We rented one of the boats for a week during our vacation to Cape Coral. It was an excellent experience! The boat was waiting for us on arrival to our vacation rental. Mike contacted us just prior to our arrival and we met with him to go over all the specifics. Very thorough. Had laminated maps with information about the waterways, marinas and places to eat. We are freshwater boaters so the information was extremely helpful for the ocean.The boat was awesome. Every day we traveled to different beaches, dropped anchor and waded to the beach. Every trip we saw dolphins and often manatees. Even had up close encounters as the dolphins swam next to the boat. It was also great to pull up to a restaurant and dock to eat.Be sure to reserve a few months prior to your trip for availability. You can rent them daily, for several days or weekly.Highly recommend this boat charter company. We are so thankful for this experience. It absolutely made our trip. Lots of great memories - even getting caught in a torrential downpour. When we return to Cape Coral we will be contacting Mike again for our boat rental.

Dealing with Mike was incredibly easy. He responds quickly, delivers what is promised with no unwanted surprises, delivered the boat we selected on time, and went through all necessary details thoroughly. He is extremely professional and a pleasure to deal with. A binder of local boating hot spots, gas stations and water rules are provided as well as a nautical map.I will absolutely use this company again when I return to cape coral.

I have rented boats from Mike three times now and will continue to rent from him as long as I rent boats. Mike and his family are wonderful to deal with and make the whole process very easy. The boats they rent are newer and always in great condition. If there are any problems during the rental (we had a minor issue with a loose battery cable), Mikes team is very responsive and fixes the problem immediately. Amazing full service experience! Mike dropped off the boat at our rental home, gave us detailed instructions and recommendations for great places to go. We went to Sanibel Island two days, anchoring just offshore and walking through the ocean to the beach. It was absolutely fantastic!

Now, I didnt get to actually RENT a boat because when I called three weeks ago, Mike asked me to email him my info. I did and never heard back. I figured he was very busy so I waited and waited. Finally, I called him today and he asked me to all him back in 30 minutes. I did and was then told that they are sold out for the week that I had requested. I understand however I wish he would have told me that three weeks ago. Im now scrambling to find a boat.

We have rented boats in Cape Coral over the past four years and this company has been the best! The process was very easy and the boat was definitely the nicest in terms of cleanliness and how well it was maintained. We will definitely be renting a boat from them on our next trip.

I was referred to Cape Coral Boat Charters by management for a home we rented in January. What a dream company to deal with. I emailed Mike and told him what we needed and when we needed it. The next morning I woke up to see the boat already hanging in our boat lift. The boat was in like new condition, nowhere near the norm for boat rentals. Mike could not have been more helpful or professional. This company will be our go to for boat rentals from now on in Cape Coral.

We rented a 25 foot Yamaha Jet Boat from Cape Coral Charter Boats and had a great experience. I found their rates to be very competitive. When I did a little more research, I though they had the best rates because their price included drop off and pick up at your location (some charged extra for this) as well as insurance for damages and SeaTow. Normally, I would decline these insurance options but the rental price was still better than many that did not include these options. The boat was new, in great condition and ran perfectly. Lastly, Mike was easy to work with and was very helpful. I will rent from Cape Coral Charter Boats again when we are back in the area. Highly recommend.

Boat was clean and just as it was pictured on the website. Unfortunately we did not have a slip at our house but Mike was able to get us one at another house not to far away, just cost us a little more. Only downside was due to him being booked out, there were no amenities or sports packages to go with it. We will certainly rent here again next time we’re in town.

Instruction manuals are well put together and decent maps of the area are provided as well.The briefing upon handover of the boat was comprehensive and the rental terms were fair.If we come back to Cape Coral, we will rent again from Mike Schymalla and his team.

We rented a boat from Mike and his fabulous team during our stay in Cape Coral. Booking the boat was nice and straight forward, the boat arrived early and our handover was done right on 9am of the first day. Great instructions were given on the area and the local boating rules. Maps and guides were part of the package. We were given contact details in case of problems. A detailed overview of the boat and its features including the GPS was all part of the handover. The Hurricane Sundeck was perfect for our cruising and fishing needs. Handing back the boat was straight forward and easy to do.Highly recommend hiring from Mike, we will again on our next visit.

DISAPPOINTING experience... BE CAREFULL with this company !Boat was OK, Mike is quite OK, but dont expect a great service & BE VERY CAREFULL. Let me explain !FIRST why these guys are NOT REALLY PROFESSIONALS : we gave back the boat, Mike came to OUR HOME with friends to pick up the boat WITHOUT notifying us. So we saw a whole family coming in our garden. We did a very quick tour & MIKE said everything is perfect witht he boat and he can realease the deposit. 48h later he sent a picture with a dent on the boat. the picture was taken by his friends 24h after they took the boat. He accused us, and finally took part of the deposit. Whatever explanations we gave, he didnt even answer ! Expect to be treatened like this with this guy !!!!Then on service, you pay for the full inclusive package and you get part of it. In our case, NO funpack, we asked for additionnal ropes to secure the boat better on the dock, nothing.

We rented a boat for three days with Mike two weeks ago and had a great experience. Mike delivered the boat a day early so we could go out on the water first thing the next morning, and picked up the boat the day after our rental period was over. The boat was in a good condition and nicely cleaned when it was delived to our rental home. Mike offered to pick me up and bring the boat to our rental home together, providing me with the necessary information about how the boat is being handled, docked etc. Fees were as agreed upfront. I will definitely rent again with Mike when Im in the area.

Scam is all I can say, the night before delivery for a weekly rental the owner told me cash only or find another rental which left us scrambling to find a boat at last minute

Nice boat but be aware that the owner will do about anything to charge you for things he can possibly think of. Instructions are included in the rent and one day before delivery of the boat I received an email with the question: Do you think a lesson wil be necessary? Because we already mentioned that we didnt have any experience I answered Yes, a lesson will be necessary assuming that he was talking about the instructions. While the owner was giving instructions to my husband and friend they went for a little boat ride (approx. 10 minutes). In the mean time his colleague is handing over the paperwork to me to sign. Then I noticed that they charged us $ 50,00 extra for the lesson! When I told the colleague that instructions were included she told me that instructions and a lesson are not the same thing and the little boat ride of 10 minutes was the lesson! Obviously this little play was well organised.When the owner (Mike) came to pick up the boat again he already went to the back of the house before he came to the door and already lifted down the boat back in the water. When he came to the door he said he was in a hurry and went through the house back to the boat again and told us that we drove outside the safe waterways and didnt return € 150,00 deposit because the boat needed an out of water inspection. Now we inmediately knew why he already lifted down the boat. This way we couldnt show him anymore that the boat wasnt damaged at all.We took picturs one hour before the owner came and you can see perfectly well that the boat didnt hit the bottom at all! Mike was just searching for a way to hold back the deposit. I would never, ever rent a boat with him again!!

The boats are new and in top condition. We have seen it differently with other providers. Time is taken for the briefing and the contact is always friendly, competent and binding. Well be renting here again next time. Regarding the complaints in other comments: The rental conditions are accessible to everyone on the website. The claim to be able to cancel just like that free of charge is incomprehensible to me. A contract is a contract and nobody is forced to make a binding booking in advance during the Corona period. Perhaps some do not understand that a small or medium-sized company cannot be compared to a large airline. The rental conditions are fair and the risks are fairly distributed.

Its been a while, but now I wanted to give my opinion. Thanks to Corona, entry was banned at that time. The deposit that had already been paid was not refunded to us on the grounds that the boat was ready. Therefore I cannot recommend this unfriendly guy and his dubious machinations.

After many, really many boat rentals, a few of which were good, some acceptable and far too many really bad, this year we rented a boat from Mikes Cape Coral Charter Boats. And after a week I have to say, once and ..... again and again, absolutely top, the best we have in Cape Coral / Ft. Myers when it comes to boat rentals. 1A well-maintained boat, with all accessories, not only with what needs to be in, but also with everything that should be in. From handover to return, punctual, fair, courteous and competent.

Very good and easy handling.There was a detailed theoretical instruction in German and a practical on the boat. Although there was a week probably problems with the actually booked boat, a good replacement was found. Everything else was stress free. The deposit was back after a few days.

Renting the boat was without a doubt one, if not the, highlight of our vacation.I can only report positive things about criticism.We were very satisfied with the process, the handling of the contract and the briefing on the boat and had nothing to complain about at any point.If we want to rent a boat again, we know who to turn to.

CAUTION with this landlord !!!!The pure rip off. In times of Corona, the landlord showed zero tolerance and made several references to his general terms and conditions. Mainly I will copy quotes from the mail traffic here in this review. So everyone can form their own opinion .......... we can only proceed strictly according to the agreed cancellation rules.For completeness we copy our rental conditions / cancellation conditions here again:2.5. CancellationsA cancellation within 14 days until the booking date is not possible!Cancellation is possible within 30 days before the booking date. Here the cancellation fee is 50% of the total rental price! ...... As we were only able to react very quickly due to the global corona crisis, we were within the 30 day period when I wrote to Mike Schymalla and asked for the simplest possible solution. We would have been happy to simply postpone the date by one year and we would also have been willing to grant the $ 425 deposit already made as an interest-free loan until next year.What was then answered to us:... If you have paid the remaining rental payment (50% = $ 425) to us by the original rental date (05.05.2020),you can rebook your entire booking at a time of your choice without any additional costs / fees. So again to understand. Already $ 425 was paid and so that only one calendar entry is changed, we should pay another $ 425 (remaining amount) !!!!!After several emails, he went down to $ 100 for the change in the calendar and the remaining $ 425 are then payable on site. So another $ 100 on top of the total price. So we should have paid $ 425 (already paid) + $ 100 = $ 525, for which no consideration has been paid so far. The following came back as an argument:.... we have a valid rental agreement which you cannot comply with through no fault of your own. The reason for the prevention is annoying, but it does not matter here. According to our cancellation policy, your cancellation fee is $ 425 today. I have reserved your boat for you as agreed and kept free, so I kept my side of the agreement .... He also gave no guarantee as to what would happen if the company ceased to exist next year and he could not have kept his part of the contract. Then he gives us the guarantee that we will get our deposit back. We are still waiting for this answer ....Now everyone can get their own picture of whether this is a fair solution. In any case, we no longer want to have anything to do with this landlord and have canceled. He should take an example from other boat rental companies in CapeCoral that offer a free rebooking. And maybe future tenants should consider whether they may not have to recoup the lost income - keyword deposit.

Not recommended if there is an unusual situation like Covid-19. We are affected by the entry stop and have therefore postponed our vacation by one year. Mr. Schymalla was completely unreasonable and insisted on his terms and conditions. Which ultimately forced us to cancel and withheld the down payment already paid. He just said the boat is ready. So you have to pay or cancel. Joke how should we use it when we are not allowed to enter. We tried to negotiate with him and find a sensible solution for both sides, but in the end he wanted more money from us and then called the additional amount of $ 100 change fee. Conclusion: stay away from the times of Covid-19, this is trying to rip off the customer. Better not do business with such an anti-social and profit-loving person.

After a detailed briefing I Decided to take on additional driving lesson and can only recommend this for all beginners. Afterwards I felt really well prepared and safe. Absolutely unreliable when it comes to appointments.We were transferred twice, although a time was agreed for the preliminary discussion.After the second time we decided against Charter Boats, because it is just outrageous to deal with the customer.We are also self-employed in Germany, and if we were to deal with our customers, we would soon no longer have any customers.In our opinion not recommended.
