This place has changed our lives! What a huge improvement! The staff is excellent in all areas! We take advantage of many options they offer, a few of our favorites include the kids academy who takes care of my son if I’m working out, getting my hair done or even a massage! They offer a parents night out from 5-8pm on some Fridays and Saturdays so mom and dad can have go have dinner and our son plays and does fun activities with other kids. The classes are fantastic! The instructors are phenomenal and remember your name and always cheer you on! The staff is on top of keeping the facility clean (actually sparkling) and keeping towels and toiletries fully stocked! I love it it here!

This place is amazing! Always so clean , the staff always so helpful welcoming and just good energy. Had the best personal trainer! His name is Chris Bello, helped me understand how to train for MY body not like all of the genetic workouts most trainers show you. Explains everything so well, listens to you, and really explains everything you need to do to get results. This guy is so amazing, because he really did helped me out on my Journey for weight loos and just healthier lifestyle. 100% recommend Chris and just lifetime in general!

Plenty of equipment, always clean and great customer service. Whenever I have a question about equipment, everyone is always helpful including other guests. Also, machine maintenance is always on point. Love the classes they offer too. Positive and friendly atmosphere.

Never cancelled my membership tried to see what I needed to start going back. I loved it but the lack of communication. I called 5 times and was put on hold each time over 20 mins and hung up on. Left messages never got a callback. They need a receptionist badly.

This is a great gym, as soon as you walk in the staff greets you and are welcomed by an amazing atmosphere. They weight section is always well put together and very clean which shows that the staff does care about the members. Jose Gonzalez was a very great help for me when I attended.

I recently signed up again at Lifetime and have nothing but positive things to say about this gym. Everyone is so friendly! Donna the director of the fitness program is super helpful, if it wasn’t for her I would of never gotten out of my comfort zone and tried all these new classes. Her cycle and yoga classes I highly recommend.In fact, all the instructors are amazing!Edna, Elliot and Mim’s fitness classes are my fave, all super high energy, challenging and fun.Also their kids academy, Keeps the kids busy with so many fun things to do. There is so many extra curricular activities. From swimming to basketball training (coach Arnell is awesome) my kid’s love coming here.

Every time I’ve come in the gym is always extremely clean and everyone has been extremely accommodating during these tough times. Aaron Cruz, one of the account managers, specifically has been very accommodating to both me and people that have wanted to learn more about Lifetime. He has been one of the many reasons why so many of my friends have joined Lifetime, and has done everything to his capacity to make sure my experience at Lifetime Fitness is nothing but first class. I truly could not have asked for a better experience at a gym.

Life time is a great place with great people, especially the account manager Aaron. I have gone in a few times to checkout the gym and Aaron has been fantastic with his customer service and professionalism. 10/10 would recommend this gym and if you do ever come to check it out ask for Aaron because he has been amazing throughout this process! This gym is at a great location, and has all of the amenities you can think of. All of the equipment is modern and clean. The staff does a great job keeping the facility clean and safe. The account managers are understanding and helpful, especially Aaron Cruz. If you’re thinking of just trying the gym out, ask for a guest pass and ask for Aaron, he’s extremely friendly and helpful.

This gym is always clean and has all the equipment I could possibly want. I am always able to get ahold of the strength training equipment I need and cardio machines are always plentiful. The gym is kept in great shape and is very clean. The staff is friendly and the towels are always clean and available! The facilities here are great and I always feel welcome and prepared to conquer my workout goals.

It is a “high end” gym, big, modern and glamorous. It has so many things to do- not only the lifting area, but also climbing 🧗‍♀️ Basketball 🏀 Spa, Sauna 🧖‍♀️, Djakuzzi, Pool 🏊‍♀️ Cafe, classes, and many more. I personally consider this place very clean, especially since recently it changed to much cleaner and much accommodating facility. Still, there are many things to review for the management:1) bad reviews- maybe you’ll try to reach to each of these ppl and offer them at least one free month, or a Protein Shake to change it?2) consider changing and retraining your staff- so many unhappy ppl, no adequate management3) parking lot always full. Are you sure all the vehicles are legally parked? Maybe some people simply park it overnight or during the day and go shopping in Burr Ridge...?4) it is almost impossible to exercise on evenings- sooo busy! All the machines are busy and ppl are really fighting for a spot! Maybe someone can monitor all this, and if a member is texting or chilling on a machine- ask him/her to move... nicely...So, I gave you a 5 star review, because I don’t want hurt your rating, and probably, you guys are doing a lot for it, but still more have to be improved. Try from being nicer to the members, and more welcoming . Good luck.🍀

Positive and friendly atmosphere.

I give 1 start only because this is a requirement. Ive been a member for 10 years now, rude staff ESPECIALLY FRONT DESK person JAKE!!! HE was very unprofessional! The worst experience! and half of the functions are closed because of corona, which is understandable, BUT THEY KEEP CHARGING THE SAME PRICE OF OVER 140$ per month. CANCELLING MY MEMBERSHIP!

Recently got a membership, and now I understand the hype of Life Time. The facility is very clean, great customer service, and plenty of equipment. I really enjoyed the yoga classes Ive been in, looking forward to make it a regular addition to my self care!

I have been coming to this place for years, I was thinking about switching to a different location closer to home. BUT the only thing holding me back is the kids center. Nathalie G is amazing with kids. I always had trouble dropping my kids of off but she has made it so easy! She is so sweet and makes my child feel at home. If you have kids and have fitness goals, this is the place to go. Look for Nathalie G! She is amazing!

Need to replace or bring back the squat machine that was removed.

I love it how I pay 120 dollars a month and still closing at 9 and 10 pm. Even xsport is 24 hours now. Overpriced and over rated. The general manager should be managing a krispy kreme not a gym thats for sure.

I have held gym memberships at several facilities, moving based on relocating circumstances. So I have witnesses quite a few different types of spaces and chains and management. I’d identify this health club as outstanding.I happened to be home visiting family for just a few days recently and wanted to remain commitment to my fitness goals and routines. With the cold, snowy weather and limited space inside of my family’s home, I contacted Lifetime Athletic Burr Ridge to inquire about purchasing a guest pass for just three days. u2028u2028Armando, one of the account managers, was exceptionally compassionate, understanding, and accommodating and worked out an option for me to come in for the duration of my stay. He was intentional to greet me at the lobby entrance as I arrived and offered a tour of the facility. u2028u2028The reception team [I wish I had gotten the name of the woman who was there the first two days I came] was friendly and joyful, too.The staff has prioritized health and safety, establishing clear routes of foot traffic to promote social distancing. All guests are screened for temperature at check-in. There are signs throughout the spaces to remind guests to practice wearing masks, cleaning equipment, and staying contained in their own space. I noticed that guests took ownership to clean equipment diligently before and after use, a testament to the management and culture that has been created at this Lifetime.The locker room space is clean and bright. The cardio equipment is spaced out and has signage to direct guests to use certain machines to remain six feet from another individual. The open spaces and wights and other fitness accessories are always re-racked, and there was no shortage of towels or cleaning supplies. u2028u2028I utilized the on-campus cafe area and ordered a protein shake one of my days there and it was tasty, decently-priced, and made carefully by a cheerful staff member.I didn’t take advantage of any classes [many currently offered through online streaming, I believe], personal training, studio spins sessions, pool or court spaces, or Spa accommodations, but it is evident that everything is well maintained.To anyone who is seeking a gym facility - especially who may have concerns during the global health crisis - I highly recommend and trust that this Lifetime is operating with health, safety, fitness, and care at the forefront of their values. :0)

I wish they had a general manager that was actually fit and athletic running the place. It would make it more professional.

Positives:-Overall nice gym. Been a member for years. Crowded at times but its not too bad. The fees are increasing every year. When I started it was in the 90-95$ a month range now it’s $120. If it wasn’t for the increase in fees, I’d be back.

This lifetime is pretty well kept but extremely outdated compared to other lifetimes out there. All the staff are really nice except maybe 1 or 2 workers who just seem grumpy. The café food and protein smoothies are excellent. The café is also really clean and a great place to be. Tons of weight lifting options but sometimes way too crowded in the weight rooms. The gym is usually being rented out by a birthday or pickleball which is not the best but there should be one side always available for basketball since there is 2 courts. Not sure why they removed the squash rooms which were pretty cool. They are doing renovations over-time but you can see the age in the place. No waterslide outside but they do have 2 inside which are not for usage 98% of the time. Seriously, I have been here over 200 times and have seen the waterslides on probably twice. I grew up here and adore this place so I do recommend it but if you can try out the new Oakbrook location first if it suits you financially.

I’ve been a member for almost one year . This place is awesome. The management it’s amazing everything you need they will help you. Most of the trainers they are very experienced and professional. I just have to say Kids Academy at this place its beyond five stars . All Teachers are very talented Especially Monica very knowledgeable and awesome with kids. I also want to give a special thank you to Jen she’s works in front desk. Very friendly and she greets everyone with a beautiful smile. She’s on top of everything one time my daughter wasn’t feeling good she immediately noticed that and give me a call right away. For me that’s 💯excellent work. IHighly recommend to all the moms out there kids Academy it’s one of the best.

The water at this gym was exceptionally warm. Now is cold , its sad and very disappointing because my kiddos dont have the same fun as before. I hope the management can solve this issue soon.

Great amenities!! They cost more than most other gyms. But they have way better stuffs. It’s super clean. And they had sanitizing wipes before it was a thing .. lol .. I can’t wait to go back !!!

Our family rejoined Lifetime after being away several years. So glad we did for several reasons. The staff are all very kind and so helpful. Their cafe sells a lot of tasty, mostly healthy snacks & meals. One time I went to buy some water there but I was short a quarter. The staff member gave me one of their quarters so that I could have the water. So nice!Lifetime is a really well-appointed exercise facility. They have 2 indoor pools, huge whirlpool, sauna, huge locker rooms, & an exceptional workout area. I was told that they replace equipment every two years. Definitely top-of-the-line equipment. I really enjoy their bikes.I also recommend Personal Training at Lifetime. They give you a couple complimentary sessions to help you set your fitness goals. I had the opportunity to train with Trevor, who manages Personal Training at Lifetime. He is amazing. I felt like he knew exactly how to help me. I’ve had a few personal trainers in the past who were ok, but I always felt like I was just “going through the motions” working out with them. They just weren’t that inspiring. However, Trevor made my sessions with him so much fun. He’s got such a great attitude & is so inspirational. He showed me exercises I had never done before. Exercises which really made sense for my current needs. I think he & his staff will really help me gain a lot of energy and good health back.

This is my second home , I have been going to this gym for 10 years ! I first joined with family plan, my kids they now have opened their own. We all love it they have everything from basketball to rock climbing.. I’ve had one of my daughters birthday there! Amazing crew and amazing gym definitely recommend even though it may be a little more pricey than other gyms everything is worth it .

I had a billing error and the staff took care of it immediately.It is a busy club but its because its such a great place. I see some of these reviews and am appalled by some comments As a consumer, if you dont like something then dont purchase it.If youre on the fence, get a pass to check it out and decide for yourself.

Hello everyone, I have something to share, I was member with Lifetime for 1y. after I move in NY. I got back here to visit friend from Europe. We decided to go in Lifetime around 9pm Sunday. We were driving like 40min to come there only for spa. I offered to pay for me and friend, but I was told that register is closed. I tried to explain they didn’t wanna listen so the easiest way was to kick us out!!!

If I could I would give 0 stars or -5 stars. Service is terrible. I had membership in Burr Ridge location since 01/02/2018. In a year and the half I went to the gym only 5 times. I was paying every month almost $160. I did not payed membership for May and I started to receive delinquency notices. Today I went to Burr Ridge office to see asst manager Sarah Trust and solve this issue. I Left with paying almost $250 (they gave me discount) for May and June and I will be charged $91 more because I can’t close my membership immediately. My membership will be closed only on 07/18/19 (30 days after notice) event I will not go there. I’m not mad that I payed my membership all this year and I went only 5 times to the gym (it was my choice), I’m mad that this lady Sarah Trust was very rude and was not willing to understand the situation that I’m in to. No exception, strict rules huge loss in my pocket, very very bad experience, because I did not read the contract. It’s not fair, but this is the way how corporation works.

I’ve been a member since 2013. Always had a nice experience, staff is pleasant. The classes included in my membership are great. I did an intro to yoga class which was really informative. Awesome massages to help with muscle recovery. The equipment has always been everything I could want. Only complaint would be of other customers and their cell phone use on equipment, and kids screaming in the woman’s locker room/showers. But those issues aren’t controlled by Lifetime.

My husband and I are members since they opened several years ago. The facility is great. If I do not use it often, it is my own fault. My only concern is that they keep increasing their fee every year. There is no senior discount, there is no loyalty discount. They do not participate with any insurance company. Now a days, several insurance company ( including mine, Aetna) have fitness center benefit. But I can not use it.

Yikes explains the experience I had there today. I get when it’s hot out it’s going to be crammed on the pool deck but that’s no excuse for bad service at the bistro. There were only lines during safety breaks no other time. I’m amazed I got my order taken, yet alone had some food left on my plate. The woman working there just sat on her phone the entire time. I had to knock on the open window in order to get her attention away from her phone. She had a horrible attitude and looked like she wanted to kill everyone at the pool. When the food came she threw it down on the table and dropped the napkins on the floor (didn’t pick it up for me) and didn’t even bother to take the number. Told me I didn’t have to clean my garbage up and that the lifeguards would do that because it’s their job (I thought it was to make sure no one drowned). I took care of my own garbage cause I’m not a terrible person like she told me to be and then flipped out on the lifeguards when they asked if she wanted them to grab her numbers for her. Overall an incredibly negative experience I really expected more, mainly just don’t sit on her phone be semi attentive and be rude to everyone.

Beautiful resort like fitness center, for a steep monthly membership fee. I noticed that there are less free group fitness classes nowadays . They are either pushing for members to hire a trainer or enroll to special fitness classes for a fee.

Lifetime offers a ton of classes so you have motivation to go and workout with a group. They have a large number of personal trainers for private and group training. The location has done as much as possible for members to feel comfortable and get the most out of their membership.

I’ve been a member at this location since they opened up. I Have not been disappointed in years. Great management great staff great equipment you got everything that you really need.

I don’t feel safe or comfortable using this location anymore, I have been a member for over ten years. Two weeks ago I was assaulted by another member stemming from a problem I have been complaining about for over six months. Some members monopolize two or three machines at a time, thus causing confrontations and verbal altercations when other members try to use the empty machines. I filed a complaint with a staff member and was told the manager would watch the security video and contact me. After five days of not being contacted I went and filed a police report.After 10 days I reached out to a manager at another facility. Said he would get back to me, I informed him I will not speak with the Burr Ridge manager. Got a call back and it was the Burr Ridge manager, I informed her I would not speak with her as I previously stated and I still haven’t been contacted by another member of management.I have had previous horrible interactions with the female manager and staff of this facility before. Like when I presented with an order of protection on another member. She asked inappropriate questions such as “who had been a member longer” and “why we lived at the same address”. After asking more questions she then informed me she didn’t know how to handle an order of protection and forwarded my information to the legal department. I waited twenty minutes to speak with her because I was told she was the only staff member who could address such.

Even though I have never been a member of Life Time Fitness, nor, knowing what I know now, would I ever be, nor would I ever recommend this facility to my worst enemies, I feel that it is important to share my thoughts. This past July an elderly woman passed away in a toilet stall but was not found until nearly two days later. I get that s#!t happens, and though it is tempting to think that an early enough response would have saved a life, it is probably unfair to blame the facility for the death. However, for a person to die in a public place while remaining unnoticed for a couple days is inexcusable. I know for a fact that any business open to the public will clean all bathroom facilities at least once daily, often multiple times, though how often and how thoroughly is down to prerogatives of management and depends on the nature of the business. REMEMBER that this is NOT a 24/7 facility. They have set closing and opening times, almost 24 hours, but not entirely. They close once a night for 3 hours for no reason other than to be able to perform deep cleaning and maintenance, among other needs. If a guest is found in the restroom after closing, then the employee has a responsibility to alert them that the gym is closed. This whole respect for the privacy of our members excuse is a ruse! If nothing else, the fact that one may literally die in this facility only to be found days after is a strong indication of the carelessness, inattentiveness, indifference, and negligence of this pitiful excuse for a club. It tells us how often they clean the bathrooms.

If you enjoy having 70 percent or more of your workout space and equipment blocked by expensive group training during the peak hours of 6-9 am and 5-8 pm monday through friday by all means sign up. $$$$. Its Hard to believe what we pay in membership fees doesnt keep this place profitable enough.

I came to Life time Fitness for the first time for a tour. Jose Gonzalez gave me the tour. At the end of the tour he guided me to his office on the lower level. He asked if I wanted to join. I told him I couldnt afford it each month. So he offered that I try the gym for a couple weeks at half price at fifty dollars. I agreed to try it out. Not once did he suggest any type of free guess pass. He told me since it was Jan .17, that I can just pay for the two weeks and if I dont like it I can cancel at anytime. He explained how it wasnt a contract and that I can cancel at anytime without any hidden fees or consequences or being locked in on a commitment. I said okay and preceded in the process of electronically singing on the computer. Even though I felt rushed signing the digital agreements I asked questions on what I was signing. He said that I was just confirming that all of my info was correct such as my address and card information.Today I tried to cancel and he informed me about the cancellation policy. He said that I will be charged for next month and have to give a thirty day notice. I asked him why he didnt mention it before and replies that he thought he pointed it out to me. I told him he didnt because he told me it wasnt a contract and I was just trying it out. I was scammed and lied to. I feel robbed. I do not recommend. I just dont understand the pushy sale pitch entrapment that keeps customers bind in this process to make money for stakeholders and corporate overheads over the people. Its truthfully a shady business practice that needs the Inspector Generals Office looked into this. Do not under any circumstances do business with this establishment. You have been warned.

Been a member since 2015 and by far one of the best clubs around. Always a super clean facility, amazing and friendly staff, especially Ashley Galik!!! This is a MUST check out location if you are looking to change things up and to achieve those new fitness goals!!

Went here for a few months last year since they caught my interest with the fancy trial day. I thought it would be a higher end gym with quality services, but it was just expensive. The vibe is very ”corporate” and feels like a snobby club. Save your money and go elsewhere.

We have been with lifetime burr ridge for 7 plus years, but ever since the new management took over it has been getting worse every year. everyone makes their own rules every time you walk in, credit card over charged( I am glad I catch it all the time), employees are just disrespectful all the time.they done care if you are satisfied or not, you never get a call for anything thing wrong they have done. I think its time for a change.

Very friendly staff specially the group fitness instructors.They are helpful and not above their heads.Every one should try Monday strike with Bethany and Marys TCX on Tuesdays.Yoga instructors are great as well.I cant say anything negative about the club except the few slob members who think they have their own housekeepers to cater for them.They do not belong to any clubs at all as far as I am concern.Hey dudes take a shower.You stink the whole place and you have the nerve to blame the place.Another instructors very worth their salts are Janet and Jessica who unfortunately is no longer teaching due family affair.It is a shame Bernie (yoga)is gone a very motivational instructor.
