Your guys “pro service” for contractors is a joke. I was reminded today why I only go in there if I’m in a hurry. I waited with my cart for ten minutes. Even the contractor at the pro checkout station before me asked the cashier to check me out so I could get going. She glanced out the corner of her eye. Walked over to a completely separate station and shut the light off? 3 other employees standing behind that counter weren’t doing anything or helping anyone. Someone else walked up that they knew and immediately had them checking out. I walked to self check out. took care of myself.

Very helpful getting prices for walk in bathtubs. And letting me know what other items I would have to buy. They even gave me the name and phone number for a contractor to put it all in. I have both rotator cuffs damaged beyond repair and the walk in tub will keep me from falling through my glass shower doors. I usually go to Lowes for my major purchases. I trust them.

About a month ago I had yellow jackets invade my apartment. It was horrible!!! I have a 3 month old baby so I evacuated and stayed in a hotel until I could get things under control since my apartment management was doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about it. My mom went here to get some repellant and a very nice woman stopped what she was doing to explain that what we thought were bees were actually yellow jacket wasps or carpenter bees.She explained to my mom about how the spray that she originally sprayed bee spray actually was not what we needed to use but instead we needed to use wasp Spray. We also learned that these wasps released a faremone when killed which signals other wasps to avenge them after their death. Nature is so interesting I thought that was pretty amazing actually. Not for my son and I but in general. I just wanted to say thank you so much to that woman. My mom didnt get her name but wow you were so helpful and we no longer are being bothered by the bees. Were moving out of this apartment on to bigger and better.

Lowes delivery service is atrocious. I bought a kitchen bundle (stove, fridge, microwave and dishwasher) very happy with the in store service I received. The delivery men broke my door frame, scratched my hardwood floors, scuffed my new flooring and dented/bent my new appliances. Hopefully they will make this right!

We’ve been given quite the run around by their delivery team and 3rd party Delivery company, DSI Logistics.We ordered online during the 4th of July appliance sale for a washer and dryer and 2 pedestals. Delivery date set for July 14th between 2-6pm. At 1:30pm on the 14th I get a call saying the driver has been delayed and the new time is between 330-730. Annoying, but fine.I’ve also been told this entire time that the driver will call 30 mins before delivery. 7pm rolls around and I’ve still not received a call. So I call and ask where my driver is. The guy who answers tells me that he will have to have my dispatcher call me back and he knows where my driver is but can’t tell me. Uh, what?Then I contact them a 3rd time because the dispatcher never called me back. It’s 745 at this point. I then get told that my order was never loaded on the truck and that they knew that from the very beginning of the day and he didn’t know why no one told me. Wasted my entire day when they KNEW it wasn’t coming. At this point I’m livid and he transfers me to the store to find out why they didn’t load it. Customer service transfers me to appliances who proceeds to pick up the phone, set it down and have a 10 minute conversation about their schedules while just cursing up a storm.I hang up and call the delivery company back because I’m unaware of what store is handling my order. The young lady I reached that time listened to my story and told me they would be disciplining the others who lied to me and wasted my entire day. She also wrote a letter to the area manager, corporate and the store manager about the run around I had had.I could literally go on and on for pages. That was just the first day it was supposed to be delivered. It’sNow the 6th day. They have told me every day that it’s coming. And every day it’s the same story that they didn’t load it. We are looking at purchasing a fridge and stove soon. No way in HELL Lowe’s gets our money. Y’all need to get it together. Your delivery department sucks.

Purchased a new washer, dryer and a new toolbox. Said they would deliver the next week on Monday between 8am and noon. Took off work so I could be here to accept deliver. Noon came and went and still no delivery. Called several times with no answer. Finally got ahold of someone and was told they cancelled the delivery because they didn’t actually have my items and that it would be 2 weeks before they could get them! I Asked to speak to someone in charge. Was told they weren’t there but they would maybe call tomorrow. To sum it up........Never called to let me know they weren’t coming, told me the items were available for delivery before I purchased them but they weren’t and wouldn’t answer the phone multiple times when I tried to find out what was going on

Curbside is a nice option. The guys and girls that are there do there best I suppose. But they do need more help its overwhelming them. It takes 30 minutes or longer to get your materials. Lot of times no answer on curbside department. But the people that are there. Do a great job.

Even with the short staff the ones there ignored my request for help. Bought soil and rock and the cart was too heavy to get up the outdoor slope. Took multiple tries which frustrated me and just made me ready to leave. Spent over 100 on just garden items and would of spent more but was ready to snap.

I walked up to the garden center to buy a few things got my yard. The worker was busy on the phone and asked me to go to the other lane that did not have a worker. No biggie. After a few minutes another woman waits in line behind me. 5 mins later a man walks up to the counter and the worker promptly ends his call to help him while this other woman and I are still waiting.Is this how Lowe’s treats women who shop at their store?? Maybe if I bring my husband with me next time I’ll get prompter service. I dropped my things and left. This used to be my favorite place to grab things for my yard, but apparently I’ll go to Home Depot or menards instead now. Same distance from my home and they don’t give preferential treatment towards gender.

Sometimes I have good experiences at Lowe’s, as prices are appropriate and employees are helpful, but a recent experience trying to get new carpet was awful. The service was slow and the process was frustrating. Even though I had the measurements, I was required to schedule an appointment to have the room measured by their company before ordering the carpet. I did this and was told that Lowe’s would call me to order the carpet and provide an installation date. After a few days with no call, I called them and was informed “the person who does this stuff is off today and they’ll give you a call soon”. After a few more days with no call, I decided to go with a different company. Lowe’s finally called me back two weeks after the other company installed my beautiful new carpet. I have upcoming projects that require carpet and Lowe’s won’t be considered for these.

Do not ever count on your delivery not getting messed up. Brought a washer and dryer on Thursday to be delivered on Sunday. Washer and dryer in stock at the Carbondale Lowes. Got a call Sunday morning they only had a washer. Called Lowes appliance, spoke to the “appliances manager” she was unaware of the problem. Told them to get it worked out delivery of both appliance today as per contract or wanted refund. Magically the dryer now appears. Just drive on past. Go to Home Depot and avoid the headache.

I have bought 4 appliances from Lowes in the past 18 months. Each time I have had poor customer service. I will focus only on my most recent experience for this review but I now feel comfortable sharing a poor review because I feel confident that my experiences werent just one person having an off day or a fluke. My experiences are limited to the Carbondale IL store so my opinions are solely about those employees and other Lowes stores may offer a different experience.I purchased a dryer online for my mother in law on August 31st and it was set to be delivered on September 6th. Super quick! They did arrive within the window and my MIL went and opened the front door and then went to begin readying the laundry room for the switch. She assumed they would knock on the door but when she went to check a few minutes later they had gone. I called and explained the misunderstanding and although it was inconvenient, I could understand Lowes insistence that the delivery would need to be rescheduled as they assumed she was not home. Cool- I could totally roll with that. Although Frank who I spoke to on the phone was extremely rude and short- I didnt think much of him telling me that someone would give me a call once the truck made it back to the store to reschedule.Like previous experiences, nobody ever called me to reschedule. I attempted to call Carbondale Lowes and was told a manager would return my call. Nope. So by Tuesday I called Lowes Corporate and asked to be rescheduled. Makayla (I think) was nice, but generally not able to help. I requested a call back from someone who could help me. Nope. So I called back the next day, was a little more blunt and received an email confirming a new delivery date of 9/13 between 12-4 (but still no call back). Great! I received an automated call on 9/12 confirming delivery which I pressed 1 to confirm.We moved a family birthday party to my MILs house so as not to conflict with the delivery but by 6:30 no delivery....so my husband calls the Carbondale Lowes and speaks to Preston who confirms our delivery date but cannot say when it will be- but assures us a callback as soon as he checks the status. Nope. So my MIL calls Lowes around 7:30 and speaks to a wonderful associate named Carrie. She told my MIL that she did not have the authority to make the necessary changes but would make sure a manager called her FIRST THING the next morning. She said the manager arrived at 4 am and my MIL requested a callback at 7 am. The manager did call right at 7, and although she was short and non-apologetic she did reschedule the delivery and rebate us 20% of the cost.For anyone on the Lowes team reading this with the power to make staffing changes- as someone who also manages a team dedicated to customer service and a generally reasonable adult- whoever you have running the Carbondale Lowes appliance department is failing miserably. It is never okay to be rude to customers, not return phone calls, or allow a situation like this (or my previous experiences) to occur and since this is a repeated experience it is apparent that there are no repercussions from management for these types of behavior.I suggest you replace that individual with someone like Cassie- who although was not a big dog was the only person smart enough to understand that customer experience drives success. Yes- I am only one person but I alone have made multiple high dollar purchases and I have no doubt that there are many many more like myself. Single opinions add up. You need more individuals like Cassie who take responsibility and follow through. Thank you Cassie. And to whoever is managing Lowes- GET IT TOGETHER, seriously. I would be very embarrassed if I were you. Go find a job you enjoy enough to invest your time and energy in and stop torturing those of us who just need new dryers.

I really like this store and drive past Home Depot often to go to this store. The garden department has just about anything Ive needed for my lawn work. The home projects people are very friendly and we used them to put a fence up. Great place and I wish there was one in Marion.

Dont let Lowes deliver your carpet! They delivered my sons carpet and left it OUTSIDE!! DIDNT let myself or him know it was sitting OUTSIDE!! Multiple calls to reach a manager. Because they did deliver the carpet but forgot the pads, at least the pads werent decorating the lawn!

Received a voicemail that an item I ordered a month ago had arrived. Called to confirm, the person at customer service said they had two on hand and forwarded me to the items department. The person answering there couldnt find it. He took my number and said he would check in Receiving and call me back. Three hours later, no returned call so I called back. Tried to get a manager on the phone but nobody answered when I was sent to one. Called again, asked for a manager and the lady answering asked why. I explained the situation, she looked up my order, again confirming they had two on hand, but she was going to go confirm it and call me back. To my great surprise (🙄) I didnt hear back about that one either.Giving up on their employees ability to communicate, but assuming they can still read, I drove 40 minutes to the store expecting that my item would be there. I spoke to the person at the Pickups counter, who directed another worker to go get my item. After waiting about 20 minutes, they come back empty handed and one worker explains that they received a similar item with a similar item number and for some reason they called me to say my order arrived. This is apparently a common issue for them.Somehow, 3-4 different employees looked up my order and made the decision that the item was there in store.Turns out they cant read either.Worth noting that two weeks ago another employee told me it was in stock and when transferred to the other department, it was determined they didnt have it.Pretty typical Carbondale experience, Id say.

Normally a pretty good place but service was lacking today. Only had one person ask if I needed help with anything which at the time I didnt. But when I decided to buy a grill no one was around so I pulled the pre assembled grill through the store from garden center to the checkouts. Passed 5 employees and no one offered to help. Guess I should have just left it in the middle of the store with the rest of my things and walked out. Im sure Ill go back but today was very disappointing.

Formerly a fairly devoted Lowes fan and customer having only once purchased from Home Depot. That shall change after the horrible customer service we recieved at this Lowes today. Husband & I are redoing an entire home, attempting to save this small family home so that it can be rented out or cheaply sold to another family in need. I had called a few days prior as i was going to purchase and pay via phone or website and have this lumber delivered but when told is cost $79 for delivery I figured we may as well come jn and choose ourselves. To me that fee seems like a punishment for ur purchase. We have only just started this project & today we bought nearly $300 worth of lumber to redo the kitchen floor and joists, after obtaining new cabinets from an individual which had us buying screws, draw pulls for those too. We walked around for 20 to 30 mins trying to politely get some assistance from any of the many workers walking about. Perhaps if I had shouted waving loudly We may have been acknowledged before finding and gathering what we needed on our own. At this point I was still understanding as I even took a couple pics of various paneling. The next room is getting paneling and the pics will help me decide which style as well as how much to buy. The same employees who watched us struggling to load all this heavy plywood continued to watch us having a rather unpleasant time attempting to get it outside, across the lot, and by time we got to loading it i was gasping, not strong enough to provide adequate help on my end when trying help hubby load. For that reason and my surmounting dissapointment i called the store and requested an employee please come out and help him get our vehicle loaded. The man i spoke with promised to have someone on it immediately no prob. Ten exhausting mins later we managed to get it all done, never seeing any form of help. My husband has broken vertebrae in his spine, cast molding, metal screws and rods but non the less powered through waiting on himself after such a large purchase. He should receive better thanks for choosing to do his business here when so many other places are willing and eager for new business.

I shop this store frequently and have spent an ungodly amount of money here. I like the products they carry (particularly Kobalt brand tools which you can only get at Lowes) and their prices are extremely competitive and if you know how to shop you can find some incredible deals which is the ONLY reason I continue to shop here.The employees here are about as helpful as a screen door on a submarine. Attitudes range from disinterested to downright surly. There is one manager there in the evenings (I forget his name, Craig maybe) who is awesome. He is always pleasant and handles my questions or grievances quickly and effortlessly and deserves a raise. If the rest of the staff had his cust service skills I would give this store 5 stars without a 2nd thought

What a train wreck. Waited five hours for notification my order was ready for pickup. Website instructions for curbside pickup were nonexistent. Curbside pickup instructions werent visible from the parking lot entrance. I parked and went inside where I found my order had NOT been pulled when I got there. Waited for it to be brought up and gave up on that, found a flatbed cart and pulled the order myself. Stopped by customer service to verify my purchase then had to find help to get it loaded. Got my purchase home to find it shattered and had to go back to the store and do it all over again. Good times.

We recently purchased a deep freezer from this Lowe’s and were told it would be in last week. Still haven’t heard from them and I have called for the past three days trying to get ahold of customer service. It’s as if there are no employees in the store to answer the phone. Poor communication and customer service. I have always bought appliances from Lowe’s but unless something changes I will no longer be doing business with them. I highly recommend Home Depot or Menards their customer service is excellent and they actually answer their phone!
