Had an absolutely amazing experience while my car was being repaired after an accident. Natalie and her staff went above and beyond to make sure I got in a car I was happy with. She was able to make the process extremely easy and seamlessThey worked with my insurer to the point where I had to do nothing more than grab the keys and go. They drove me both ways to the collision shop. Very pleased and will be a returning customer if need be.

Never used Hertz before..The car was dirty havent been vacuumed.the front inside windshield was dirty the steering wheel was filthy nasty when I wiped it, and also the windshield wiper fluid was out. I rented thru Expedia and paid in full when I got to Hertz they charged me 200.00 deposit plus taxes when I already paid taxes to Expedia...I will never rent from Hertz again

DO NOT RENT FROM HERTZ!Coming from Indiana, Hertz had by far the best price, so I made a reservation. When I got there, they had no cars to rent. Called corporate, after waiting on hold for almost an hour, they said there was nothing they could do. Ended up costing me almost $200 more because I had to get a same day rental at another company.

I made a reservation at the Cape Coral location and it was confirmed online for a 6 day rental in October 2020. After arriving at the airport and ride-sharing to the location, I found out the location was CLOSED on Saturdays. Considering I made the reservation on Hertz.com and not a 3rd party site, I would assume theyd have the foresight to correct their business hours and not confirm reservations on days they are CLOSED. When my wife and I were stranded in the rain, I respectfully called customer service, expecting them to apologize and make it right when they heard what a blunder was made. Instead of this, the customer service rep hangs up on me. I call again, assuming the line had accidentally dropped. What a surprise when I got the same representative again, and was hung up on a 2nd time. by this time, Im furious. The final customer service call ended up with an offer to rent a car at another location at 3x my booked price, and no pickup while Im stranded at the closed location in Cape Coral. They made no attempt to make the situation right, so I will do my best to avoid hertz whenever possible, despite my previous satisfied rentals with them.

My experience with the customer service was horrible. The lady at the service desk assumes that I don’t know that a CREDIT CARD IS NEEDED NOT A DEBIT CARD OR CASH as if I wouldn’t know that. Even her co worker looked at her funny cause she said it multiple times. Did I mention this is a African American woman and I am a African American man. And her co worker was a cool white guy!!!!!!

The service was not helpful, the one worker—i do not want to throw her name under the bus but she was extremely unhelpful and very rude and her attitude was unwarranted and unnecessary. She was not at all helpful until the last five minutes of our visit when it was informed that she couldn’t help us whatsoever. I do not recommend going to this Hertz.

I can’t understand if i reserve a cargo van in the morning online and to be sure that was successfully called the office to verify the pick up time, when arrived they told me that the van it’s not there. Got a car through them for insurance reasons. Had the car from the 18th of January to the 29th of January Picked my car up from the body shop around the corner and was told that hertz would come get it. It sat at the shop a week before they picked it up. And CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD FOR IT! Made my balance -800 on my card. Never got a hold of me. NOW THEY HAVE BOTH MY HUSBAND AND I BLOCKED!!!!! THEY CHARGED ME $411And the manager is an idiot 🙄 very rude

Horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rented a mini van weeks in advanced for a vacation. Reservation was for 12:30 on saturday. Showed up EARLY at 12:15 and they were closed!!!!!!!!!! They closed at 12 and by 12:15 there wasnt even a single person left. Called every other rental place around and no vans in town. Had to cancel the trip! I will NEVER rent a car from them again!

When I first started renting cars from Hertz, there was a wait on occasion because the manager was the only one there working, but her customer service skills were ALWAYS outstanding! Now that she has more help, things are running smoother and the wait time is a lot better!

The woman who helped was outstanding I would give her 5 stars if I could!!!There was one person working here with 13 waiting. It’s not fair she had to rent and vacuum cars while it’s raining. This location must hire!!! Also I called another hertz and was told sorry can’t help you. Customer service is key to return customers. I waited over an hour in a room with 13 people not very safe guys.

My family rented a cargo van for today because we are moving tomorrow. Got to the location and nobody was there. Called there and was on the line for 1 hour -worst costumer service!! So now they tell us there is no car available. I booked it 2 weeks ago. It has nothing to do with corona. It’s simply bad service. I do NOT recommend renting from them. And if you have the time to respond to reviews on here you should have the time to answer costumers requests and don’t let them wait for hours.

The guys are not friendly, I had everything they needed, they tried to charge my credit card 2x what the rental was. They come up with every excuse to not rent. I was left stranded after an auto accident. There are plenty others who will are eager to rent. I see hundreds of cars not being rented, they can stay not rented for all I care. I have been renting cars for years, never had the problems I have had with this location.

DO NOT PREPAY. I prepaid for 1 week and a day. I was able to leave early and get the car back a day early. I even called hertz the day I was leaving to bring it back and gave the rep my account info to verify I could get a refund for dropping it off a day early. I was told that I could get a refund for the day, when I dropped the car off I got an email receipt for the whole amount. Phoned location to discuss, instructed to talk to billing because they could not adjust prepaid accounts. Spoke to billing who told me they could not refund any part of it because it was prepaid. Poor rating isnt for the location, it’s for hertz in general for doing business that way. Staff at the location were helpful and apologetic. Will likely not rent from hertz again due to this experience

Stacey was so incredibly helpful during a challenging rental. It was nothing that Hertz did, but a mixup over our car insurance company while our own car was getting repaired. She came up with a fair solution, very patient with the amount of questions I had, and was a class act in customer service. I always used another car rental company, but after this experience I would use this location in the future.

Ive rented here at least 6 times. Everyone has always been courteous ,and helpful and wait times have been minimal. Ive been picked up and dropped off at home every time i rented , unless i do overnight drop off.I left my sun-pass in the car on one occasion and my cell phone on another and both times they held it for me and called me to advise they found in my rental i had dropped off.All rental info is always clear and concise, folks you do sign off before you leave with the car right? Now , i will say this , Ive seen moments when people try to rent and they just never read the rules to renting. They come unprepared, no credit or bank card , no Drivers License or proof of address , and If they get refused, the client gets upset, but thats not Hertz fault! Any other rental place wouldve refused them as well.Folks complaining about pricing? Its 2017 , book your car online and youll know roughly how much your rental will be , i dont get the surprises people complain about. For the one complaining about being closed on New Years Day , buddy next time rent from the airport which is open 24 hours a day - you do have an option , you werent forced to rent from a place that you knew was closed on New Years Day. Let the Local Edition offices spend time with their families , its is a National Holiday during holiday season . In any case all are entitled to their opinions and this is mine. This location is small and no frills. I think you must take time to look for a deal with Hertz and read the fine print with the rentals. Your $30-$50/day can easily cost WAY more if you dont. It pays to join the Hertz Gold Plus club and have AAA or some other membership to find a competitive price and get some fees waived. The Cape Coral manager Dianna was friendly and helpful. She took time to look for affiliations/offers that would get my price down to what Id seen online (didnt book online not realizing there is a cost differential). She also took time to show me some features of the vehicle and arranged for me to return the vehicle after hours so that I wouldnt have to pay for a rental day I didnt need. The other CSR- Kirsha was also friendly and efficient.

I have been using this location for years, it is centrally located for the Cape and I have had nothing but good experiences here. Today I decided to write a review because there was a lady complaining about how she wanted here car now and how the employees werent moving quickly enough for her. Reading the other reviews I think people forget With every service industry patients helps and some seem to blame the locations for online problems or their own incompetents in using online reservation. I returned my car and Nate did a great job! We all need positive in our lives!

I’ve been a Hertz gold member for quite some time but I will never rent from them because their Cape Coral, FL office. We had a tire that was losing air over night, when we called their office we had an extremely rude lady tell us that it was our fault and we are responsible for the tire. She also told us we’d be on the hook for 2 tires if the other tires are worn on the car. The receptionist then hung up on me when I didn’t agree with that.I will use Hertz’ competitors from here on out, even if I have to pay more.

Whatever you do, do not try and rent a car with them through Orbitz. Was given wrong information and not told everything. When I got to Hertz, the car I rented wasnt even ready and they told me Id have to wait for it. Ended up not even renting at all after miscommunication from Orbitz and Hertz and now fighting to get a refund on my pre-payment of the rental. Overall, just a bad experience.

I rented here 2 times and was pretty happy but when I tried to reserve a car a 3rd time I was given a quote over the phone which I made sure to ask if this will be the final price including insurance and everything else, I was assured it was. When I went to pick up the car the price more than DOUBLED! Who is paying $1,300+ for a mid-size car of 1 week?!Tip for the employees: Be honest, professional and customer friendly. And please... eat your Subway sandwich covered in onions in the back or outside so it doesnt smell like a gym changing room in your whole office.

Took a long time to get the car, even though pre- applied on line. But, received a lot of info about expediting rental for future rentals and became a vs member, which hopefully will help with future rentals. Car could have been cleaner, but had worse from other rental agencies. Not sure why that is the case..ended up taking the car through a car wash myself so I could see out of the windshield in the evening.

Horrible. After paying for the full coverage, my wife and I had to return the car (via tow truck) 1 day into the 3 day rental. We were assured that there would be no additional charge. There was... we were told that the tow company did not return the vehicle to Hertz (a company that THEY called) until after our 3 day rental time. We were charged the full 3 days plus extra after having the car for 1 day.Never again.

Excellent customer service and friendly staff. Initially, I thought there would be an issue as when I first called I was placed on hold for a loooonnnnggg time. Called back and another representative picked up, Diana “Wonderwoman.” She arranged to have Chuck, her teammate, pick me up at my hotel and have my car waiting for me upon my arrival. The car was clean, A/C was blasting and the music station was even on point. I was in and out like a robbery. The return was even easier. Didn’t have to. Diana advised me to just leave the key with the hotel valet (prior arrangement with hotel) and she’d send someone to pick it up. When I have the opportunity to vacation down in the Gulf of M again, I will definitely ask for Diana...you all should!

I would give them a zero but the website doesn’t accept zeros. I rented a car and got a confirmation number. Hours before the rental time I was contacted saying no cars were available. I called talked to an agent who told me the supervisor would be calling me, never happened. Then went to Hertz at Punta Gorda airport, they had cars but not the type I had reserved and would not rent me a car. The agent, Susan Greer, was not only not helpful but was very disrespectful and left me with no car and no option to rent a car. Thankfully the Avis agent next door heard our conversation and helped me, thank you, David from Punta Gorda Avis. I will never attempt to rent from Hertz again.

UPDATE: Sadly! Supervisor doubled my rental rates and even the ability to rent my car class after many successful prestigious vehicles rentals. 2 cars, 365 days a year, monthly rentals that were always paid, always clean and always taken care of, even oil changes done by me!, I took exceptional care of the vehicals and treated the staff like friends, but then was ousted because someone needed to take the blame for giving me fair rates. YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSSED TO OUST THE CLIENT for a employee mistake....... wow! I am shocked! I gave this location dozens of reviews and referrals, built a great relationship and then DONE because a newbie made a mistake and they decided that I would pay the price! I know what you all did and it’s completely unacceptable by all business standards. I employ approx 3 dozen people and the customer is always right, Not This location! I now deal with corp where your treated like an elite presidential member (which I worked hard and spent A LOT TO GET TO THAT LEVEL) and not a relationship whereby you have no clue what’s going to happen visit to visit. I never even received a phone call as a courtesy, just a “we can’t help you, good luck, bye”... What a disappointment! No more from me! Go to a corporate location where your business matters. I will be following up to find out who the supervisor is and why I never received a call from the manager below I reviewed a while back, to find out how a customer whom had spent 6 figures with this company, wasn’t even afforded the decency of a call, lol, laughable and shocking. Quick service when reserving online, cars are decent, most available whats been picked out. Reason for the low rating is due to one incident. Severly low tire with constant air leak during my 3 day rental. If it wasnt for the Low tire pressure indicator, i wouldve never thought of checking something that shouldve been checked before being rented out. Beware of cheap talk, get everything in writing. Always after 5 years I get told one thing and pay another. Dont leave anything in the rental you wont get it back. Constant staff changes. Always up charging telling you if the car is in the next day by 6 you dont pay and when you get there by 6 they tell you to read your contract that it states 24 hrs from pick up, well my papers were ready and shoved at me when I got there they had already checked me out the car not the one I asked for nor definitely not the attitude I got from the sales clerk that had to be 12 to match his bratty​ attitude. And I get charged another $40 for 5 hrs having the car past the so called curfew they didnt charge by hour which was more and I didnt keep the car either. They lost a customer and really didnt care. Maybe the home office will.

I LOVE THIS HERTZ!!!, John, Steve, and Bada, Are great!! Ive been renting at this hertz for years now, and theyve always took care of me. I have no complaints except for the fact that the above people Ive mentioned are always being promoted to other stores and positions. Cars have always been clean and on time, and they have never lied to me about any prices. and if you were a smoker, where in the world do you rent and not get charged extra in a smoke free zone? get a clue! Ive been late before and I called and they waited for me a few minutes after closing hours. they are a great staff. and even if you had 1 bad experience, should that speak for every hertz? cmon people lets be adults here. and Ive also never seen them eat lunch at the front desks, (and ive been renting from them for years).
