In the past year our child has received therapy we have seen such a incredible change! He looks so forward to his sessions with Tara every 2 weeks. Tara is amazing at what she does and has a true passion for it. She is able to help our 5 year old verbalize things I never even knew where on his mind. Out of all the specialists we see she’s the one who has made a drastic improvement in his mental health. Thank you Delta Family and Tara!

Let me start off by saying my mother, also a LCSW, owns her own private practice of about 12+ years so I am very familiar with this process as I have worked as an office administrator before. All contact has been via Tara the owner.Lack of communication was HORRIBLE. The fact that I can not get anyone on the phone and only get responded to via email is nuts. Not only that but when I do send emails to confirm appointments I am told that they were not received. Upon sending screenshots and forwarding the email thread which shows my replies, I am hit with the good old , “so sad too bad” attitude and thrown on a waiting list, after my THIRD attempted reschedule. When told about the severity of the matter of the Child who needed to be seen, I am met with zero comfort or emotion and just told to fill out paperwork and get put on the waiting list. Very displeased with the lack of professionalism shown by this company especially dealing with the things they do deal with. Very unfortunate as I have always heard very good things about delta and have even sent referrals to them so I assumed the star rating was wrong, unfortunately it is not wrong. Find someone who shows you that you and your child’s needs ARE important to them.

This “family” focused counseling is only interested in one thing. Ur money or what they can bill the insurance company. We took our daughter there and not once in almost a year would the owner Tara communicate with my wife and I on her progress, anything we should be aware of or what we can be doing at home to support what they are working on with her. We asked several times to get updates or to talk to her about our daughters progress and her answer was always the same. The insurance doesn’t cover that, so we can schedule a self pay session with her for extra money. We asked to call her after a session for a minute to see how the session went and again was told that’s not something she does. No communication, rude responses and unprofessional behavior. They don’t care about ur children they just see them as dollar bills. That and as much as I’m a dog person the smell and dog hair all over the office is a little much at times. Do yourself a favor and find a Counsellor that will genuinely want to help your kid not just what they can bill the insurance for.

We had wonderful results from Delta Family Counseling. Tara connected with my daughter and was able to give her the tools to work through various issues. I highly recommend them!! She is quite busy but does correspond with email very efficiently.

The owner (Tara M) has changed her session dates multiple times. Does not return phone calls and lies about returning phone calls. Has giving me false information and back - tracked her stories multiple time when we spoke. She said I dont give parents the childrens record because they dont need to be nosy I tried to use her for my 9 year old daughter for the past year and have ended up with The owner (Tara M.) telling me she makes the rules. She has no parental training. She is very uninterested in helping. She is just a check collector. Claiming children are making visits and billing the insurance. Stay far from this company

Disappointed....paid $200 for 1 week of camp for Pawsitive Kids Camp. On Tuesday my daughter came home upset and said she was humiliated in front of the class. She was so embarrassed she said she went to the bathroom to cry during the camp. This camp required a meeting with me and my daughter prior to the camp to discuss and get to know my daughter. She has ADHD and sometimes need to be redirected and I expected they would know how to deal with special need children. Wednesday morning not sure if it was related or not but she had diarrhea and upset stomach and did not go to camp. Friday she was not able to go because unfortunately we had a family emergency. I called at 8:00am. I received a call at 5pm telling me because she did not come on Friday she would not be able to come to the last day of camp on Saturday to show the dogs at Pet Supermarket. They said they went over things on Friday that could not be missed. I was never advises that “missing Friday” makes you unprepared for the adoption on Saturday. Very unprofessional rude and misleading. I just had to tell my daughter after the rough week she’s had that now she can’t go tomorrow either. Her response to me was “I don’t think they liked me anyway”. So disappointed - signed her up for this camp to build up her self esteem and it accomplished the exact opposite.
