What a fun and neat way to cross the river, especially when the freeway is stopped due to an accident. A ferry is good fun for the whole family, doesnt take long, but does help you slow down and enjoy a bit of nature. This has been a ferry boat location for over 100 years!

I surprised my Mother and took the Canby Ferry to Wilsonville and back. She had never done it before. The Ferry Operator was nice.It was a beautiful drive from 99E. Flower fields and Pumpkins. There is a park.It us $5.00 each way but well worth the thrill.

What a hoot! Cross the river as the Pioneers did! Take back roads that lead you to places you just wont see driving the freeway. Reasonable fares, and you can check the ferrys schedule on the Clackamas County website. Slow your pace a little, add just a bit of tranquility to your travels, and take the ferry next time. Its a hidden gem.

South side of the river is better than the north side. North side has no parking while the south side has a state park and boat ramp perfect for getting in the water on hot days.

Its a fun, novel way to cross the river, and the operators are really nice and friendly, though it is closed often especially during Nov-March due to weather, high water, or repairs so it is not something you could count on as a regular way to commute which would be nice because there are few ways to get around Clackamas county and more ways are badly needed with excessive traffic on the freeways. Its frustrating to add an extra 30 plus minutes to a commute when cutting across the river here saves a ton of time.

Not worth it, just drive around and take a bridge. It costs $5 and if youre waiting for it to come back and pick you up it takes even longer than it would if you took another route, more than 20 minutes. (at least from my expirience)

Fun little ferry to take - have used it as an outing for my grandson to explain how it works. He loves it! A uniquely NW Oregon ferry that fits right in with the rest of the beautiful NW area. Highly recommended for a fun little family outing. The ferry operators are very friendly and will answer any questions. :-)

Been on it like twice in my life, I only remember that one time, Its amazing, just make sure you keep your distance as a boater, Theres a cable wire that spreads underwater from the ferry itself, dont get your prop near it, Be safe! Its a wonderful view, You can see the Hebb park from there!!

Fun trip across Williamette. We traveled from south to north, Canby to Lake Oswego. Day we were there came with glorious sunshine on an unusually warm November day. Operator Roy was friendly, knowledgeable fellow who explained all about the ferry and local history. Sure enjoyed the day. We put our video of the ride on YouTube. Ride with us. Search Canby Ferry. Were ready to do it again.
