I find Fitness19 clubs to be an excellent value. Our family have been members for a long time.I go to both clubs in San Jose depending on what happens to be closest to me that day. They are both clean, the machines are well maintained and the front desk folks are cheerful and friendly. I don’t do the classes myself, but my mother takes classes at the Hamilton location and she likes them and the instructors quite a bit.

I love my Fitness 19 Club and so happy that they have reopened. I have been member for over twenty years. Having it closed was one one of the hardest things to deal with for the last year. The staff is as friendly and helpful as ever. The facilities are constantly being cleaned and wiped down. Most of all I feel completely safe there. It is one of the greatest investments I have ever made and highly recommend it to everyone.

Its been about a month since I started with Fitness 19 Campbell, and so far I am enjoying it. I havent taken all the advantages of the services my premium membership offers yet, but the service, people, and equipment are all great. The gym is clean, and the clientele seem to do their part in wiping down equipment.

I enjoy going there where it isnt too crowded and I feel its kept very clean also. My husband & I have been members for over 12+ years. We are seniors so the price after all these years is very reasonable. Its a comfortable and friendly place to go.

I think that the gym has a lot of new staff members who seem to be happy that they work there. Everyday my kid and I are greeted with smiles and we love that. Very friendly and professional. When we told them the wipes were out, they got right on it, which is not the old way of doing things thats for sure. I just wish you could have a non mask wearing section, because I can honestly say, it makes working out much harder. Something to thing about.

They have a separate billing company and dont help their customers directly. I moved out of the area and there is no fitness 19 here and when I tried cancelling they required a bill with my new address when I just moved. Time is everything and nobody has time to spend hours to try and resolve something so simple. They continue to charge my card and the 1-888 number dont even work but I do get calls from there telling me I need to pay. I cancelled my bank account because they have been charging after I told them I wanted to cancel. Not professional at all. They need to handle their customers directly and stop sending them to a separate company.

Clean and spacious. Need more ab workout tools. Dont like it when they run out of wipes!

Worst possible experience for myself. I signed up in Autumn of 20. They enforced the mask rule which was understandable, but I quickly realized I was getting almost no cardio benefit from any workout there since they capped their machine speed on all machines. I could also see that their ventilation system was completely inadequate given the pandemic circumstances. Then they shutdown over the holidays and only recently re-opened and started dinging my credit card again. Since Im planning on moving for work anyways, I figured Id notify them that I needed to cancel my membership. Not so fast they said. Well hit you with a $50 exit fee on the way out the door! Holy cow! Funny how they dont mention such things when you sign up. I was furious, especially given the covid world we are living in and the constrained environment they force you to work out in. Im taking them to small claims court. The money isnt huge, but the principle of the thing and the corrupt manner in which they have dealt with this customer has forever put me off.

I like this gym but I do think they should bring back the daycare for us moms who have small children. Makes a big difference on being able to work out.

It is conveniently located near me and offers all kind of equipment and classes. Not very crowded , clean and well maintained. Friendly staff as well!

Update #2: There is certainly a good progress made following my complaints from about a month ago.1. Communication improved.2. The music is not as loud.3. Masks with rear exception are work properly.4. The gym closing procedure is improved too. Its very proper now and considered.These positive changes are certainly worth mentioning. I am adding another point and removing my earlier negative comments.

You get what you pay thats the bottom line. It takes the management long time to fix the machine and I mean loooong and I am talking months. Now days where the Coved 19 is still around, at least half of the time when I use the gym they are out of hand sanitizers wipes. I hardly ever see an employee sanitizes the equipment after use or check that everyone wares the mask correctly. The manager is mostly unresponsive to issues but the most of the staff are very nice and responsive. Suggestion box would be nice to have there.

Ive been an active member since 1997 and do not have any complaints and love the classes. Sure missed it!!!!!

Horrible, staff are so unprofessional, machines are old and need maintenance, the TVs are set to Info commercials and who wants to look at that for 60-90 minutes while on the treadmill, some TVs have had a blue broken screen for months and at least turn the TV off. A bit more expensive per month than Planet Fitness which is less than a mile away and Planet Fitness is awesome!One month later and no change to the broken blue screen TV or machines being serviced. The management and staff at Fitness 19 are clueless and lazy.

Not a huge fan of gyms but must needs I found Fitness 19. I recommend this gym highly. The staff are friendly, the other members pretty much keep to their own business and are very considerate about cleaning equipment after use. I signed on with a personal trainer, Mike, and he is very knowledgable deals with my whining in a very patient manner. I have been a member at other gyms and feel that, for the price, this gym is definitely the best.

While signing up I was told that with premium membership I can bring guest. But now I was told that it is only on weekends. Because while signing up. Also premium membership doesnt offer much more than basic membership. Never get into any trading program with these guys. My program was $600 but ended up paying$2400. They keep charging me, told multiple times to cancel my program. I am going to file a dispute with my bank lets see what happens.

Great gym (usually) I joined for the forever young class. With the covid 19 virus there was no class. They stopped billing me then the billing started up with no full class. Couldnt cancel membership so I had to cancel my credit card. Stay away from Fitness 19!

In spite of the pandemic and its restrictions and rules concerning social distancing Im still able to get a good workout in confident that the machines are clean the gym is clean people are respectful in mindful of other peoples boundaries everything within reason is accessible and the staff is very helpful.

I love this club because the membership fees are reasonable, the club is clean and the personal trainers are AMAZING! My favorite personal trainer is Scott Powell. His focus is to be sure you get the best workout without getting injured.Fitness 19 also have a great Free-Weight room. There are a lot of options for lifting weights.

I thought fitness 19 was a family gym !Yet they continue to play gangster rap with the N word and guns going off in the back ground.Just an idea but how about playing music that the customers may want to hear and not the teenagers working there.

Pretty decent gym for the price. Good machines, some occasionally break down. But the repair times are pretty fast. Bathrooms remain clean and great smelling. Sometimes there are older people walking around the shower area naked though. TV channels are great, and the music isnt super terrible. Would definitely recommend if you want a gym that does the basics right.

I appreciate how in the evenings they understand that the demographic is younger adults. The play music that gives us energy to workout. Also, the sales rep at night is very helpful and nice. He explains the break down of the business from the monthly rates to the annual fee. In conclusion I love this gym and it is easily the most affordable one in the bay area.

Ive been at this Gym for many years. They have a good selection on cardio machines and free weights. I also like that its always clean.

The manager and staff are just totally money oriented. They raise their voice and give you attitude no matter on the phone or in person. I couldnt believe where they get that kind of arrogant attitude to their paying customers.

I just moved back from San Diego and I had not been here in two years. On my first visit back I noticed Kevin has taken a lot more initiative and has hired such a friendly staff. There is also a better energy in the gym because of it. For example, employees are constantly smiling and checking in with the members. On top of that they manage to attend to all of the paper towels, spray bottles, and machines.

I am giving them 5 stars for a number of reasons. You cant beat the price! Under Kevins management the gymn is kept very clean. Someone is constantly seeing that the equipment, floors, even ceiling vents are cleaned. The staff is all friendly and helpful. There are lots of machines and when I reported a problem with one the repair turn around was quick. Carly is such an energetic, fun great Forever Young/Fit teacher. We love her classes.

Loved their Saturday Zumba class by Ron and Cathis TAG class on Tuesday-Thursday. Classes have energetic instructors. Very courteous front desk and staff. Have a smile on their face. Affordable monthly fees (watch for other fees like “rate lock-in” fees).

Used to go here when it still was the Right Stuf. Loved the yoga classes but it would get crowded. Prefer it above the 24 hour gym. Staff was ok.

The Right Stuff is a great and friendly local gym. It has something to offer no matter your age, whether you are 18 or 80 years old.The manager Kevin is very accommodating and polite. Not crowded at all if you go early in the morning.You cannot beat the value for the price. To those whom are complaining about it being over crowded, I think it is a testament to how great of a club it is. If you want luxury and space, go pay a hundred bucks a month at an fancy gym in Palo Alto! To those looking for a simple workout near your home, this is the place for you.

Have been a member here for many years but took a couple years off. It does not have all the bells and whistles up some of the other gyms but it has everything we need to lose a total of 120 lb and built a lot of muscle. They keep the facility clean and the staff is great.

I do think they should have extra equipment. But love the team, all is kind and polite. Love the way Kevin from the day one has been polite kinda and respectful.

Great place to go and just work out for all people and for families too. Parking is not good at this location, not enough spaces and too many people go at the 5:00 pm time frame so dont bother, find another time to go.

Place is still open (google reports it closed) although owned by Fitness 19. Still honor memberships from previous ownership. Average gym. Usually crowded. Limited free weight section during busy times. However, they do a good job utilizing the space they have. During summer its like a sauna though, air conditioning is always broken, and even when it does work there is poor airflow.

Took a tour of this place, the guy that gave me the tour was very knowledgeable about the facility and even gave me a 5 day pass to try them out during their peek hours. I told him that I was not interested in the dead weights but needed core strengthening as I have serious back issues. He told me I could get a package deal with a personal trainer I was really close to getting one of their package deals but when I asked them what if the machines are busy when Im getting my half hour personal training he just said oh most of it is done without machines. Sooo....why do I need your gym then? Then one of the managers joined in an was being rude in his mannerisms with me.Bottom line... I guess I will never find out if this is a good gym or not do to the smirky attitude of one of the managers.

If you are wanting a clean facility this is great that way. Staff is helpful and friendly. There are six Precor machines in the entire facility with only two that are fully functional. The rest are glitchy or don’t rise up. Difficulty with getting staff to fix them-multiple attempts. Other members have addressed this problem also.

Fitness 19 is the best!!! I like the family friendly environment and the employees are all nice, Alex helped me find a trainer perfect for what I needed he really worked with my budget.

Was at the Bay Club, but a divorce changed my financials. Hard to compare this to the Bay Club but the Right Stuff is more than adequate for my needs and it has a great price. It can get crowded at times but it doesnt take too long to figure a schedule out and get in a good work out. I really enjoy working out here.

Crowded, you have to reach an hour before to manage a place in the group classes, though the classes are great. Read the agreement charefully and keep an eye on your payments every month especially if you have cancelled. They will keep charging you and register you again without asking you and bill you for that also. If you go and talk to the manager, he will try to bodyshame you or talk rudely so that you give up asking for a refund. Good tactics. I suggest go for other gyms instead of getting harassed later.

Just got a flyer from the gym and called them to know more about the promotion plan. I was confused with the price breakdown that she explained it to me and I asked her twice. She sounded like very impatient and said, she will explain more if I could come down to the gym. She helped me to make a decision for me to choose another gym.

Dont give this company your financial information. I liked the gym itself, but both times when I tried to cancel they kept on charging me. The first time I was in Canada they requested I send written notice that I was cancelling, I sent it and they said that they had no written record of my cancellation. I found out when I tried to cancel for the second time that I owed money for the entire time I was out of the states (a year). They would not forgive it because there was no proof of cancellation. When I tried to cancel the second time, they said there was no such account. When I kept on getting charged they requested I come back to the gym to cancel, and refused any refund since there was no proof of cancellation.Refund me for the time I can prove I was in Canada and Ill change this rating.

Worst place to have a membership. Till they get member ship money they promise every thing and at the time of cancellation they charge you more. Be cautious when having membership with them.

The place is generally ok, the equipment is average, the locker rooms stink, they dont freshen it often ( we stayed out of the locker mostly due to this reason). The club price is generally competitive. However, this past month my wife cancelled her membership since she is unable to go there due to her work commute. At the time we had signed up for this gym my membership included a free guest anytime I went to there. A month after my wife cancelled her membership, I went to work out with my son, who had just come home from college, and they refused to let him work out as my guest. Even though my son had been there many times before, they cited a new policy that guests were permitted on certain days only and not every day. I believe they came up with this arbitrary policy decision because my wife cancelled. I also believe they used a bait and switch on me since in the beginning they allowed unlimited number of guest and never questioned me when I brought in guest. Be careful and read your agreement carefully, do not go with what they tell you when they sell the membership to you.

Great place to excercise, watch tv or listen to music, a kids room to hangout while waiting, or try some excercising courses. Each day, different times, various workouts and at various paces.

The service of the financial department is terribly awful. I registered the membership on Aril, and it was cancelled completely within a week. I have the cancellation receipt. Recently I found that they are still charging the membership fee from my bank account month by month till now. I went to the club and talked to the supervisor at Campbell which location I did my registration. The supervisor told me that they made a mistake and they will refund the money ASAP. However, two weeks past, I havent received any farther information yet. What a nightmare! Be careful, if you try to register the membership with them and always keep your receipt.

This place is most of the time packed with people especially by free weights and machines,only area that is not crowded is where you go and do your abdominal exercises,staff is friendly and courteous .

Hardly get spot securely even though I got 3rd ticket by coming earlier 1+1/2 hours before Zumba class start.Zumba Instructor(Lilia Hernandez) reserved at least 3 spots at front row for her late-came friends and help her friends to squeeze first-come member (me) spot out. Those cam-late ladies used fingers angrily pointed to me, saying loud Spanish with harsh tone , lift their big breasts to push your chest and say dont hit me, then manipulate staff by saying I hit her. Lilia(Instructor) told the gym staff to kick me out and cancel my membership.Some members (especially Lilias friends) used water bottles, keys,,. to reserve spots at second row for their friends, too. They like to say instructor is my friend so I can save spots.Gym management team seems no way to control Lilia.PS. GM Kevin Farrell covered their ass by deny the staff yellling at me and member hit me, and made up story to ask me cancel membership. I called Police to have incident only and Police suggest another way to have my civil right back. I ended up cancel my lift-time membership.

The Best Gym - Machines are Always CLEAN...I love it !

It is disturbing that after many months 2 of the Precor machines still dont work. I have asked them to fix them or get rid of them but they keep telling me the parts are back ordered. At least put a sign on the machines that the parts are back ordered.Please fix your machines!Another woman complained today too. It is not her first time either. Not good customer service.

I attend the facility on Blossom Hill Rd. The staff are great the facility is generally clean; however, the equipment is left in disrepair for months at a time. I have complained but one machine has been broken for more than six months and another for two months. This is a problem that goes on and on.

I am also having troubles with their billing Dept. I cancelled over a month ago and they just keep on billing me their monthly fee. I am about to call the BBB and report their bad billing Dept actions and it looks like several people have experienced the same problems that I am having according to some of the reviews that I have seen about this company
