I would give a zero rating if possible. Do not use Modern Financial. Kyle received all of my financial paperwork to complete my taxes and then never returned a single message. I text, called, and left numerous emails for a month. I even messaged him about a week before the deadline to confirm that he was completing them. NOTHING!!! Thank goodness the deadline was extended, otherwise, I would be in a lot of trouble.

I know that had I done it myself I would have missed legitimate deductionsHis experience as a former IRS employee, and his sharp mind, work together to make it so you pay no more than your legal fair share.His new administrative staff, keeps me informed and is quick to respond to any questions.I would highly recommend him, and frankly I have, to many of my friends.

This was the worst tax experience. We made time to go see him way before taxes were due. He told us the amount we would be getting back and said all the paperwork would be prepared to sign. Upon getting ready to sign, he told us you are going to owe money. I told him that’s not what we were told when we came in. Then suddenly the computer system had failed and there was an error (I wonder what would have happened if The error was not so large or had we not sat down with him in the first place. .) Due to his errors our taxes barely got in on time. With concerns that our taxes were not going to get in on time we emailed and called multiple times with no reply. He also said I am giving you a discount for my error. He still charged us with discount the same as any other accountant that has done our taxes. Also due to concerns of such a large error we had another accountant look at our taxes again.

Not responsive. Does not reply to emails, calls or files taxes/information to IRS in a timely manner (despite assurance provided). Missed filing a few forms with our tax filing. We had to resolve open items and clarifications with IRS directly. Never had any issues when using Turbotax for 10+ years. Tried ModFin based on referral to Eric Ongman (prior owner who has now retired). Disappointed and do not recommend!

DOES NOT CALL BACK...MAKE SURE YOU DONT HAVE A PROBLEM BECAUSE HE WILL NOT BE THERE FOR YOU...does not appreciate your business.. No customer service! No respect for your business. Dose not understand that we the customers pay his bill. He bought my previous CPAs book of business so I decided to give him a chance...BIG MISTAKE stay away from this business unless you want brain damage
