Great community, both neighbors and staff. Maintenance is quick to attend to apartment needs/issues, if any. Management staff is awesome and welcoming. *All* the staff are polite and people-y. I’ve been here four years and love it.

The Hanover Alewife has great apartments, with multiple floor plans available, beautiful kitchens and spa-style bathrooms, large rooms, and ample closet space. I was very impressed when I toured the apartments before deciding to lease. I had toured many other locations. The Hanover has the most pleasant and informative leasing staff as well as great units.

Hanover Alewife easily stands out from the other buildings in this area. Their leasing team is energetic and happy to help me all afternoon. I also found out that most of the buildings in the area were built by Hanover, so it made it easier to lease from a place where I knew I could count on the management staff.

Love everything about my new home, but the kitchen has got to be my favorite. The appliances are so efficient and feel brand new. There is tons of counter space and cupboard storage! If you’re a kitchen person, you must check out these apartments.

I have to say that Hanover Alewife is the best apartment I have ever lived in the great Boston area!I moved here in September 2020, and now it is September 2021. I just finished checking out. But I already started to miss the decoration, room layout, gym, and swimming pool.The leasing office is Very responsible and enthusiastic, and they can solve any problems in my apartment at a reasonable speed.People and neighbors in the community are amicable. Also, the location of this apartment is very close to the subway station, supermarkets, and various shopping malls.If it werent for moving out of Massachusetts, I would continue to choose to live here. I recommend my friends to live here, and when you recommend friends, you can also get a referralLiving in Hanover was the most valuable service and live experience for me. If you need to stay in a luxury apartment, Hanover Alewife is where you can enjoy the environment and be comfortable. I love here, and I will move back in the future.

I lived at Hanover during the last year and a half and I cannot express my gratitude to the professionals that work for this place. From Sarah to Tiana the entire experience was absolutely wonderful. I would move back here in a minute if I was back in Boston! This is the place to be in Cambridge...

Highly recommend living in this community and just resigned my lease for another year! Overall the building is very clean and the apartments are in good condition. The building staff are accommodating and friendly which can be hard to find.T’s:- Very secure mail and package process never have to worry about missing mail or packages. Luxor and office package pickup are super convenient!- Great amenities including multiple grills and fire pits in the courtyards.- Within walking distance to Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s.- Apartments have high ceilings so even in a 700+ sq foot apartment it feels spacious.B’s:- Construction all around the building including a new Hanover building and office buildings going up. Trucks often blocking the building entrance. It’s getting better but can be annoying.- Traffic on Alewife brook parkway can back up for more than a mile during commuting hours. I’d recommend getting a bike to run errands around here instead of driving.- No dog washing station.

The entire staff is rude especially Sarah. There have been multiple changes to the staff because no one wants to work at Hanover Alewife given how unorganized and unprofessional the entire office is. You would think after so many changes they would finally get it right but they still havent and everyone continues to jump ship. I will definitely never return to this building and do not advise that anyone lease here unless you want to be faced with headache after headache for your entire lease.

We were trying to get into contact with them via online request, email, and over the phone for more than TWO WEEKS. No reply whatsoever. We had to send our local friends at Boston to tour the community for us. And yes, there were staff in the office, just no one answering our calls/request/email. We had also tried to reach out to the offsite office three times but ended up with zero followups. We ended up choosing the Hanover Mystic River, which turns out to be way better than the Alewife. So if anyone is not receiving replies like me, go for mystic river.

I have nothing but good things to say about the team over at Hanover at Alewife. Upon my arrival, I met with the leasing Agent Tanisha , who has been Super Amazing , as well as Tala, who i toured with. Both ladies have been very professional, courteous, responsive , and accommodating. The property there is also very well maintained I love it there .

Amazing location, All around Great New staff. I put in a work order , and the maintenance Victor , responded very quickly to my request , I’m very pleased on how the team there gets things done and helps with our needs in a timely manner.

Im not sure how anyone could leave a negative review for this outstanding staff at Hanover Alewife. Even with new faces, we have never received anything but positive experiences. New management has been super friendly and quick to respond when any issues are present. I am posting this 5 start review in hopes that anyone thinking of moving to this community will not be deterred by a few unhappy people. This has been our home for three years now and we have ample examples of times when the Hanover Alewife Management team has gone out of their way to ensure we are happy.

We lived at Hanover for a year. The staff were all friendly and helpful, maintenance responded quickly, and the apartment finishes and amenities were all great. We heard very little noise from our neighbors to the side, the walls seemed to be built well.Unfortunately, Hanover has the loudest floors Ive ever heard in an apartment. We were regularly kept up late at night and woken up at 6am by the tenant above us simply walking around. It was not just normal footsteps, there was something between our floors squeaking/creaking very loudly. We complained several times and management eventually acknowledged the issue, but they were not able to fix the problem. We definitely would have moved out early if the penalties for doing so were not so harsh.We would have been happy here without this issue and I have no idea how widespread the problem is over the rest of the building, but unfortunately this was the noisiest apartment Ive ever lived at in 10 years in Boston and also the most expensive.

I was referred by my friend who lives on the property, to come into tour a 2 bedroom over at Hanover Alewife , when entering the office , I met with Ryan , who is the “regional property manager” he was super friendly , he answered all of my questions and concerns I had , I was very pleased. I moved in , and I love it . It’s a great community I would totally recommend this property to anyone looking in this area.

I am a new resident here and absolutely love this place. I toured every single apartment building off of Cambridge Park and Hanover blew away the rest. The management is the best I have ever had at any place I have lived. Dean, Caitlin, and Mikaila are on top of things and really helped me out with my move across the country. The unit is perfect and also blew away the rest of the competition with looks and the overall feel.

I was very satisfied with these apartments and was given such a great tour by Sarah Park. I cannot wait to move in. The area is lively, has good transportation, and accommodates my needs for enrolling into Harvard.

While I had a good experience overall as a tenant from 2017-2021, I’ve been frustrated with the moving-out experience. Although I submitted an written intent to vacate 60 days in advance and booked a freight elevator for my movers through the resident portal, I was unable to reach anyone from the leasing office when the loading dock was locked on the day of my move. I’ve since had issues with my mail forwarding via USPS and several important pieces of mail were delivered to my old address. I sent a package with multiple prepaid envelopes per request as I now live in another state and cannot come to pick up my mail in person (something that I’ve now had to explain to 3 people from the leasing office, which should also have my forwarding address on file from my move-out paperwork). As of today, somehow all three prepaid envelopes have been used to forward 2 pieces of mail, none of which I have actually received. No one can explain this math to me and it routinely takes the leasing staff days to call me back, if I even get a call back at all. The situation is frustrating during an already very stressful move. I was a good tenant for four years, during which I paid an incredibly large amount of money to Hanover Alewife, and it’s disappointing that they treat former tenants this way.

We had the worst experience ever by staying at this property. During our one-year stay at this building, we forced to move to another apartment, because of the flooding in our unit due to pipe burst. During the construction, all our stuff covered with dust and debris or even stain coming from the construction in our unit. My expensive Bose speaker was there without the construction staff cover it. My carpet ruined during the flooding, and nobody reimbursed us for it. They did not accept us break the lease despite of inconvenience that forced to us. They moved heavy stuff to the new unit, but did not move our kitchen, clothes, and rest room stuff. I started my first weeks of my new job, moving stuff from one floor to another floor.Management gave us hard time in any way that they could when they found out we are mot extending the lease. By not booking the moving elevator for us, ignoring our emails to book move-out date or elevator, yelling to our movers who were people of color, and finally by forfeiting our security deposit check, saying that there is mistake in OUR LEASE. Yes, that is true.I do not recommend this apartment community at all.

I have had a great experience living at Hanover Alewife. The property itself is extremely nice and is always clean and organized. What really impresses me is the staff. I can tell they genuinely care about their residents. They are efficient, responsive and professional. It makes me feel comfortable and at-home knowing I can always ask them for assistance should anything come up.

I cant say enough good things about Mikaila. She was prepared and made me extremely comfortable right from the start. The accessible apartments are really well done and she was able to point out every standout feature. The kitchen countertops and the controls are all lower for easy access, the rooms are spacious and the bathroom allows for easy maneuverability and use. Finally, the parking was right near the elevator which takes you straight to the apartment. Great job.

Though I did not end up leasing here, Mikaila, Caitlin and Dean were all super helpful with my apartment search. Would highly recommend, the building is well located with lots of restaurants and stores around.

We lived here for 3 years and everything was excellent. The reason we finally left was to buy a house.I cant recommend the building enough for someone looking to rent with red line access. Everyone who worked in the front office was phenomenal and helpful. The few maintenance requests we had were handled quickly and professionally. The year over year rent increases were pretty minimal.Once you live on Cambridge Park for a while, you get to know the policies and management horror stories from the other buildings. We had none. I can say with some confidence that this is the lowest stress nicest building on the street.

Great amenities! We love the pool area, three outdoor courtyards, and Dean was very friendly!

We cant say enough positive comments about this property, but more importantly the staff is amazing! Since our tour several months ago to living in our apartment today, the entire staff has worked as a team to answer every question and support our transition. The amenities feel luxurious and the building is kept very clean. We couldnt believe the pristine apartment we were provided! Any of our small maintenance tickets have been resolved immediately. The front office staff is very professional and helpful. We feel extremely grateful for this beautiful property and wonderfully kind staff.

The apartments are very clean and I really love the designed, but on top of that the Management team is incredible. They are very attentive and knowledgeable and were able to answer all our questions not only about the apartment but the area around the apartment. Hanover Alewife is topnotch top to bottom.

I moved here about a month ago and have had very positive experience here. The apartment is quality and the staff has been very helpful for maintenance and package receiving etc.

Location is unbeatable; just a stones throw away from the Alewife T. My apartment is spacious, with plenty of storage closets and even a walk-in closet as well. Counterspace is a plus, as well as, the insulation with the construction of the building. I was told during my tour that there is acoustic padding beneath the engineered hardwood floors, and concrete in between each wall. I will have to say that this holds true, and since living here, I have no complaints in regards to noise, or any for that matter. Mikaila, Leasing Agent, was splendid, as well as, the rest of the Leasing Team. My move in was easy and the transition into my new home here at Hanover has been smooth so far. Thank you Hanover Alewife for making my life easier during these uncertain times!

Hanover Alewife is such a beautiful property! Ive moved into the city from a house I just sold as my daughter and grandchildren are living in the Cambridge area. I originally toured with Taylor, who is the Property Manager, since there are so many other apartment buildings on Cambridgepark Drive I toured all of them and not one of them were the Property Manager. She was upbeat, energetic and sold me on the apartment and community. Not only was she great from the moment I walked through the door but she was so knowledgeable about the building and area. It felt like if I needed anything she was there to help me. The applying process was simple all online and once my application was submitted, Taylor called me to let me know she received the application and she was excited to have me as a resident. Might I mention no one else followed up with me after any of my tours except her. Overall, everything from start to finish was seamless!

I lived at Hanover Alewife for two years with my partner and we could not have asked for a more comfortable living experience. The Hanover Alewife Management team was always present during our stay, and had events for us creating a community atmosphere. Our apartment was a 1b/1b over 1000sqft and modern finishes. Utility bills were usually low because Hanover Alewife is a LEED Gold Certified community, with highly efficient appliances in the apartment. Any maintenance work orders were completed in a timely manner, and Viktor was always informative and willing to help. Thank you for the best two years Hanover Alewife!

Ive loved my time here at Hanover! I move a lot for work and this has by far been my smoothest transition into a new place. Taylor and her team were super accommodating, when I had a million and one questions they never made me feel like I was bothering them! Professional yet personable is not something you find often so I hope they realize how much of an asset Taylor is to this company.

Stay away from this property. The entrance hall smells bad half of the time. Poor quality materials and apartments. Very thin walls that you can hear your neighbors. You are only allowed to host 2 people at a time. They kept the rent price with all the amenities closed. The nearby Alewife station attracts a lot of creepy people that wander around the property and they sleep in the garage building. Fire alarms go off in the middle of the night. The list goes on. Cant wait to move out, but may have to pay thousands of dollars for wear and tear like others described. The property manager is very amateur. I call it Hangover Alewife

Hanover alewife is amazing. I toured SO many properties before I decided to move in here and I am so glad I chose Hanover! Tijana was amazing with the tour and choosing an apartment. The apartment was spotless when I moved it, as is the entire building-- kudos to the cleaning staff. Maintenance requests are answered quickly and the man that does them is really nice and patient. The real MVPs of this place are Mikaila, Kaitlyn and Caitlyn at the front office. They are so kind, eager to help and always have smiles on their faces. Package pick up is secure and stress free (even with the millions of packages I see being held). Also, they did a great job insulating the walls because I can rarely hear anyone else around me. Only negatives (that are nothing compared to the positives) are that the parking spaces are pretty small and it is a bummer the clubhouse isnt open due to covid-- would be great change of scenery for those of us WFH. Overall, would definitely recommend!

I recently moved out of Hanover to move back to the burbs and I cant say enough about my time here. From the maintenance team to the amenities (pool & grill area, bike rentals, common areas) everything is top notch. The property manager Taylor runs a tight ship and it shows! Ill recommend this place to anyone looking in the area

Upscale complex with great amenities. Location is great. The few issues I have had were dealt with immediately by Taylor or a member of her team. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a place in the area.

I did not end up living here, but searched the Boston area for a week to find a professionally managed property and this one was top of the list. Dana, one of the managers of the building made the building even better. When we called him about not moving forward with his building, he asked our top few, and gave his honest opinion, and a very helpful opinion of the area we chose and the complex. All in all, I would check this place out!

This community is wonderful and the location is super convenient! Easy access to the T and the bike path is right across the street. The staff is amazing and always super helpful. The interior garage is AMAZING in the winter and rain. If I could give them 10 stars I would!

This community is top notch. Grounds are clean, amenities are beautiful. The leasing staff is there to answer any of your questions and you are always greeted by a smile. If you are looking for an apartment in Cambridge, this is your place!

AVOID this place!. See other comments about noise. Heres my experience: This building is poor insulated for sound. Noise can be heard from above and below. Walking above sounds like stomping.. From below your apartment you can enjoy the sounds of muffled conversation, laughter, and shouting in your bedroom. Cambridge police have been called multiple times because of excessive noise. Its hit or miss if they hear the noise. Ive had many nights with excessive neighbor noise several times a week, up to 4am. Local management has been contacted and offered to move me to another unit at my cost. The noise is explained away as its a wood mid-level apartment building, not a high-rise. Eye roll. There is no guarantee the noise issues would be solved. You can walk down the hall in the evening and hear music and conversation coming through the doors of many units. Local management enforcement of quiet enjoyment, tenant rights, is lacking. They are only available up to 6 or 7pm depending on the day, so verification of excess noise and putting a stop to it has been unsuccessful. Recording of the noise and demand to get out of the lease are stalled. The lease asks for nearly $6000 as a penalty to walk away from the lease. Management fails to provide quiet enjoyment, and still wants tenant to pay excess fees to get out of this place. Save your money, go elsewhere!

Whenever I have visited this complex it has been clean and well maintained. Taylor was helpful with any questions or concerns I may have had.

Hanover Alewife, the community and apartment look so nice, I have the luxury feeling when I saw it first time for the common area and units - you have all the amenities for a luxury apartment with ample floor plan and modern utilities. Additionally, It is so close to Alewife station and walk distance to Trader Joe and Whole Food, very convenient.On top of that, what makes it special is the on site property management team, especially shout out for Kiley, the property manager, she knows the community inside out, do whatever she can to go extra miles to meet customer expectations and requirements. She is so sincere, honest, and walk the talk, she leads the team who makes this luxury apartment outstanding and turns the place to what can be called Home!

Ive really enjoyed living here and will most likely be resigning my lease in the next few days.You cant beat the commute if you use public transit which was a big selling point for us in moving here.When we were looking for apartments we had toured some of the other buildings on Cambridge Park and just found the apartments here to be all around nicer and have a better layout.The staff are all really lovely, too. My pup and I visit them in the office every day for some cuddles, and we have frequent pow-wows with Taylor and her dog on our walks!

The space is nice but there wasnt a great community feel. I did want to point out that there is a $250 non-refundable key change fee BEFORE you apply for the lease. This means if you dont get accepted you lose this amount. I unfortunately, faced this and I didnt receive an explicit document before hand that explained the screening criteria. So just be careful.

Hanover Alewife property was very impressive, from the extremely friendly staff to the amazingly clean and very well maintained building, inside and out. 24/7 maintenance team always available during an emergency made me feel safe. I was very happy when I lived at Hanover. I was on the 6th floor in a beautiful 2 bedroom- 2 bathroom apartment. The Amenity rooms such as, the gym, club room, and courtyards are all beautiful and comfortable. The pool area is great and always clean...My daughter loved it. Everything is within walking distance...Trader Joes, Wholefoods, Starbucks and the T-station. I give a big thumps up and thank you to the friendly office staff and extremely helpful and hardworking maintenance team.

I love the convenience of being at hanover! I work in boston and come home to wonderful,clean,peaceful Cambridge. I have my 2 beautiful dogs and its a great complex! The staff is great here. Taylor the property manager loves my puppies and is so helpful and respectful. I dont know where i would be without all of her help since the day i moved in!Thanks hanover and taylor!

I have lived in over 4 “luxury apartments”. The reviews posted here are by staff and false. Some residents favored over others(my roommate and I couldn’t get two spots, while some residents had 3). The leasing office is a mess and will “loose” your packages and then deny they ever arrived. Dana can’t seem to put a smile on his face and lives to sticker any car in the round about. If your moving to Cambridge stay away from the Hanover company.

I moved into Hanover Alewife over a month ago and I can say that it is overrated. The amenities are okay. The clubhouse is well equipped, grill and pool areas are nice. The gas fireplace is noisy and smells like gas. Some of the marble fell off the it wasnt replaced yet. The gym is small and you cant really do a full workout. You might need a gym membership.The staff is very nice and helpful. The common areas are always SO COLD! Dont know why.The apartment is good. It has good appliances and isolation is good so far. I rarely hear neighbors.As for location, yes, it is close to the Fresh Pond, Iggys, and the street malls with Whole Foods, Trader Joes, TJ Maxx, CVS and Liquor stores. Close to Alewife station, which makes it convenient. There are not many restaurant and business around. It does not have the city-living feeling. Lots of cars, parking lots, and warehouses.That said, I think the price for a 1-BR apartment could be $1800, not $3000. But they can get away with that because its Boston.Would not recommend!PS: that faint green color on the exterior is very ugly

Nice and new but very sterile. Common facilities play loud music all day so if you want to do any work, you cannot, and they will not lower it even though you are the one paying high rent. The traffic in rush hour is a nightmare because there is only one road to exit the area.

Great looking building inside and out ! The staff was very helpful as I toured and searched for my new home !

The only luxury thing about this building is the price. Everything else is just modern living.

Location is great - extremely close to the train; shops around the area such as Whole Foods, TJ Maxx/HomeGoods, Trader Joes - very easy to find when driving up to it. The staff is great, and extremely helpful to all.

We lived in Hanover Alewife apartments from April 2018 until December 2018, had to move out early because of reasons not related to quality of life here. Two things I like most about this place are convenient location (walking distance to Alewife station) and proximity to nature (Alewife Brook Pathway is very nice, and if you like biking, Minuteman Commuter Bikeway goes all the way north to Bedford, and there are additional bike trails that you can take from there). Cambridgepark Drive is safe, but subway always brings certain kind of characters, so walking to Fresh Pond Mall may not be an option at night time. I cant add much to what has already been said about the apartments; they are very average for the price, but not all complexes around here have such cozy inner courtyards. The staff is truly top notch, starting with Taylor who is super friendly and responsive. Goran and Dalibor - maintenance guys - are also excellent and will typically handle repairs within 24 hours, if not 2.

Fancy interiors. Good people there.
