Provided wonderful treatment. I came in for a cleaning and the dentist was great! I had a little chip on one of my molars as well, and was searching to have it corrected. Imperfections in my teeth drive me crazy. The dentist was so kind as to smooth and polish my molar, free of charge. The assistants were very helpful and sweet, as well as the front desk.

Just got home from CLS.Im impressed.Positive attitudes.Options discussed for treatment.Options discussed for payments.Discussed and agreed on a plan for going forward with more visits.Got todays issue fixed professionally ( and painlessly ). I recently moved to Canyon Lake from out of state and I needed to find a reliable Dentist. Thank God that Canyon Lake Smiles had just opened up for business in the community! When I showed up, I was greeted by friendly staff who helped me with scheduling an early appointment to fix my aching cavities. The prices were reasonable and I was given a discount on my X-rays.Soon after, all my following dental procedures were completed timely and professionally. My cavities were fixed! I actually had a real good experience. Friendly atmosphere and very clean. I would have given a 5 except this was my first time and I was given an out-of network dentist because the regular dentist was on vacation. My normal charge would have been $0, not the $59.24 I was charged. I was NOT told ahead of time that the dentist was out-of-network.

Both times I’ve been so far, everyone has been super kind and just wonderful. They’re very helpful with accommodating my needs, especially when emergencies happen, like an infected tooth. I like that they work with other offices so I’m able to get what I need done timely, efficiently, and inexpensively. Glad to have a good dentist out here that is close!

I researched a lot of different dental offices around Canyon Lake and New Braunfels. I needed a cleaning and x-rays. I found Canyon Lake Smile and Dr. Unger, the reviews were very positive so I made an appointment and it wasnt months aways like it can be at other practices, I believe it 3-4 days is all I waited.From the time I walked in the door to the time I left every person I came into contact with were very kind, informative and non-judgemental. I didnt have a long wait at all. I was so pleasantly surprised when Dr. Unger did the cleaning himself. Following that a wonderful tch by the name of Lindsey made the molds for the teeth whitening process and applied the fluoride. She had also done my x-rays and she was very gentle and she knew her stuff too!At the front were two amazing people, Crystal and Chawndra. Crystal explained the treatment plan with me and made it sound doable. Chawndra was very informative and so kind. The two of them helped ease my anxiety when I got there.Dr. Unger is amazing! He addressed all my questions and concerns and never talked over my head. He exuded a very caring manner. You could tell he wanted the best for his patients. I know this was long but when you come across a stellar practice like Canyon Lake Smiles you want to tell everyone.

I was having problems with a wisdom tooth and I was able to make an appointment the day of. Though I needed to be referred to an oral surgeon, they were still super helpful in getting me in contact with someone who could remove the tooth. They have a super clean office and everyone was very friendly and helpful. The dentist even did his best to try and help out some of my pain from the tooth. I will definitely comeback for other services. Y’all are all amazing that work there!

Normally when I go to the dentist it hurts. Even when they floss my teeth it’s like they force the floss between my teeth and rip it out like they’re trying to start a lawn mower.Dr. Unger was very gentle, took time to teach his new tech proper techniques, was very informative, and actually spent time to show me what I was looking at in my X-rays. So, I am that person who hates going to the dentist. I have extreme dental anxiety and put off going until my issues become extreme. The staff and doctor made me feel at ease, passed no judgment for my issues with dentistry and built a plan around my issues that I feel great about. First time in a very long time that I am feeling comfortable about about finishing my treatments.

They were able to get me in right away. Dr Unger was very thorough. He explained the best way to take care of my wisdom tooth. He referred me to an oral surgeon.

My experiences with Canyon Lake Smiles have been very pleasant and relaxed. From my first visit I was greeted by Amber with the smiles they represent in their name, very kind and accommodating. I was then taken to the chair by Sam the first visit and Nancy the second, all full of smiles and kindness. I was allowed to tune in to my favorite station on Roku TV that was positioned on wall in front of me, I chose Jazz from a Pandora station which provided me with relaxation while being treated. Dr Pan was very knowledgeable, kind and gentle in her approach to take care of my dental needs. I will definitely recommend this clinic to anyone wanting superb dental care. Let me tell yall this, Im TERRIFIED of the dentist and I avoid going at all costs but I had a soar tooth and hadnt had a cleaning in almost 10 years so I called this dental office and informed them of my major anxiety and that Id need drugs to help me even get thru a cleaning. They were all very nice and supportive of my fear and Dr. Christopher Unger was AMAZING!!!! He was very patient with me and understood my fears and made me feel less anxious. Thankfully I didnt need a filling and he administered nitrous oxide for my cleaning which helped my panic attack! I highly recommend this dentist and Ill be going back to him again for all my dental needs!!!

The staff is extremely kind, the doctor is a bit of a dork, but he’s does his job well and I haven’t had nearly as much pain getting fillings here as I did at my last dentist. my last dentist who did my fillings wasn’t as concerned with how she was doing them,and I left there with a ball of that stuff they cure on your teeth bothering me every time I ate. Me and my son go here and have had nothing but good experiences.

I’ve been searching for a local dentist that would take the time and explain the options I have for my much needed dental work. I was out of town for a few weeks and was pleasantly surprised to see a dentist opened literally right down the road from me! I have severe anxiety about dentists in general and have had very few pleasant visits. My first appointment was today and I very satisfied with both the staff and doctors at this location (Canyon Lake). They treated me with dignity, care, and respect. It was a refreshing and very welcoming first visit.

He was upfront about my treatment plan and it was surprisingly affordable. Everyone made me feel comfortable, easing any nerves I had. Dr Unger was calm and collected the whole way through. I was in terrible pain and even though they were busy they had me come in immediately and helped me! I had to bring my 2 small children with me and my baby was crying while I was getting my work done and everyone was so sweet, kind and helpful! This is the place to go!

This is a very clean facility. Everyone we encountered from front to back was very friendly and helpful. My son and I had a very positive experience. We already have our follow up appointments.

I joked with Dr Unger that he seemed so young and that actually describes a lot of the staff but they are great at what they do. This place saved me and is truly awesome. I really needed a good dentist that could accomodate me in a shorter time span. They did so and were very professional and kind.Dr Unger is a great listener and problem solver. I know that I can be a handful but it didnt seem to phase him. I got to talk to fun people, watch tv while waiting, and it was less painful than usual. On top of it, it was also affordable, plus if you live in Canyon Lake like me it is so convenient not to have to drive far for a dentist. In Canyon Lake you have to drive for everything. I am really happy that I stopped here though and I will be coming here from now on..or for as long as they will put up with me!

I dread the Dentist and the bill. I took a chance and went to a new office that opened close to home. What a treat. All my dental needs were taken care of in just a few visits and Im back on track with my dental care. I paid about half what I expected to pay. Im thrilled I have some place close that I can trust with my teeth and my wallet.

Took my niece here after getting a flyer in the mail. They were quick to make her an appointment for the next day. The office staff is very courteous and easy to work with. The dental care staff kept me updated on what was happening with her and the dentist was very thorough too. Glad to have a dental office here in Startzville so close to home.

I went to Canyon Lake Smiles for pain in my tooth. Dr Pan came in, told me I had a very large cavity and probably needed a root canal. She wanted to do it immediately, I explained that like I wrote on my papers, I was immune comprimised and needed antibiotics before dental work. Thats when I found out she had not even looked at my medical history. I left with a bad feeling about everything, so I scheduled an appointment with a endodontist in New Braunfels. They found that my tooth was 100% healthy, no cavity at all, and that my gums had been inflamed. So, Dr Pan was going to destroy a perfectly healthy tooth and charge me almost $1000. Beware.
