My 2 year old daughter had a fall over the weekend that impacted her teeth. After waiting on insurance, another dentists referral and finally getting in with an oral surgeon they scheduled us for over a week out even though my daughter was struggling drinking, eating and sleeping. We had her at our pediatrician pleading for help and they sent us here right away. The staff was courteous, friendly and straight to the point. After feeling like no one would help us with immediate care, Dentistry for Children was expecting us. They met us at the door, were ready for x-rays and had to perform a tooth extraction. Although it was a tough experience, they got my daughter the help she needed. The Doctor and Hygienists were fast, efficient in their diagnosis (more hopeful than the oral surgeon) the work performed and excellent communicators. A couple hours after the procedure she is finally eating, drinking and snug in bed but she has a new smile well have to live with! We are so so thankful for their quick response to our needs! They now have a new family to add to their list and I know that we can count on them for care and would refer anyone with kids to go here! Thank you Dr. Lindsay!

Wonderful childrens dentist. All the staff is so kind and caring. My daughter told me she actually had fun at the dentist when she got her teeth cleaned.

They gave us peace of mind, as well as making our children very comfortable with getting their teeth cleaned. High recommend for kids!

This was my 3 year olds first real cleaning. The hygienist did great in explaining to my daughter what was going to happen first and let my daughter touch all of the tools so she was comfortable having them in her mouth. They made it a fun experience.

I love this place... all of the staff behind the scenes are GREAT and its always a pleasure. The only thing I dont like is the two ladies in the front desk, they have never been friendly to us. They need to smile a little more ☺

I love this place , they have always understood my child and done what ever needed to make him more comfortable . He happens to be on the spectrum or Ausum as I like to call it . He will be eighteen next month I thought I would have to look for a new dentist which makes me extremely sad , however they will see him until hes nineteen . When I found that out I was so so happy !!!!

The staff at the Burnsville clinic has been so great with our son who started going to his first appointments at 3. We will definitely be taking our daughter a lot earlier than 3 as we have seen how well the staff works with children to make a somewhat intimidating process completely painless.

This Dental office is amazing! My daughter has high anxiety, and doesnt cooperate with any other dental offices. Here, they are so calm and fun, they can get my daughter to do everything they need to do! The staff is super friendly, and I trust their judgement each and every time we come in.

My 6yr old is autistic and delayed, so mentally hes more around 3yrs old. He wont even allow anyone to look in his mouth much less put anything in it so cleanings are out of the question. The dentist was great with him, he really had to work to see those teeth but didnt get mad or frustrated with my son. The rest of the staff was great too, no one made me feel embarrassed for how crazy hyper he was being. My 9yr old was also very scared going in to his appt and they made it a really good experience for him.

My goodness, these folks know what they are doing! They do an amazing job of talking to kids in a way they can understand and make it less scary. They also do such wonderful work incredibly quickly. I would bring my kids to them anytime!

My 5 year old son was so scared going into his dentist visit. The last time he was there all the COVID protocols were new and he was freaked out! He was more prepared this time and was trying to be brave, but fear took over and he went off running toward the door. When I got him back to the chair, the hygienist did such a great job comforting him and showing him exactly what she was going to do and what tools she was going to use. She demonstrated on a teddy bear and even let him feel the tools. Because of her patience and reassurance, my son had a successful visit!

The reception that we receive at every visit is the same. Everyone that we encounter is helpful and friendly. Even though we dont live in Burnsville anymore we still come back because of their professionalism.

The staff was SUPER friendly and kind. They made helpful accommodations for our 2 year old, answered our questions, put us at ease, and gave helpful advice. The reason I wouldnt give our latest visit 5 stars is that we were exactly on time for our appointment but had to wait 30 min. to be seen by the dentist. Thats a long time for a 2 year old to wait with no waiting room. The staff made the best of it, but that couldve been better.

My daughter suffers from an anxiety disorder. Going to the dentist is always stressful for her. The staff are so patient with her they explain each step they are going to do. Show her the tools they are using and explain their uses. They take so much time to do their best to alleviate as much of her fears as they can, and give her time if she needs a few minute break. Tremendous empathy and patience. Would recommend to any parent they are awesome!

I wish I could give this more than 5 stars. We took our daughter there for her first visit and had the most incredible experience. Shannon and Dr. Sally were so kind and thoughtful through the whole thing. We love going there!!!

I was very nervous for my 3 year olds appointment because he does not do well at the doctor, but they took the time to explain everything to him in kids terms and let him touch all the tools. He did great and wasn’t scared at all. Would highly recommend for kiddos!

I brought my daughter in for some fillings. They worked fast and efficient. My concerns was when she didnt get to hear my warning about the novicain; and, how she was uncomfortable with the gas over her nose.

Extremely satisfied that we came here. Dr. Dan always explains everything patiently and goes over all possible options. They dont seem to rush into doing something drastic like surgery unless it is the only option left. They are also very gentle, caring and attentive with our 2 yr old and now she actually seems excited to come to the dentist office.

We took our three year old daughter for her first checkup today. She was very excited to go to the dentist. The hygienist did a fantastic job showing her all the tools and letting her touch everything before she began the cleaning. The dentist did a great job making our daughter feel comfortable before he started the exam. Everyone went above and beyond to make this an amazing first experience. Its my biggest mistake i went there for my kids routine dental checkup..Thay just do lot of extra rhings those were not covered in insurance to get money...For normal routine chech up they send me a big bill that make me really upset...so please pkease dont go there.My previous dental clinic did not charge me any bill as all was covered by same insurance company. Same thing i asked from Dentistry for achildren staff before taking appoinment, she said their clinic is in health parterners network.But on this bill when i checked with health partners, they said Dentistry for Children is not is in health partners network.why your staff misguide me???

Was curious how everything was gonna work with the new Covid19 protocol, it was flawless. We didnt have to wait for our appointment, everything went right on time. The girls were awesome with my kids, they exolain everything to them as they are doing it, always still following the new protocol. Dr. Dan is awesome, my kids love him. We had a wonderful experience for my daughters first check up. Ms. Julie was very patient and informative. My daughter who is 2 was actually able to get her teeth cleaned and I firmly believe that it is because Ms. Julie took the time to explain everything and in such a fun easy way. Both of my children (5 & 3) had cleanings today. It was the smoothest, easiest dentist visit ever! They were able to complete their cleanings simultaneously and the staff was so wonderful! It was my 3 year olds first visit and her hygienist walked her through the steps and equipment before getting started. Making it silly and like a game had her feeling so comfortable, I was so impressed! We visited Dentistry for Children for a second opinion appointment. Not only was the waiting room very kid-friendly, but the hygienist and dentist were very welcoming to my child. They offered to let him sit in a regular chair, had toys to offer him, and did the show, see, do to help make him comfortable. We loved this methodology, and there was no upsell to the process. We will be moving here for regular dental care from now on!

They were so great with him, the exam was fast and efficient, I recieved some great advice on how to keep his teeth healthy, and they provided a wonderful education on everything teeth! Everyone is so friendly starting the moment you walk in the door. Their waiting room is wonderful, filled with toys, and my sons favorite, a fish tank! We will for sure be returning and recommend this place to everyone!

Amazing! Our experience with our most recent cleaning and follow-up appointments for additional dental work on both our kids beat all expectations by the Dentistry for Children & Adolescent staff. Our kids were at ease with the cleaning. But when we were told wed have to come back for additional dental attention, my heart stopped with worry for my kids. The staff put me at ease. The staff was absolutely wonderful with the kids, patient, answered all their questions, let them hold the dental tools and explained in terms of which theyd understand of what was going to happen next. Had an amazing approach to distracting, drawing attention elsewhere as they worked through some of the more challenging steps in repairing their teeth. We parents were impressed and our kids left feeling good (numb but good). We are very happy with the service and the feeling they give our kids of visiting the dentist. Well see you in 6 months. My youngest was super scared of the entire process, but the hygienist took her time explaining things, helping my daughter feel comfortable, and using her knowledge of children to get her teeth cleaned and examined. She was a miracle worker yesterday!My oldest had a hygienist that helped her feel good and comfortable while I was with my youngest, and they were even able to take care of the filling she needed the very same day!

Had a short window to get my granddaughter into the dentist to get a tooth fixed. She is 4. They did a fantastic job she was comfortable the entire time they kept her engaged and answered all the questions a four year old would have. And there were many. I highly recommended them.

My 8/yo daughter and I visited this clinic for the first time this week.The entire staff, from start to finish, were exceptional. They focused on my daughters comfort the whole time, taking time to explain what to expect, without treating her like a baby. They were thorough and offered great information and explanations to me regarding upcoming procedures and insurance. The clinic was also clean and very comfortable. I would strongly recommend them!!

I have an autistic son and all of the staff that works on his teeth are very patient and accommodating of his needs. Even though I moved, I continue to visit the Burnsville clinic despite it being further away. I am going to miss Dr Pamela Erikson as she is retiring in 2021. I would highly recommend this clinic to any parent looking for a new dental provider for their children

We have been coming here for many years and have never had a negative experience. My daughter has disabilities and a pretty significant fear of going to the dentist. Our hygienists and Dr. Sally have always been so patient and caring toward her, helping her to slowly become comfortable with the dental experience. She has gone from needing exams under anesthesia to sitting calmly and letting them clean her teeth from start to finish. Dr. Sally really cares about her patients and I love her positivity in how she interacts with both the kids and the parents. This is an amazing place!

I have three very different children. My daughter LOVES the dentist and loved everything about this place. My oldest is wiggly and nervous. His dental tech was great working with him and understanding. My youngest is very nervous/scared. His dental tech was AMAZING. She took the extra time to show him everything and how it worked. He wound up sitting in the chair by himself and was able to get a full cleaning. I was very impressed with everyone.

Dentistry is great, the only reason for lack of 5 stars is that as a parent, it is a hassle for me to pay the bill. Like all of us I pay tons of medical bills, and everybody has a quick (couple of clicks) way to do this online with my health savings account visa, but when I tried to do this on their website I need some sort of weird PIN I need to get at the office, and finally just said forget it, Ill call them when I get a chance during office hours. Highly recommend updated to a modern online bill-pay and you have 5 stars for sure.

After taking my now 6.5 year old to two other dentists I found this Dentistry for Children and the minute we walked in I knew it was awesome. From colorful waiting room with tons of interaction for everyone to the kind and friendly staff that don’t rush you. They realize kids have anxiety and work with them and the parents to get through things. Always walking out with a smile and telling them how proud I am of them and how brave they were. We would not go any where else!

My daughter loves this place. We have been taking her since she was 2 and we have had nothing but a great experience. My daughter always looks forward to picking out something from the toy book. AMAZING place to bring your kids! My kids love going to the dentist! One of my children just had a filling and I am so incredibly impressed with how well the procedure went! I think my kiddo almost enjoyed it! My child is generally nervous and scared about things but they are so amazing with kids he wasnt nervous or scared at all! They walked him through the procedure in a kid-friendly way. He got laughing gas and gel to numb the area and then the dentist and assistant talked non-stop about getting a tiny elephant as a pet while they poked with the needle. My kid didnt even realize what they were doing. At the end of the procedure his only concern was which Lego superhero they drew on his tooth (another awesome trick they used to keep the procedure kid-friendly.) Highly recommend this place!!!

Wow is all I can say. My normally very shy three year just had his first ever dentist appointment. I was expecting screaming, yelling, and attitude from him. A ton of patience and showing him the tools led to the best first cleaning ever. Im thrilled to have somewhere to go that my little man isnt afraid of. THANK YOU!

Update: My seven year old just had his back molars sealed yesterday. He has a lot of anxiety and fear of getting dental work done. The procedure went great. My little guy rose to the occasion, but in large part it was due to the staff talking to him through the procedure and keeping him calm. They were able to get us in and out very quickly, which helped a lot too. Thank you for making this a positive experience!Dr Pam and the hygienists are so good working with my highly sensitive children. One of my children has a developmental delay and is sensitive to tastes and the other is afraid of getting his teeth cleaned. They are great at making adjustments on the fly to help make my kids as comfortable as possible. I definitely recommend this practice.

Dentistry for Children & Adolescents in Burnsville did a wonderful job making my daughter feel comfortable for her first dental check up/cleaning. They explained what each of the tools they were using on her teeth did in kid terms and she was very excited about the toy at the end.

We arrived early and the children loved playing in the waiting room and watching the fish. We were able to get into our appointment early which was great! Our hygienist Julia was amazing with our very nervous 3 year old son and he made it through the entire cleaning and exam. This was his third try at getting his teeth cleaned. We had been told by another practice that our 5 year old would need to put under general anesthesia to get extensive work done including crowns. We came to Dentistry for Children in Burnsville & they were able to help us in 2 office visits without any crowns needed! They were so patient and friendly! I will be bringing all my children here from now on!

I have an almost 5 year old and our 1st visit hadnt gone so great when we got to the flossing part. She was done. Now, after a year, she did so great! The technician was so much fun and kept my daughter engaged and she got through her 1st cleaning!!

Dr. Dan is great with kids and the hygienists are always wonderful, walking the kids through the cleaning procedures and ensuring that they’re comfortable and understand what’s happening. We are so pleased with the care our kids have received and we will absolutely continue seeing Dr. Dan.

Our son has only ever seen Dr. Schutte ! She and all the wonderfully kind and patient and understanding staff have always made our son so comfortable in what couldve been a very high intensity experience for him. It wasnt long before he trusted them all so much he graduated from the private setting to the open area. They are so respectful and listen so intently to his concerns and silly stories he likes to share! 5 stars arent enough its been a 10 since day 1.

Dentist and Hygiene are very nice BUT receptionist, scheduling and business office are very rude and irresponsible. They try to bill you before sending to insurance so they can double dip and hope no one catches it.

I brought my 2.5 year old son there this morning and had prepared myself for the worst as he SCREAMS during haircuts and at the doctor. While there was still a few tears, most of them were brought on because he didn’t want to leave since he was having so much fun playing with a truck they had there. Everyone was so kind (we saw Kristin and Dr Sally) and really put me and my son at ease. Highly recommend!

All three of my children absolutely enjoy coming to Dentistry for Children and Adolescents in Burnsville, MN. After his last appointment, my son asked me why we cant go every week! The staff is wonderfully proficient, personable, and efficient, always making the kids feel completely at ease!
