Run the other way. We had a minor ding with our car and our insurance company (for God knows why) deals with Hertz. My wife signed a rental agreement with Hertz in Burlington, N.C., not knowing the fine print stipulated no pets in the rental car. The rental agent never mentioned our two small dogs weren’t allowed in the car, only that the gas had to be filled to the same level at which it was rented. (Do you read the fine print in a rental agreement? Neither do we. If you’re renting from Hertz, you better, and bring an attorney, too.) My wife returned the car. No one was in the office. My wife called the number on the door and left the keys on the desk as she was instructed. The next day we received a call saying there was dog hair on the back seat and we were being assessed a $175 cleaning fee. Hertz apparently doesn’t clean its vehicles before renting them, unless the previous renter pays for the cleaning. The agent initially said we’d have to come by and vacuum the vehicle. When she found out we were en route to do that and save a $175 cleaning (robbery) fee, she decided the car had to be “detailed” (huh? Why not charge for a new paint job, too?). These people are thieves.

First of all it took almost an hour to rent the car I walked In i didnt have a reservation however the young lady had to wipe the car out and vacuum the car out which you could tell was a rush job then the car needed maintenance service in my opinion then I was charged for an extra day I clearly told the young lady I wanted 7 DAYS to which she quoted the price for me when I mentioned this to her she said oh your return date was yesterday I never looked at my paper work because I thought she did her job booking me for 7 days.. Do yourself a BIG FAVOR AND RENT FROM ANOTHER COMPANY IF THE PRICES ARE CHEAP ITS A REASON THIS IS NOT THE PLACE YOU WANT A RENTAL CAR FROM!!!

I reserved a car for four days as my vehicle was in the garage. Price all in was $176. I arrived to pick it up and the lady told me it would be $134 per day for the compact car. I told her of the prie quoted and she said there was nothing she could do. I called her manager and she found the reservation at $176 and then proceeded to say the price was nos $225. I refused the car as I preferred to make do with help from my children rather than be messed about like this.

If zero was a rating, thats the rate ill give this location. I do feel that the manager was discraminating due to race. We reserved a cargo van today and when we arrived at the location the manager was saying that we couldnt use a debit card to finish the purchasing process, we would need to use a major credit card, and he also said there would be an extra charge for out of state, but when we confirmed everything the day before with customer services they didnt mention a major credit card our extra holding fee on top of the fee included in the total price. The manager wasnt trying to apologize or anything. There will be an open investigation on this location due to discrimation and reevaluate the team. corporate has been contacted.

My wife tasked me with finding a 15 passenger van for her trip with 12 teenagers for a retreat. Upon speaking to Brett, they didn’t have one but he said he would make some calls and get right back to me. He did just that and found what I needed. Upon picking up the van I found out that my van was taken by another location in error and he found another near Charlotte! He went above and beyond for me and made me look like a hero! The van was great and the rental process was easy and professional. Kudos to Brett!

I took a mustang car rental here, they gave me the car key in just 5 minutes and I left from there in 10 minutes. They so quick nice people

I dropped my car off on time and the manager at this location claimed I was 3-4 days late. In result Hertz stole 1500$ from me. 3 months later and they refused to give me my money back. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE.

My rental car had not been cleaned prior to my arrival. I was told he would get me a $50.00 credit if I would take the car dirty. Never got the discount. Had problems with the car going through mountains. The car ended up being towed and I had to get a ride to the airport to get another car. No problems switching vehicles. I have alway received great rates from Hertz.

We scheduled a rental car with our insurance due to my car Being in the shop worked on. We called three hours prior to make sure the car would be available for pick up. When we arrived the car was NOT ready and the person upfront Didn’t seem to be having a nice day. After a 45 min wait the car still had to be freshened up so it took us around 1 hour total to pick up a rental car which should have been ready when we arrived. Two days later the car started to give warning alerts that the car required maintenance and needed to be taken into dealer. When I tried to take it back to the closet dealer in order to adobos the same experience in Burlington NC, every hertz I tried to take the car too was no longer in business. Word of advice I hope State Farm moves their rental business else where and hopefully you do too.

Very dissatisfied on multiple levels. First of all, this company or franchise does not care about the health and well being of customers in the midst of this pandemic. The car was clearly not wiped down after the previous renter. They did not have hand sanitizer available for customer use and one of the staff who came over to argue with my husband had his mask on the chin, ignorantly putting everyone in the room at risk from his droplets.if you have a weak immune system this is not the place to rent

The price I received was the best out of area companies I compared online. The car I received a was perfect fit for the trip we took. John was super helpful and patient in explaining everything and answering all my questions. Will definitely rent from this location again.

The worst experience I have ever had at a car rental company. Reserve a car 4 days ahead of time just to arrive to pickup the car for my family vacation to be told we dont have any cars and probably want have any today. Hertz doesnt seem to care as they are aware of this issue. Luckily Enterprise is around the corner and will go above and beyond to get you in a car.

I don’t even want to give them one star. We made an online reservation thru the job and we got there only to find out they didn’t have the car. The person working there said they tried to call which was the wrong number and he was unapologetic about it. He was rude and didn’t even try to call to other local Hertz to see if he could solve the issue. Don’t waste your time going to this Hertz. We ended up having to go to Enterprise.

Worst experience I have ever had at any business hands down. My truck was hit by someone and their insurance sent me to this location. I called 5 days in advance and spoke to someone, who I told, I would be in Monday between 12 and 1. They took all my information. Claim number etc. I was told they’d try to have a truck, but if not they’d get me the biggest thing they had available.When I arrived at 12:45 Monday I was told they had nothing but a cargo van they could give me and I must have called someone else and not them....in fact I called their number and called that number back to show him I called them. He was amazingly rude and dismissive. Literally followed me out of the store like he wanted to fight me.....

Not happy, very few cars to choose from. I had 3 selections to choose from, 2 of them the seats are badly stain. The customer service person was trying to be sarcastic in a nice way with a smile. I responded back the same way.
