Simply a note of recognition and appreciation for Pat’s professionalism, knowledge and patience in guiding a new PDC spa owner. Pat helped me through the learning curve, rather than cliff, regarding spa setup, startup and maintenance of my PDC Luxury Series Biscayne Spa.My extremely positive review, see above, of Dixon Pool and Spa, Inc. was premature and proved to be quite the opposite. In late March ’21, I took a defective valve on my new PDC Spa to the dealer. PDC confirmed that the replacement part was delivered and received the beginning of April. Several weeks later on Thursday April 22, the technician, who shared that he is the new owner, arrived to repair the Spa with the wrong valve. April 29th, he arrived with the correct part but with missing small O rings. The technician proceeded to cut the hose inside the cabinet under the valve.That is when I insisted that he call PDC, the manufacturer, regarding the repair. Thankfully, PDC has since assigned another dealer to service warranty work on my new Biscayne Spa.

Only had to wait a couple days to get them to fill our pool when others had a month wait. Great service

I can’t see how anyone could give this place a bad rating. They deserve 10 stars! Pat, the owner, is VERY knowledgeable and professional, yet friendly. We ALWAYS get treated like we’re her best friend as soon as she sees us. She has always helped us keep our pool sparkling and easy to maintain by keeping us up to date on our sand changes, automatic cover maintenance, openings and closings. Quotes are accurate and fair and the service crew is awesome! You couldn’t ask for nicer people to do business with! I HIGHLY recommend them!

I went in today with a water sample to see what all I need to clear the water. My husband explains to the lady that we filled our pool with our well and that we know our water is high in iron. She ignores my husband and that sample states it’s high in high. She tells me to shock the pool and now after I shock it, I have brown to red pool water. I now have to deal with dealing with the iron. I will never again use Dixon pool and will never recommend them.

We recently purchased a floor model spa and we had come in 30 minutes before closing. It has truly been a busy time for their industry and they were whooped. Pat was cranky that day and didnt help very much, and for the next week after paying cash we had very little contact. After we finally got delivery a little less than two weeks later, she became much nicer and responsive and helped me so much even with my mom going in to get water testing and sell her more chemicals. So I would give 4.5 stars but you cant so I gave 4. But she even called me back today to make sure we were okay. I would definitely use them again and I think the problem was she was extremely overloaded at the time. I recommend you using them!

Friendly and the main lady is very knowledgeable and shared several tips with me that no one else has. Ive made them my main go to pool store even though its 25 miles away.

I called yesterday to ask about my pool water being brown. Woman who answered said to bring in a sample. I showed up, stood in line for quite awhile, while they helped the two people behind me even though I had been standing there. Owner finally acknowledged me, looked at my water sample and said “I’m not testing that muddy mess.” Then she points to a wall of multiple products and tells me what to get. As I stood there lost, her son finally came over to help me. He agreed my water should be tested but his mom again refused. I bought what she instructed, but was given no information on how long it would take for my water to change color or how I should maintain the water after it clears up. Her son was very polite and has good customer service skills, which he obviously did not get from his mother. Sadly even though this is close to our home, we will never go there again. Left a pretty bad taste in my mouth. I would rather drive to Backyard Leisure in Greensboro where they are friendly and helpful, plus the prices are better. Good customer service is a must for me.

I was just reading through the reviews trying to figure out how in the world this place doesnt have all 5 star reviews. The owner is so nice and knowledgeable. And our service has always been completed correctly on time and at a fair price. I love going in the store because there is always something new....Im sure my husband wishes I wasnt going in as often!

We had a great experience with Dixon Pool & Spa . We brought in our water sample from our pool and Pat tested it , then told us exactly what we needed and had instructions for us printed out to take home ! Our Pool looks Beautiful and look forward to this Summer Quarantined poolside!

I bought a hot tub here and received excellent customer service and when I moved they transported my hot tub to my new house and everything went like clockwork. The new house has a pool as well and they were the builders of said pool. Now pat tests my pool water and hot tub water every month and tells me exactly what to put in the pool and hot tub. Down to the oz and when to put it in and how long to wait between additional chemicals. It’s all printed out as well. Couldn’t be any easier. Anyway I’m completely satisfied with the stores customer service and with pats experience and knowledge with water chemistry. I guess people have written their thoughts and observations here like me, basically I’d say make your own mind up. I for one will be a loyal customer.

April Dixon is probably the rudest woman youll ever speak to. No matter how nice you are to this lady she is always short with you and has absolutely no personality. God forbid you disagree with an invoice. Probably one of the most unprofessional businesses Ive ever dealt with. Service is not timely. They lie to you and tell you theyve checked things when they havent. They do not update you when they come to maintenance your pool. Invoices are not itemized correctly. I shouldve went somewhere else when they closed my pool last fall due to how rude she was then...but I tried them once more to open my pool this Summer. They were a month late opening my pool due to rain, etc. I get that. Im not one to complain when its mother natures fault. However, they had time to get the work done. And if they didnt they shouldnt have promised it to be open beginning of May. I called beginning of April to put myself on schedule for beginning of May. Pool wasnt open until END OF JUNE and still wasnt functional. They finally decided I needed to change my sand and left a leak that water logged my building beside the pump. Said they came out to look at it (they didnt) and told me I needed to replace a totally different part that wasnt even causing the leak. Yes that part probably does need to be replaced at some point because its old and I get that. But it wasnt causing the 6 inches of standing water around my pump and building! Just horrible service guys. Dont use them.

Took 3 months to get my spa “fixed” the owner was rude on the phone and the service men did not ground the spa motors, they replaced the heater. The service men did what they were supposed to do but didn’t make sure the spa was safe. I was charged for 3 service calls and a heater... when the installers should have had the right parts for the job. My spa still isn’t working right! Constantly over heating... I won’t be using them again!

We have a hot tub, and it always requires maintenance. Dixon pool and spa makes it so easy! We bring a water sample, they test it, tell us what we need, and print out step by step instructions on what to do. If something we have already is as good as what they recommend, they dont try to push it. Instead, they admit it is just as good and just move on. And on more than one occasion, from more than one person, we have been told that one specific chemical is just baking soda so just go down the road and buy a big box and save the money! I never hesitate to stop in.

We’ve had our pool for over 10 years and Dixon Pool and Spa has always been helpful from installation to maintance. They are very knowledgeable and have been instrumental in solving the few problems that we have had through the years. We have always been treated with respect and made to feel welcome.

The installation of our pool went well enough. However the service was terrible. We were charged for services not performed, None of the seasonal closings were done correctly. Come spring, parts were missing, the cover collapsed, letting in leaves and debris contaminating the water, and they refused to ever assume responsibility. then they charged us another $600 to drain our pool. The deciding factor for me was when Mrs Dixon told me they were doing me a favor. I now have a wonderful ,honest pool service company and no more favors or problems.

Place has changed for the Good, has started back selling bacquacil products at a reasonable price. Owner is very helpful and friendly.

Help solve difficult pool problem with no charge sells u just what u need nothing more and very detailed when if comes to using them. As a home owner with a pool it’s a must to have a pool store so dedicated to helping you. I’ve been to many different pool stores that sold me thing that ultimately didn’t solve any of my issues costing me hundreds of dollars and still end up having to figure out what was going on. First time I went to Dixon swimming pool she knew exactly what my problem was. And I worked!!! I’ve had a lot of ups and down with my pool and from now on I will only do business with you guys. Thanks for being my saving grace in the tuff times and Steering me in the right direction the first time.

Tried to put Calcium Chloride in my car when I was buying Salt - Sodium Chloride. Even argued with me. Be VERY careful.

Bought the wrong product and they wouldnt even let me exchange for in store credit. Ridiculous! They still keep the money!

We contracted Dixon Pool to build an in ground pool at our property on April of 2012. They gave us a wrong estimate on the total project cost. They reached out contractors that gave us an estimate based on a layout/project that had to be changed once the construction started because the project that they made to us didnt correspond to how the pool would really needed to be laid on the property. The so called new layout made the final price on the retaining wall double and they never assumed any responsibility about it. Also, the new layout ended up with the pool in a top of a hill which caused us to have costs with landscaping that were not calculated. To make things worse, the communication with the company was the worst possible. We would never get ahold of anybody on the company. We had to keep sending emails, calling no stop to have any response and when they responded, they were always vague about the project next steps. When someone asked us, when your pool will be ready or what they need to do now, we didnt have a clue how to respond. We were kept on the dark by Dixon Pool. They were vey nice and very responsive with us before we signed the contract. After that, they ignored us and our questions. Worst Customer Service ever. We understand that we had a very rainy season, but we deserved to have an update or an estimate on when the completion would happen. They never gave us that. And the nightmare didnt stop there. The lining that they installed on the pool had a hole on the seam 3 weeks after the installation. We lost water, chemicals that we put on the water and they dont even know for sure if we will be reimbursed for that. And as expected they dont know for sure how long it will take to repair the pool (install a new lining). We spent a ridiculous amount of money on this project, 10,000.00 dollars more than we initialed budget. I truly hope that this complaint will make people not have business with this company anymore. We expected to be treated, at least, with respect after spending so much money with this project.

Had pool installed and it collapsed. Other companies who gave estimates to replace it stated that it was done incorrectly. The estimate to repair from Dixon pools was more than the original install. I could go on about the negative experiences from this place, but I’ll just say this should not be the place to go for any pool needs.

We purchased a filter system for our pool and when we got home we found it was broken due to shipping. We called the store back and the guy working said bring it back and he would exchange it. When we got there, the other guy told us that he could not exchange it because someone was supposed to be coming the next day to purchase the only one he had left in stock, so he could only order us one or give us a refund. Their attitude after the sale was terrible and we were told that it didnt matter if they lost a customer because they had made plenty of money this year already.

One of the worst companies and customer service Ive ever dealt with. Owner even accused me of sleeping with her husband in front of my children bease I asked for a refund that she charged on my card. They have been turned in to the BBB, the credit card company, and have left a voicemail for the Attoney General Consumer Services. This lady should not own a business or bring her marital issues to her customers
