First of all, our car goes there to get service regularly and we never had this issues before. And I am glad they are busy with their business.Here is the story, I was there three days in line and just try to get state inspection. To be honest, I don’t mind to wait for 3-4 hours, but it seems like my car was never be touched after 3-4 hours waiting.In the first day, I arrived around 8:50 am and I dropped off my car and ask them how long will it takes for state inspection? May I pick it up before 12? The lady went to back ask the technician and told me that they cannot. So she told me to come back next day, we should be able to help me without a long wait.Second day, I arrived around the same time, the lady told me I have to wait for couple hours, then until 11ish, we called to check, and they said the car is not even begun yet. So we went back to the shop and pick it up, because we need the car to pick up our kids from school. And the lady told me, come back tomorrow, we will squeeze you in and help you.I took her words, so I went again!Today, is the third day straight, I arrived around 8:45am, they told me that the car won’t get ready in couple hours, if you want to wait then you wait; if not, I am sorry.Maybe the don’t make much money from state inspection, so it is not important to serve.I am extremely disappointed about the way they take care this. I just want to share with you all.

Ive been coming to see the guys at KC off and on for years. Growing up I ended up using quite a bit for oil changes, and after returning to the region I came back for some vehicle inspections and pre-purchase check ups.Theyve always been extremely fair and do not come up with little things to fix just to add to the bill. Despite occasionally coming in with expensive repairs, I knew it would be a necessary expense to keep the vehicles running. Regardless, I could always be sure of the quality of the work and never had to worry about problems rearing their heads around again.Typically I can get an oil change in quickly by calling ahead and checking that they have availability that day, or dropping off if I have the time to spare. Otherwise, theyre usually very open to working around the issues and getting repairs done as quickly as possible. They recently helped out with an unexpected battery replacement with some rather difficult factors to navigate and got the job done extremely quickly, all things considered.My hat goes off to these guys for their professionalism, courtesy, and honesty. Were I still living in the area they would still be my go-to shop. Bravo!

I went to them for an oil change, brake squeak, and an alarm issue. They charged me $40 to tell me the brakes were good and didnt find the brake squeak problem. They blamed rust. When I got the car back the lock didnt work. It cost me over $300 for an oil change because of this. Every where else Ive gone would have done the break inspection free and certainly wouldnt charge me if when they dont find any problem.

Took my car in for a slow leak and tire plug. The next day the tire was low again so I took it back. They said there was another nail, and then charged me another $25. For $50 I could’ve gotten a new tire, and I missed an appointment because of it. Since they missed the second nail the first time the least they could’ve done was discount the second plug. Seems like they’re overpriced and not very customer service friendly so I won’t be back.

This repair shop is the best. Ive been going here for over four years and every time Ive taken my car in theyve done a great job at a reasonable price. John is informative and always lets me know if he thinks something is going to be needed now or in the near future. I appreciate being able to plan for these larger expenses. My recent repair was a front brake job. They got it done in a day. The guy who picked me up at my house to bring me back to the repair shop to pick up my car was friendly and a very safe driver. I love everything about KC and will always take my cars here.

Built an entirely new low cost exhaust system for a 17 year old Saturn when the replacement was impossible to get. Extended the car life beyond 20 years. Very satisfied.

Initially I liked the place but am now done with them. They seem to be decent people, but they take the parts they buy at discount and mark them up considerably. They often overcharge for labor. Based on multiple phone calls I made to part dealers and other shops, my last (and final) repair job cost $150 more than it should have. Thats at least a 30% surcharge for someone who was a regular customer. You can do better.

They were fantastic from the front desk receptionist to the technician. Honest and fair with their assessment of our Honda CRV. We needed the brakes and tires replaced, but they told us there was still life left on them. I never thought I would hear a mechanic say that! Highly recommend and we will be coming back again soon.

Excellent service and outstanding customer service are the hallmarks of KC Automotive. I have taken my Ranger in for service several times and each time I was completely satisfied with the service. Ive take five different cars to KC Auto over the last few years, ranging from clunkers to new hybrids, and Im always felt that their prices are fair and their service is excellent. They are very good about presenting options: telling me upfront what should be done now, and what could be put off until later. Ive never felt like they try to talk me into something that isnt necessary, never had a problem with any of their work, and never felt overcharged. They have even sometimes come in significantly under the original estimate they gave me. Highly recommended.

Ive used this shop for over three years. They are always truthful and honest about what needs to be done and what can wait. They quote what they feel needs to be done worst case scenario; however, only charge for what was done and are happy to give you a break down of the work. Everyone is very polite and overall so far they have saved me $3,500 which other shops tried to extort from me. Ive always been great full of this shop especially to others in the area. I recommend this place even to strangers ice overheard need a mechanic. Keep up the good work. The latest quote was believed to possible be $1,500 but ended up being only $1,024. :-) and the parts were ordered and delivered the same day, work was finished as promised, the same day and in time to pick up my son as I had mentioned that as a fear. I will only continue to go to shop.

As long as I live anywhere near Burke I will always take my car to K C. They do excellent work and they are extremely honest and straight forward. I have never had another mechanic anywhere treat me as well and as honestly as the people over at KC do. I have been bringing my cars to KC since early 2000 and I have no plans to look anywhere else. John, the guy who usually calls people and lets them know what is going on, is very good at explaining everything like it is and he is very honest. He is awesome and has been nothing but helpful each and every time I have taken my car in.

Parked my car here for close to 2 hours and staff were able to pinpoint the problem and resolve very quickly allowing me to get on the road again. Thanks guys!

These guys are scrupulously honest, they will go out of their way to get you the most affordable repair possible. It is rare in this world to find a business that runs on integrity and honesty. I highly recommend KC Automotive and I will continue using them for whatever car repairs I need in the future.

6/2/2014I thought Id found a good solid shop. Now, after over 1,500 in cumulative labor charges for two jobs, Ive decided..not. The last 500.00 charge for labor entailed installing an after market product for the OEM one. One of the highest after market products out there, highly rated with never a reported problem. They couldnt do it citing manufacture defect. There was no defect. They failed to follow the provided instructions, which in turn simply led to putting the old parts back on. So, I got back what I put in, only 500.00 lighter. They will also fail you for state inspection, not adequately explain why, then when you bring the vehicle in for the work, they inevitably find need to change much more than just the state defect. Nice and personable bunch, but they use it to be a wolf in lambs clothing. Will never go back.

Horrible customer service from the Service Manager John. Never got a chance to explain what was going on with the suspension on my Range Rover. His words and tone were rough from the beginning... I was so taken back that I had to ask him why was he speaking to me in such a way. He explained that the mechanic I was looking for was gone for the day. I was floored and didnt understand what had happened... Confused and embarassed ( there were other customers in the store) I left. I feel as if he treated me in such a manner because I was a female because I truly believe he would have never spoken to someone of the opposite sex in such a manner!!! I wasnt aware that my money wasnt as green....

Ive come to find that the guys at KC are helpful and VERY honest.John, is very customer oriented and ready to please and serve when ever I go. He is also, and most important, very honest and straight forward and keeps his promises.I now take all my cars there for what ever is needed.

KC Automotive provides the best service Ive ever had at an auto shop and at very reasonable prices. For example, a synthetic oil change at Jiffy Lube and most other shops usually costs me $100-115 and at KC Automotive its only about $80. They always call you with an estimate before working on your car, and they dont try to rope you into doing any unnecessary or costly maintenance. If they ever make a mistake (which is rare), they will take care of it professionally by apologizing sincerely, correcting the mistake, and refunding the money. Theyre the absolute best!

Great service at a fair price. KC and John are excellent to work with and provide estimates that are at or below the actual cost. They offer alternative repair options whenever possible. On several occasions I have had them tell me I can wait on a repair or have called to get a refurb or used part. They have even called out of state junkyards to find a lower cost part for me. Very trustworthy and honest. They have my highest recommendation.

Friendly at the front desk, but ultimately unprofessional under pressure, and absurdly overpriced. They somehow couldnt find a certain part for me at a lower price, so I did a Google search for it myself and what do you know? Found it for a lower price.

JUST HORRIBLE. They charged me 1300 and my car broke down a week later. They towed it back again, fixed it again, and then it broke down again another week later. They then towed it back a third time and told me that they couldnt fix it or it would be another 800. What did I pay for then?

I bought pads and rotors for my van intending to replace them myself. When that wasnt happening, KC was happy to do the work with my parts, did it fast, and did it for a fair price.
