The car I rented was a Mitsubishi mid SUV almost brand new with 5 people including myself, drove it for 250mi. Car was comfortable, roomy and drove smooth.

I had a good experience. When I picked up my car, I had to wait about 30mins since they did not have any car at the moment and I also booked last minute. The lady at the counter was nice. She offered to call me back when the car that she was waiting on arrived. Since the car didnt arrive, she gave me a free upgrade without any issues or questions. When I returned the car it was quick. Didnt have to wait too long neither did we have any problems with the transactions. I would come back and rent out a car again.

The business ethical of this store is in serious concerned. The staffs was trained to exaggerate about the dirty condition of the car to charge us extremely expensive money for cleaning, $85, never see that happen anywhere we only rent a minivan to transport some small furniture and return within a day. we already prepaid $81 for the car rental a day and they lied about thing to charge for $168 more when we return the car & we drop the keys off with full tank of gas & the car only been dirty outside cause by the rain. The owner seem to be supper unethical to train their staffs to find any reason to steel money from customer. So be careful with this store, do not rent a car here and be thrift off. We end up be charged over $250 total for an old Ford minivan one day without consent!!!!

The employees were fast, very polite and professional. They even recommended a breakfast place to eat that was amazing (waypoint). Sorry I cant remember her name, but Thank you!

A terrible service. They charge me $85 for the cleaning fee when me & my friend only rent a minivan from them a day. No smoking or any dirty inside only outside because the day i rent the car is raining all day. and return late for 37 minutes and they charge us $65. So I end up pay total $250 for a jerky old Ford minivan. The staff here is still too young but very immoral, lied or they may got train by their owner to make money out of the customer that way. SO BE CAREFUL, DONT RENT FROM THIS STORE... VERY UNETHICAL PEOPLE!

I turned the car back early and was stoked to get some money back. Because I didnt need it for a week anymore. then when I return it he said I had a weekly discount so now I received the daily amount the week was 211 I returned it 4 days early he charged me 208 I should of just kept the car. There is only so many car rentals places dont let them do this to you there crooks 👎

Alex, quite simply, the best. I switched from HERTZ to Avis after being treated so well by Alex and his staff. Truly takes every car emergency I have and makes the angst of car rental disappear. He just is so calm and always has a solution. In the last two years, Ive had car emergencies which requires me to send my personal vintage automobile out of town to my mechanic. What I used to dread the most (renting a replacement car) has now turned into something I no longer fear. Thank you to Alex - and your amazing staff! You are tops in my book! For sure!

As a business traveler living in Camarillo I’ve been renting at the Avis Camarillo for over a decade. When Alex ran this operation everything was great. Friendly customer service and everything was always on point. Ever since the new management took over a few years ago everything about the location has suffered. I got accustomed to the borderline contentious service and attitude from the counter agents. But today was the final straw. Congratulations Avis Camarillo, you’ve lost me as a customer.This place has become the most unfriendly, unaccommodating, hillbilly hell hole. Customers are treated like an annoyance by the generally disheveled staff who typically have their child there with them, dirty stained clothes on, no longer allow entry through the rear door, have a basketball hoop blocking the parking area, and tell you that they don’t have to honor your reservation if you arrive a few minutes late. It’s a car rental, not a flight. The fact that they no longer offer drop off and pick up service at your residence takes away anything unique about this Avis. I know they say they still offer it but every time I’ve called to schedule a drop off or pick up in the past 3 years, Avis says they cannot accommodate me at that time. Which leads me to the assumption that they no longer offer it. Based on other reviews written they have experienced the same.If you want a friendly experience and a clean car I recommend choosing any other rental location in town.There’s a Herz location in the same parking lot and I will have my work set up my rentals through them from now on.

Very disappointing experience. They appear not to have a clue how to make customers happy. No greeting. Long phone calls where the customer in the lobby is ignored. But today took the cake. I was bringing the rental car back this morning. I made sure it was clean and filled it with gas. When the office boy came back from checking it he asked if i filled it with gas. I told him yes right around the corner. He says well it itnt showing full. (In other words Im a liar?) I took the car back to the same gas station. I topped the gas tank off. It took $3.00 worth of gas. I told the office boy that i was disappointed and he did not seem to care. I have always appreciated National and Enterprise for their exceptional customer service. I got what I paid for. Never again

A plesure to do business with this office. The offered car was perfect for our use. I had a damage on the car with ending the rental, but it was handled by the staff in a very kind and professional way. I will definitely NOT switch to other companies for renting cars.

I Always Rent at this Avis, the Manager, Alex. is very friendly and accommodating. It is always a pleasant experience dealing with this location. I have rented from here fifteen years, and only two managers in that time and both have been great to do business with on a regular basis.

If you had a negative Stars I would do negative 10 maybe even more!! Theyre swindlers absolute BS I took my car back in Las Vegas not a scratch Dent nothing on it now 2 months later they want to say that the bumpers falling off! Its BS big time! Do not use Avis do not!!! Take it from me do not use Avis!!! Plus, I havent been in an accident or anything in the 30 years!!!! Im doing reviews of them on every platform I can find!!!

I rented a Full sized sedan from them and was a bit disappointed with what I got. Check-in was fairly smooth, even though the clerk disappeared into the back room for about 10 minutes while fetching the car. I guess her co-worker was missing for a while? i dont know, there was no explanation why she was gone for so long. Then the car only had 3/4 of a tank. I get thats the new normal for rentals these days, that they dont always come with a full tank of gas, but the car was also dirty, inside and out, needing a vacuum and a wash. I had to stop and wash the windows so I could see when driving into the setting sun.On top of the dirt, the car also required maintenance. It was due for an oil change, so every time I started the car, I had to clear that alert from the dash, and on the second day I had the car I also got a low-tire pressure alert I had to acknowledge.All in all it certainly appeared that they werent taking care of their equipment.

I got a car that got me from where I was to where I needed to be. However, the unreliable hours at the office on top of the other friction encountered with Avis (shuttle bus unavailability and unreliability) are more than what I am willing to put up with. Avis is being outperformed, and I will now use their competition.

Alex and his staff do an out standing job.Customer service is the best.The competition is all around this office, but Alex and his staff will always get my business in Camarillo.

What a fantastically well run branch of Avis. A car is a car, but the staff here, Alex, is head and shoulders above, say, the nearby Enterprise rental car.

Nice folks. Cars are behind the office and sit under trees that poop all over them so theyre not the cleanest on the outside.
