My 7 year old daughter started training in basic jujitsu and absolutely loves it. She is excited to go to class and has nothing but positive things to say about her coaches. She comes home after every class and continues training. She is eager to learn as much as she can to achieve becoming a black belt. Her confidence shines and improves with every class that she attends.

We have been coming here for a few months now and the kids have loved every minute of it. I can see the benefits of discipline. I love that the students of the Master class help with the younger students. It sets a great example for the future.

We have been attending TXBBA since 2017, when my son started in the Little Dragons class. Over the course of our time here, he has learned and progressed so much. The instructors care about him and make him feel special at every class. They are dedicated and focused and help him achieve his goals. The social skills they teach help my son in home, school, and community life.

TXBBA is so great! We’ve watched our young son develop into a leader in such a short time. They are so great with the kids and treat them at their skill level, helping them gain confidence and grow. We love coming to TXBBA!

Sadly, Our experience was very unprofessional in my opinion. The young man that ‘ran’ classes was too worried about the mothers watching their child instead of teaching actual skills to the children. I was not impressed and was able to find another location that has been so much better and has taught my children so much.

I cannot speak highly enough about this place! My kids have a blast while getting exercise and learning valuable lessons and to be better people! Master Elijah is sooooo good with kids, and Master Tyson is the best possible role model I could think of for my son. All of the instructors are very patient, friendly, and knowledgeable. I have already noticed a positive change in my kids. My son actually calls me maam now! Whaaaa???? Lol.Im so glad I found TXBBA! We will definitely be sticking with this place. ;)

We have been here for 18 months and love the facility and everything our child has learned. It has helped immensely with focus, dedication, achieving goals and athletic ability. TXBBA offers something for everybody and all different abilities/skills. It has become our second family and home. Stick with it and you wont be disappointed.

My husband and I signed up our grandson for classes with this organization. We were very happy at first, a bit disappointed that majority of the equipment and testing to get a belt up is also an additional cost, but our grandson enjoyed the classes and the feeling of community, so, we continued. Once COVID-19 hit us here in America, I was personally affected and lost my employment. My employer said, either come to work or stay home with your grandson, your choice. Well, since the schools were only online option, I had to stay home, he is only nine years old, what else can you do you know. We were down to one income and I begged and pleaded with these organization to please stop the $160.00 a month, at least until I could get my head above water, no dice. They stated, and I quote, we have a business to run. So, I continued to pay and I just made a bulk payment to pay them off now that Im finally employed again. Honestly, I felt shaken down, like mafia style and I am considering speaking to my attorney, out of principle of the matter. My mother (75, COPD, pacemaker, COVID may not be gentle with her) and I (high blood pressure and a heart arrhythmia) both have extreme underlying conditions, so, sending him to class could be deadly to us if we catch the virus, but, what do these people care? None. Their financial situation is more important than your financial situation and your welfare and your family health. Remember this when you are considering taking your child to this place. I will say this, before COVID, it was VERY crowded. They didnt need my money, they chose to do this to us, its alllll about the Benjamins, so, dont feel special when you go up in there, you arent. If you arent scared of the virus and want a decent, but super expensive experience, have at it, and just, be prepared, do your research. My grandson has all these classes paid for and is unable to attend. My heart sank when they treated our family this way and wouldnt even give us a break. I can say, my grandson has all these 300 and something classes paid for, they wont expire, but, he is unable to attend. This is not the academys fault, its the virus, but, they wont even give people like us a break, its all about them and their income, not the kids or parents they are supposed to be serving. We have a special situation, and even though they appeared to care when signing up, thats just it, it was all a show for the money. This is how I feel. Because see, had they treated us differently, maybe cut us some slack, once we were vaccinated or knew how the virus affected us, we would have been right back over there, happily. Now, I feel like we were just shaken down for the money.

$1000+ down the drain because I trusted the wrong people.I wish I could give this place a better review, but it wouldnt be justified. I came in to inquire about the classes. I was greeted and told I could come by and check out the class. I did and I thought, this would be a nice way to get back in shape and learn something useful. When they were getting me signed up I was told not to worry about changing my mind. If I changed my mind, they could cancel my membership. Well I learned that I didnt really like the style and techniques as much as others Id witnessed. At first I wanted to change, but I was urged to continue the classes. I got credit for one of three classes I attended. I realized I may have gotten into something I really dont feel my heart was completely in. So I wanted to cancel, but every attempt I made to diplomatically ask to talk with the finance lady, Id be turned away. Finally, they set an appointment up for me to meet with her on Saturday. A day Ive reserved for spending time with family. They assure that this is the only day shell be available for a while. I make the sacrifice, JUST to be told that shes busy and shell have to see me another week. It was as though, they had my money and didnt care about my concerns after that. Im not sure how things are SUPPOSED to be run, but thats my experience. I continued, emailed, calling, and trying to get it resolved. Ive been ignored. Theyve taken the last payment. So, I hope theyre happy. Thats $1000+ down the drain because I trusted the wrong people.

We’ve been at TXBBA for 3 years now and my 7 year old loves it! We got to multiple classes several times a week and he’s always begging to stay for more. He started as a Little Dragon at 4 and is almost a black belt now. The staff is very welcoming and has become like extended family to us! They have helped our son out a lot and Mr Mathew is great with the kids!

So I have personally gone through this program and I loved every bit of it. I can’t talk about any of the money stand point, but if your looking for great staff that will remember you by name even after years, and a very caring one at that I highly recommend here.

My son loves this facility we have been coming on and off for years. Everyone is super nice and very welcoming. And communication is so much better now. You receive everything through email and the website!

For BJJ, instead of paying a monthly membership fee (like any other martial art) you basically take out a loan of $5000, which you must pay back. This program locks you in from white belt to brown belt, paying ~$155 a month until your contract is paid for. On top of the terrible contract youre locked into, you also have to pay $50 for every belt test. To make matters worse, if you want to take a class with their associated gyms, you have to pay for that, and they wont teach you any of that material unless you pay to attend the class. Instead of just teaching this as part of their curriculum, youve got to pay on top of your membership dues. They claim to be the best BJJ gym, but your monthly fee only covers what every other BJJ would also teach you.Another issue with them is their failure to be transparent with pricing on their website. Any business that withholds membership pricing is already a red flag. If you cant explain what I get from a membership on a website (like 99% of every other gym or martial arts dojo does) that means there is a catch.Belt progression is very lacking in transparency or consistency. While youre grinding away 1 day at a time to get your next rank, you often see the poster boy students getting complete strike-throughs on their progress cards, and ranking up. Then said student is magically ranked up to another belt. However, their skill on the mat is still a few ranks behind what they have on paper.If you have any existing injuries or concerns about injuries, dont bother coming here. You will get injured, and no one will give any thought to that when you are rolling, even if youve told them multiple times. The school focuses on winning, competition, more winning, so with the lack of respect at this school, dont expect for them to respect your body. You are simply funding their business.

TXBBA has given my son something to be proud of. The team there take a real genuine interest in the kids and helps them become the best they can be. If youre looking for a place with great structure and something your kid will enjoy this is the place!

Our family loves TXBBA in Burleson! Such an amazing place to bring your kids and even yourself to learn self defense, discipline, and confidence! We have a 16 year old daughter in MMA and a 13 year old son in Karate. We are so happy with their instructors and teammates that we have referred several friends! A fun family atmosphere. Creative exercises and drills. The instructors are excellent and very caring and involved.

The people seem very nice, however this franchise is as greedy as any other. If you plan to use a credit card, do so with caution. I gave them my credit card information with intent to use that as my payment method WHEN I WAS READY TO BEGIN. They instead filed the paperwork and my account was charged without me even knowing. I insisted on paying the initial installment in cash, and made it very clear that I intended to do so. That was charged to my bank account before I even had to opportunity, and my account was charged for multiple months even though I had not gone once. If you given them your credit card information, they will submit it whether you are ready for them to or not.Fortunately for them, another company handles there money, so they are able do file your paperwork guilt free and let someone in another state charge your credit card and refuse to refund it even though you decided otherwise before the initial payment was made.They expect to teach people of all ages values, but here I am almost $400 short, with a delinquent auto insurance bill (I drive for a living), and less than enough food in the house. But at least they got there money.

I absolutely LOVE this facility! TXBBA is the leader in the Burleson/Joshua/Cleburne/ Crowley area! The instructors and owners are ALWAYS there to cater to your needs. You never have to worry about failing. They always attend to your needs and what you would like to get out of your training. It is such a fun family atmosphere and I couldnt be happier where I am at.

Very intimidating for some kids and it was always chaotic. They were no classes somedays and we wernt even notified had to drive all the way up there.

My 8 year old is now a red belt and he LOVES his karate school! Fun!
