Words cannot describe how unprofessional and inappropriate these guys are. Had we researched the previous customer reviews beforehand, we would have known better than to do business here. Vehicle was there over two months for transmission repair and was not completed. When we went there to discuss issue and resolve in a calm manner, the owner started yelling and cussing at us, and then proceeded to call the cops. We had to tow our own vehicle out away to get it back. Cops said this is not the first they have acted in this way. We paid in full upfront and we’re refused a refund. Would highly recommend to avoid doing business here! Pictures added for reference.

I wish I would have read reviews prior to taking a vehicle to this shop. Transmission on truck was having issues and took it to Horns. As expected they stated it needed a new transmission.....They replaced it with a rebuilt one and 3 months later, plus the truck being in and out of their shop 3 times they decided to not honor the warranty with only 413 miles on it.At this point I had to take the truck to 2 other reputable shops. Both shops stated the transmission had to be rebuilt. Now I am out the cost of a second transmission due to negligence in the repair of the 1st transmission.Mike Horn is absolutely the most unprofessional, out of control business owner I have ever met. If you want very bad customer service and exremely poor vehicle repair, then this is the shop for you.

Stay away!!! They had my car for almost a year and a half and it’s still not fixed. Only this time they let it get towed to a Recovery yard and I can’t pay the $1000 to retrieve it. They are cheats, liars and totally unprofessional. Almost $2000 they stole from me. It was in their possession twice and still was not fixed. I would take them to small claims court but they’re an LLC so I’d have to get a lawyer. Hoping the attorney general can help me recoup some of this money. It’s truly unbelievable. Sounds like a bad movie but no friends it’s not.

I wanted to give this guy five stars because he did fix the problem with my transmission in a very timely manner at a reasonable price. My issue is that there were things missing afterwards.

My automatic transmission lost third gear. Took it to a few shops and didnt like their prices, at all. Found Horns and was amazed at the price compared to the other shops. Decided to give them a chance and I have not been disappointed. So, the truck is only 7 years old. Bought it used with around 15K miles on it. After they finished it up, it has never run so good! Pushing the gas pedal felt mushy before, just chocked it up to being a lower end Chevy. Wow, was I wrong. The torque converter upgrade he did now puts power quickly to the transmission. The valve housing rebuild he did makes this thing shift fast and yet still smooth. I actually like this truck now. Great work, great work ethic, great prices. You will not be disappointed using their services!

Clutch was going out and I needed my truck for work, they rushed on the job. Doing more than was originally discussed. I dropped my truck off planning to leave quickly, ended up staying around and making friends with the owners. Truck was ready the next day! Will continue to use them in the future .

Trust us. RUN!!!! Dont walk away from this place. Ill give them 2 years. Everyone there will be sued and prosecuted for ROBBERY!!!

These hacks dont even deserve 1 star. Extremely unprofessional crooks. Took car in for repair and they caused an additional $7000 in damage that they refuse to be responsible for. Refused to refund money for their work that was NOT completed. mechanics are untrained, incompetent and unskilled. Stay as far away from these hacks as you can.

I called to bring in my vehicle. But after reading their replies to peoples reviews on here Ive changed my mind. If this is how they act then Im not even giving them the chance.

They are not honest and they lose their temper/professionalism quickly at times. The wife/receptionist will call you a liar right to your face! They don’t want to honor their warranty.

If I could give them a ( -7), I would. They worked on my transmission 7 different times and I spent over $4000 in 14 months. They never got it right. Would not refund anything.I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND SUPERIOR TRANSMISSION IN JACKSONVILLE. They are the real deal for less money. Those guys are professional. HORNS AUTOMOTIVE IS A JOKE!!! I HONESTLY DONT KNOW HOW THEY ARE IN BUSINESS.

Not honest, very unprofessional. Car was in their shop 4 different time for same issue. They never could fix it correctly and will not refund your money. After 4th attempt, finally got our car back after a 3 month stay and to no avail, transmission acts up worse than it did and now has a massive exhaust leak. Please read their reviews before you visit them !!!! ☹️

I ended up with my transmission going out 3 hours away from where I live and had to leave my truck where it was. Mikes a hero in my book, he got my truck and fixed it up better than it ever was and got me going again. They were a great help and are a great set of people

Horrible experience Ive been cussed out my life was Threatened. The police were called in order for me To get my vehicle back. After I was been over and given the chef to get my vehicle back I get it home and it is leaking all over the place

Our truck stopped shifting gears on the freeway, so we came to Horns automotive and transmission repair to have our transmission rebuilt. They are amazing. They went above and beyond for us. They drove us to the bank, and to a hotel to stay for the night. When we came back in the morning, they offered us a ride to go gwt some food for breakfast. I felt like i was bwing treated like one of their family. He got my truck done in less than 24 hours so we werent stuck away from home for too long. I highly recommend this shop to anyone with vehicle needs. He does much more than just transmissions. And they dont charge an arm and a leg for top quality work.
