First time back since COVID started, Went on a Sunday. Food was excellent especially the bread and deserts. The girls working the floor are extremely attentive. Highly recommend.

Fried chicken tasted like the oil should have been cleaned / changed before cooking chicken. Fried fish over cooked , broiled fish rubbery. The best thing I ate was the brussel sprouts ? They were perfectly cooked. I quit going there a couple years ago after getting under cooked BBQ chicken but thought Id give them another try. Apparently training is a MAJOR issue , if you over / under cook something throw it out , I wont go back. My wife and I used to go to one in Virginia and never had a bad experience.

Had a battle with the steak cook. I wanted whole steaks, but was told I had to come back for little pieces- so I made 10 or 12 trips. Couldnt find the management. Otherwise, theyve immensely improved as this location had deficiencies in the past, server was friendly. Still needs a deep clean, though.Edit: returned in September, now steak is all you can eat. Had four huge slab sized cooked to order perfectly. (I’m a triathlete lol.) Cleaner, esp the restroom- though the dining area carpet is still sad. Server was great, along with other staff. Now five stars from two. Effort to improve has been shown. I’ll go weekly to load up on protein!

I suppose it was ok. The server was really nice. But the food was tired.

I was expecting good food. I however didnt get that. Rice was extremely undercooked I couldve broken a tooth. Just terrible everything. I wont be going back and neither should others.

Today, 7/10/2021 my husband and I went for lunch at the Golden Corral. We have eaten here many times and usually have enjoyed our meal. Today was an exception. All the food containers were practically empty and the ones we chose were terrible. Example: Barbeque chicken tasted sour. Brussel sprouts had to be cut with a sharp knife. tacos were cold. dressing was not cooked. all the ingredients were crunchy. I could go on and on. Just thought you should know. the employees were hiding.

Food quality was good and fresh. Place was very clean and sanitary. Felt come dining there. Waitress was very good with our drink service. Price was a little high but it is a buffet. Not my first choice because you always tend to overeat! If you cant find something that you like here then you are not going to be happy with any place!

Worst Golden Corral I’ve been to. The people making the food were absolutely rude and didn’t care at all about the food they were serving. The food was disgusting and the pudding was warm and chunky. I will not be going back. The only thing nice about the restaurant was our waitress who never failed to check on us and fill drink/take plates. This golden corral should not be up and running.

Im currently a employee just got back working here and this place is getting better than before and lets keep up the good work

Jaime behind the grill cooked up an amazing steak compliments to the chef! Accompanied by a loaded baked potato and mushrooms, fire! Kids loved the dessert of course. Well be back!

The food was ok. The service was great. A great value for the money. Will definitely return to this location. Was very clean and well lit. But the meatloaf was missing something.

I have to admit that I was surprised. Since I moved from Nebraska I dont have a good experience with places like golden corral. This is the first time here in Florida that I have good experience. Nice food nice taste and nice service.

Very clean! Lots of choices. Tried out the meatloaf it was really great. Our server was fantastic, our glasses were never empty.

My experience was a disappointment. Steaks were not being grilled in front of the customers. Vegetables were way overcooked. Selection was not great. Many desserts were not being offered this time. The ceiling had a leak and my party or group got rained on.Some young children were very unruly and rambunctious. Their behavior was inappropriate. Meanwhile an adult man spoke too loudly on his smartphone. He really had no business talking on the phone inside the restaurant.Our wait person was slow about brewing and serving the coffee too. However, she was very good about taking dirty plates. Overall, the experience today at the cape coral store was dissatisfying.

Great place great food. I used to go often before covid. They are open again Thurs thru Sun.

Very poor experience. Lots of holes on the buffet, the restaurant was filthy, and the COVID restrictions (although great plans) just werent enforced, including masks and gloves. $130 for lots of missing items. Server was really nice and it was only her second day. She kept our drinks full and tried her best. Kudos to her in a no win experience.

Lots of variety. Food was fresh and well maintained. Very clean establishment with friendly, attentive staff.

Youre not missing out. Paid $20 ( for two people) the buffet wasnt stocked well. The employee at the salad bar that was stocking lettuce didnt change her gloves after touching cleaning chemicals and still continued to touch food afterwards. They encourage customers to change their gloves when going to the buffet..... How about the employees learn how to change out gloves before they get someone sick.Food was gross, tasteless and cold.

The food was delicious Ive been going here for years because the kids love it never a big fan but today everything was extra tasty had chicken shrimp mash potatoes and a roll and for dessert bread pudding that was fantastic all and all couldnt be happier with a d the price was right!!!

This place is disgusting! First thing I noticed was the filth walking in. The smell of mold and cigarettes overwhelms you. The food is stale and hard as a rocks looks like it’s been sitting there for days. Overall just disgusting. Health department needs to visit this place ASAP !

Food is good here, but the service is awful, there were 4 waitresses talking standing in front of the buffet and none of them bring me the silverware. The first thing they do in a buffet is prepare the table with silverware ... finally I had to go and get it my self.

I have been to several Golden corrals and this one was not very good. The chicken livers tasted bitter and the fish was old with tough skin on it. Overall food quality seemed really poor. I wont go back to this Golden corral. I found the Golden corral in punta Gorda off 41 to be great. I dont mind the extra 30 minute drive for good quality food.

The steaks were cooked perfectly as requested and were hot, juicy, and delicious. The other foods I tried from the buffets were also hot and tasty. All around I really enjoyed the food, a great deal for the price!

Just went today after it opened again due to the pandemic and the food was dry, floors discusting, you would think they would have used the time close to clean but no, spoke to the kitchen manager and his excuse was we are between shift, desert was terrible, I will definitely not be coming there ever again and will tell everyone I know

Its the corral, so theres already a hurdle. Came into an extremely hot eating area. Mentioned to server, to cook at meat station. Server mentioned to manager. His response was that had been hot all day. Our server offered for us to use party/reserved room. It had its own ac unit. Server definitely redeemed the meal. Surprised by managers lack of concern. I am a stage 4 cancer patient a warning before we payed and entered would have been a common decency.

Place was clean. Waitresses were observant and helpful. Food was good, but not spectacular. Overall pretty good.

I really like this Golden Corral. Never any issues or problem and staff is great.

So happy theyre open again. Ill gladly wear a glove for a scoop of that deep fried okra... Would have been nicer with a side of fried clams or those tiny little deep fried shrimps. Im drooling just thinking about the last time I had them. Must have been at dinner. We were there for lunch, and as usual everything was excellent. Our nice masked server brought me coffee for my dessert. It was a little pricey, but I left full and happy. Ill drive past the punta gorda location to eat here on our bi-monthly trip to B.J.s which is just around the corner. (Never shop hungry)

Hardly any salad toppings to choose from. Croutons were stale. Thought they were closed because of Covid-19 but recently opened back up again. Food was not that great. Thought being closed for as long as they were the food would have improved. At least there were no dead bugs in the window sills. Like the last time we were there.

Very disappointed! My family usually enjoys coming here. The food selection was very scarce. And what was up there wasnt fresh. My husband felt sick the rest of the night. Dont waste the money.

We got there just after 7:30 p.m. because Google and the sign on the doors both said they were open till 9 p.m. when we walked in we were rudely told us that they would be closing at 8 p.m. and when I told her that both online and their sign on the door so they were open till 9 p.m. she said oh well I dont know what to tell you.

Food was cold, rolls hard as a brick, ice cream one big runny mess. Desert selection left alot to be desired. I was absolutely not impressed by this place. If you pay 13.99 ea person I expect much better.

I returned to the golden corral after a long absence what with the year of covid 19. In going back there is much the same , the mediocre to pretty goid food , the wide variety of said food. They have changed a bit since reopening with posted signs everywhere to visitors to wear a plastic glove and their face mask when getting new platefuls. Sadly, i would say only about 60 percent are complying and one employee was working without mask. I will not be returning.

1/21/21 at 7 pm, came back to give them one last try, hoping they had improved since being closed due to covid. Meg, our waitress, was great. The manager, when he wasn’t in the office, walked around with his mask under his chin. ALL of the food was old/burnt. They didn’t have much fruit or many items on the salad bar. The clean plates had globs of old food on them. Won’t be back again.

Thanks God finally a place that uses common sense. If you want wear a mask, fine go ahead, but leaves us alone who dont. Glad they leave it up to personal choice and dont enforce nonsensical rules that do nothing. We actually drive from Punta Gorda to eat at this GC since Punta Gorda tries to force everyone to wear a mask. Worth the drive to actually be free to make my own decisions about mask. I work in the medical field every weekend around actual sick people, thats the time for mask, not out in public.

Sunday night dinner was very good. Glass was never empty, buffet was always stocked fresh. Will definitely be coming back.

Horrible horrible service.. food over cooked and dried dirty. Vary few choices in the salas bar beead was hard as a rock. In the desert station the ice cream machine not working and no sign completely shut down and when asked the girl that work that station she rudely responded it was not her problem wow that is just great customer service. Dont waste your hard earned money here

This casual restaurant is reasonably priced, with really good food. The yeast rolls are so fluffy, fried chicken crunchy and not dry. The grillers are friendly and will make your steak to order. The restrooms are maintained, and clean.

Air conditioner was broken and they had a door propped open, letting flies in. Food was old, some burnt. A bit disappointing.

Went during the week the food was good when again on the weekend food was the same butt pain $12 more for me and my wife. In the past you might get prime rib or something like that but not now you just pay more money for the weekend.

This place is disgusting... its been shut down multiple times. I dont even know how its still running...they have roaches and rats and the service and food is horrible.

How can a place keep getting worse to the point of no return. We use to enjoy eating there, but after tonight I will never waste my money there ever again. Food was cold, fish was so dry it could not be cut, tater tots were rock hard. I tried a lot of different stuff and it was either cold, literally burnt or extremely dry. Now lets talk about the lack of service. There were 5 empty plates on a table of 2. We had to call her over and ask her to remove them. I also explained to her why there was so much food still left on each plate. My glass wad empty when she came over to start with. Needless to say I never got anything else to drink except for the 1 glass I got myself when we came in. Manager was no where to be found. The vents over the drink station, food and salad bar were filthy. Cob wen on sign over drink station as you walk in. Beware, they are getting worse daily. Go somewhere else, at least you get warm good and better service.

Ahh it was okay. There were alot of flies around the tables and open buffet. Had to swat them away. You feel so gross after eating there.

Basically spent 40 dollars on popcorn shrimp and cheesecake. Everything else had the taste and consistency of the food you ate for dinner last Wednesday and are reheating for Friday’s lunch. They should really have a timer on how long food is allowed to sit on the buffet before it gets remade. Everything was either hard or mushy. There wasn’t one thing that was good. I’ve ate here before and each time it’s gotten worse.

Limited availability of food. Plates where not clean. There where Nate on the table , I knows it Florida but come on man. That’s just gross. Oh yeah when they grill guy stated that the only good looking steak was already claim in a almost deserted restaurant was a highlight. I hope he enjoyed his stake. Weak sauce first and last time.
