Dr. Gershfeld is amazing! I had not been to the dentist in years so I had a ton of work that needed to be done. I have no insurance and they really worked with me financially. His staff is incredibly nice and friendly. His work is A++! I never felt The shots as he is incredibly gentle. The office is super clean and parking is easy. I highly recommend him!

Mountain View Dentistry is a beautifully renovated dental office in Calabasas with top notch equipment that has been under new ownership since February of 2020 by a highly skilled, honest, and personable dentist, Dr. Roger Gershfeld, who is a perfectionist! He’s highly experienced and has such a gentle touch that I did not even feel when he injected my gums to numb them without even using the numbing gel! What sets him apart from the rest of the pack of dentists is his passion for his incredible and tedious cosmetic dentistry work such as my new and beautiful 8 veneers on my upper teeth! He had gifted me the most beautiful lifetime smile and Im above and beyond grateful! His own words on cosmetic dentistry to me were: Cosmetic dentistry is my passion. Its dramatic and it changes lives. He also has done a remarkable job on my crown, filling, and made a comfortable night guard for me because I grind my teeth. WOW! This has honestly been the best dental experience of my life. Mountain Views team is kind, thorough, and exceptionally competent. Zahra really went the extra mile to provide comprehensive care and consult -- and then Dr E was really the icing on top! Even in an age where healthcare costs an arm and a leg, I feel like I underpaid for their services. Also, great gift baskets! Highly recommend.

The office is spotless, the staff friendly, the equipment state of the art and then the best dentist in the state of California walks in to care for your teeth.. He is a really nice person, honest, doesnt try to sell you a treatment plan that you dont need and very knowledgable concerning your teeth and gums. Hopefully he wont retire before I stop needing a dentist.

I think my dental hygienist, Zahra, couldnt have been better! What a skilled and charming professional she is. It was a pleasure to see her today. And Im thrilled that Dr. E took the time to remove the stains on my fillings. Hurray all around!

Dr. Schechter is far and above the best dentist Ive ever been to. Ive been his patient now for about 12 years. You can really feel that he cares about his patients well-being. I even once needed some emergency dentistry work to fix a cracked tooth only hours before a flight for a vacation, and he met me at his office late at night (way after hours) and fully repaired my problem. His staff as well are wonderful. Honestly, its rare for me to rave about a business, but Dr. Schechter really deserves the accolades.

I have been a patient of Dr. Schechter for years and I adored him. Since he retired and the new team has taken over however, I find that their willingness to get to know the existing patients and make us feel like staying has been lacking, at best! I recently went in for my routine cleaning and found that my old trusted and loved hygienists are no longer there. Instead, I got a perfectly adequate and professional cleaning by a young woman who did not stop talking the entire time! She wore a headlamp instead of the usual dental lamp while she worked, and if I tried to look at her to respond to her chatter, I was literally BLINDED by the headlamp! I had to keep my eyes tightly shut to avoid the glare and I just wanted it all to be over. In the past, Dr. Schechter would always at least stop into the room to say hello, but this time, no dentist was ever seen. In my previous visit, the new dentist DID come into the room and recommended a night guard, which I purchased, but she never introduced herself and to be honest, I couldn’t tell you her name or pick her out In a lineup! I wasn’t even clear if she was the dentist or an assistant! I miss the personal touch Dr. Schechter gave to his patients and he is sorely missed. Perhaps this new team has their own patients and don’t really care about retaining the old ones, but for this “old one,” it appears to be the case.

My family and I have been dr schecters patients since 2008. We noticed a disturbing change in their office staff of late. If you have an outstanding balance due to limitations in insurance coverage they will come after you in a very aggressive manner. Patients beware! This office staff will come after you with both barrels loaded

Dr Schechter is a perfectionist... he treats your oral care as he would treat his own. It took me 20 years to find a dentist in the LA area, and with Dr. Schechters office Ive finally found one.

Dr. Schechter was extremely helpful. He sat down for at least 30 minutes and explained to me in detail why I was having tooth pain and how to prevent it in the future. All the dentists Ive visited in the past have hurried through procedures to get to the next patient but Dr. Schechter took his time and actually helped me which is a rarity with Dentists . He even called me later that day to make sure I was doing ok and not having any more pain after the procedure. 10 out of 10

I hadn’t seen a dentist in years. I was referred to a dr. in Beverly Hills.In the middle of the filling he said that I needed to go to a specialist and get a root canal! (about $3,000), and sent me off to the specialist for emergency surgery, and left me in excruciating pain).Before I went to the specialist I called my Dad and he said I NEEDED to go see Dr Schechter and get his opinion.From the moment I met Dr. Schechter I felt better. His office makes the other dentists facility look like a cave mans. It is full innovative / high tech equipment and he took DIGITAL X rays in the matter of 2 minutes and pulled them up on the computer screen.Within the matter of minutes said you dont need a root canal!!!. He said that my teeth were just out of line (I could only touch my back 2 molars together). He said that since I am a grinder at night, I have been basically beating up my back molars for years and this is where the pain is stemming from.He filled the most immediate problem area and then literally realigned my bite!!!! I can now actually close my mouth and touch all my teeth together. I feel like a million bucks; after years I can actually close my mouth in comfort.I think that was the first time in my life that I ever left a Drs office on my knees praising and thanking the Dr. He saved me thousands of dollars and actually fixed the root of the problem.Also, Dr. Schechter personally called me after the appointment, and the day after to make sure that I was doing well.
