Beautiful sunset cruise on the Olad. Great crew, great views. We saw porpoise, a baby seal, and loons as well as a fantastic sunset on calm waters. We brought snacks and wine along with some local fudge. We were dressed for it, but it does get cool and the crew cannot provide blankets at this time.

We had a wonderful sunset cruise with Aaron and Louis! It was a beautiful night and one we will never forget!

We had the pleasure of sailing on the Owl with Captain Sarah yesterday and of all days...her birthday! Despite having some foggy weather, the trip was amazing. There were six of us total...two adults, three kids, and the fur baby, Ruby. I could go on and on about Captain Sarah‘s passion to show her guests a great time. She was very easy to talk to and loves kids. She personalized our experience by addressing us by our names and provided us with lots of education, not to mention the beautiful scenery. The owners of this beautiful boat and company are VERY lucky to have her on their team! Thanks, Captain Sarah from the bottom of our hearts! You are simply amazing! Highly recommend a private charter with Captain Sarah!

It was over before I know. I went on four schooners in MainePortland and Camden.This was the best. Great staff.They made my day. A memory for a long time.Even this was a training day for the staff to get ready for the season the owner called me back to tell me I was welcome to join this team.

We had a beautiful relaxing day on the Owl with Captain Aaron this summer! This was a first time experience renting a private boat. We were surprised at how affordable the Owl was. Our tour was during the 2020 pandemic with COVID 19 limiting a lot of activities. Because of this, we were happy to have the private tour option on the smaller boat to feel safe and get away from it all with 2 other friends. Captain Aaron sanitizes all surfaces in between guests. The boat was very clean.We had to sanitize our hands before coming on the boat. During this strange stressful time we were able to enjoy nature safely, on a gorgeous boat, with a professional captain (and story teller) :D ! We will definitely do it again!

Sailing on Olad is a nice relaxing two hours on the water. There is not much to see (one lighthouse and some rocks that might have seals) but the fresh air and splashing waves make it pleasant and relaxing experience on their own. $45 per person and what ever tip you choose to leave for the crew.

Very happy with our experience with the Olad. The office people who helped book our trip were great and very accommodating. Captain Aron is awesome and the first mate Will was great. This is a unique experience for locals and visitors alike, great way to make some memories. Everyone had so much fun. Definitely sail with the crew of Olad, you will have an awesome time.

We had the BEST time with Captain Sara on Cutter Owl. My family and I (4 of us) had non stop great conversation with her. Captain Sara’a first priority was safety but also clearly loves people.

Beautiful day, not much wind but our captain did an exemplary job of finding interesting sites and kept us well informed. He took good care of us, performed his roll capably with personality and charm.. today we were on the owl, in the past weve done the Olad. Both experience s are recommended

The captain was perfection.We got married in the Owl, with just my husband, my mother-in-law, the captain, and me the. Its was an impossibly perfect weather day, the captain sailed us around after and chatted and enjoyed some sparkling cider with us, and it was wonderful.Were an odd and animated couple (even more so with his mom there), and the Captain humored us the whole time and made it all unforgettably beautiful.There are a lot of sailing options in the area, but I highly recommend the Olad and the Owl.

Chartered the Owl for a 2 hour private charter. Amazing experience overall. Captain Sarah was awesome - very knowledgeable and friendly. Truly an unforgettable experience. Would recommend a trip on either of their beautiful ships.

In late summer my daughter and son-in-law had the most wonderful wedding aboard the Olad. Captain Aaron married them at sea with 20 of their closest family and friends in attendance. Together the newlyweds raised the sail as part of the ceremony after the exchange of vows. It was a perfect day because of the care and competence of the whole Olad crew and staff. Manager, Susie, worked with us closely beforehand to plan and prepare for the wedding, and Captain Aaron was fantastic in hosting us on the Olad for this most special day. It was romantic, meaningful, poignant and fun! Everyone loved this special way to celebrate their marriage. Craig and Miriam and their families want to thank everyone at the Olad who made it possible.

Schooner Olad is a perfect addition to your Camden, Maine vacation! We went sailing for two hours on the first night of our honeymoon, and it was absolutely delightful. The employees are thoughtful and knowledgeable- providing great tips, stories, and facts along the way!

Went for a sail over Memorial Day weekend 2019 and it was fantastic, I highly recommend this company, crew, and specifically the Olad.It was drizzling just before launch and the staff told us the captain would assess the conditions--even if we went out for a bit and had to come back in, they would offer a refund or change of date. But the weather cleared and it was a relaxing tour around the bay (not much wind so we went into Rockport Harbor, instead of the usual route out towards the islands, but it was still gorgeous). The ship is pristine and has an old charm to it, since it was restored from its 1927 original. Captain Tom was pleasant and updated us on conditions and the sights. I particularly want to mention First Mate Max, he was welcoming and affable and told us about rigging and the history of the ship and the area--extremely knowledgeable and fun to be on board with.

We went for the afternoon cruise on Sunday, September 15th and it was outstanding! We had perfect, beautiful weather and the sailing was perfect. Rainn and Tom did an excellent job of guiding and making sure everyone had a good time. I have sailing experience and Tom let me take the wheel for a few minutes which made my whole day! Highly recommend this cruise.

We enjoyed the morning cruise August 17, 2016. Gorgeous, well maintained, schooner. First mate had one of my boys help hoist the mainsail. Captain talked, and answered questions for two hours...if you want to learn local history while sailing, this is the trip to take. Such a good time that we immediately signed up for tomorrows lobster bake sail.

A must-do in Camden! We have done two sailings on the Olad, both wonderful ~ different crew both times and each were great. The summer solstice sunrise sail was SO worth the early morning - such a lovely way to enjoy the Maine coast!

Whenever I have guests in town, I take them on a sail on the Olad. Captain Aaron and his crew are knowledgable and fun to be with. Sailing on the Olad has been the highlight of our New England vacation. Captain Bob & First mate Dylan were professional & knowledgeable. We learned so much about lighthouses, lobstering, & local history. The yacht is beautiful and well maintained. An amazing experience.
