Incompetent is the kindest word I can use to describe this office. My child support payments ended over a year ago, and I am all paid off, but they are STILL taking money out of my checks. Taylor is an arrogant jerk who always claims he knows what he is doing and it is always someone elses fault. Typical government incompetence.

I have dealt with ODJFS since 2008. My ex husband owed over $30,000 in arrears. There is inconsistent service. i have asked numerous times to refer this case to a federal level. They only tell you what they want to hear. By the time they attempt anything. My ex has high tailed it to another state. There is high turn over of case workers. They do the bare minimum. Then when they cant get something from another state they wanted me to call the other state to find out why Maryland isnt sending over paper work thar OHIO ALREADY HAS HAD FOR 10 YEARS. useful as dryer lint. If you want results you need to complain to your Ohio house of Representatives. ODJFS = USELESS

Ive been on hold for literally hours. Divorced since March and filled all my paperwork out with them MULTIPLE times an have not heard from them or seen any money.

I love my kids, don’t care about the support.I don’t like that if I get a male, they listen and they actively give me information and assistance when I need it. As for the females who answer, they are usually rude. They don’t give any information as to go about things.I was surprised that I actually talked to a female the other day and she was very kind and very polite and got me the Information I needed.Five stars for the gentleman and that one lady, 0 stars for the rest of the woman I’ve reached out to.I dislike that they are taking a percentage for costs that could easily be for my children. 2% over a year shouldn’t add up to $500 in “costs”. That’s money I could use to take my kids out to eat or buy clothes or medical bills......middle men that get to be bias and the law backs them. Very swampy.

Stark county child support enforcement is a joke. They let my x rack a bill up to $18,000. Then had a mediation hearing to give him a chance to only pay half and drop the rest if he did it on time for 6 months. They couldnt even get that outta him so the just keep sending him notices cause by law he gets 3 more chances until something is done. He only has to pay $150.00 a month for 3 kids by the way. I understand the are procedures that have to be followed but not one of those are designed to collect what is owed there.

The problem w/ them is that there is no consistency of service: the quality highly depends on the case officer. Perhaps, this is life and I am asking to much, but in 13 yrs of me dealing with them (and counting), I have had punctual, caring, knowledgeable individuals as case officers, and I had absolute door mats too. Obviously the low pay and stress get to most of them, as I have had no less than 4 or 5 different case officers, I believe, in all these years. Overall, their services simply reflect the state of public employees in this country: they are underpaid, overworked, and blamed for everything by a large slice of the populous. They get no respect in their stressful occupations.

I understand everyone has an off day at work but people could at least attempt to be polite or courteous.

Horrible people work here. No compassion. Never direct me to my case manager. Always rude and never helpful. Only their to help the mothers rob the fathers of as much money as possible.

Ive paid them for years on time. They just keep finding ways to make it worse for me. I call and to speak with my case worker , they tell me every time. She will call you back. I never hear from her. They just do as they please. Someone needs to check things out down there. Horrible place of business.

Save yourself the time...most of these reviews are from men whining that they have to support their children, whining that they take too much money...try actually raising the kids...thats alot harder and more expensive than the drop in the bucket you boys provide....and I do mean boys...because men do whats right and dont whine about it. But what do I know...Im just a father of two with three step kids who was raised by a widowed mother.

If I was a woman I would get fast prompt service. But since I am a male I work an I make to much for assistance the push me off. This is a sad government ran establishment. God forbid if anyone did their jobs in a timely manner. WORTHLESS

Cant give a no star star rating so 1 it is. Amazing when my support was set money came out immediately, once I got custody of my son it has been 2 months now and support is still coming out when it was told to be stopped. All they care about is getting their portion of the money and screwing everyone else.

I wish they had half a star. I have 4 kids applyed a year ago. Its now what the end of July!! The have garnished him but tell me well it could take up to 6 weeks every time I call....Hes a month behind and they are just like well it just depends how his employer sends it in. OK child support why dont you support my kids.....Cause clearly you all cant do your job! These dads are getting away with to much. But you know its all good he can support his unborn child just fine. SMH

I have had an amazing experience working with them on my interstate case. They go above and beyond for me and my child. I wish I could say the same for Arizona CSEA which is where I live Az is another story... But stark county got the Dad to pay and is helping me in my fight for Medical on my disabled daughter. They always contact me back and answer my questions on the portal very quickly usually same day...

We need to abolish the SCEA, and introduce legislation that allows for fair and equal sustenance of life among parents. Most men are getting hit so hard in child support and having wages garnished that they cant even live. The non custodial parent needs to go to work and find childcare period, this is not the 1950s anymore.

They flat out refused for 20 years to do a DNA test because I signed a birth certificate. Even after going back to court multiple times to try and get it done but still to this day no DNA test has been done to prove the kid is mine after I found out she was a cheater. Nope they put me in jail instead. Lol funny how the system works.

I thought they were helpful and knowledgeable. Assuming it is a very difficult job at times.

I called and spoke with Mrs. Sundheimer and she was very kind as well as helpful. My situation is unusually complicated and quite confusing, but she was 100% invested in understanding my inquiry as well as situation so she could provide the best information for me. Thankyou for your kindness!

Stark county child support is a joke!! Not only do they not enforce child support but they treat you as if you are doing something wrong by calling and checking on your case. They dont enforce anything at all. Its literally a joke. Cuyahoga county, now they mean business and they do not play with these losers!

Take your money but dont want anything to do with you actually participating in your childs life. A crooked system. Sexist.

Awful place. They are biased toward women. It is unimaginable that in our country there would be still be places that discriminate based on gender. CSEA is a program that was created to help women in an effort to reduce federal spending on public aid for these women. CSEA has stepped on many feet. They basically do whatever they want and feel they are above the law. Women can walk into CSEA and state that they are owed money and CSEA will start collecting from a father even if it is an out of state case. If a father pays a mother directly instead of through CSEA then that is considered free money. CSEA does not care if a father has a court order from another state. It is their goal to just collect money and if they break the law along the way they dont care. CSEA is unfair, biased and prejudiced. They will make your life miserable because they will intercept your state and federal tax returns. You cannot obtain a passport if you owe money. Oh and if you take your court before the Ohio courts they do not care if the state where you are paying sends in proof that you are paid in full. They will still find you in default because they do not respect other state systems. I cannot wait for there to be an uprising among dads against CSEA. Ultimately this agency will upset the wrong person and will be SHUT DOWN! When that happens my husband and I will be right there celebrating with all the other fathers that have been treated terrible by this agency.

I feel bad for anyone who has to deal with this agency. These mongrels are sexist, offensive, and I have never had such a day ruining experience than with this batch of bureaucratic tyranny. The DMV is a day at the beach, compared to them.Phone hold times have been near two hours. I have been consistently harassed, since Im obviously a deadbeat dad with a 800 credit score who has always paid support. I have been illegitimately threaten and accused based on inaccurate record keeping on their part. The amount of criminal action proceeding in this foundation is scarey to say the least.

Terrible record keeping and extremely biased towards women receiving support. At one point they deducted thousands of dollars over what was ordered by the court and I had no recourse to recover that money. They continued deducting money from my payroll for months past the court ordered expiration date. Trying to resolve issues via phone is near impossible as hold times can stretch to an hour or longer. To add insult to injury i actually have to pay them to deduct money from my payroll.

Always rude over the phone. They get there cut and momma gets beer money and new clothes. The kids go with second hand clothes. 800 a month for 1 child is rediculas!!

They are all about money , money, money and not the better welfare of the child, beings that my child lives with me for over half the year and I am the sole provider of my childs health care yet Im still obligated to pay an outrageous amount of child support to the mother. A definite reform of policies is in order and way overdue.

They took 400 dollars more than they were supposed to from my tax return...while my case has been closed for a few minths they are garnishing my wages at two jobs...and they seem to be dragging their feet on giving my money back...
