Bought a Wolf Range and Viking Downdraft from Tim. the purchasing phase went smooth, the delivery phase just as sooth. however, when the downdraft was to be installed, we noticed it came scratched, and ultimately missing parts necessary for its function. We notified Tim of the problem which he said he would reach out to viking himself to resolve it. we waited 3 weeks for him to get in contact with Viking, every time he said he was waiting. I understand they are difficult to get a hold of but I dont believe they are that hard for a dealer to get in contact with. I only say this because after 3 weeks of us waiting for Tim to hear from Viking we decided to reach out to them ourselves. we got an answer within 24 hours. like cmon, how do we regular customers get an answer in 24 hours but a salesperson cant get one in 3 weeks? makes me believe he never reached out to them in the first place. well Viking sent us replacement parts, however there was miscommunication and they sent us the wrong ones.This entire time from February until Mid September I have been nothing but patient, understanding and cordial towards Tim. I finally reached a breaking point on 9/19 and emailed him to resolve this issue ASAP. I was expecting him to at least acknowledge my request, but he has still yet to return my email. he said to me when I purchased the stove that the customer service doesnt end here, and we see youre happy till the end. well im not happy, a 20K investment I wish I would have bought anywhere else. Tim if youre seeing this, you should return my email and resolve this blunder on your end asap. Horrible customer service.

WORST SERVICE. WHAT IS THE POINT OF THIS WARRANTY COMPANY. WE HAVE BEEN WAITING SINCE AUGUST TO HAVE OUR WASHING MACHINE FIXED UNDER WARRANTY AND KEEP BEING TOLD WE WILL CALL YOU TOMORROW WITH AN UPDATE ONLY FOR NO ONE TO EVER CALL BACK. WHEN WE CALL WE GET THE SAME LAME EXCUSE BOING OTHERS EACH TIME AND HOW SORRY THEY ARE. WOTH THE MONEY WILL SORND ON SENDING OUR LAUNDRY OUT TO GE DONE WE COULD BUY A NEW EFFING MACHINE. I had a horrible experience purchasing items in this store. I ordered a dishwasher 5 month ago (in April 2021, now is September 2021) and still didn’t get it. Every time I contacted the manager, he told me to wait for 1-2 weeks and it’s already 5 months passed! The manager Darren never contacted to me back when I called to the company and asked him to call me back. Last time on August 31 he told me I will get a dishwasher on September 15. I’m still waiting.However, I got a range, a microwave and a refrigerator within around 2 months after payment, but I could not finish my house remodeling without a dishwasher and I’m still waiting.I got a great price with the worst customer service I have ever had.

My fridge was a special order Blomberg (which are Great ) The service was Very good . Even when there was a Hiccup they came through . I have since had a ice maker issue and that got fixed .

Darren was my sales rep. He is extremely knowledgeable and was patient and detailed in helping my wife and I decide what built in refrigerator freezer would best fill our needs. His prices were competitive and everything from sale to the professional delivery and installation went very smooth. I would definitely recommend.

Originally purchased appliances in 2008, had such a great experience when it was time they were the first place we called for a new washer and dryer. Even during the COVID-19 stay at home period, they provided great customer service and guidance. We purchased our new washer and dryer, they processed the order quickly, the delivery was on time, and installation and haul-away were flawless. They remain our only place to consider for large appliances.

Beware. This place has no return policy. If you buy it its yours. No customer services. Apparently a steam oven needs a drain. Apparently we dont have one. All I wanted was a different appliance or store credit. Keep getting ignored telling me they are working on it. Finally was told too bad no returns!!!!!! If anyone needs an unused brand new steam oven please message me....lol

Superb service provided by Universal. My wife and I had just remodeled our kitchen and needed most of the appliances. Luckily for is we were met by MD, one of their top salesmen, who took his time explaining all the different options to us to help us make a decision. There was zero pressure and in the end we purchased a 48 thermador range and matching dishwasher and a microwave drawer. They delivered AND installed all of the appliances at NO charge. MD called us to keep us updated and schedule the delivery when our cabinets were finally installed. Great service, great prices, and we will return if we ever need any other appliances. Thank you!

My experience was exceptionally on point except one minor detail that kept me from giving a 5 star review. I bought a commercial Speed Queen washer & dryer for residential use. I bought the stands that go under them to raise the height. Upon delivery I was TOTALLY SHOCKED! They are just stands... NO DRAWERS. HUGE only because I wasn’t informed when I purchased the machines.

I had a horrible experience recently purchasing an ice maker from this store. Not only were several units defective, that set you up with a extended warranty company that did not repair the unit. They were not responsive to my calls. The merchandise was defective. I am professional who took an incredible amount of time and indicated I would be filing a lawsuit. They were not helpful, and I would highly recommend that you stay away from their store.

Mr. Tim Mumford, Premium Appliance Specialist, is remarkably friendly, answered my questions, and showed me merchandises without an appointment. However, he strongly recommended making appointments before coming to the store especially during the pandemic. Excellent cooking events to show case their products. When I went with my friends, they all loved the amazing dishes which can be made from the appliances and the catering crews. Great way to network and extend your business circle. Always a fabulous way to learn new tricks on cooking and baking. Great way to find a catering consultants. PPE, UVC sanitation devices, and other amenities ready to welcome the shoppers when CALIFORNIA RE-OPNES.

This is a Great source For Appliance related products. Along with the appliances themselves. I have purchased several exhaust Hoods from them over a period of eight years. Tim Mumford is a super knowledgeable, patient, and helpful sales rep (in my case, he was a skilled stove whisperer and knew how to match me to the perfect stove for my needs and budget). The selection at Universal is a vast spectrum of price, available features, and brand name. My experience buying a stove couldnt have been better. Tim and the Universal delivery people went above and beyond the call of duty to make my stove purchase a smooth and happy experience. I will definitely return for future appliance needs.

We were very disappointed with our experience at Universal Appliance. We ordered a Whirlpool refrigerator; the delivery process was delayed but ultimately was fine. However we had a problem with the drawers in the refrigerator - whereas our old fridge has little roller wheels on the drawers, ensuring that they open and close smoothly, this new fridge is just plastic on plastic, very poorly constructed. When we contacted Shawnie the salesperson she suggested we shoot a video of the problem, which we did (attached). After 5 days of waiting, we got no follow up from her, so we emailed her to see what was up. She said we are working on it - that was literally the entire response. 4 days later, no updates. I emailed her to press her further on the issue, pointing out that its pretty straightforward - if better drawers exist for the fridge, then we need to exchange them. If not, were not happy with the purchase and want to return it. All of this came after she sold us on the idea of going through Universal for the purchase, that they would provide the personal touch that big box retailers like Best Buy dont deliver. Her response was that Whirlpool suggested opening and closing the drawer a little slower for better operation. Unfortunately, there are no replacement drawers for this refrigerator, but this is the model number you brought and asked for that you saw at the other appliance dealer and since it is installed we cannot take it back. When I called Shawnie to discuss this with her, she told me that the manager of the store would get back to me to discuss the issue but that never happened. Its a shame, we were willing to exchange the fridge for a nicer one if necessary and probably spend more money with them. Another customer lost.

We were fortunate for having received a display model 30 Miele Convection Food Warming Drawer with dual heating system in December of 2008. Every home should install one; works great for any dinner party you want to throw. Doing the work ahead of time and having your kitchen tidy and spending time with your guests. They do not have very good maintenance support for their appliances. Be aware of what type of warranty you get, if it is repair only vs. replace. You want replace.Issue:We bought an appliance from Universal and 3 days after install when we went to use it, it did not work, and it has not worked since. Over the past 8 weeks Universal tech has been out 3 times, and replaced 2 parts, and it is not working still. We have notified Universal we are working with the manufacturer. The manufacturer, who used a laptop to diagnosis the problem identified the right part and order a part to replace the cooling fan. After reading feedback to Universal, within 10 mins. they called and emailed saying they would work to replace the range. 2 weeks later Universal replaced the range. While we are grateful to have. working range +10 weeks later and lost of work on our part, we are concerned with the type of support they provide after purchase. The customer service after you buy the product goes down. It is very much a deflect, defend, and point the finger at the manufacturer, who when we talked with owned any issues and would reach out to Universal to help them figure out what they needed to do. The companies need a better working relationship.Price: Competitive – Although any competitor would match their price.Sales Rep: Average – He was nice. Offered some information, pointed us to the website, however it was our research that uncovered that Universal had a discount offered via their website, which he did not know about. If we hadn’t discovered it, we would have most likely bought from a different company.Tech Support: PoorStove Range Issue after 3 days of Install:Universal visited 3 times and replaced two parts dealing with computer main boards, but issue still persisted. We had the manufacturer come out and they used a laptop to diagnosis the problem and identified a bad cooling fan. We are waiting to have it replaced by the manufacturer. The manufacturer is GE and they even offered another year warranty on top. They also have a transparent ticketing system, which tracks everything. Universal has nothing of the kind that we are aware of, and the parts ordering process is long, and they appear to have no quality assurance process or checks. We have notified Universal of where the issue stands what we are doing, and if they can offer a replace or refund. They have not responded to us and that was almost a week ago.Finally after getting an email from Universal on feedback, we gave them negative feedback, which prompted a call an email of following up to check on us 10 mins. after the feedback was sent. 2-3 weeks later they worked to get the unit replaced. It should not take +10 weeks to get a product working when you pay thousands of dollars. The company needs better understanding of how their parts are order and work or otherwise not offer support and just sell it.

Its difficult to believe that the positive reviews are genuine and not fabricated in light of our experience with UNIVERSAL APPLIANCEWe purchased a diswasher through Long Trinh, who repeated a few times how UNIVERSAL stands behind their products and their customers.First, the scheduled delivery never happened one the day it was-scheduled and no one contacted us. When we called to find out what was going on, TIm, the manager attempted to blame us while stating how perfect their delivery dept. Is. No delivery dept. Is perfect.He was rude and arrogant. We told him we wanted to cancel the order, to which he replied, well you cant. I reminded him no product was ever delivered and he saidno cancellation.Long, who called the next day, never disputedthis lie of TIms. His job is to sell, then he disappears if there is an issue.The second delivery of a product forced on us through UNIVERSAL, resulted in 5 hours waiting,the rudest delivery coordinator ever.After running the dishwasher (BOSCH), 5 times through with water and vinegar, the burning chemical smell remained.Universal sent their repair person who arrivedat 7:00 PM. 3 hours past the 12 - 4 window.He did not offer any information on tbe smell,he avoided the issue. We told him it was polluting the dishes and causing them to smell and taste like burning rubber. It is so potent 2 months later same issue exists.The repair man said we could return the dishwasher and UNIVERSAL should take it back.We told him what manager TIm had said - no return. He said he had not heard of that.BOSCH sent an aggressive, manipulative person, disgused as a repair call, Caleb, who told us before he arrived that BOSCH would take the dishwasher back provided there were no mechanical problems and that the purpose of him coming was to check for that. He didnt check. He stated it was all dishwasher soaps causing the smell. Rediculous strategy for BOSCH to avoid responsibilty for a defective product. He was so aggressive I had to tell him to leave. He took the food trap from the dishwasher with him without permission, stole it really, left no paperwork or identification of any sort.PURCELL, the distributor who sent him, never returned our call or email. Neither did IGOR, owner of UNIVERSAL APPLIANCE.Worst appliance company we ever dealt with.They are sales oriented and not customeroriented. Bad business always passes the buck and the business practice comes from the top who hire like minded.Go elsewhere. Horrible waste of time and money.
