Our family has had the pleasure of working with Justin, owner of the Listening Stack, over the course of the last few months with the hearing aid process. These guys are great! After I got my molds, I mailed them off to 64Audio to be made into in-ears, but unfortunately USPS lost them. I had already moved to Florida, so going back into the store for a new set wasnt an option, so I emailed them, detailing the problem and Justin was able to email the digital version (that I had authorized them to save) into 64, saving me a major headache! Thats above and beyond, if you ask me! Id actually recommend that they do that for all 64Audio orders going forward, so that theres no need for physical molds, nor having to pay postage, and no threat of them being lost in the mail. Based on everything, I would definitely recommend them!

Justin is a refreshing change of pace compared to the other hearing aid place I was going to before. Rather than trying to impress me with his degrees and the fact that their facility was at a hospital complex and only dealing with one brand of hearing aid, Justin Stack is a broker and vendor for several top brands of hearing aids. Read less expensive. He recommended I go with Starkey because they make the best in-ear hearing aids and thats what I wanted. The results have been fantastic and I am thrilled after a year of ownership. Justin is a regular guy and easy to talk to.

I’m 70 years old and challenged by my difficulty hearing and the need to preserve what I still have. On one hand I needed help hearing day to day dialogue, and on the other hand I needed to stay safe during decibel bending attendance at a U2 concert or a San Jose Sharks playoff game. Turned out The Listening Stack was the perfect solution for both.Justin had me test drive different makes and models of hearing aids. They’re all different in some way and we carefully weeded out the ones that didn’t work for me and the ones that did. I’m completely satisfied with the pair I finally chose.While we worked to find the best solution to my hearing aids Justin had me fitted for custom ear plugs that worked well for concerts and sporting events. They are REALLY good and I enjoyed concerts for the first time in years without worrying that I’ll never hear something again.Working with Justin was a pleasure. He was professional, patient and great at what he does. Best of all, I ended up with a solution that works. Unfortunately it doesn’t look too good for concerts and Sharks playoff hockey anytime soon.

Best audio earplug store for musicians. I have had Justin and his team create sound blocking in ear phones for loud band practices/ gigs and they are spectacular. Also, custom plugs for nighttime sleeping--amazing.Called them for help on custom in ear monitors and, again, spectacular extensive help over the phone. This store has the best customer service. Everyone is so nice and helpful ALL THE TIME. They deserve more than 5 stars.

I have had three ear operations for surfers ear which means that Ive been wearing custom ear plugs for over two decades. I have been going to the Listening Stack since they first opened shop off of 41st ave several years ago. Justin is doing what he loves and it shows in his attention to detail and compassion to the issues that hearing problems incur. He is the go-to for any sort of custom plugs.

Justin, the owner and his staff are awesome! Justin is very professional, honest, knowledgeable and helpful. I saw an advertisement in Good Times for custom surf ear plugs and walked in without an appointment. I was in and out within 15 minutes fitted for my earplugs and never felt rushed. I was able to pick my custom ear plugs up in two days. They can make them in house. They also have really cool custom wireless earphones. They are the best earplugs Ive ever had! Really great to see a local business fulfilling the needs of the community and delivering on their promise as well as exceeding expectations. I highly recommend the Listening Stack for all your ear related needs!

Im so glad I bought custom sleeping earplugs here! They stay in all night, and are really comfortable even when sleeping on my side. They block out the sound of traffic on our busy street, and I wake up feeling completely refreshed. I got mine in glow in the dark green, and they were easy to find when I dropped them under the bed before dawn one morning. Id wanted to move away from disposable earplugs for sleeping, and the Listening Stack made it really easy. Walked in with no appointment, checked out all their styles, got a mold of my ear, and put in an order. -Update after three months- These are still fantastic, and literally saved us from having to move out of our apartment because of loud traffic noise. The only note is that I wouldnt recommend them for use while flying. The fit is so good that they seal off the ear and prevent pressure equalization (causing discomfort/pain) during the minor but constant changes in altitude. I tried venting them regularly but it wasnt enough. Definitely wasnt able to use them to sleep on the plane.

I visited the Listening Stack to get impressions made for custom IEMs. Staff convinced me to purchase a custom IEM made in house. The lead time ended up being much longer than originally promised and I needed a refit due to the cable contacting the side of my head and preventing a good seal. Once this was fixed and I started using them I noticed a ringing in my ears. After reaching out several times this is still unresolved.The fit and seal are good, Listening Stack makes good impressions and shells. Get your CIEM elsewhere though.

Unfortunate poor communications.I bought a 150$ custom ear mold for my FIIO IEM via Advanced Sound. They got me in quick and then it all went wrong. No communication the first week. I had to call them. They promised to call me as soon as they were done. Then I found that without calling me they had sent the ear molds via the USPS post office. When the snail mail arrived they were not the color I paid for. Yet they claimed they mailed them because they had to follow the instructions... Total uncaring.

I have slept with earplugs for years. These are the most comfortable earplugs I have used. I even bought a second set for travel. The staff is wonderful and helpful.

This is one of the best places in Santa Cruz to obtain hearing and ear protection made to order, along with your standard hearing aids. Justin is great!
