Our F350 service truck broke down on the way to a Washington job site. Zack with Canby Transmission got us in and out same day in under 4 hours. Very professional outfit, excellent service and outstanding pricing. I highly recommend them! Six stars is not an option, but it should be for this shop.

Dont waste your time or your money here. I took my truck in for a diagnostic after experiencing some transmission issues, the report they gave me stated what I had already told them and nothing more, they didnt list any fault codes or irregularities. in the end I paid them $126 to tell me nothing more than I already knew. Complete waist

It truly is amazing that the only 2 bad reviews on this page are from people that couldnt afford a proper repair and paid Canby Transmission zero money to have it diagnosed.Also judging my business practices against former owners that had a very poor reputation I feel they are currently running their business on our good reputation. I have been in business for over 30 years (probably longer than you have been alive) and owned Canby Transmission since 2007 We have worked extremely hard to make every customer happy with their repairs and purchases and strive for the best in quality and not cheap.You typically get what you pay for. I certainly did not judge you for the vehicle you were driving with a DUI breathalyzer now did I. Have a nice day.

Ive needed a transmission service on my car for a while now but havent had time to take it into a shop. After hearing Canby Transmission recommended by one of my coworkers in Vancouver, WA, who needed a custom transmission built and swears these guys are the best between Vancouver & Canby, I decided to give them a try.I had an unexpected day off this week and called them the morning before to see if they had any space for a service, Jeff answered the phone and was incredibly helpful, informative, and friendly. He gave me a quote and let me know about what else may come up depending on what they found. The fit me in the next morning and finished in a couple of hours. Trevor walked me through how the service went and gave me all the details I needed. The final cost was about 10% lower than was quoted me over the phone and my car is working beautifully.I highly recommend Canby Transmission, theyre professional, well priced, and honest, I will be coming back for any transmission work needed in the future.

I warn whoever reads this to not go to Canby transmission! Im appalled that this guy is still in business!I think the owner Jeff is riding off the name, as he purchased the business from Mike and Sharon (who by the way are good honest people that came out of retirement and opened up another shop called South Canby Auto, as so many customers were calling them at their house wondering why Jeff from Canby transmission was screwing them over). Dont go here! I had a horrible experience as it appears to me that this guy doesnt know anything about transmissions. Luckily I found out about South Canby Auto instead of wasting $1800 for something I didnt even need.

I bought a truck from Jeff and Zack recently. Honest guys, great deal, and very happy with my purchase. They were up front with how they acquired the truck, the work they did, and little odds and ends that have come up during their time of ownership that i may have to deal with. Even though they’re a small dealer, i would recommend them.

Canby Transmission is fantastic shop. Being a car guy myself they have no problem taking the time to explain what they did and how they are going to do it. Their estimates are accurate and fair. Would have no problem recommending them for any transmission work or any other car work.

It was a good. They may of had my rig all day, but they gave me a free oil change.

Came here for a full transmission rebuild after the one in my ranger went out. Zach was very helpful and explained everything in detail every step of the way. I feel very confident about their repair.

Last month, I was driving along through Canby, on my way to PDX to catch a plane to Boston, when my car suddenly broke down in a catastrophic way. By some miracle, I was less than 1/4 mile from Canby Transmission, and I was able to limp it in. I showed up, unannounced, frazzled, and said, I dont know whats wrong with my car, but can I leave it here and pick it up in about a week after its all fixed? I have to catch a plane! They were super nice, accommodating, and I was soon in an Uber on the way to the airport, having left my car in the hands of these people I didnt know. During that week, Dave checked in with me several times as they diagnosed the problems, and had it all fixed up for me when I flew back the following weekend. I cant say enough wonderful stuff about these guys - thank you!!!!!!! PS - I have put almost 4000 miles on it since then, due to an unexpected road trip, and the car handled this abuse like a champ. Canby Transmission did a great job on our pickup. They repair transmissions and more. You can trust them with your vehicle repairs.

Called in to get a quote for my car to get its clutch replaced, I had bought my own clutch, brand new. And I was told by Josh, that Yea we wont do that. I asked why and his response was we dont want to deal with customers whove bought their own parts in other words. We rather gouge you with our overpriced clutch that we get from a part store just like you did I worked for Oreillys Auto Parts and we deliver to those places (Mechanic shops) all the time.

Sorry Curtis Perry (see below) but we do not install customer owned parts. Too many issues with he said/she said and items not working correctly. We make a profit on all parts we sell and this allows us to warranty the labor if anything should fail on the customer. The manufacturers do not cover our labor if a part fails, that is all on us. We also do not use auto part store clutches as most are not even OE quality.
