I had been going to Floyd’s since before the Burbank shop opened. At that time, they were edgy, played great music (which was unheard of in most salons) and the stylists seemed to really enjoy being there. That gradually changed. First, the massages went away…quietly. You actually had to ask for one. Which always made me feel awkward, so I would usually decline. The music became “canned” like Starbucks. The edge was gone. Before long the stylists were bashing each other, trying to steal each other’s customers and complaining about the management. Too much drama. I don’t think they have even one male stylist left on staff. Weird for a “barber shop”.

They get down with their cuts. They make it work to the style you want. The vibe inside is cool and staff is friendly. They maintain their cutting areas cleaning. Worth the price when you want it done right.They have an assortment of styling products.

I needed to ditch my Pandemic Pompadour Ive been wearing for the last 6 months. I made a reservation and within a few hours walked out with EXACTLY preferred style of haircut I showed to McKynlie (their Assistant Manager) on my phone. She is a true professional, a great and witty conversationalist with a superb eye for detail.! I loved the vibe, all the staff, and felt like a returning customer even though it was my first visit.

I only go to Floyds for my cut, whether in LA or San Diego and it is amazing whatever shop you go to. Angela was my stylist this time and she was perfect. She paid attention to all of the details and I left with an amazing cut. I recommend Floyds over any other barber shop anywhere.

It took two trips to get it right the first cut was at the one at studio city Sunday at 3 30 pm very bad then i went to the one in Burbank very good

Wont be coming back after this haircut they gave my partner. Nothing was said at the time of the haircut to inform him of the mistakes. Things happen, its understandable. Though at a minimum, own up to it and inform your client that theyve been cut several times. Ive been a Floyds customer for years across different states and this is certainly not the standard, which makes this review hard to write.

Service was great, staff was friendly but sounds like they only have one person who can do a skin fade.

I always get my hair cut here. It is usually busy so make an appointment. Or you can just do a walk in and wait a bit. Everybody is friendly and. Good at what they do. Only issue (not really) is the parking. Better to park on the street. Cool rock and roll music vibe here with all of the posters of various musicians. There are a ton of locations but I here in Burbank.

I’ve heard great things about this Barbershop but the final haircut was so basic. And they charge a hefty price in comparison to other shops. Which is fine. But if you’re gonna charge more you need to offer better service. I wouldn’t return.

Decent barbershop in Burbank. Its part of a nationwide chain, but your haircut is only going to be as good as the person cutting it.Thankfully this location does a good job hiring decent stylists.Reasonably priced for mens cuts.

Jenna is my barber of choice. Shes awesome! But the other people there are also very talented. Everyone is very nice and talkative like most barbershop. They take walk-ins but I recommend an appointment if you have a favorite. They play good tunes and sell good products.

Horrible first experience, hair cut and shave came out a disaster.... I asked for a fade which I did not receive on the back one side is rounded and the other squared. Mel was my stylist she didn’t care for my hair at all couldn’t tell if she was just inexperienced in cutting hair or what but none of the lines are straight. a waste of money cause now I have to pay to get it fixed.... I don’t even remember seeing her cosmetology license posted at her desk...

Decided to try out Floyds after going to other hair salons my entire life, and I wish I did it sooner. Got my hair cut by Yvette and I havent been able to go to anyone else since then. Atmosphere is great, employees are great, and most importantly, the hair cuts are great! Make sure you ask for Yvette!

This place is great, goodtunes, friendly staff and almost no wait most of the time as long as you make an appointment. I highly recommend Katie D, Pam and Yvette in no particular order. They are my go to whenever one or the other is out. All of them are detail oriented and take their time to make you look amazing everytime.

Anytime i move, i find the nearest Floyds and make my way through their many talented barbers/stylists. Eventually, i find someone i like and stick with them. Prices are reasonable. Service tends to be quick, and they allow advance appointments now.

Got my hair cut today, and it was great. The people here are super friendly and the price was super fair. My stylist, Ashley, did a great job on my hair and thankfully leant her expertise to get the style that suits me best. I Recommend this place for sure!

Ive gotten quite a few haircuts at Floyds and Ive not been disappointed. They always look great, and my hair is not easy to cut right. In fact most of the other barber shops Ive been to have been disappointing. The crew at Floyds is very well selected and very well trained. It doesnt seem to really matter who I go to there, they are all great.

After 3 bad haircuts in row, Im done with Floyds. I used to be a Supercuts kind of customer, only ever needing a quick cut. So when I decided to start taking better care of my hair, I started going to Floyds because of their better quality of service. Boy, things have gone downhill--especially at this location.First of all, Because turnover is so high at this place, its a roll of the dice who you will get. Even if you find someone you like, they will be gone by the time you need another haircut. I got Mickey this time--what a disaster.I began by telling her what I wanted only to be lectured on how what I wanted was wrong. Then, after telling her I only wanted to take a little off, she proceeds to cut my hair shorter than I have ever kept it (I should point out she turned me away from the mirror so I couldnt see what she was doing.)The final straw was when she painfully dragged the razor along my neck to shave it. Likely removing a layer of skin and leaving it redder than any sunburn I have ever gotten. All in all, my cut lasted 5 minutes. She rushed me out fast so she could get another victim in.Never again. Dont make my mistake. Go somewhere else.

Ive been here for trims a couple of times. Its a pretty cool atmosphere and Ive always liked all the girls that have done my hair.

You may get a good cut depending on the stylist you get. It seems the people who work here transfer around a lot so you may find someone you like but learn that they got moved. The waits can be long here too after work so make an apt in order to make sure you are not spending hours here.

Im sure there are talented people who work here, but in reality you will most likely pay $25 for the receptionist to book you with someone who will butcher your hair with clippers in less than 5 minutes. Even if you call in advance. Very Disappointed.

Waited over an hour and a half after being a walk in... I understand the process. Was there before my scheduled time and still, was given no notification nor acknowledgement 15 minutes after my then scheduled appointment time. $26 haircuts and bad service. Unfortunate as its a decent spot with proper barbers.

More shears less comb, please. If youre a dude with longer hair and you need your ends done, got to a stylist. I just payed $30 (plus a tip that I now sorely regret) to have my hair sprayed with water, combed for a half hour and blow dried. Then she puts the mirror in front of me and asks me if shes done. I dont friggin know! Youre the one with the 360 view! She may have taken a quarter inch off 80% of my ends and left the rest as long as they were. I wouldnt even really be able to tell if she had cut anything if it wasnt for the fluctuating amount of uneven strings that I have now when I pull my hair back. But hey, we dont go to a barbershop for a haircut, right? We go for the bumper sticker art. Floyds needs to take some of its interior design budget and put it into employees that arent afraid to cut hair.

This is not a haircut. Katy has hacked my curly hair (I asked for a trim of my 12 inches long hair) off in massive chunks. At my crown: 1 inch. One. Inch. At my nape: 3 inches. Lopsided at the front, and in jagged, misshapen lumps. There are entire handfuls missing. The manager of Floyds looked absolutely horrified, but no-one knew what to do.Avoid at ALL COSTS.

Ive been coming to this Floyds since they opened. I come directly from work and that has me arrive during the evening rush. The major lesson that Ive learned is to call ahead to get on the list; I call about 20 minutes before I arrive. If I call ahead Im usually in and out in about 45 minutes. If I dont call Im usually getting seated after waiting for 45 minutes. Big difference. The hair cuts and service here are fine. Once upon a time they tried to upsell me shaves and hair product, and they would use a back massager on me when the cutting was done. All of that has fallen by the wayside now, maybe because Im here at a busy time.

My favorite Floyds to go to! They always have someone available to take me in!

This girl Brittany legit left me with a bald spot and tried to cover it up with my hair like if I wasnt going to notice its obvious that if I slightly move my hair it would should but instead of trying to fix it she acted like nothing happened. This will definitely be my last time going there.

Worst experience. I was told that they know how to cut African American hair I said great. So I come in with a picture specifically how I want my hair cut (a picture with all 4 angles) The barber (that was a really nice guy) said he cant do a fade. Not a problem I can compromise. I said Can you just cut me even all around.Once he started to cut my hair just from a technical point of view I could tell he wasnt use to cutting my texture of hair.Its fine that you dont cut African Americans hair but if dont then just say you dont. After my haircut is not what I wanted it to be. Then I ask about him cutting Africa America hair. He proceeded to say his partner is African American and he cuts his hair but he wouldnt say he specializes in it. Now if went to the doctor and my xyz wrong with me. Common sense would say you should see the xyz Doctor. No?Then he said Brittney specializes in Africa American hair. But shes not here. So why wouldnt you tell me that when I walked in. Instead of taking sitting me in your chair an you test driving on my head. As soon as I walked in it was obvious that my hair is a different texture than what you are use to.I still paid and tipped. I felt robbed because all they could say is sorry.They didnt offer a refund or do anything to try and rectify the situation.I asked for a manager, she came and still the customer service was out the door.Thats bad business. As a African American business owner I know first hand that they could have handled it better. Other than just saying sorry.They could have said sir I completely understand let us make it up to you because we care about your customers and we dont want you to feel that way. No let us make it up to you. Nothing. Customer service one on one.They said they could give me a discount for the next time I come in...why the hell would I ever come back other than for a free haircut to make me feel better about your establishment.Especially if your the manager! Who said she could have cut my hair. Wouldnt even offer a cut.Then of course I look like the bad guy because Im mad in the barbershop because Floyds messed up my hair. When at the very least they could have tried to do something to make me feel better about it. Im the customer.The fact that barbers are trained to work on everyone else hair other than African Americans hair is ridiculous.-D

Poorly managed with apathetic employees. Ive come here out of necessity and each time either my stylist hasnt shown up for the day, my hair gets messed up or Im kept waiting more than an hour past my appointment time.

I show the picture with my hair the last cut, girl from reception said that they can help me cut like on pic. Finish work its very terrible.Really not same like on my pic.When she finished she said me that next time I will another stylist. $26 too expensive for this work.

Literally walked and My usual guy garret was all booked up, kim the receptionist said itll be a 20 min wait untill anyone of the two others would be free, an hour later , nothing had changed other than the two barbers i was waiting for were just chit chatting like no one was there.. Funny part was i with 2 other people that wanted cuts..and after i walked they folllowed.. Garret is the man.. But honestly with employees like kim and i think its time for a new place..

Blonde chick didnt even know what a tapor was and how to even do that.. She did cut my hair but it was horrible and they charged me 24$ bucks for a cut . Any other barber shop would charge 15$ never going back again

Ive been going to Floyds for about 4 years now, specifically Trish who just transfered from Hollywood to Burbank. She is so good, that the 30 minutes I now have to drive isnt a big deal and I NEVER leave the West Hollywood area.
