I love going here. I have always relied on theyre expertise especially when my animals have been misdiagnosed or not cared for appropriately. They see you in a timely manner and for me do the best they can to fix or educate me about what care my furbabies need to correctly treat them. It had been a struggle to get out there because of the distance and my health but Im definitely going to make it a priority. Everyone there is so kind and understanding and really care about animals. They spend the time needed for you and your family.

Dr.Dusty Demere is a great vet, however I have never been more disappointed in the way business was done today! My dog unfortunately had a skin condition and needs to be on medication. As I’m checking out the lady tells me that the total will be $81. I say ok and hand her my debit card. When I get to my car and look at the receipt and realized I had been charge $181. I immediately call and explain I was not aware of the cost and believe that cost to be extremely unreasonable for a 1 month supply. I am then told that there is an alternative medication that would cost $20 or I could give her OTC Benadryl. I agree to the do the alternative and am then told that they can’t take the medication back but I can donate it back to the with out a refund or credit. But they would give me the first month of the alternative medication for free. Keep in mind I had not left there parking lot. This made absolutely zero sense to me. I’m not allowed a refund or an account credit but you will take the pills back as a donation and still charge me for the new medication. I feel like I was completely scammed and have never been so disappointed.I want to make it clear that Dr. Dusty Demere is a great vet and is very good at his job but this whole situation could have been prevented. And leading with the affordable alternative medication would have been a better solution and if it did not work move to the next solution.

After the treatment my poor pup and I received, I will never return here. They tried to misdiagnose my dog saying he had Parvo and he clearly did not. Not once did I see the actual vet and then when it came time to leave...they were deadset on making me place my dog in my car when it was 105 degrees outside before I paid because he had parvo. This all happened on Thursday June 24th. I took my dog home and he is doing just fine now. I highly recommend you look other places for treatment of your animals. Had I actually believe the parvo diagnosis..I would have spent almost $1000 treating him for something he didnt even have.

Yesterday we had one of the worst days you can have as a dog parent. Our sweet puppy Dolly had an irreparable mass sitting atop her heart and was near her end. The staff was so kind to us before, during, and after the procedure of putting Dolly to sleep. It was near closing time and they didn’t mind at all. They made a horrible situation bearable. Everyone from the receptionist, the vet techs, and the veterinarian himself were all compassionate and sincere. We really appreciated their service to us and will recommend them whole heartedly.

I needed to get both of my dogs seen in a timely manner and timber creek did not fail! They accepted both of my dogs, not new clients, and got us in as fast as they could. The doc and staff were all so kind and informative in every aspect. Annie was very sweet, as well as the tech. The doctor took the time to explain things to me, even though he was swamped. My dogs have chronic health issues and I just found my favorite vet! Thank you Timber Creek!!!

I had to take my puppy to another vet yesterday to have her spayed because I adopted her. The whole experience yesterday was terrible. Today I called to see if Timbercreek would take her staples out and she said of course and there is no charge as long as there’s no infection. I’ve used Timbercreek for years and love how kind they are and give the best care anywhere.

Took my puppy here for a spay and rabies vaccination. Every person I came in contact with (over the phone and in person) was extremely pleasant. I am new puppy Mommy so I called several times with questions and the woman on the phone was always patient and helpful. When I dropped my puppy off she peed several times because she was scared to be in an unfamiliar place. They cleaned it up and told me not to worry because it happens all of the time. When I picked my puppy up my toddler was cranky and the front desk woman was so patient and let him help her with her credit machine receipts. The prices are unbeatable and the patient care in more than I could have asked for.. Thank you to everyone at Timber Creek for an exceptional experience! Your patience was so extremely appreciated!

Vet technician took my dogs drainage tube out way too early. Came back in a few days later with his incision filled with fluid. We took our little kitten to Timber Creek (which was left at our home) to find out how old it was . Everyone there was so nice and friendly - office area very clean for the number of small animals that were in the waiting area. Sara came to check our kitten, told us approximately how old and also discovered it had little mites in ears. Took the following week to have him neutered. Again everyone there very friendly and helpful. Thanks Office Staff, Sara and Chris!

While I wish i could say I had a good experience, I definitely did not. I have taken my cats there before just for shots, but this time around it was for an abscess on my cat’s neck. It took over 2 hours to be seen and I had work that day, which I did not make it to. The vet was not very kind and seemed like he hated his job. I will not be back in the future. Little to no care about the wellbeing of my kitty made menervous, but he’s home and comfortable.

I have had 2 cats neutered at Timber Creek within the past 6 months and the experience has been excellent both times. Yes, drop off and pick up can sometimes be time consuming but they do a great job as quickly and efficiently as I see they can. When picking up Charlie on Friday it did seem like it took a little longer than other pets before me. When he was brought out the gentleman apologized for the extra wait but said Charlie had thrown up on himself a little from the anesthesia so he cleaned Charlie up before bringing him to me. I was very touched by that, would not have happened at my previous vet. Extremely satisfied and will continue going there

I have been going there for awhile and there are very nice people there but just be prepared for a LONG WAIT. It is usually 45 minutes before you are able to get into a backroom. Then there is a 15 minute wait. I had to go to another vet because I just dont have the time to wait that long.

We first came to this vet after a friend recommended them years ago. We have three dogs..a Siberian husky male, husky/lab female, and a daughter from the two. We have brought them in for booster shots and rabies vaccines, had one female spayed, and a couple of checkups in between. Over the course of roughly three and a half years we have zero complaints.Their prices are better than most if not all vets around the area and we have never had to wait an unreasonable amount of time to be seen. Will continue to come here.

After being unsatisfied with the level of compassion and customer service at 3 other local vet offices in Amarillo, someone referred me to Timber Creek. I have been taking all of my pets there now for about a year or so. I have had to go in multiple times since I found this place and every time the staff has been very polite and courteous to not only me but my pets as well. I have never had a long wait even on the days it has been so busy that there are people standing and waiting outside I was still out in under 40 minutes. Thats pretty good I think considering how long we wait in a doctors office with 2 people in front of us lol:) It is by far the cleanest vets office I think I have ever been in which says a lot for them considering how many people come and go throughout each day. They are very fair on their prices and I have never had a problem communicating with them on what I can afford and still get my pets help when needed. I have and will continue to refer anyone I know who is looking for a vet to Timber Creek because I am grateful for the kind and caring atmosphere they provide at their office.

I wish I didnt even have to give this place one star. I adopted a dog from the humane society, and was forced to go to this vet without any prior knowledge about them. If you go, be prepared to wait a long time. Dropping off my dog to be neutered was about a 45 minute wait and it was the same to pick him up. It seems as if they just cram in as many spaying and neutering as they can. Also be prepared to pay exorbitant prices that are not competitive whatsoever. Now Im having to take my dog to another vet because my dog is lethargic, not eating or drinking four days after surgery. If you love animals, do not take yours to this clinic!

I would not even give this place one star. Our cat was spayed on Thursday. By Friday she was still laying around. We paid extra money for meds that were not given. By Monday she was extremely sick with a severe respiratory infection. She is now at our primary vet on fluids and being treated. We contracted timber creek and the vet got into a yelling match with my daughter at which he then hung up on her. Please dont take your animals to this place. They are horrible

Our sweet puppy contracted the Parvovirus and Dr. Demere and his team took my pup in right away. They took time in answering all of my questions I had about the situation and explained everything thoroughly. When it was time to take her home, it seemed as if we took her home a little earlier than we should have, so I called and they wanted her back immediately to hook her back up to an IV. Had they not explained in depth what Parvo is and the whole process to me, I probably wouldnt have been so aggressive for her. I am thankful for this clinic and the team. They were very attentive and always nice every time I called to check up on my pup. Forever will be grateful for them for saving her!My older GSD has been coming to this clinic as well and they are always so wonderful to her - especially the receptionist. Its always nice going in somewhere you feel comfortable leaving your pets.

We had taken our 4 dogs there since about 5 yrs until recently. They mis-diagnosed our great pyranese and she nearly died. I pulled all 4 of my dogs records from there last week. She had pneumonia and these idiots were too stupid to figure it out.. I would not recommend taking a pet rat to these vets. Dusty is never there and those two women vets do not know what they are doing. He has gotten very hateful. I took my sick dog to Dr. Barber at Swann Vet Clinic on Hillside and she correctly diagnosed my dog and saved her life. Otherwise if we had kept her at Timber Creek she would be dead now.

Extremely disappointed with my experience with these guys. Went for X-rays on Friday for pups. Was told there was 7 or 8, and we had about a week. We had 9 pups the VERY NEXT DAY. I understand this stuff isnt point blank, there is human error, and x rays can be unclear, but this just added to the total experience. I went back on Monday with momma and pups for dew claw removal and post birth check up. My dog was bleeding quite a bit. I was told she was fine. Wednesday, 2 days later, she is still bleeding more than I think she should. So, I call and send a pic to the vet of her bleeding and bedding area. Was told again by a second vet at this facility that everything was fine. Against my better judgement, I trusted what I was told. We took her to a different vet yesterday (Thursday). She was anemic, on her death bed, had to have a blood transfusion, and be spayed. I have spent the last 17 hours bottle feeding 9 pups, and close to 1000 dollars in vet bills. All in all, its ultimately my fault for trusting these folks and not going to a different vet sooner. That is a mistake I will not make again.

Took our dog here after he had just been clipped by a car, called ahead to let them know it was an emergency, was told to leave him in the car and come sign him in. After I did this I stood around for 15 minutes with no sign of urgency, it took atleast 25 to 30 minutes before I lost my cool and confronted the receptionist, after this they finally went out and grabbed my dog. I have taken all my pups here for years and this is the first negative experience. I will be pulling all my pets paperwork and taking them somewhere else this was unacceptable

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that took the time to write a review on Timber Creek Small Animal Hospitals website. For the reviews that were kind and supportive I would like to show our appreciation for the positive feedback. As for as the negative reviews ,we will do our best to correct some of our deficiencies that will make us a better veterinary hospital. It is truly my goal to treat everyone with respect, courtesy and provide all clients and their animals with a professional experience. However, i do feel the need to address some of the negative reviews.#1. Eric Hill -- A review of the medical records indicated a normal amount of postpartum discharge two days after delivery. I am confused about the picture you said you sent? Could this scathing review be based on the fact you wrote us a hot Check and I turned you over to our check recovery department?#2. John Hazelwood -- I examined your cat on May 1, 2014, chief complaint was chronic diarrhea. According to the medical records the cat responded well to our medical treatment. The cat developed diarrhea again once medication was stopped, this is when i recommended further testing to determine the etiology behind the chronic bowel disease. Specific testing such as food allergy, parasitic and viral testing were highly recommended. At no time did I ever decline service to you or yourcat.#3. Tammy Miller -- I spoke to your daughter Laci Larrabee on March 14, 2016. She had adopted a cat through the Humane Society and I spayed her on March 10, 2016. The basis of our conversation was about post surgical pain. I told Lace that we gave an injection called Metacam at the time of surgery and that injection usually provides adequate pain control. At any time after surgery, other meds could have been prescribed to aid in pain control. She then said her cat had a respiratory infection and was being treated at another clinic and I was going to pay for it. I explained that the cat was adopted through the Humane Society and because of the incubation period associated with these diseases there was no way we would have known at the time of surgery. Once again she stated that I was going to pay for it.......due to the serious breakdown in communication, I told her that our conversation was over.In closing, Timber Creek will use this input towards improving our customer service and we will continue to strive to provide quality and professional veterinary services.

My fiances cat has been sick for about month and a half ever since she was spayed here. When we sought treatment from Timber Creek the vet said that well we can either just treat the symptoms which clearly is IBD. Today the vet said that they refused to further treat our cats IBD because we can not afford the approximately $100 in tests that would say that she either had or did not have an incurable disease that had caused the IBD. basically because we could not afford to perform basically useless tests as far as treating her disease. I highly encourage ANY ONE to look else where when looking at a vet for their pet. I spoke with Amarillo Humane Society to file a complaint since I had taken our cat there on their recommendation here and with out naming which vet vet of the ones they work with the person that answered the phone said oh you mean Timber Creek which tells me that the Humane society receives Many complaints on Timber Creek that have never put online or been removed to cover up poor performance of the vet. I spoke with another vet and was informed me that Timber creek was close to charging double cost for the tests preying on our cats ilness and our desperation to care for our sick pet.
