I have enjoyed my time working with California Psychcare. Being able to make visible improvements, with support from supervisors, for children and their families has been very rewarding.

I have worked with the Camarillo branch for California Psychcare for three years now as a Direct Staff Behavior Therapist. If you enjoy working with kids and are open to learning hands on techniques, then this could be a great opportunity for you. I have received great support and constructive criticism from both my Program Coordinators and the BCBAs. We work together as a team to provide the best services for our clients and their families.The only real struggle I have experienced was with the HR department (outside of the Camarillo office). Getting a hold of someone or information that you need is hard to get in a timely manner. If I am lucky, it will be a few days to a week to receive a response. However, in most cases it takes multiple weeks to a month, or more!I have found the rewards of working with the kids and being a part of their learning and life story make up for the miscommunications with HR.

Don’t waster your time. It’s been 3 weeks since I sent in my son’s intake paperwork and they don’t call with updates and when I call they take no responsibility for they delay. They try to blame insurance but I called the insurance and found out they were lied about it. The are too lazy to call the insurance and straighten things out. I have called them several times pleading for help. This sets a tone for how they run a business and it shows that they don’t care about their clients.
