While we live on some sort invisible, floating, magical boundary on 306 where we have to go to all the way to NB to pick up our mail- when the PO is minutes away-someone has to be on a boundary--and it is extremely inconvenient, I feel that our postal carrier VIC is doing the best job he can. We also appreciate the employees at the CL TX post office for their kind service. The lines are long, but normally, the company is good. It could be way worse, but opening for two hours on Saturday seems like a waste of time...Thats my two cents.

THIS IS MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, NOT THAT OF THE LODGE BUT I ORDERED SOMETHING THAT CAME FROM CANADA IT HAD BOTH MY PO BOX AND PHYSICAL ADDRESS ON IT. THEY SENT IT BACK TO CANADA SAYING THERE WAS NO SUCH ADDRESS. THEY DO NOT DELIVER MAIL HERE HENCE IS WHY I HAD BOTH ADDRESSES ON THE ORDER. THEY COULD HAVE SEEN THE PO BOX NUMBER BUT BECAUSE IT HAD BOTH ADDRESSES THEY SENT IT BACK. IT TOOK NEARLY 2 MONTHS FOR ME TO FINALLY RECEIVE IT. I COULDNT EVEN INTERCEPT THE PACKAGE NOT SURE WHY ALTHOUGH THE TELLER TOLD ME TO CONTACT THEM TO DO THAT. HOW HARD WOULD IT HAVE BEEN FOR THEM TO MAKE A CALL ON MY BEHALF TO REROUTE MY PACKAGE BACK TO ME WHILE STILL IN THEIR POSSESSION?THIS IS THE WORST IVE EXPERIENCED BUT NOT THE ONLY THING THAT HAS HAPPENED. I SENT MY MOTHER-IN-LAW A BIRTHDAY CARD TO CALIFORNIA BUT SHE NEVER GOT IT! I DROPPED IT AT POST OFFICE, IM FAMILIAR WITH THE CALIFORNIA LOCATION SO IM INCLINED TO BELIEVE IT WENT MISSING IN TEXAS.

Place is FILTHY. Like PLEASE mop, wipe windows & sanitize the tpuch points. GROSS DISGUSTING PLACE

Been having a really good run with packages and mail getting to their destination in good time and condition.

Over 1in of water in the post office and there are absolutely no warning signs, all the doors are unlocked even though there are clearly people inside.. This is a not just SAFETY HAZARD but also absolutely lazy, selfish and uncaring behavior. They obviously have no care for the individual(s) coming to their location. Not even basic signage stating that that are closed due to any issues what so ever.

I sure hope the worker that drives the white excursion has a better work ethic then driving ability. I don’t know about you but I don’t like to have my children’s life to be put at risk because someone didn’t leave in enough time to drive the speed limit and get to work on time.

Multiple times Packages not received.

An anatomically correct saw horse has more usefulness that this Post Office. They claim to have attempted delivery of my Amazon package on Saturday morning. My security camera clearly shows the delivery driver put the attempted delivery sheet in mailbox and drive off (I was home too). I called the branch today only to be treated rudely. The lady that answered said my package was there and that I could come pick it up. Im sorry, but that is not how this works. I paid for delivery, you deliver it. The ineptitude and laziness is infuriating.

The personnel are gracious under fire. in other words, undermanned and carrying the extra workload created by mismanagement at the headquarter levels. government job but not federally funded. they earn their pay one stamp sold at a time, one letter delivered at a time. computers make mistakes, humans correct the A I errors. the human eye and hand ensure the best service for customers like you and me.

Paid extra for expedited Xmas present to be delivered to our PO box on Xmas eve. Message from the seller stated the package was left in a larger numbered locker used for overflow. Post office didnt leave the locker key in my po box, and office was closed when I arrived. This was an important present that cant be given until after Xmas now.

Only one teller. But they are all helpful and pleasant except the new guy.

I think some of you haters on here have the wrong canyon lake. (There is also one in CA somewhere.) Or maybe youve never done service work before. Ive been here 15 years and do a lot of stuff with our post office here and they are awesome! They handle one of the fastest growing areas in Texas and with few staff. We are lucky we even have a post office since so many have closed. Slow down people. We live in the country for a reason! You should see the lines and problems with big city post offices. I for one, appreciate my postal workers. Thanks for all your hard work year round guys!

I love using the Post office. They are always very courteous and friendly. Yes, its a country post office and they might not always get everything right. When I had an issue with a package not being delivered, the staff handled it very professionally.

In the Canyon Lake Forest area, i have had no problem receiving or sending mail. I called the post office at 8:15 AM even though google says they are open from 9:00 to 4:00 and someone answered. Post offices get busy and I rarely expect to get an answer mid day when calling though I wish they had voicemail. I talked to Linda who is the carrier on our route to ask about restrictions on putting up a mail box and she was very polite and helpful. I am only giving 4 stars because I feel every business should have voicemail to accommodate busy times.

Was expecting the delivery today - notes attempted delivery we were both home all day and we are still here. We paid extra and needed this for a job on Monday morning.

This place is very disrespectful, there taking control of are packages telling us were not getting them and there gonna send them back where they came from is very unprofessional, I told them to put my packages on mail hold and they said if it gone its gone at 4am back to where it came from and its not hes problem.I paid money for these items!who! are you to hold my Packages and to send my package back!!!!!!!!!!!I want my packages or your gonna get sued!!

In all more years Ive never seen such poor service by postal workers. My regular carrier is wonderful however, every time there is a substitute carrier there are issues. On two occasions my mail and packages were returned with USPS message of moved with no forwarding. Just yesterday I saw the sub carrier out and my outgoing was not picked up. Then this morning I received a package delivery notice saying he couldnt deliver. This is on the verge of becoming criminal. When reported at the office I was met with rudeness as I asked the employee to ensure I would be getting mail as I had NOT moved. She wouldnt bother to check and took a note down for my regular carrier, whom I had already stated was NOT the one delivering on January 11. Now I have to return again this am to see if I can get yesterdays mail and packages people to being sent back.

I was expecting a horror story after reading the reviews, but had to go in on a busy Saturday to get a mailbox assignment. However, there were three friendly, helpful postal employees behind the counter who were doing their best to consolidate and manage work loads, all with a smile. One star off because its a little difficult to reach them by phone and because our mail carrier didnt take a package to our door though we are well within the half-mile distance limit.

Consistently doesn’t deliver packages... leaves redelivery notices but be never redeliver then they throw packages out after 2 weeks. Just say sorry when you show up and package is gone

Called today to get a mail forwarding issue resolved, been waiting on someone from USPS Main Office in San Antonio to call about the open case number, and I spoke to Greg who advised me that he was aware of the situation and would take care of it! Just like that! Thanks guys!

Pkg not here. Called to discuss with them and their automated phone system is not working, so it just tells you they have an issue and hangs up. The USPS should just close its doors. They are so poor at providing service and their competitors rarely miss. Im for shutting the whole thing down and do it in a way that does not fund the pensions of all the incompetent employees.

I am constantly having to complain about my mail carrier, she is either putting my packages on the top of my stairs where anyone could drive by and take them, driving into my driveway to backup instead of using the culdesac at the end of the road. She even wore a rut in front of my mailbox. SHE didnt even attempt to deliver my certified letter, just put a notice in my box that she made a first attempt, I have a ring doorbell and she never came to my door! Then today I get my neighbors mail in my box! If I gotta deliver the mail, I should be paid for it!! My carrier isnt delivering by herself, there is a young man like 15 or 17 putting mail In the boxes. I called them at 1120 am to let the Post Office know and they dont even answer the phone and they close at 12! Im so done with the management at this post office, they dont seem to even care about my concerns!!

Constantly delivering mail to the wrong people and marking packages as delivery attempt when they didnt attempt to deliver it at all, which pretty much means somebody in the chain there is just lying. For the longest time, I thought this had to do with the community not complaining, but now I see that its just that this post office doesnt care what the community thinks. It honestly baffles me that USPS hasnt come down here and told them straighten up.

Went to pick up our mail and and ALL 5 boxs on one side were ALL wide open loaded with mail. Second time in 3 months.

We have had 3 years of issues with getting packages delivered. After making several complaints over the last few months, today we were told that if packages dont fit in the contracted workers car, they dont have to deliver them that day. So much for paying for Amazon Prime 2 day delivery.The sad thing is no one seems to want to make things better. Packages at Christmas time is a joke. I lost count of how many Christmas cards and boxes I took to neighbors.

This is not the post office for canyon lake....the main post office, the actual post office is in sattler 6 miles down the road.Here you can buy stamps and send out mail!! They do not do international mail or registered mail. On the plus side you can drop off your mail and buy stamps till 8pm.The store is really nice with lots of neat things to buy and good snacks with a friendly staff.

I am sorry that it took filing investigation requests with the Postmaster General to get the situation with my mail being held resolved, but this post office resolved it and has delivered my mail and packages regularly since. Thanks to Arthena Wallace, the Postmaster here in Canyon Lake giving the situation the attention it needed.

No carrier even attempted to deliver to my house was home even called post office at 3pm said running behind that was a lie. Then at 728pm get email notice my pkg was not deliver to refer to notice thats a joke no carrier even came to house no notice in box and my video cameras confirm no attempt made to drop off pkg or mail. You call post office no answer or busy signal. Found out whole subdivision was never delivered to either so carrier just didnt do job.

WORST SERVICE EVER!!! I pay extra or push vendors to use any other provider than USPS every chance I get. Our packages are constantly delivered to the wrong address (most of which we never receive), you can hardly ever get anyone to answer the phone (I swear they take it off the hook) because it either just rings or gives you fast busys, and on the rare occasion someone does pick up, they treat you rudely and act annoyed with you. During the holidays or times they bring on extra help it turns into a complete mess, with multiple packages being lost or never delivered. We have a new hammered bronze mailbox that we placed stick on numbers on. The edges were starting to curl up slightly from the heat, so we purchased new ones to replace them - before we could even place them onto our mailbox, the carrier took a black permanent marker and had written our house number HUGE across it!!! We could not believe it!!! - esp considering our house numbers are clearly visible and our mailbox is right in front of our home. I could go on, but it seems to be a lost cause and colossal waste of my time. They just dont care.

Constantly get Attempted to deliver notices in mailbox when I know they did not even try because I work from home, and someone is here all day. After failing to deliver, I went to the post office to pick up in person, I arrived at 3:53 pm and was told that they were closed (closing time was 4 pm) I told them nicely it was 7 mins till close and I was there on time, and the girl behind the counter threatened to call the police on me if I did not leave. Worst post office ever!!! If you are tired of these folks I suggest Freedom Mail center down the street, good folks with a business mindset.

No one ever answers the phone at this location. Our packages never get delivered. We always have to pick them up. The status always says attempted but no attempt is ever made. The location is 20 minutes from us and I always have to make arrangements to pick up my delivery. This location needs to review their process and really take consideration that they are providing a paid service for the customer. Really aggravating.

I was told my packages were gonna be delivered to my door at a 10:30 am 2 days ago and I still havent got nothing i even talked to a supervisor and my friends package was delivered to the door but where are mine. Who know

Worst service (counter) EVER!!! 6-10 people numerous times in line, only one clerk 90% of the time. Will never call anyone up front to help. One time they did ask for help from the back & I heard the employee say I dont know how.Carrier service on my route is EXCELLENT.

Today is 2-15-19 it is 3:45 pm and who ever the driver was over near tom creek hills is wreckless and should be fired. He was flying going about 55 down the road when speed limit is 25, i have 2 small children we were riding bikes and almost didnt get out of the way in time he is lucky i didnt call the police but his manager will hear about this.

Lazy and incompetent every single one of them! Ordered a jack hammer from Amazon only to find out it wasn’t delivered just bc it ‘didn’t fit our mail box’! Lol! How about the lazy woman actually getting out of her ugly car and bring the package into my yard?!We were home all day and NO delivery was ‘attempted’. These people never answer to phone either! Government employees that’s what we get!

Pretty much a horrible experience every day with our carrier. Boxes left unlocked, missing packages, attempted deliveries at 7 AM (yeah right) and many times items are never received at all. Community is vocal and constantly complaining about the contracted workers but nothing is ever done. The worst mail service Ive ever had the misfortune of experiencing.

This post office has been awful for years now. They lose packages, break contents, refuse to answer the phone DURING business hours. Complaints do nothing. Calling other postal offices including the one that is suppose to be the supervisor over this office does nothing....I am at a loss. If you know how to report mail abuse...customer service fraud and anything else this office can do wrong...they HAVE...please advise me where to call, write ...hell, send horseback rider too?????????? UGH!!!

I have sent in edits to google. Tried going to the post office again using google. It takes you to a tiny tax office next to a gas station. The USPS is 5 miles further down the road. 5 miles off! The Sattler area has the post office not Startzville.

This post office needs people who work. I called 5mis till 4 nobody answered so I let it ring for 5 mins then at 4pm when they close someone picked up the phone then hung it up. Sucks that this is the only post office.

This Canyon Lake location is so badly mismanaged I am tempted to sue them for damages. I moved from out of state and had my mail forwarded to a temporary address; but they are returning all my mail to senders. They refuse to deliver mail to my new address until I relocate my mailbox across the street, even though I put it where they told me to. I have talked to Postmaster twice, but still cant get mail forwarded. Unbelievable lack of competence.

Zero stars for this poor excuse of a post office. Dont waste your time.

Natalie at the Sattler PO was very helpful in tracking down my shoes. She contacted the mail carrier and then called me back after having located the shoes.The 3 star is because the carrier has often mistakingly place other peoples mail in my box.

Absolutely the least efficient, practically useless institution I know of. Just stick a fork in that ham hock and call it done, already.

Honestly, why must the carrier shove my packages in my mail box like he doesnt have a care in the world that he might ruin what is in it? There are larger boxes to put packages in but they dont give a hoot. I had a photo in one of them and it is all bent up. Thanks for not taking pride in your job. This is an ongoing issue and probably wont get any better.

There isnt a negative rating past one star and there should be. I have been trying to locate the package that was mailed to me from Canyon Lake with my sons phone in it.......this has been going on since July and the package has mysteriously disappeared. They have no record of it and the bar codes that were placed on the box(in person by the mail carrier) was never scanned. NOW the box is missing and the mail carriers for this branch are now stating that the package never existed. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! The funny thing is.....when I check my phone carrier service online....how in the hell does a cell phone have ACTIVITY on it, when it hasent been in mine or my sons possession for the month that we are showing activity????? I will be filing a report for a stolen phone with the Canyon Lake (Comel County) Sheriffs office....oh but wait, I have to get someone to answer the damn phone!

If i didnt think this post office could get any worse they surprise me. Now they have an automated message phone number that infuriates me more than it should. So now they dont have a reason to answer their phones. I just wanted to tell them for the hundredth time to hold my freaking package even though they should know by now to hold my packages instead of leave them on top of my mail box near all of my neighborhood mailboxes like they have been doing.If it doesnt fit in the box take it back to the store and leave me a note that says its there. I dont mind picking it up but i swear to god if one of my neighbors steals my package i will come down there and get pissed!I cannot believe that a government ran business doesnt take their jobs seriously. Heck they could go to prison for a lack of care...

Worst run post office Ive ever had the pleasure of working with. Rude, slow, slow, disgustingly lazy.If the package boxes are all full, they take your package back to the post office. They dont attempt to redeliver. So you have to wait in a long line for slow, rude service during the 10-4pm inconvenient hours. Not sure what local genius came up with that protocol.

When you try to call, it estimates more than an hour to talk to anyone. I have called 3 times and each time I have waited 45 minutes just to be disconnected. Just disconnect the phone number.

Have had THREE packages returned to sender THIS WEEK for a ridiculous address doesnt exist or some other stupid reason thats totally bogus since I got all my mail last week at the same exact address.
