1st time here (previously I shopped at their W Frankfort location 10+ yrs)Bright, clean store with everything a sewer, embroider or quilter could need or want.EXCELLENT selection & variety of embroidery thread and machines.A pleasant lady helped me and even answered some quick questions I had over a embroidery machine (would have LOVED to left with it ~ maybe next time. ;-) )

The manat the Carbondale store was the absolute rudest person I have ever dealt with in my lifetime!!!!! I have never been treated so badly and discriminated against in my life!!! He followed me around the store and badgered me . He said they require masks and I had the mask on even though told him I have a health issue and could not wear it for extended periods of time. He said “ well we have 3 people with COPD so I’m not buying it”. Well first of all, all ADA issues are not physical and I do NOT have to tell him my health issues according to the HIPPA laws. Anyway he was very rude and told me to leave the store or he would call the police even though I had the mask on I could leave the store or he would call the police . I left the store and was never accommodated or was able to shop. He said they had curbside but never offered to tell me how that works or the opportunity to try it. If you are disabled I would NOT shop there because they are NOT friendly and do not like people with disabilities or maybe it was the color of my skin too, maybe it was both.

They were very helpful here. Lots of choices of fabrics, though they only carry natural fabrics. Their focus is on quilting, but they can help with other projects, too. They also teach lots of classes. You can bring your sewing machine in and theyll teach you how to use it. Very nice staff.

Never have I had such a rude young man assist me. I had a great call with Penny when I showed up she set up for this man to show me. He was clueless kept showing me a needle threader for a solid 5 minutes on to the next it’s EXACTLY WHAT I WANT. I had a price range and this Juki was the perfect price. UNTIL I WAS TALKING ABOUT WIDTH. WAS HAVING IT APCKED UP WHEN I WAS TOLD I HAD TO ADD $100 for the piece piece shown with it. As I was leaving I said I won’t be back my husband might. Said man chased after me yelling about covid and they can’t help their selection. And I can go somewhere else. The selection was fine I only looked at 2/3 she set out.I was just stunned and kept walking and won’t return nor will my husband. Penny you should take notes on this you probably lose more sales than you know. This discouraged me from shopping local and I’ll just stick to ordering online!

Excellent store to buy material, sewing machines, and much more. I received a Babylock sewing machine from there as a Christmas gift from my mother. I have sewed for years, but havent done much sewing at all for the past few years. They gave me free instructions on the machine, and are very nice people to deal with. They are very knowledgeable, too. Im leaving to return to my home in Kansas, and they said if I have any questions to go ahead and call them. They have some of the best quality material and thread for sale, also. I will definitely be back when I visit this area again.

They taught me to quilt many years ago, so they have patience and great teaching skills. Thanks Chuck, Mary, and Erin! You created a quilting fanatic! Love this store! Honestly, the nicest, most creative people Ive ever had the pleasure of meeting. The fabric, supplies, and the machines are top-notch. John can fix anything, by the way. Calico Country has a wall of want that has all the quilting guides, scissors, etc that any quilter desires. You really need to get there and take classes. They have my highest recommendation!

This is a very good place to get clothes and blankets fixed for a low-to-moderate price, and you can buy all kinds of yarns, threads, and lines her for moderately cheap. I dont shop here, but I used to go here with my mother all the time when she came to get supplies. They have fabrics of almost any kind, from fiber linens to fine silk, and everything between. If you quilt, sew, chroche, knit, or hem this is the place for you. They have great customer service, and will even refund partially used materials if you are dissatisfied.

Got an error message after cleaning and oiling my Bernina 700. Talked with Rachel, who answered the phone, told her my error and she immediately knew what I had done wrong. Its so nice when a dealer has staff that is trained and also nice. I was NOT treated like a dummy. She patiently walked me through the correct process like I was the only thing she had to do today. I live 90 miles away. Kudos to my great dealer and all of his staff.
