Mark Schwartz Violins does excellent restoration work. They took an old String Bass that I found in pieces and turned it into beautiful looking and sounding instrument. Friendly, knowledgable staff are happy to help you out. I could not be happier with my experience!

I agree with the other five star reviewers. The team is friendly, helpful, very knowledgeable, honest, fair and the rentals are very reasonably priced. Initially I didnt know where to go for a rental. I am so glad that I came here first rather than trying another shop. I enjoy the feel of the shop and the camaraderie.

Mark Schwartz and his staff are very helpful and friendly when my daughter needed a new violin. To get into symphony orchestra, the teacher said her current violin was the only thing holding her back.I found his selection was better than his competitors in Ann Arbor. For the same price I would have paid in Ann Arbor, which didnt sound any better than her student violin. The one we fell in love with, Mark had restored it, it had such a beautiful tone that when her teacher heard her play - she told us that she could move up to symphony orchestra. Since then we have bought two bows there and go back there to have it checked out just before she plays for a wedding.Thank you to Mark and his staff for a wonderful job and caring about giving customers a great experience.
