We love Mt. Kim! Our daughter has taken lessons since spring 2021, attended summer camp, and is now in the before & after school program. Besides fantastic TKD training, she has made great friends and engaged in great camp activities and field trips. The staff is amazing - professional, clear communication, and engaging with the students. The facility is clean with good COVID protocols. Above all, we feel very comfortable and at ease when putting our daughter in Mt. Kims care. Thank you Master Park and staff!

The team are MT Kim are very professional and work well with kids. My kids have attended for over a year and enjoyed their experience. Master Park, Instructor Aaron, and the whole team demonstrated patience and excitement during each session. The staff’s work helped to enhance the good behavior and manners teachings that we established at home. My kids were in the “Mighty Warriors.” This was a great physical fitness program and they received a great foundation to continue to grow in Taekwondo. I highly recommend MT Kim (Burke).

Master Park, Instructor Aaron, and everyone else who works here is AMAZING with children. Master Park has taught me how to be better with my kids by demonstrating to me at his classes how to get even a four year old enthusiastic about class. Once theyre motivated, they get up and learn how to kick, punch, and perform their TKD Forms.Then, they get the reward of a new belt, and theyre learning that if you work hard you can be rewarded. 100% recommend to any child of any age that is interested in martial arts.

Master Park is amazing with children, my 5 year old has been attending classes here for a little over a year & has excelled even during the pandemic when classes were changed to zoom meetings! The way he works with these kids & engages them is absolutely amazing! I wish I had his patience & skill with the little ones (or everyone for that matter!)

Master Park and all the instructors are amazing. We enrolled our daughter when she was three, and she is now five - and it is one of the best decisions we made. Master Park and all the instructors were incredibly patient and attentive with her, and encouraging. We also like the class environment, its fun and light while well-disciplined.

Master Park has mastered Zoom instruction! My daughter looks forward to the online classes and has grown a lot over the past couple of months. Master Park has even offered small group and private lessons via Zoom without any additional cost. He is personable, fun, structured, and encouraging. Were looking forward to getting back in the studio but its so wonderful not to be missing out right now!

MT Kim in Burke has been the most amazing experience for our son. Not only have we found a close community with MT Kim, our son has grown tremendously. Our son loves Mt. Kim. He has been going there for before and after school for about 1 1/2 years. Master Park adds discipline while also making it fun for the kids. MT Kim is awesome! We joined the MT Kim family last month and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. My son attends the before and after school program. We like MT Kim’s program because they keep the kids busy and engaged in a safe environment without electronics, the kids do taekwondo, crafts, board games and their homework. All instructors are excellent, patient and truly dedicated to the kids, they go above and beyond to meet kids individual needs and to work with parents expectations. I highly recommend MT Kim!

My son has been attending Mt. Kim Martial Arts in Burke, VA for a while and I can truly say that over the years of seeing the various students attend you can see growth of each individual as they learn the fundamentals and art of Taekwondo. Master Park is patient, caring, and understanding, however, he demands an environment of respect and successfully maintains control of his class. His staff is very knowledgeable and have always been pleasant to speak with. Although I do not live in Burke, I drive the extra distance to Mt Kim as they have become an extended family to us! I recommend trying out the trial sessions and see for yourself as you will not be disappointed!

Our 5 year old has been going for almost a year, I love the discipline that they teach! The classes have been getting a little but crowded but they are splitting the younger kids into 2 groups next month to alleviate that. We also did summer camp here and loved it! Flexible pick up and drop off, field trips almost every day! Well be doing it again next summer!

My daughter attended summer camp and now weekly classes. It’s amazing to see the positive changes in her attitude and confidence. The instructors are professional, yet so much fun to be around. The daily activities scheduled for camp are AWESOME and communication is always sent promptly with schedules, changes and requirements. My daughter loves her classes, but never wants to miss the special events throughout the year. There are a million TKD facilities in the area, but Mt. Kim is the ONLY CHOICE for my family.....they are AMAZING!!!

Our younger son has been going to Mt. Kim Burke pretty much since it opened. He loves going - while the training is serious Master Park keeps the kids laughing and the music playing. Both of our sons have also been to summer camp there - they have a great time and go on some really cool outings. Highly recommend - Mt. Kim Burke has been great for our kids.

My kids have loved attending after school programs, day camps, and summer camps at MT Kim. When I went back to work in the past year, I was extremely nervous about the transition for my kids. Master Park and his team instill the perfect mix of fun and discipline for both of my children, age 6 and 8. They love going to camps and I love knowing that they still get to go on fun field trips and enjoy their summer. When we have an opening in our schedule to sign up for classes, this will be our first and only choice.

My son has been attending the after school program at Mt Kim Martial Arts and he is really thriving. The focus on self-discipline has been great for my high-energy boy. Hes learning a lot and looks forward to going after school as well as for day camps or special events. Master Park and Instructor Zelie have great energy and keep the kids focused during the instructional time. We receive weekly communication and updates which is great. GREAT before and after school program. My son started when he was in Kindergarten and still goes in both the morning and afternoon. They pick up and drop off atTerra Centre which is awesome for working parents. The kids work on homework, do crafts, and play games. And one of the instructors sends a weekly email saying what they worked on and includes photos.I love the instructors too. Classes can be large but they break down into smaller groups to work on skills.Camp is also super cool. They do field trips multiple times a week, like trips to indoor play areas, pools, and parks. AND they have snow day camps!!!! No more trying to work while the kids go nuts. So helpful.

Its a wonderful place, I have never seen a place that have a great teamwork like that. They are all on top of everything, very friendly, very professional! I can see they all love what they are doing.

My 2 daughters absolutely LOVE attending class and camps at Mt. Kim Martial Arts. Master Park and his team make the classes fun while still focusing on the skills. We started by attending his summer camps in 2017 and my daughters had such an amazing time and learned so much that they wanted to enroll in classes. Its been a year and a half and they still love to go! As a parent, nothing is better than when your child is excited to be dropped off and runs in without looking back!

Mt Kim provides personalized instruction to my son in a way that no other place has done before. They are fun and fair, but firm at the same time and we like that discipline is part of their curriculum. The staff is courteous and responsive in person and via email. We definitely plan on having my daughter join next year too!

Mt. Kim was recommended to me for after school care when I first moved to the area. Weve now been there a year and are so happy with the care and instruction of the Mt. Kim team. As part of the after school program the children receive Taekwondo lessons. Mt. Kim offers camps when school is out. We have the option to move our child to a program that is closer to home and school, but why leave a really great thing?

We moved from San Francisco this summer and have been using Mt Kim for summer camps and before and after school care since July 2018 after receiving recommendations from neighbors. They are structured and consistent with the kids; which we have found to provide the most successful environment to our son. We did have some concerns regarding child restraint devices in the vans but they immediately addressed our concern and were grateful for us providing our own booster seat for our 7 year old (they have many others in the vans). I also appreciate the weekly review emails and pictures, homework assistance, and accessibility of future plans (their 2019 summer camp weeks are already available). Last but not least, I observe 1 to 3 tae Keon do classes with varying ages through the week. There is a great mix of girls and boys in each class, the kids are clearly having fun. Arguably part of martial arts and impressively intertwined are lessons on character. Great place!

One of the few places I would highly recommend if youre looking for a Tae Kwon Do center for your child. I took my nephew to Mt. Kim and he absolutely LOVED it! They not only teach kids how to use self-defense, but also the value of self-discipline and respect for others.

My family participates in before and after school care, traditional tae kwon do lessons, sparring (soon to be competition) team, school holiday/winter weather camp days, summer camp, and adult Fight for Fitness classes (ending 12/22/2019).Master Park has built a wonderful team of instructors and care providers at the center and is an inspiring, fun, and dedicated master instructor to the students. I also really appreciate the special events that the do jang offers, such as Nerf Night, Dodgeball Tournament Night, and the HallGLOWeen event (which provide 6:30-10pm care with dinner included).Overall, I’ve been thrilled with Mt. Kim Burke since day one and look forward to many more years of outstanding service.
