Payman and his team pretty much re-built our house from the ground up, did an absolutely impeccable job, and if you can believe it finished ahead of the timeline. Payman and his company is an absolute unicorn in the construction world. They work at warp speed, take full ownership of every part of the construction process and deliver just exceptional, high-quality, and flawless work. Everyone we met that worked with Payman was warm, polite, and helpful. We hired Bay Area Design to do a complete interior gut and remodel for my parents home. Payman and his team are pleasant to work with it and take the time to understand the customers point of view. We had hired Bay Area Design back in Fall 2014 for a major interior remodeling project for our newly purchased house in San Jose. This involved everything from painting, hard-wood/tile flooring to kitchen plus bathroom remodel, etc. The entire project was actually completed slightly ahead of schedule. Four years later, we are more than happy with everything that was done. In fact, we hired them again last month to complete our kitchen backsplash, something we had decided not to do earlier. Once again, the end result was beautiful and everything was done as scheduled.

They did a great job with remodeling of our house and finished the project as promised, even one week earlier; Payman is a very caring, detail oriented, reliable individual with brilliant ideas. We did a demo and rebuild of our house, and Payman and his team did an amazing job throughout the entirety of the project.We interviewed a lot of contractors before we decided to go with Payman. A few things which set him apart from the other contractors we talked to were 1) How honest and upfront he was about the details of the construction, possible issues and cost overruns (There were other contractors whose pricing changed as we got deeper into the details of various finishes covered by the contract). 2) The quality and attention to detail he had in his past projects (we were able to see the houses for one of his previous clients, and another new construction he was selling).As the project started, Payman was really efficient at managing the project and communicating the details and deadlines. We had a weekly meeting with him to discuss progress, any issues which came up and also a list of decisions he needed from us to make sure the project stayed on track. He is also always reachable and available to answer any questions. His crew was also always professional and courteous and Payman made sure he dealt with the subcontractors so we didnt have to worry about dealing with multiple people. He has good connections and recommendations for various vendors which helped us select a lot of premium finishes at a discount.One example of how he is different from most contractors was this - during the construction, there was an issue with the tile work in one of the the bathrooms which we didnt notice until the entire bathroom was done. Payman actually pointed out the issue, acknowledged it was an error by one of his guys and redid the entire bathroom ( including paying for the new tiles without us asking! )After the house was done and we moved in, Payman was always responsive and quick in resolving any issues which came up - There are always some kinks to be fixed in a new construction and he went above and beyond at times when he wasnt really required to.I will highly recommend Payman and his team and if we ever did another construction or remodel project, we would go with him again!!

Bay Area Design & Construction just completed converting my lower level into an ADU. It was a small project by their standards, but they paid as much attention to my project as they would to a larger one. Payman cares about the details and wants to do the job right. Hes also very good at lining up the work, there was barely a day when something wasnt getting done, and we finished two weeks ahead of schedule. I would highly recommend them and would hire them again!

Payman has completed a handful of projects on various properties for us, mostly kitchen and bathroom remodels. He and his team do a great job and are easy to work with. Payman is very responsive-answers texts and calls quickly, always on time to meetings and even keel. When problems arise as they do in construction, he stays calm and says “no problem” and it is no problem for the homeowner. Payman handles everything on his end so that the homeowner doesn’t have to worry about anything. He does a weekly walk through and his focus in on making sure I’m happy with the progress and that things are going smoothly. He has a great attitude and genuinely wants to know if there are any areas that his team could improve on.Salvador is much more that a carpenter, has been with the company for 15+ years and can seemingly do anything. His work is impressive and he tends to the smallest detail to make sure the homeowner is happy. Emanuel does fantastic tile work and is so focused that I never see him take a break. Jesus, the young man that did the painting was also very conscientious. On our most recent project, I let him know that he didn’t have to paint the bathroom door as we were planning on replacing all the interior doors at some point. It looked terrible so he painted it anyway and did a beautiful job. I’m so happy he did because it looks so good that I can take my time replacing it. Allan, the newest addition to the office, is responsive and focused on continually improving their service and keeping the customer happy.When your focus is on doing quality work and making sure the homeowner is happy, everything else seems to fall into place.
