work on softening my feet and their callus remover system left a little to be desired.

The ladies were nice and understood my time crunch. Tons of dip colors, and they are very clean.

Came here on vacation from Colorado, called 20 minutes before on a Saturday and came around 11:00 a.m. Ladies were nice, spoke a lot of their language rather than English, not a problem though. In and out in around an hour for my mom and I to get Dip Nails and a pedicure. Both sets and massages ended up around $240. Very relaxing even though they were packed.

Mimi salon manager/Owner She doesn’t even deserve one star rating!MIMI not everyone needs/like acrylic nails ordeep-in HONEY! some people have strong nails you can not force people to do what you want them to do! You need to learn to listen to customer and do what they’re asking you to do HONEY! I have been given you many chances but today (Monday morning) when I came in the technician who does excellent job every time for me (for past two years) wasn’t busy you told her not to take me because I only needed regular manicure!I will not spend a penny in your salon anymore you don’t deserve to have royal customer HONEY!!!

Absolutely loved my visit here! This was my first visit and will not be my last. I was seen in a timely manner, even though they were extremely busy. I was greeted with enthusiasm upon walking in. My nails turned out beautiful! I asked for them to be rounded, (which is usually not done correctly or to my standards) they were perfect! I left happy and am still happy with how well they turned out.

I LOVED my nails. I got a French Tip Fade in dip powder. My sister got a Nude in dip powder also. Both of us also got our toes done. I LOVED the the nail technicians. I got Hana she is AWESOME!! My sister got Emily she is also AMAZING!! I am totally going here always!!!!!

Came from out of town. Was able to make a last minute pedicure appointment but it definitely was not worth it. The tech did not speak to any of us. Was not the best pedicure. Talked with only one another as if we were not there. Polish chipped within 3 days. Definitely will not return or recommend.

Usually this place is great, if you get the right person. I have been going here for about a year and had a lovely girl named Samantha who was great. It’s been about 3 months since I have been as I was giving my nails a break from gel. I was talked into doing the dip, as it’s not as damaging. That may be the case, but the girl that did it was in such a hurry that she didn’t clean the overflow under my nails and it was full of powder and my fingers were stuck to my nails. Also both her and the woman that did my pedicure kept arguing with me abou the colors. I got tired of arguing with them and agreed to the colors they suggested. My polish on my pedicure was messed up when she put my flip flop on and she fixed it after I pointed it out, but it looks terrible. It wasn’t a relaxing experience as they argued with me about everything I wanted and did what they wanted. Very disappointed. Won’t go back.

Ive been going here for years! I specifically ask for Emily or Tracy. I started with acrylics but now I do sns powder. My nails always look good from here, friends and family comment on how well my hands and feet always look. Id recommend an appointment, they can get super busy! (:

Just tried this without looking at reviews trying to find a new place close by since I moved here and this place and Kay were great. I had a gel manicure, she was fast and did a great job. The place is clean and bright, lots of manicurist, will definitely be back.

The best Powder Dipped Nails technology, and they last 3 to 4 weeks!!

They are fast and efficient! For acrylics they offer gel Polish on top to make it even faster. I can always get in last minute without an appointment. Pedicure chairs are really nice and they take credit card too!

Very friendly! I had come in with no notice first time visiting they were accommodating and fast, I was on crutches 4 weeks after leg surgery and Diem or Diane was very attentive and gentle. Even though my foot was gross from the cast it was nice that the staff did not talk in their language to make me feel nervous she spoke English the whole time.

The first few times I came here my nails were great. But that last few which I initially thought was a fluke has turned into the norm. My nails looked like a child did them. I said something numerous times and the lady must not of understood me because she kept saying yes, with out doing what I asked. My nails were filled sooooo thin which isnt necessary, that month later my nails are still breaking. Please do a good job consistantly not just on the people you like.

I was going to another nail salon in Oceanside for years, they just got so rude and I felt like they didnt want to help. Then I found another place by my work in Oceanside, I only went three times, my nails were lifting and the polish was dull. I called Pearl Nails in Carlsbad and made an appointment, Tracy was awesome. She was so nice and took her time, she had matte polish which I had been wanting. I have found a new nail place and nail girl. Clean place and friendly smiles.

My initial rating was going to be five stars but after my last few appointments I am dropping my rating and will no longer be coming here. I make appointments because I work Monday-Friday and dont have time to go in on the weekends. Kathy has been doing my nails for the last year and Ive always been happy with her work. However, today will be the last appointment here. I end up having to wait a minimum of 15-25 minutes almost every time. Im sure its the owner pushing the technicians to take walk-ins but it shows that MY time is not valuable. Ive been an esthetician and have worked in the spa industry for over 7 years and that is not how you should run a business.

Expensive for what it is. My nail was crooked she hurt a couple times definitely not coming back

This place is incredibly unorganized, there seems to be no rime or reason to who is supposed to be working on who. Went in with a friend who had an appointment, the tech was still working on someone else until 20 minutes after the appointment time. Then, in the middle of working on her nails, the techs previous customer comes back and the tech leaves for 10 minutes to fix her last customers nails. All the while there are 2 other techs sitting not doing anything.

I went there just to get my acrylics removed, and simply asked the girl to be gentle with 1 nail because it was tender since I had jammed it earlier that day. She took over 30 mins to get ONE NAIL off, and then shouted something and quickly got up and ran away, muttering something to me and she left. The woman next to her who was helping my friend had to explain FOR her that I was stressing her out??? I was just talking to my friend the entire time and only winced in pain once when she tried ripping off that one sensitive nail. Not to mention, she did not seem to know what she was doing AT ALL, as it hurt every time she touched any nail and she couldnt seem to get any off. Id give this place a ONE star, but the woman who helped my friend was able to hop over 10 mins after Lady1 stormed off and took my nails off quickly and painlessly. Left a tip for Lady2.

Had a horrible and traumatic experience, went back they did refund me my money , excuse was lady didn’t understand English I beg to differ she understood fine when she was rude. Maybe don’t have the ones that don’t “speak” English do acrylic nails . Never going back . Would not recommend.

Had to come here as I was pressed for time. The atmosphere is loud and not relaxing. My powder dip manicure is lumpy and my hair gets caught under the powder dip on the cuticle side. Not pleasant but they were able to do my nails in a pinch.

I just called to this place about make an for me and my mom ,the lady that answered the phone was so rude to me. Saying that she didnt have anything available for 2 days for two pedicures because i asked for someone else, that one of my friend referred me. I think that whenever answered the phone i got upset. I told her that i would like hanna do my mom nails and she said that everyone was good not just Hanna . Dont call them to ask for you prefer person they will get upset.

Good service and they mostly always have someone available but I didnt like the powder option. Its only my opinion though.

My initial rating was 5 stars, but after seriously contemplating my last 2 experiences that initial rating is GONE!!!! The second to last experience, the lady doing my mani and pedi was charming... as im sure theyre trained to be. The constant fishing for compliments and insisting that everything is great, right?! Started to wear me out. Yet, I tolerated it. I allowed her to talk me into a $5 extra service that did not last past the day (buffing nail finish for a natural shine). Yeah, that wore off quickly and I had to add the clear coat myself at home the next day.... Which, by the way, I asked her to do on top of the buff, and she told me NO. That appointment was draining, to say the least!The last visit, I simply asked for a mani and toe polish change. OMG the YOUNG lady who apparently was running the shop eagerly said shed service me. I had never felt so rushed and truly disregarded!! Between her answering the phones, greeting or yelling, rather, at customers coming through the door, and talking to her co-workers every 5 seconds in their native tongue, she managed to give me a less than half done mani and polish change.The latter, which was not properly done because (and get this) the lady from the last visit (Miss Overachiever) didnt do her due diligence; and probably because she was more focused on selling and force feeding satisfaction than she was servicing. Well, she either did not add a base coat or did something else wrong, let the young lady tell it... because it caused the teal color I picked prior to stain my toenails. She had much to say about that horrible paint job until she realized I got it done at HER SHOP just a week before! Then she hushed herself quickly and began to speak on how strong and beautiful my nails are 🤨😒. I said, yes I know, I take good care of them, giving her the side eye.This all resulted in hot pink nails (my new color pick) with a dark green smudged skin boarder and undertone tinted nail bed. It was gross and very unappealing!! And, she was really about to let me walk out like that, telling me a SHOWER would remove the existing green smdh- maybe from the skin on the side but what about the dark green she didnt remove that is under this HOT PINK??!! Not to mention she never took my sandals off and kept getting acetone on those... I KEPT saying be careful please, well the acetone smudged the soft brown leather inside and on trim of my new shoes 😑😐. I wasnt happy!! And, it showed!!My first two experiences were great and I wish I had remembered their names but the last two visits.... naw Im good on this shop! I paid for my nails but not my toes and she probably subtracted the polish change because I started complaining about my sandals which were turning white on the inside. I dont complain EVER, I smile even when unhappy 85% of the day... but that day had me on something brand new and I wasnt having it!! Guess thats where the other 15% went 😡.Very unprofessional. Too busy shipping us in and out too quickly and all for money! Quantity over quality! Youll Lose more customers than you gain with that ethic, trust!!

SO SO BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE don’t waste your money and your time ....And is not the first timeFirst time I forgot my wallet on my car and they thought I wasn’t gonna pay and one of the lady’s send me to get my wallet on my car without shoes that was sooo rudeI said to my self it’s okay this timeAnd today I decided to came and done my nails I tell the lady how was I wanted my nails she said okay at the end she didn’t do her job good and I tell her I don’t want my nails like andshe tell me “o sorry that’s no my problem”😱🤯 but still charge a lot I’m so mad because is not easy to get money 💰
